"Oh just thinking about my home, and it's fine I said i would help." He said as she slowed to a stop. "Besides i figure all the rooms are pretty much the same If I'm on the top floor I'll get a good view if not i wont have to deal with awkward elevator rides for as long, it's a win-win really." He continued walking towards the 2nd year dorms until he realized Loreal had asked another question. "Well he wouldn't tell me his actual name so I decided to give him a nickname, I think its a pretty good one myself." He Joked.

"So what are griffins like when they are babies?" Jeremiah asked. "because to be honest Mr. Feathers seemed a little stuck up, great flyer though." He finished with a sigh. Jeremiah couldn't get over flying and he knew it. "Do they always act so noble?" he continued his line of questioning.

"DAGNY! You fucking bitch. Didn't think you'd have the smarts to actually pass your third year. I haven't forgotten last year mate. I should kick your ass right here and now." Jeremiah could feel his ears burning at the profanity. "Oh no I think there's going to be a fight." Jeremy stared at the two students staring daggers at each other. "Do fights like this happen often?" He asked looking over to Loreal.

Ayaka emptily stared at the fifth year as if he spoke Russian, a language far from what she could ever understand. She never opened her mouth to respond. “A little too young”? What was he saying?
Forgetting that she appeared to be a human and 17, her frown was filled in with a touch a bitter anger. More thoughts than she could count raced through the blonde’s head. She had already lived his age at least 25 times and probably killed the same number of the amount of times as people. Of course, she lived during a few eras of wars where killing…was more acceptable and done freely. The kitsune still did not understand the contemporary world and some of it’s ignorant habitants but she knew how it now thought of killing and why picking a fight with raule because of an insult was a poor choice. However, a kitsune could never forget.

Ayaka made a pitstop at the first year dorms, claiming a room on the first floor. It was slightly different from the others, seeing as it was at the corner of the hallway and contained a larger window. The fluorescent glow of white outside softened the kitsune’s expression, coxing her silver fox out of the bag.
The animal bounded towards the window sill, taking residence there as if it were a housecat waiting for strangers who come to the door to stare at. His telepathic abilities broke through, crystal clear. Hey, Ayaka-kun… isn’t that Raule outside off in the distance?
Meanwhile, outside, Raul’s stroll was interrupted by a sound that was right next to him, yelling into his right ear, a displeasing sudden change from the peace a stroll gave you. “YOU LITTLE SHIT!” It sounded like a gruff general from the army was spitting worthless tales into his ears.
“But that’s none of my business. Catch up when you feel like it, fox.” She feigned innocently in reply. You did something to him, Didnt you Ayaka-san? Are you playing with your powers? Ayaka threw the fox a twisted smiled as she exited the dorm and headed back to the main hall.

“Humans…” Ayaka virtually stormed in there with her finger’s imprinting nail marks in her palm through the crowds and emanating some dark power about her, bumping facefirst into Ralthavar and his saw. She took a few steps back whilst recollecting herself. The occurrence, almost a repeat of what happened earlier, failed to snap her out of her extremely bitter mood. She never said anything and was cut off mid sentense.

"DAGNY! You fucking bitch. Didn't think you'd have the smarts to actually pass your third year. I haven't forgotten last year mate. I should kick your ass right here and now."

Before she could move, The incoming fight grabbed her attention, the cuss from an unknown man sounding like music to her ears. Ayaka crossed her arms and watched with a tiny smile. “fight, fight, fight.” Her thoughts chanted

Cafeteria: Ayaka’s pet fox was making quick work of the meat buffet in the cafeteria, digging his snout into the hotdogs, steaks, and other meats alike, earning some disgusted stares from students who’s appetites had diminished. At the least ,the fox did have minimal manners, moving out of the way for people who refused to go without the protein of the meal.

What sort of deviant engineer would give such a large golem the voice of a female child? Ier-Briar wasn’t exactly sure, but he decided to mark it up as the fetish of that golem’s creator. Mariam Machina was a similarly feminine name, even though there really wasn’t anything else that was ‘girlish’ about that. Waving off her suggestions of him being one of those mechanical imitations of humans, Ier-Briar replied, tapping his armored hand against his breastplate, “Not an android, Mariam, but a Gemstone, a being made out of crystals, with full control of their body. Though, admittedly, I’m still working on the control part.”

Soon, however, another interesting thing was revealed. The headmaster of the school was a gemstone. An odd one that voluntarily confined himself to the form of a mere stone, but still, Ier-Briar could tell, instinctually, that the Headmaster was a much older being than himself, even if the heavily armored child counted the centuries it took him to properly develop. He wasn’t exactly sure why the speech had been so eccentric and crazy, but there was probably a reason for his madness. A weird reason that he didn’t know of, but still a reason.

As more announcements shot by and brochures and dorms were mentioned, the Gemstone face Mariam once more and asked, “Guess they’ve set up a special building for you to rest in then?”

Ark had little reaction to the Headmaster's speech. It was underwhelming, if anything. Ark had got out of his seat and shuffled out the door with the other 3rd years. Ark made his way to an open area where he could easily take off, as it was generally easier to fly to the dorm than the walk there with a load of stuff at your sides. Ark took off his thick coat, stuffing it into one of his bags, allowing his wings to spread to full size. He walked up to the railing, and jumped off. His wings began to flap, and he began to fly towards the 3rd year building.

Ark had not taken into account the harsh winds that blew at him. Cold. Terribly cold. This was all that ran through his head as he flew. Suddenly, the cold got to him, and his joints locked up. He was unable to control his flight. Ark blew in the wind like a kite, unable to control his own movement. The most he could do was angle himself to a safer location. He saw somewhere he could crash, it was a few piles of snow around a single door. As he got close, his his joints loosened up, allowing him to do little more than brace for impact. He drew his wings behind his back, and readied himself for a rough landing. Instead of just landing in the snow, he crashed threw the door, landing on top of an unfortunate girl who happened to be standing there (Ariadne).

Ark was dazed. As he calmed down, he felt something soft underneath his hand. Oh. He just landed on top of a girl. At this point, Ark's normal life was over.

Loreal

“That’s a good way to stay positive,” Loreal commented as he expressed his apathy toward dorm choice. “I like the top floors…” She looked up at the building as they grew closer to it and then blinked at his inquiry about baby griffons. “Well, Saxons is quite proud and overconfident,” the elf explained. “He’ll probably be much like Mr. Feathers when he’s older, but right now he’s just a bundle of fire.” She laughed a bit at the thought of her baby griffon growing to be so serious and noble.

As a person named Dagny was getting called out by another student, Loreal looked over to the scene, eyes widened a bit. “Not…often,” she answered. “But it’s a school for warriors-in-training, you know. It’s bound to happen every now and again. It’s best to stay out of it—a professor will break it up soon, I bet. Probably before it starts.” With so many types of students and technology, allowing a fight get out of hand could be catastrophic.

“C’mon,” she prompted, leading him the rest of the way and into the dorms. She pressed the arrow facing up on the elevator and waited until it opened to say, “You can just drop the bags inside. I should be able to manage once I’m on the right floor. And thank you so much, again!”

{{Sorry if this feels a little powerplay-y, Norix. There's a time skip coming up in a couple hours and GMs want characters to have picked out their dorms ASAP.}}

Ariadne was waiting for Chris, maybe a little anxious because of the cold, even though not so much time had passed. She was about to turn around and tell him to hurry it up, when someone, something?, came and tackled her down into the ground. She couldn't even brace for the impact, since it was so sudden. She lied on the ground and slowly brought her head up, to check just what had just assaulted her and pinned her to the ground like that. It was... a boy. A boy with wings. Even so, where was his hand touching anyway? Ah, youth and the uncontrollable desires of lust that it carries with it. "Well.... That was quite an entrance. Still, if you wanted to touch them so badly, you could have just asked for it." Ari says, andthen tries to get out of that position, with no success.

"Anyhow, can you get off me? I don't care being seen like this, but you..... I bet your girlfriend would kill you." Even though she said so, she really, really wanted to avoid being seen by Dagny. Nothing she could do about Chris, and it was certain that he'd understand the logic behind it, but Dagny.... Well, it'd be harder to explain than that. But! If push comes to shove, she could just dump all of the fault over this scaly guy and let Dagny trash him around for a bit. IF, she saw it all that is. Ari would be in quite a pickle if Dagny decided not to associate herself with Ari anymore just because of this.

Leo sighed, having reached the base of the tower he’d found they’d changed the locks on the door, his keys no longer worked, Swearing again he hurled them down the hall, closed the door and stormed back upstairs, raiding his draws and desks for a tub of putty he’d left there. Hopefully it’d still be good to use, stuff it in the lock, dry it, pull it out, get the key cast and use the wireframe-aluminium technique he’d used last time to cast the keys.
After ten minutes of searching he found the putty, but it had dried. Sighing he tossed it down the stairs hard enough for it to bounce all the way down and hit in to the door at the end. Slumping down he set about at least unpacking most of his stuff, With the exclusion of the transport scrolls, he was intending to keep them for when he’d be moved to the combi dorm. Since for now he’d gotten what he’d needed in here for a time. Now frustrated and tired he didn’t want to read so he lent against the window and watched the outside world, he wasn’t really paying attention to anything, more just daydreaming.

Shen Huanglong
He Dun Fucked Up
Yes. He surely had succeeded in his display of social aptitude if they were staring at him in awe. The stretch of time seemed excessive, though it bothered Shen not, for he knew he had succeeded. The girl with the unknown flag laughed, breaking the silence. Interesting, so his words were a method of humor used to instigate conversation? But what did she mean by 'good catch' and 'do svidanya'? Surely the former was a good thing considering the term 'good', and the latter was likely a method of bidding one farewell considering the following actions of the speaker.

And now it was just Shen and the little bird in front of him. She put her hand to her face in a way not unlike how Elder Jiang did when Shen spoke of his dreams of bringing the Huanglong to a new age of prosperity. In short: not a good thing. But was it to him, or her friend? Then she spoke.

Boom.

Just like that, it all came crashing down. The little birdie had defeated the Yellow Dragon God with naught but a paragraph of words. The blazing fire in Shen's heart had been put out by a voice as cold and unrelenting as a winter blizzard. He had made a mistake, and now he was paying the price.

Shen looked down. He had to admit he was mentally trembling a little bit at the force of her gaze, though his stance revealed nothing. It looked like this little bird (who was actually taller than him what with 'before modern nutrition' vs 'physical modification' thing) had talons.

"Err... Umm..."

No. Stop. Show remorse, but not fear. Speak with sincerity, and with no hesitation. Stand tall, child of the Huanglong. You have dishonored yourself twice today, no need to dishonor yourself further.

Shen bowed, hands at his side and gaze down. "No," he said, "I was not informed properly. I apologize for any disrespect. Forgive my impudence." He stayed low before her for a few more seconds before standing straight. "I am Huanglong Fai, or perhaps Fai Huanglong in the west," he introduced falsely, giving a second, lighter bow as greeting rather than apology, "Second-born and heir to the arts of my family."

"It was no trouble, really." Jeremiah said. "I should probably hurry up ,I can't imagine Mr. Feathers wants a new room mate." He laughed as he laid her bags down. "It was nice meeting you hope you have a good day. He said as he began to run back down the hall towards the elevator." Bye bye, elf!" Kasha yelled from his shoulder, "Kasha be nice, her name was Loreal." He chastised the cat as he hit the button to summon the elevator.

Jeremiah did not pay any attention to any of the other students as he made his way to the building that would be his home for the next year. A glance was enough to tell him not too much had changed as he went into the first year dorms. "good the building has pretty much the same layout" he said as the elevator opened before him. "My good sir top floor please." he said to himself laughing as the elevator dinged shut and began to ascent. He began walking down the hall checking each door as he went, "nope nope locked locked nope yes!" He whooped victoriously as he found an open room. "Definitely smaller than second years'" Jeremy said laying his bag on the bed. "It's Bigger then our room at the bar. Kasha said as she hopped onto the mattress and stretched out.

"There is only one thing left to check" he said stepping over to the window. As he gazed out over the school grounds he smiled, "I was right the view is amazing".

Ark was in a state of utter shock. "Uh..Uhm.. I am extremely sorry. I did not mean for this to happen." He stood up, stepped back, and tried to help Ariadne up. "Please forgive me for this this incident. I feel awful for how I must have shamed you, so if there is any way I can make it up to you, please allow me to." He bowed to express his apology. Ark took into consideration Ariadne's previous comment. "Sorry, I don't know what you meant by.. what did you call it? Girlfriend? sorry, I am not acquainted with certain human customs such as that." Ark pulled his coat out of his bag, and began to put it on.

Ark glanced around at the small amount of individuals that were in the area. His social life was over. And he didn't really have one in the first place. He hadn't gotten a partner for the past 2 years, as no one wanted to talk to the serious as fuck guy with wings. The few people he was friends with were either blind, mute, deaf, or dead, so it is pretty clear he isn't good with social situations, and now, he may never be.
(also, he seems to have either not heard, or ignored the "you could've just asked for it" comment)

“Still as cocky as always… This time you don’t have the element of surprise, Freakshow.”

Yes, the injustice had been done last year. Mostly everyone in the academy would simply say forgive and forget. But no. It was supposed to have been a fair fight, after all, they were sparring. But that bitch right there? She kicked before it even was supposed to begin. Now, if it had just been a kick to the chest, legs, or even face, Joseph would have shrugged it off. Sometimes people get a little bit too eager. It could have been an honest mistake.

But Dagny had the audacity to go straight for the jewels.

When one decides to strike for the balls of a human male, it is done with malice and conspiracy.

One does just not simply kick a man in the balls by ‘mistake’, it is a calculated move. One goes for the balls for the killing strike, the coup de grace. You strike the balls not only to end a fight swiftly.

You do it because you wish the worst imaginable pain possible in a single stroke. The cheapest of cheap shots, the most vile of blows. The ultimate brawling sacrilege.

Well, it was tactical genius. But still. You don’t do that shit in a practice fight. Emphasis on practice!

Dagny was probably expecting him to go ranged.

Well, she was going to be fucking surprised.

Joseph charged up to Dagny and smashed his FIST across her face. It did hurt more than he had expected, but fuck that shit.

He had gotten the first blow. Yes, fighting with fists was pretty satisfying in it’s own way.

“Come the fuck at me mate!” Joseph yelled at the top of his lungs, hyped for the fight ahead.

Loreal

“Bye, Jeremy! Bye, Cat!” Loreal teased, waving as they disappeared into the elevator. She spent the next few minutes bringing her bags into a room of her choice: a comfortable one with a view. She sighed once she was settled and looked around the room, hands on her hips. She knew she wouldn’t be in the room for very long with partner assignment a thing, but she unpacked her basics: plants, clothes, and hygiene materials.
_____________________________________________________

Dagny

Dagny watched him, struggling not to blast fire at his face. Then, he did something that genuinely surprised her: he ran at her. This gunslinger fucking charged at the dragon, fist and voiced raised. Then, Joseph-no-balls slammed his hand into her face. It was impressive that she didn’t hear the break of bones, she had to admit to herself, but she stood there unmoved, her grin growing in amusement.

“Don’t gotta tell me twice, mate,” she mocked as he yelled at her to return the punch. She was tempted to repeat the “battle” last year, where she knocked out her opponent with a swift kick to the balls. Though that would probably be expected at this point.

Her hand balled up into a fist and she swung it at the other student, slamming it into his upper gut. She was going for the diaphragm, aiming to put a quick and embarrassing end to the fight. However, her speed lacked compared to a lot of other students here and taking a hit was easier for her than landing one.

The headmistress let out a sigh, whipping her hair back as she watched the students file out of the main hall. "And so begins another year.. Next time, restrain yourself from going on a rant. I think you traumatized half of the first years." The headmaster 'clicked his tongue', his essence dimming in disapproval. "What? They couldn't believe that their headmaster was a gemstone? I feel sorry for the first years, then. Cause they get Mr. Fenris." The HM laughed menacingly, and his assistant only rolled his eyes in response.

Suddenly, she perked up, placing her hand to her ear, almost as if somebody was whispering in it. "Uh-huh? Alright. Sure. We'll check it out." The crystal stared blankly, "What was that?" The woman placed a hand against her face, shaking her head in denial. "Well, we've got some orcs making a fort."

A FEW MINUTES LATER:

"What. The hell. Is this?" The headmaster questioned in a nearly furious tone. The vice headmistress stared bewildered at the sight before them. "...The culture festival shouldn't be for another few months, right?" She began to look around for a representative. Somebody was in charge, or at least had the reins of the situation. "...They all registered as one unit, I think. Traveled here from the same region." As the orcs continued to build away at their icy masterpiece, the two finally set their sights upon an orc making orders to the others. "Why are they building a fort? What is happening? I can't even right now. I'm literally able to wrap my elderly mind around these oversized grunts. Oi, you! Yeah, you!" The headmaster called out to the orc, as his assistant raised the cane high in the air, waving it back and forth to express his actions. "Why in the name of D-sized cups, are you making a damn snow fort?!" He yelled, on the brink of destroying this snowflake of a building.

Gujjab, a warrior with a large sword strapped to his back, turned to see the Headmaster and the Headmistress call out to them. He oversaw the construction of the fort since he had the best engineering knowledge, though he gave this task to another as he went to meet the leaders of the academy.

Leaping off from the rampart and onto the ground, Gujjab didn't seem phased from the ten foot fall and jogged up to the headmaster and headmistress. ""Ello Headmaster, an' Headmistress. We're just makin' fer us a place 'ere us orcs can be 'ith out bothern none da other students. See, we know that not all da student are... Partial fer us orcs. And we dunt want no trouble, see, so we made ourselves dis 'ere fort were we can be. Uh... If yer want, I can find da boss. Ralthavar, he calls most da shots, see, least when he's 'round. We won't cause no trouble, Headmaster and Headmistress. Promise."[/b] Gujjab wasn't really a man of words, but he at least knew when some problems couldn't be solved with swords. Some of the other orcs took notice, while trying to continue their work. They all hoped that their efforts wouldn't have gone to waste.

The orc begged that they keep their fort in an almost pitiful way. Hitting the headmaster square at home base, he contemplated his next action for a few moments. As his gem glowed yet again, his partner suddenly spoke up, receiving another complaint. "Students are fighting by the fourth year dorms?" The woman exhaled deeply, "...Alright. His name is Ralthavar? A first year student, if I recall... Ask him to stop by my office tomorrow. You all seem like able bodied individuals. Perhaps you can help us out. You pat us on the back, and we'll pat you. Alright?" The cane was lowered into the snow, meanwhile the vice headmistress cocked her head to her side, waiting for the orc to respond.

"Ya, ya! Got it, Headmaster and Headmistress. Oi! Saghig!" A female orc popped her head out from the ramparts. "Go find da boss! Tell em that he needs to see the Headmaster and Headmistress about da fort. And I need 'bout five of ya gits to come with me!" Soon more orcs filed out of the fort after Saghig left to find Ralthavar. Those who came with Gujjab were mostly warriors, though eager for some action after overhearing "fighting by the fourth year dorm". Gujjab counted out his orcs and turned back to the Headmaster and Headmistress. "Roight, wot da ya need headmaster and headmistress? Me and mah bois are ready fer anything!"

It took a second for the orc's proposition to click in their heads. The VHM turned the attached gemstone to face her, staring at it with a quizzical look. Then the two suddenly broke into laughter, "Oh my. Young lad. It's been a while since we've had such a good laugh." The cane was suddenly jutted out at the orc, lightly poking at his chest, "Though your orcs appear to be experienced fighter. It's just a pair of students. It's as easy to deal with that as it is for my assistant to relieve herself. Also, you are yet to be employed, so don't jump to anything as of yet. Maybe after your boss and I... chat, we can assign your legibility. Anyways, have a nice day my boy. Do well in classes, and I won't have to throw you into detention~" The gem hooted as the cane was lowered, the woman turned around and walked towards the dorms, ready to bring down the law on a few unfortunate souls.

The orcs looked at each other as the Headmaster dismissed their help. They were unsure of what to make of it, but the headmaster didnt' tell them to tear down their fort, but also they didn't want their help. Gujjab just looked back at the fort and ordered the orcs back to work. "Double time now, da boss ought to be able to talk to da Headmaster and dem 'bout da fort. And if not, well, let's make dis fort as 'ard as we can! They gunna have one hell of a time if they want to get rid of it!" The orcs ran back to the fort and returned to work, now working faster knowing that they might have some trouble later down the line.

Saghig went to find Ralthavar, and found him talking to a human looking girl. "Boss! Boss! Dere's sumthing I got to tell you!"

The cafeteria seemed to be teeming with students sitting scattered across the tables and the aroma of warm foods and drinks. The recognizable boy across from her appeared to be taking constant sips from some beverage, while occupied with tapping at a curious apparatus strapped to his wrist. Earth students seemed to own some of the most peculiar gadgets and gear. She could only imagine how utterly strange of a place the boy's home planet must be, filled with technology beyond her understanding. Varren's eyes looked more aware and more perky compared when she last saw him, the observation promptly confirmed when he looked up and greeted her with exuberance. ”Hey Lilith! What’d you think of the opening ceremony? I didn’t expect the headmaster to have such a character. I was expecting something more… laid back and formal.”

"Hi there, Varren." She greeted him pleasantly, feeling rather thankful that there was somebody she had met already in the cafeteria. She languidly leaned a heavy head on her hand, feeling a little more comfortable with her surroundings now that she was with somebody she was at least a little familiar with. Her expression changed to one of slight irritation at the mention of the Headmaster. The rather loud, grating speech had certainly not been the most enjoyable thing to listen to... "And yes, I did too...I'm sure he nearly ruptured my eardr-"

She closed her mouth before she finished her sentence, watching the boy stand up and bolt off somewhere. ”Be right back.” he said shortly before leaving. Before she could react, he landed back in his seat in an impressive speed. He held a cup in his hand not unlike the one he had been drinking from, and set it on the table in front of her.
”Erm, I added some cream and a pinch of sugar, just in case you aren’t used to the stuff. Wouldn’t want you to have a kidney failure by ingesting pure coffee, eh~?”
"Oh-?" Confused for a moment, she blinked and looked down at the steaming, sepia colored liquid in the cup. The rich smell of fresh coffee wafted into her nose. Wait, it was for her? Surprised at the boy's kindness, she looked back up at him wide eyed. "Wh - no need to trouble yourself... but, thank you though."

The consequence of being a nocturnal creature that only spent two days reversing its internal clock became apparent as she failed to stifle a yawn. As she opened her mouth to let out a wide yawn, she realized the coffee was something that was very needed. It was real nice of the boy to give what was practically a stranger some of that - she really could use a kick of energy boosting goodness. She picked up the cup, feeling the warmth tickle at her fingers behind her gloves. The last time she had said beverage was a number of years she could not estimate - when she was much younger and still attended a schoolhouse at daybreak somewhere back home in Lucius. In fact, she was ironically in a similar situation now. Except, several thousand wingbeats of a supersonic griffon away. Smiling to herself, she took a delicate sip, the coffee's taste being slightly bitter and sweet in a pleasant manner on her tongue. She put the cup down and took a moment to take in her surroundings, before glancing back at Varren. Although she had observed the students as they had landed at the Academy earlier, she couldn't quite tell who was new like her. Perhaps somebody else would know. "Um... do you know who any of the other first years are?"

Chris didn't really mind having his personal space invaded, it's just something that never really bothered him. He wasn't all that flustered when Ari pulled in extremely close to his face.

"Do you want to see some more? I wouldn't mind showing you more."

He almost seemed amused, but he gently pushed her back down into her own space by her shoulder. "Easy there, tiger. Take me out for coffee, first." It's not that he was bothered, but i was still only the first day; he didn't want too much attention drawn to himself. He didn't think anything of her tongue's reflex. He'd generally always had an open mind about things. That said, something about having machines visibly grafted onto your face makes you a little more accepting of peoples' own oddities.
As he walked with Ari, a first year who wasn't paying much attention bumped Chris to the side. It didn't really matter to him, it was almost certainly an accident. The trouble was, another student walking past blocked his other side, and he got caught in the crowd. He cursed under his breath, unable to catch up. By the time he finally got out the door, he wasn't quite sure what to think. For one, the orcs were building a huge snow fort. Actually, he did know what to think of that; it was pretty damn cool. He then noticed Ari was lying on the ground, a draconian on top of her. Raising an eyebrow, not particularly surprised at the scene, he walked around to Ari's head. He bent down at the knees, hands in his jacket pockets. He whistled. "Man, you work fast," he started. He glanced at the guy on top, and then back to her. "Doesn't seem like the coffee type."

Ironing out the Kinks:

The vice headmistress stretched her free arm behind her back, waiting until she felt the appealing feeling of the pop. ”So, why are we doing these errands? Shouldn’t we be back in the office, filling out some papers?” She asked as she craned her neck towards the cane she supported herself with. Though she wasn’t physically impaired by the slightest, she had gotten used to walking with the supportive tool. To the point where she finds it uncomfortable to walk on her own two legs. ”You know as well as I do that ‘filling out papers’ is codeword for ‘making some sweet lo-’ The woman clicked her tongue and tossed the cane upwards. Once gravity played its role, she caught the grey utility around its bottom. Facing the curve towards the snow, she shoved it and the gem into the freezing substance. She ruthlessly ignored the muffled cries as she dragged the cane through the snow white fluff, ”I’ll give you some breathing room once we get there.” She notified her partner as the proceeded to their destination.

When they arrived at the scene, there were already multiple students shooting stares at the duo of fighters. Students in arms, as they would be dubbed. The vice headmistress raised the gem out of the snow, followed by an over-dramatic gasp for useless air, ”I thought I was going to freeze to death! Even though I can’t feel, I still thought I would! I’m gonna have a cold now. Eh, screw it, I’ll just call for a random chef to bring up a cup of hot cocoa, after this is dealt with. Speaking of to-be underpaid swines…" The headmaster trailed off, fixating himself towards the students deep in combat. "JoJo! You're just in time. I was looking for a pussy to pound.” The VHM got into a combat stance, ready to intervene before things got hairy. ”WAIT… I want to see how original these kids are. I mean, if they come up with some good material, I won’t totally annihilate their souls.” The assistant rolled her eyes, flipping back a portion of her hair as they watched from the sidelines.

“Still as cocky as always… This time you don’t have the element of surprise, Freakshow.”

"Freakshow? Seriously? You’re fighting a student in the same grade, and that’s the best you can come up with to justify yourself? She’s a damn dragon! Call her something elaborate, like… scaley-face, or taco-breath… gecko-girl, jeeze, I don’t know.” The elder had to stop himself from breaking into a rant about Joseph’s horrible excuse for verbal abuse. ”Hey, look at his stance, you don’t think…?”

Already seeing the tact before it was employed, the two watched as Joseph suddenly went on the offensive, a style he did no frequent. Dagny, without enough time to react, was planted straight in the face by the fist. ”Oh. Shit. He just punched her. Alright, let’s see how Dagny reacts, then we can intervene.” After a short recovery, the dragon-girl balled her first and went for a lower attack. ”Well, I’m not to fond of carrying Joseph’s arse to the infirmary. And by me, I mean you of course, dearest. Let’s step in already.” The woman nodded, with a somewhat irritated look at her partner’s sly comment. The two sprung into action, leaping forward while readying the cane.

”OI! IKEA - Dragon Collection and Western-Coast-No-More, if a feline is to be pounded, it is that of my wi-” Rather than tapping the students with the flattened side of the cane, the VHM instead faced the gem inwards, lightly striking the students with the embodiment of the headmaster. Though it was only the tip of the cane, and now the face of the gem, coming in contact with the students- they were propelled back a meter and a half.

”Ms. Ek and and Mr. Conrad, please refrain from brawling unofficially, or face reprimanding.” She stared daggers at both of them, keeping their distance in mind. They were both experienced fighters, and easily brushed off the mere blows. ”WOMAN! YOU JUST SLAMMED ME INTO THEIR STOMACHS. I DON’T WANT FLESHBAG OILS ON ME. S-s-s-orry. My mother’s influence was showing a bit. Damn, even after reincarnation, does she still haunt me.” He sighed, causing the gem to dim the brighten up again, ”It’s getting a bit late, how about we call it off for a day? Subject to my ruling, and I’ll dorm you both together. Even after you graduate, I will force you two to be forever intertwined in eachother’s daily lives. Also, you nearly made a student shard himself. At least, that’s what the complaint said, right hun?” The woman replied with a quick nod, followed by a hand straightening her hair. ”Oh. This year, you both better be to homeroom on time. Otherwise you get to sleep in the orcs’ new fort.” With that last remark, the vice headmistress bowed, ”Have a good day.” They then walked off.

”So… Shall we get to filling out those documents, if you know what I mean- I’M SORRY DON’T-” Before the gem could plead for his existence, the cane had already been flung off far ahead.

Truths and Secrets:

Varren reclined in his seat as Lilith took a sip from her beverage. As the girl found refuge in its unique flavor, in turn the boy smiled, knowing full well his efforts weren’t in vain. After only one sip did she start to look around, in a similar manner as Varren earlier, during his time alone at the table. She quickly returned her attention to her friend, or at least the boy presumed for them to be on such terms, and perked up as she raised her eyes to face him.

"Um... do you know who any of the other first years are?"

The boy leaned forward and reached for his coffee cup, finding solace in its bitter taste. It only took him a few seconds to come up with a response. ”No, sorry, can’t say I do. I’m not too… outgoing of a person. Along with that, I’ve been split between conversing with my father, looking over diagrams, critiquing projects. A plethora of stuff to really just kill the time, which I don’t have the slightest idea of how to fill. Being the heir to a weapons manufacturing corporation isn’t cut out for what it’s supposed to be.” Thinking back to the two physically augmented humans from earlier, who also appeared to be new at the academy, ”Well, I don’t know who they are, but I might know what are.” He thought to himself as he glanced back down at his company. He made a slight shrug with his shoulders before placing his lips around the rim of the cup again.

”Oh, I have to pick out my room soon! Gotta get set up and everything~! Have to install the coffee machine, the workspace, the ammunition storage.” The boy quickly returned to his exuberant way of speaking, as if the stern personality never existed. Yinyues was still unable to tell what species Lilith was. Though he could think of ways to ease the conversation in that direction, he felt like it was imposing on one’s privacy. ”Getting kind of late out… The boy commented as he glanced out the window. Since it was winter, the majority of the sun had already sunk behind the horizon. Soon the temperature would drop, making it unbearably cold for any attendee left outside. ”Gah… It’s gonna be so fweeeeezing.” He complained, holding his hands onto his arms.

Mariam Machina

"Gemstone? Huh, you must be from Lucis." Machina had Biggy scan the Gemstone, and sure enough, despite looking like a flesh-and-blood human the kid was made from precious gemstones. A lot of them, with corresponding weight and hardness, which would explain why he wasn't knocked over when Biggy stepped into him. His existence was certainly interesting; his worth would be well over any measurable amount if his entire body was made of gems. The mere fact that he was a living gemstone would put quite a price for him. Machina wondered if people of Lucis kept Gemstone like him as signs of wealth, like conventional jewelry.

The gemstone asked Mariam if she had a place to rest. Tilting her (And in turn Biggy's) head to the side, she gave him a slightly confused look. At least she did, Biggy's face didn't show any real emotions. "I suppose I'll be in the dorms. I was never told that I need to go anywhere in particular.... But I guess they would need a place to store Biggy, since he's so big and heavy. Would they have a place for you too? I mean, you're at least as heavy as I am, but you have all your weight focused around your feet. I'm quite surprised that you haven't fallen to the basement yet. I can't imagine either of us having the second floor, that's for certain."

The guy who had groped her didn't seem really accustomed to the human society, no matter how she looked at it. If he didn't even knew what a girlfriend was, then the boy was up for some teasing. Ari took the winged boy's hand and stood up. At first, she undusted herself and then, covering herself with both of her arms, she started in a kind of exaggerated tone. "Oh, but what you have done cannot be taken back, you know? Us, Lamias, are very sensitive about these kinds of things. To be honest, I don't think there's anything you can do to make it up to me. Other than..." She now covers her facea bit, trying to sound a bit disheartened and giving an innocent look at the guy, while covering her impish grin behind her hands. "Other tahn marrying me... Breast groping is a common proposal between Lamias." She says, holding back chuckles and snickers.

She turns her head around slightly and glances over to where Chris is and winks at him, to go with the flow. "Well, of course not! This guy isn't about coffee at all, like you, he's more of going directly for the proposal!" Shaking her hips, she now seems really excited about it. "Oh, I wonder, how many kids wil we have? When will the wedding be?! Ah, I can't wait!" Ari says so between laughs and snickers, hoping people would confuse it with her being overjoyed about everything. She just hoped the guy would fall for it, and not just dismiss it as her just being stupid.

Dagny

Dagny was pretty confident the hit would connect. However, within the second it took her to ready and throw the punch, a figure appeared between her and her target. Instinctively, she pulled back her punch—and was instantly thrown back. She hit the ground and quickly recovered, rolling back and onto her feet. She was crouched and ready to lunge at the person who interfered, but she stopped mid-growl when she realized it was the headmaster and headmistress.

“Ikea Dragon Collection?” she repeated, scowling. The snow that stuck to her after getting thrown to the ground was melting and then evaporating off her skin or soaking into her clothes. Now she’d have to change, great. Then she was threatened to get stuck with Joseph as a partner and she stood, her glare finding the other student again.

Once the headmasters walked off, she snorted smoke from her nostrils. She took a moment to quite literally cool off as she gathered up her bags. “Count yourself lucky, Jojo. I was ready to break some ribs,“ she teased, smirk returning confidently as she turned to continue her trek to the dorms. She looked around at the students clearing the area now that the “fight” was over. However, she found herself disappointed not to see a familiar face amongst the students.

On top of that, she was a little bummed that she probably wasn’t going to get her first pick for a room now that she had been side tracked. However, once arriving in the building, she managed to grab a room pretty high up. She tossed in a couple bags and pulled a new shirt out of the third. She switched into the dry shirt before turning to leave the dorm, wanting to fill up on food before turning in for the day.

Ark looked at Ariadne with a look that, in itself, said "Really? Not funny." Ark wasn't an idiot, but his misfortune and lack of interest in human culture seemed to have painted him as a moron. "Jy' Verjk." (Jy' Verjk is a common Draconian expletive that is used to point out misinterpretation, in expletive form, because... well.. cursing when your misinterpreted is a thing). "Do you liken me to a fool? I'm sorry, I just didn't care to learn about humans and their culture, as all I needed was the language" English and Draconic (as well as human and draconian culture) differ so greatly that simple words, like girlfriend, have no word in Draconic that means the same thing. Well, there are similar phases/words that can be used as a translation, though Ark didn't pay attention to English that much.

"Ok. Look. I would like to make it up to you, as that is what I was taught to do. Honestly. I would rather not, given that you seem like you're having a bit of fun teasing me." Ark looked over at Chris. "I'm guessing your a friend of..." Ark looked back at Ariadne. "Actually. May I ask your name? I am Arkiyel 'ein of Grenheim, though it might be easier to call me Ark."
