Myriad Laments

I'm so sick and tired
Of giving instruction
Of people choosing to ask me—
I don't understand why
They cannot function
Independent and logically.
It's no fun to play games
Where nobody tries
Where nobody shows
And nobody dies.
Why play in the first place
When all of those ties
That once held you in place sit there—alive?
There's no push and pull
There's no ebb and flow
There's nothing to say
And no one will show.

Why won't you tell me why
You go and let the passion die?
We want to see it fly
But nothing will change sans you and I.
There's no right to complain
About the state of any affair
Or of what is mundane
When change, you don't dare.

I don't want to be asked
"Hey, how does this go?"
Rather, figure it out
I'll ride with the flow.
So please, no more static
Not all must be perfect.
The real world is sad
So please go and add it.
Maybe what you like
Isn't quite on
But there's no excuse
For when you are gone.
Because nothing moves
When people aren't there
Nothing can pick up
Without stories to share.

Speaking of excuses
I'm tired of those too.
I have understanding
But there's a limit for you.
And for me too—
I know this is true.
Don't ignore the eight points
They were created to help.
They weren't created in spite
But that what is frozen may melt.
But without a pull back
I can't carry the slack
Why, oh why
Can't you just come and attack?

When there's a mistake
Accept and move forward
Our world's imperfect
So we must move toward
A general understanding for all
And for all it is shown
That they may learn
The truth of what's known.
But don't halt all to change it
That's not the thing to do
Adapt and move forward
All will be fine, I promise you.

So can we stop
All the complaining and drop
All those little tiny things
Against everyone's thought?
So even if it's
Not just what you mean
Continue and go
You've seen what you've seen.
This group relies on you
As much as me
And if we want it to thrive
That's for us to be.
So please
Please please
Please just be there for us.
It's so hard for me
That I give you my trust.
Few have this, and it's a gift I do give
Because I love you all and want this to live.
So this is my cry
For you and for I
That more than get by
Myriad Reality will thrive.
