Jamie's eyes widened and she tensed up, hunching her shoulders in anticipation. What the hell was up with this kamikaze bullshit? Fucking amateur hour! This was NOT in the god damn training manuals! Missiles, bullets! Use them, people, please! She knew some of the people in these armies had some pissing contests but this was just a whole other level. Just throwing your plane at the other guy? It didn't even really work for Lancer. And her supervising officer had the nerve to tell her that SHE could get carried away sometimes!? In disbelief she watched as the planes began to near their collision.
Honestly. Who thinks of this shit? Apparently not Zarkev, he was just copying. Because it worked oh so well last time. Great, she can't wait to fight an army of pyschos who thinks throwing their planes at people is a good idea. Here come the Vlhakians! They don't even have guns or cannons anymore, just an army of jets strapped with dynamite. God forbid her squadmates keep this up. No way was she gonna let Lancer get away with this bullshit again. It set a very, very bad example. One thing Jamie knew for sure was that she was literally never going to kamikaze her plane into anybody. She'd use her guns and missiles like a regular, normal, not insane person, thanks.
Name: Chloe Bridgette Cakebread-Yonaka, Yonaka Cakebread, Chloe, Bridgette, Yonaka, Cakebread, she's fine with any of these. Or come up with your own damn combination for all she cares.
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Stand: Puttin' on the Ritz, or Ritz for short
Appearance: Chloe is five feet, nine inches tall, with long, black hair that's always tied up into a ponytail that drifts down between her shoulder blades. She's got a wiry, muscular build, her frame is defined and confident. Her features are half white and asian, with a soft button nose and wide, almond like hazel eyes that are full of life. Starting at her left thigh and travelling up to above her waist is a tattoo of a cherry blossom tree. As for fashion, Chloe likes to keep things street. A white crop top that shows off her killer abs underneath a high quality, long-sleeved, black leather jacket that is full of pockets. She wears light blue skinny jeans that are stylishly tattered, and ride dangerously low on her hips. They are safely secured with a black leather belt. The jeans vanish into black leather boots that come up to just below her knees. She has a minimalist UNion Jack tattooed in between her shoulder blades aswell.
Skills: Chloe is excellent at playing the violin and piano, aswell as dancing of all kinds. She's also somewhat skilled at composing her own music and singing. Beyond that, she's an amateur artist and sometimes likes to whittle. First aid is something she has passing knowledge of aswell.
Equipment: Chloe prefers a classic british submachine gun, the Sten gun. Three extra magazines are tucked into her jacket. Placed firmly in the back of the waistband of her pants is a revolver. Extra cartidges are stored in the front right breast pocket of her jacket, and in her front left breast pocket is a packet of cigarettes.
History: Chloe was born to a stubborn english mother and a kindly japanese father. Together they made quite the duo. Both of them served in the first world war, Bridgette Cakebread as a nurse for the British, and Kiyoshi Yonaka as a infantry man for the Japanese army. After the Great War Kiyoshi moved to London and met his future wife playing the piano at a pub. Only drunk could Kiyoshi summon the courage to talk to the pretty girl. He would go onto regret this decision, and then even later on regret his regret. They played music together in a band. They vowed to one day scrap together enough money to travel the world. This dream took longer than they expected, and eventually they settled down and had a kid, later than most people. That kid was Chloe Bridgette Cakebread-Yonaka.
Both Bridgette and Kiyoshi wanted their kid to be talented. They pushed her to excel in her studies, they pushed her to learn an instrument, or two for good measure. They wanted their child to do better than they had. Chloe loved her parents but eventually she began to push back. Hanging out with meaner crowds, rebelling more often, travelling out of the house. She picked up smoking at a younge age, a habit she still hasn't kicked. Worried and baffled by their childs behavior, Kiyoshi and Bridgette tried to fix their relationship. However it only became more strained as Chloe felt restricted around them. They couldn't understand what she was going through. There were many, many complicated, valid, and stupid reasons for Chloe to push her parents away. One of many was the development of her stand, a power she could not comprehend. This period of her life is the one Chloe regrets the most. Chloe was 20 when her mother, the older of the two parents, developed early onset Alzheimers. Bridgette found it hard to remember things, and became forgetful. Her memory only worsened as the years went on. Chloe began to try and turn her life around. To make her parents proud, for once, and stop being such a fuckup. This was when she learned of the philanthropic Speedwagon Foundation and began to help out with their charity events.
World War Two began, and immediately Chloe wanted to help fight. She had been raised by her parents with a fundamentally solid moral compass and a sense of patriotism instilled by her mother who helped fight in the war. It was her chance to do something good, really good. Kiyoshi was distraught that his daughter would leave to go and fight, but he also understood Chloe's desire to make herself a better person. Kiyoshi understood what it was to be a young person trying to make the most of themselves.
So, leaving ailing mother and father behind, Chloe signed up to be a nurse, the closest thing she could get to the front lines. On one particularly lonely night, she was using her Stand to play music to herself since only she could hear it. Her sergeant, a Stand User and member of the Speedwagon Foundation, angrily came to confront her about playing music in the middle of the night when he saw what she was doing. It wasn't long afterward that she was a loyal Speedwagon Foundation agent, and it was clear to Chloe that this was destiny. It was her fate to fight for justice alongside others like herself, not as a nurse or a traditional soldier. Still, she went through basic combat training, and later, the advanced combat training required of a Speedwagon field agent. Now she is loyal and eager to fight the good fight, travel to France and liberate the people there.
Other: Josuke Higashikata. Yonaka is the name of a cool rock band I like.
Stand Name:「PUTTIN' ON THE RITZ」
Stand Parameters: Destructive Power: A Speed: B Range: D Persistence: A Precision: B Developmental Potential: E
Stand Description: Ritz is slick, sleek, and slender. It is all wood, brass, and porcelain. Mahogany and oak panels make up a majority of it's being, with brass rings, nails and studs keeping it together. Every once and a while there is a flash of Ritz's skin, which is white and as flawless as porcelain. The largest shows of skin are Ritz mouth and nose, with it's vibrant crimson lips, and it's midiff which is flat and unlined with the exception of it's navel. It's elbows and knees have wooden panels that extend outward six inches into the open air, triangular wooden halfpipes that deflect the wind. It's eyes are moslty covered but underneath it's wooden visor one will occasionally catch a glimpse of them. They are humanesque. They directly mingle with the porcelain face revealing that the porcelain skin is in fact Ritz' real skin. They have white iris' and green, pupiless eyes. Ritz wears a unique wooden helmet. It rises up above her head like a ramp that deflect the air away. Out of this hole, a brown ponytail lazily drifts. A hole at the base of the helmet emanates a constant cool breeze.
Mounted on each shoulder is a small brass gramophone horn, pointed forward. They are connected to a flat wooden box on Ritz back. This box is the base of a record player, with needle included. One the side of this box are four slits with a vinyl disc poking its edge out in each. There is one vinyl record on the player itself, ready to be played. This recorder box is built directly into Ritz' body.
Ritz wears wooden gauntlets that are studded with brass at the knuckes. Her arms are also slightly longer than they should be proportionally. It wears segmented wooden trousers ride up a few inches beneath Ritz belly button. They are connected with wiry suspenders to a slick wooden crop top that goes around the gramophones base to make room. Ritz is shiny, all of it's wood and brass are polished and reflective.
As Ritz moves, the sound of wood on wood, brass on brass can be heard from within her. Aswell as the sound of a vinyl record currently playing no sound, the warm static of analogue music, can be heard whenever she appears or disappears. This warm static sharpens and rises into a cracking crescendo whenever Ritz moves quickly. Ritz has no obvious personality of it's own. When left to it's own devices it mimicks a habit of it's user and quietly hums to herself. Whenever it speaks, it sounds as if it's being played on a record. Crackling, spotty, analogue and homely. Other than this voice filter, it's voice is that of Chloe's. When it does talk, it's porcelain mouth does open and there is a tongue and teeth inside, though they are also made of some kind of ceramic material.
Power Description: Ritz has the power to record and play back noises with the five vinyl records it has available to it. Her power is that whenever she plays back the records, the physical effect of the sound being played takes place in the real world in the exact same way.
For example, if Ritz used a blank record to record the sound of a grenade going off twenty feet infront of her, she can play that record back to create an idential grenade explosion twenty feet infront of wherever Ritz is standing. The front orientation of each vinyl record is marked with a red line. She can play this explosion on a loop, stopping and resetting the record without having to her her hands to do so. In order to switch out records, Ritz has to use her arms to reach around, grab, and switch out the record. Playing on the gramophone is not the only way to activate the effects of Ritz, however. The sound effect also plays when a record is broken. The sound escapes from within the record and plays it's full course. The vinyl discs are floaty and light and can be throwing like frisbee discs. Upon shattering the entire record will play once, and then the sound is lost forever. Each vinyl record has two sides. Each one can have a different effect stored. If the record is broken, both sides of the record will play at once.
Ritz recording range does have a limit. Louder sounds are more easily recorded from farther away. Still, the needle recording implement of the record is far more perceptive than actual gramophones.
When a sound is quiet or too far away, the static inherent in a vinyl recording will appear. If Ritz records the sound of a grenade exploding 1000 feet away, the explosion itself will be spotty. Like someone cut holes in the actual explosion itself. The colors will be faded aswell. This means that people caught in this explosion will be far more likely to survive or even potentially escape unscathed.
Ritz has a limited amount of sounds available to her. Five records, ten sounds of up to 22 minutes long. However, she has an infinite amount of blank vinly records avaiable to her. These are drawn forth from a slit in either one of her forearms. These blank records have a utlity of their own. When thrown, they break, and hurt people. It's like throwing a sharp disc at someone, it kind of hurts. They also have a special effect, however, in that when directly shattering on a person that person will hear loud static in their ears for twenty two minutes. If Ritz attempts to record a new song while she already has ten stored, it will simply not work. She needs to either break a record and place a blank one under the needle or record over an old one.
This same effect is also applied on Ritz fists. A direct hit will make the person hear crackling vinyl static for 22 minutes. The sound grows in loudness and intensity the more times they are struck by Ritz, but the effect will always last no longer than 22 minutes.
Disc 1, Side A: The sound of Ritz punching for two minutes straight.
Disc 1, Side B: The sound of Ritz punching for three minutes straight.
Disc 2, Side A: Machinegun fire from Chloe's sten gun. The bullets are created two feet directly infront of Ritz and travel horizontally. Thirty rounds, a brief two second pause, and thirty additional rounds are fired.
Disc 2, Side B: Machinegun fire in a circle. Two fully automatic weapon thirty round bursts spin around Ritz in a circle, then stop.
Disc 3, Side A: The sound of a grenade going off thirty feet infront of Ritz.
Disc 3, Side B: A smoke screen bursts forth from Ritz's feet. Several grenades go off throughout the recording and the entire twenty two minutes are used up by creating smoke. A cough can be heard every once in a while.
Disc 4, Side A: A heavy reinforced steel metal plate is slammed down infront of Ritz, and stays there for five minutes. Transferred to throwable disc, then broken. Currently unused disc.
Disc 4, Side B: A Churchill tank appears infront of Ritz and immediately fires off a round. It drives forward, firing shells infront of it aswell as surpressing machinegun fire. It travels for 100 yards before fading into static. The entire drive forward lasts about a minute.
Disc 5, Side A: Twenty two minutes of hit singles, both formal and swing.
Disc 5, Side B: A very scratchy recording of someone playing the violin.
Other: Puttin' on the Ritz is a reference to a song written in the 1930's and it's remix by Taco in the 80's. It is a song of exhorbitant wealth, greed, and enjoying the present moment.

Annie bit her lip and watched as the little girl walked away. That made her feel sick. The mistakes of a child can ruin the life of the adult they will grow into being. It was unfair. The world shouldn't work that way, but it does. Maybe it'll get better someday. Doug was always happy to get pet, though. That was one constant. As Andy spoke she looked down toward him.
"That's so sad..." She said, trailing off. "There's...there's places she can go, you know. I'm going to call someone tonight. It's not right for a kid to be all by themselves like that. School or no school." The empathetic girl coughed and surpressed the urge to tear up. Pulling and adjusting her coat, Annabelle gave a brief little wave to Andy.
"What's her name, Andy? That'll help me help her." She asked, as her dog sniffed at the grass. Annie knew that once upon a time, she didn't have any parents. She was taken in by the system, though, and given to a loving family. No child lacked that opportunity, all they had to do was reach out. Or in this case, have someone reach out to them. Hopefully Annie could make a difference here.
I thought about it and decided to make this application for my second character. She's from another RP so her backstory had to be changed a little bit. Let me know if she's too overpowered. She's very durable, strong, and does good damage. She is slow and big, though. Also her suit needs to be repaired and can't be healed, and without her suit she's totally helpless. Incase it wasn't obvious she's adapted from an Iron Man esque concept from another RP.
Standing at 5'9, Natalia has an unmuscled, thin build. Her medium length black hair is perpetually tied up into a bun. In the Gauntlet, she's wearing a black tanktop, jeans, and white socks. No shoes. The first thing people would notice about her, though, is the light blue circle implanted directly into her chest. There is a similar, but smaller implement on her backside as well. Her left leg is missing from the knee down and there is no prosthetic. Natalia is paralyzed from the waist down, and cannot walk without her Powered Armor. She has a pencil tucked into her bun and a notepad in her backpocket. Natalia has wide blue eyes, a long, thin nose and lips with a sharp chin and jaw.
Personality: Natalia is a born sociopath and a born genius. She finds it impossible to relate with other people on an emotional level. When she was younger, she would often pretend, playing up her emotions and acting normal. Recently however she has given up that and simply behaves cold and indifferent. Saying harmful things comes easy, but if she wanted too she could flip on her happy switch and act like a humble, jokingly arrogant scientist.
Natalia does not enjoy inflicting suffering on other living beings. Infact, she has a bizarre, self-imposed moral compass. Without emotion guiding her way, she decided to develop her own morality using logic instead. Though her internal logic is most likely vastly different to other people who decide to help others, on the outside she does many things a hero would do. Helping the weak and keeping promises. She is a worldy person, and acts in the way that would benefit the greatest good as she sees it. Altruism is beneficial in ways less obvious than selfishness, she concluded.
Armaments:
Powered Armor: Her most advanced suit of armor. A nine feet tall behemoth of a tank. It is heavily armored and capable of resisting small arms fire. Armor piercing rounds dent it and explosives leave a mark. It is incredibly strong and capable of lifting up to two tons of weight.
Tool Box: Underneath the forearms of her machine are two toolboxes. They morph and shift into various weaponry. The most common forms are two Jackhammer like implements to increase punching power, and two heavy machineguns. They can also turn into a flamethrower, or arcs of electricity.
ABI: Aritificial Base Intelligence, or ABI, is Natalia's personal AI assistant. A copy of ABI exists in her suit and can help her manage battle situations easier. It can also talk, and is Natalia's only friend.
Micro-Rockets: The shoulders of the Powered Armor can open up and fire a volley of rockets.
Nanotechnology: Nano technology can maintain the Powered Armor. With enough time, Natalia can take nearby sources of metal and change their shape into extra plates of armor, ammo, batteries, or other tools. Both Toolboxes need to be detatched and reassembled into an advanced 3D Printer in order for this to take place.
Biography: The Evergreen's are a prolific tech giant back on her homeworld of Earth. They develop and sell weapons all across the world. Her father was the CEO of Evergreen incorporated. Neither of her parents were quite equipped to raise a child who had no access to her or each other's emotions. Natalia was hidden away from the public eye as much as possible. Wanting to fit in, Natalia faked her emotions for a long time and everything seemed okay.
Whether Natalia was just spiteful, indifferent, or just extremely business oriented, it was her own company that went on to put Evergreen out of business. PAT Industries would go on to develop Natalia's now legendary Powered Armor suits that make up elite forces in the United States military. Artificial intelligence she had developed could have autonomously operated troopers and drones fight the battles for our soldiers- though the government couldn't get that particular tech through congress. Natalia keeps the best AI and Powered Armor suits for herself.
This is where it would be best fitting to explain something about Earth. Aliens exist, and populate most of the galaxy. Earth would have been discovered long ago were it not for a special property of the Sun. A magic aura casts a cloak of invisibility around the entire solar system. Earth, the Sun, all of the planets, are completely invisible. The cloak goes both ways- the night time of Earth is completely pitch black save for the other planets in the Solar System and the occasional meteorite. Natalia has always wanted to pierce this veil, a veil she was convinced existed despite nobody in the scientific community believing her. Even if there was such a veil, how would we go about piercing it? Thus, Natalia began to develop a way to pierce the veil. It was a long process. Natalia secluded herself away from the world even more so than she already had. She had pushed away what little family she had long ago by taking up Evergreen's market shares with her advanced and superior designs. Nano bots were her newest invention, for example. Her quest to pierce the veil led her to developing a source of limitless energy to power her reactors and suit. That was when the attack happened. Using her own technology against her, a mysterious enemy took an attempt on Natalia's life. A drone that she had helped design was stolen and used in the attack. Surpassing her home's defences, the drone detonated behind Natalia as she peered through her telescope. Her left leg was blown off. Shrapnel pierced her soldier blades passed through her chest, rupturing her heart. Her spinal cord was shattered at the waist. Natalia died almost instantly.
Her AI assistants managed to recusitate her using medical nano technology. However, even her advanced medical tech could not fully repair the damage done to her body. An artificial heart needed to be constructed. Natalia turned it into a power source and is the glowing metal tube that currently runs through her chest and back. Her remaining leg was unusable. This gave Natalia somewhat of an epiphany. Though Natalia survived her attack, the enemy who assassinated her got what they wanted as she no longer began selling weapons of any kind to the government, or anyone else for that matter. Instead she focused her funds entirely on her limitless energy, and her attempts on piercing the veil.
Finally, she did it. For the briefest of moment she saw the stars. That was when her memories of her home lab stopped, and her memories of the gauntlet began.
Another thing, Rule 5 confuses me a lot. So if a character joins half way through the RP, they will be retconned in to have always existed? Is that the rule? If so, I will go along with it but that just seems very strange to me.
Name: Chloe Bridgette Cakebread-Yonaka, Yonaka Cakebread, Chloe, Bridgette, Yonaka, Cakebread, she's fine with any of these. Or come up with your own damn combination for all she cares.
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Stand: Puttin' on the Ritz, or Ritz for short
Appearance: Chloe is five feet, nine inches tall, with long, black hair that's always tied up into a ponytail that drifts down between her shoulder blades. She's got a wiry, muscular build, her frame is defined and confident. Her features are half white and asian, with a soft button nose and wide, almond like green eyes that are full of life.
Stand Parameters: The Stand’s stat layout, ranked from A to E. A is the highest rank, and often represents vastly superior abilities in that area; B represents a good, but not outstanding ability; C is roughly comparable to human ability; D and E are weak, often representing ability below human average, E moreso than D; and on the rare occasions that a Stand has no capacity for a parameter whatsoever, a Null value can be applied. Please do not ask about S, None, or Infinite values; these are not applicable to the creation process for players. Other than this, a reasonably balanced layout would be preferable; explanations for the Stand’s parameter layout are optional, but ultimately, the layout should make sense for the Stand's abilities and potential. Feel free to talk it over with the GMs if you're unsure! Destructive Power: A Speed: B Range: D Persistence: A Precision: B Developmental Potential: E
Name: De'Kae N'nm. Her friends call her Kay. Age: 22 Gender: Female Appearance: Kay is wearing a traditional ritual garb of her people, the Druid Elves. All vibrant green and revealing skin, a majority of it is crafted from the Sun-Weave. A green, plant-like crop top shows off the enchanted tattoos around her navel and on the small of her back. A mini-skirt is cut in the front, and she wears two thigh-high, toeless, segmented greaves. She also has two gauntlets on. Her long black hair has been let down and tied into several dreads, and she has a bifurcated cape clasped around her neck. She also has an enchanted green tattoo on her forehead. There are markings like this on several parts of her body, including her arms, on her cheeks, and at the back of her neck.
If it wasn't for her ostentatious outfit, the first thing one would notice about Kay is her massive ears, covered in green markings. They stick out proudly from the stands of her black hair. They quiver, move, and perk up, the ears having their own muscles that can be manipulated by the Druid Elf. Overall, her look is far more eyecatching than Kay would usually prefer. Normally a simple cloth tunic and pants tucked into boots would suffice, but the day she was taken was a special day and Kay wanted to show off the pride she had in her ancestry and culture. Shorter than most of her Druid Elf brethren, Kay stands at 5 feet and 8 inches tall.
Personality: Kay is an idealistic and a rebel. Fiery kindness burns within her, the kind that pursues evil with a vengeance, and grants those who seek it mercy and forgiveness. Protecting the people and places she cares about are top priority. She is sharp as a whip and tries to think her way out of most situations. Kay chooses to believe in the best of people, though whether this is born out of naivety or stubborness is hard to tell. Either way, The Druid tries to leave every place better than she found it.
The Druid believes in forging friendships with those around her. To her, the most important thing in life is one's connections with others.
Armaments: Sun-Weave: The armor Kay wears is surprisingly durable and light weight. They channel energy throughout her body. Even her bare skin projects a field of defensive energy equivalent to that of light armor. The Sun-Weave also helps to channel her powers more precisely.
Tattoos: The tattoos on Kay's body light up whenever she activates a spell. They help her draw power from the nature around her. However, in order to do this they must be exposed to sunlight, or near another lifeform of any kind.
Life-Weld: Kay is a wielder of a magical force call the Life-Weld. She draws it from within herself and from other living beings. The Life-Weldi s a skill she has built up over the course of her life and allows her many magical abilities.
Heal: Upon placing her hands directly on the wound of an organism, Kay can restore the damage. She can do it slowly, or immediately, though the drain of healing people increases exponentially the faster she wants to heal. Due to the nature of the Life-Weld, she cannot directly heal herself.
Structure: A common offensive and defensive form of the Life-Weld is structure. Out of thin air Kay can generate a kind of hard light. It is the same kind that automatically protects her body and is channeled by the Sun-Weave. She can use it to create a ten foot by ten foot wall, or a dome. She can use it to create a blade, spear, or shield. She can use it to create hand holds or platforms aswell.
Blast: The same kind of hard light energy used to create Structure can also be concetrated into a blast. Whether it be a grenade like exploding ball that can bounce, or a beam of focused energy like an assault rifle, Kay can generate these attacks and use them at great ranges as long as her accuracy is good.
Drain: Nature is just as much about death as it is life. While Kay is not as practiced in the field of Drain, it is something she is somewhat well versed with. Just as she can heal people with with a touch of her hands, she can also hurt them. It is one of her more powerful attacks, though she has to get close enough to touch the same spot on their bare skin for a significant amount of time. Draining someone uses up her energy, and the faster she wants to hurt her enemy the more energy it costs her.
Keen Hearing: Her Druid Elf ears allow Kay incredibly advanced hearing.
Biography: The Druid Elves of her homeworld are a persecuted race. Their rituals are believed by the Empire to be savage and barbaric. They are believed to be inherently inferior to the other races, tricksy, manipulative, and animalistic. As such the Druid Elves mostly keep to themselves in the temperate forests, but even those forest shrink with time. Most of the Druid Elves are afraid to do anything, and those that do fight spend their lives fighting their guerilla war against the Empire. Kay was born into this climate. She was one of the Druid Elves who wanted to fight, but the Senators of her village have taken a peaceful stance. Kay ran away from home and joined a band of guerillas when she was 16. She had spent most of her life learning how to use the Life-Weld at this point, and these years of guerilla warfare taught her to be even more skilled. She spent most of her time as a combat medic. The guerilla campaign failed, and Kay had a crisis of faith and identity. Unsure of what to do she fled west, far away from the Empire as she could possibly get. There she found a fishing town called Woodwater. It was a surprisingly large town, but being on the frontier it was dangerous to travel too. The village elders there took her in. They protected her for a while, and they taught each other many things. The townspeople got used to her and eventually a kinship was formed. Woodwater was a frontier village, and many wild beasts and monsters stalk the Western boundaries. She took it upon herself to repay their kindness by protecting Woodwater from the ravages of truly wild nature. She also acted as a village healer for the men and women wounded during hunts or monster attacks. It was here, on the frontier, that Kay managed to find some peace. Though one day she must return East and try to save her people...somehow.
The village elders gave Kay a gift. A large box of leaves from the Sun-Weaver Plant. Grateful, Kay took them and crafted a traditional Druid Elf garment, and was in the middle of preparations for a Druid Elf holiday festival when her memories of Woodwater cease and her memories of the Gauntlet begin.
Shrapnel pierced her soldier blades passed through her chest, rupturing her heart. Her spinal cord was shattered at the waist. Natalia died almost instantly.
