The nadder was discomforted by their fast circles and Calder shifted quickly to avoid falling as it flapped back with a startled cry. In doing so he put the sheep in a position to be snagged and off Blizzard flew, gaffing in laughter as they flew over the land and towards the sea. He was easily the faster dragon but looked back to see just how far ahead they were and came close to crashing into a stone spire. He veered quickly- forced to weave between the structures and lengthen their flight. And as he came close to clearing the obstacle a second weight landed on his back. “Oi” Calder greeted, suddenly knocking the sheep out of Ava’s arms and grabbing it as he leapt over her before Blizzard could boot them both off.

Blizzard huffed in anger at the clear violation of his ’no riding policy’, diving at the boy as he landed on his dragon and suddenly grabbed him instead of the sheep. Surely it counted though, since Calder was still holding onto the animal as he shouted: “this is not how you play!” Over the rushing wind and approaching sea. This was how Blizzard was playing though.

Ava was sure they had to be in the lead and nothing would really stop them from making it to the Little Isles first without anything going wrong. But then Blizzard looked back for a split second to see, what she thought, was how far Calder and his Nadder were behind them, and when he did that, they almost ran smack into a one of the stone towers that jutted out of the ocean water below. She gasped and held on tightly to both the sheep and her dragon, only loosening her grip slightly when she thought it was safe to. But by that time Calder had landed on the back of her dragon and greeted her before snatching the sheep from her and going to jump onto his dragon.

That didn't seem to fly so well with Blizzard though. He in fact seemed pretty miffed about the boy being on his back. So, when the boy went to go jump off of Blizzard's back and onto the back of his own dragon, Blizzard suddenly veered down, and at first she thought he was going to try and snatch the sheep away. It didn't turn out that way though because instead of grabbing just the sheep, he caught Calder himself in his claws and despite how she was sure this technically counted as cheating, Ava couldn't help but laugh at the sight, bending down to look at Calder, "But we have the sheep now!" She continued to laugh, thinking about this was probably the most fun she had had in a while and she sure couldn't wait until the official dragon races.

Very soon, they had made it to the Little Isles and Blizzard hovered with Calder just a few feet above the water of the shore. Grinning, she looked down at him again, obviously very amused by the sight, "You know if you apologize to Blizzard, he might let you go. But then again, you'll be soaked if he does. Kind of a loose-loose situation here, huh?"

Very funny.

Calder would have previously said these two had nothing in common but now that they had agreed that letting him dangle above the water was amusing- he disagreed with that earlier conclusion. In some ways it was ironic because his father had once been in a similar situation and now here he was, feeling like the evening’s catch. Unfortunately enough, he didn’t pin this dragon as the forgiving type. He kicked his feet and grasped at Blizzard’s legs struggling for some semblance of control should he decide to drop him- all the while still holding onto the sheep without thinking about why. “That water is below freezing!” He shouted in protest. “You wouldn’t dare!” Blizzard let the boy slid a few inches from his grasp before tightening it again. “Okay! Okay! I’m sorry. Please do NOT dunk me in the freezing ocean.”

Blizzard hardly counted that- not thinking this Viking boy even knew what he was apologizing for but he had gotten such amusement out of shaking him up he decided to let it go. Flinging him onto the icy shore before landing himself. The nadder settled down a moment later, puffing up like an insulted bird and rattling her spikes. She snapped harmlessly as Blizzard who stuck up his nose and ignored her. “Bluebell!” Calder called as he picked himself up, dropping the disoriented sheep and brushing himself down- the nadder immediately turned towards its rider but not without one last intimidating glare. He stepped towards the pair with obvious irritation over being treated such a way: “You know that does not count as a win?” Blizzard spread his wings and exposed his teeth with a snarl, forcing Calder to withdraw. The boy regarded Blizzard warily and mumbled: “ill tempered lizard.”

Ava grinned as Calder at first didn't wish to apologize and knew that was not going to get him anywhere as far a her dragon was concerned. He Dropped the boy a few inches before he finally began to hurried apologize, obviously not wanted to be exposed to the freezing temperatures of the ocean waters. She watched as her dragon flung the helpless young man to the shore and once he had landed down on the shore beside him and Bluebell, Ava slid off, smiling, "I say that at least should count as a draw. After all, you may have had the sheep, but we had you." She teased, scratching at Blizzard's scales fondly, looking at him, "Isn't that right, bud? Or should we give him a second ride?" This was obviously a joke though. She patted Blizzard's side when he reared and snarled at him, "Okay, okay, I think he gets it." She said with a laugh, calming him down the best she could.

Walking over, she swiftly went under Calder's arm and made a move to grab for the sheep, laughing lightly when she finally was able to get it from him, "I had to admit, that was fun." She patted Bluebell's side, smiling at the bird like dragon, "I can't wait to get into the real races. It seems so exciting." Though, she knew she and Blizzard needed more practice flying before they could be considered really good at the races. Both were still somewhat in experienced, her in riding a dragon, and him in having a rider. It would take a little while before they finally got onto the same level and flew together in sync, "When is the next race?"

"When the weather improves." Calder replied as he climbed back onto his nadder. "It's late, I'm going to head back into town." He glanced back at the two before taking off. "See you around Ava."

Blizzard snorted as the boy departed and glanced back to the ocean. The night was dark and the overcast skies did little to light the icy seas. It was VERY late- he thought perhaps they should be heading back as well, that challenge may have given him a second wind but his wings ached from their previous journey and he just wanted to lay on his back and sleep somewhere warm. He nodded his head towards the sky with a small rumble and waited for her to get on. He wondered if it'd be weird for her... sleeping in her old room.

Ava nodded, watching as he got on the back of his Nadder, "See you around Calder." When he was gone, she turned to Blizzard and smiled, scratching behind his ear, "You ready to head back and get some rest? You deserve it after that long flight." With that she hopped onto his back and smiled, settling herself down and leaned forward as he took off, heading back toward the village. By now, everyone was either drunk and passed out around the fire or had been able to walk themselves home and were in fact asleep. Once they had landed in front of her house, she walked inside and smiled, taking in the warmth after such a chilly ride. Seeing her parents by the fire she approached them, giving both Toothless and Aurora a gentle pet before she gave her parents each a hug and kiss on the cheek, saying good night to them before heading up the stairs.

It was true, walking into her old room for first time in so long was strange. When she had been a child her bed had been much too big for her even then and now it was still a little too big for her. But she wasn't complaining, especially since she was ready to go to sleep. Taking her boots off and such, she yawned, petting Blizzard, nuzzling her head against his, "Night, Blizzard. Get some rest." She said and climbed into her bed, falling asleep relatively quickly.

It was a bit strange for everyone involved- it was the same girl they had all known as a child but she was older now. And though she had been gone a very long time, it in some ways felt as though it was just yesterday that she was taken away. At least… that was how it was for Hiccup. He regretted all the days lost. Not being there to see her grow and learn, unable to lend her a guiding hand. He could have searched for her on that island but hadn’t out of a desire to avoid an unnecessary war. Now maybe he was fooling himself because she was here again: wishing them a goodnight and disappearing up the stairs to the room that had once been his own back when he was her age. He closed his eyes and soaked in the heat of the fire. The warm rumble as Toothless exposed the underside of his neck and purred in contentment against Aurora’s side. Ava was almost old enough to take on his duties but Hiccup wasn’t sure how to approach the matter of her bloodline. Would she even want to take this job after being away for so long?

He didn’t want to push her, there was still time and if she really didn’t want the position he supposed Astrid’s kid was capable enough. Hiccup really viewed him as a skilled warrior before anything else though- like his mother. Ava had always been smart though and seemed to have inherited his ingenious mind with her clever inventions. He was just going to have to broach the subject at some point… That was the only way to do it.

But not tonight.

Because at that moment she was already asleep. Blizzard slumped over onto his back with a soft sigh, the cool wood feeling nice against his scales- he heard Ava’s breathing even out as she sunk into slumber and felt himself following suit. It was going to be weird spending more time in Berk as he expected this was where she would want to stay but it was probably okay. He was too tired to think about it right now anyhow.

Ava awoke to the light coming in through her bedroom window and when she blinked her eyes open, she was a little disoriented and confused as this bedroom wasn't the one she normally woke up in. It took her a moment for her brain to even half way start working and she remembered why she wasn't in that same village and that was because this was her village. She yawned, stretching a bit as she got up from her bed and went to tiredly walk to her door, only to trip over something in the middle of the floor.

She yelped, stumbling and sat up again, giving the dragon in the middle of her bedroom floor a slightly annoyed look, “Really? In the middle of the floor Blizzard?” Getting to her feet, she brushed herself off, “Well, I guess I'm awake now.” Walked over to him, she scratched behind his ears again, “Let's go grab some breakfast.” She said nd walked down the stairs, smiling at her parents as she did, “Morning.”

On occasion Blizzard did sleep here, sprawled out on the floor without any concern about being stepped on. Usually he was alone. This bedroom had been empty for quite some time but that morning something bumped him and went spilling down against the wood- graceless. If not for being woken suddenly he probably would have been amused because this clumsy girl was Ava and honestly how did one forget they had a dragon sleeping next to their bed. He grumbled and would have complained longer had she not took to scratching the right spots. When she moved away he struggled momentarily to right himself, his wings getting in the way. By the time he had righted himself she was already heading down the stairs. Well, wasn't she excitable? He wouldn't have minded sleeping a bit longer.

"Morning Ava" Hiccup put a plate of scrambled eggs down in front of her chair, they heard the commotion from upstairs and figured she'd be showing up any minute- and she did. "Did you sleep well?" He didn't want this to be awkward, this was his daughter.

Then Blizzard transformed and sat down in the remaining chair, not seeming to care he was naked and now things were awkward. The dragon turned boy offered up a sort of stupid smile "where's my breakfast?" Which was really no way to be polite, fortunately Toothless slunk over then, knocking the chair out from under his own kid before regurgitating fish on him.

Hiccup cringed with an exasperated cry: "not at the table Toothless."

She smiled when Blizzard purred and laughed as she sat in her place at the table, her father setting a plate of eggs in front of her. Shrugging her shoulders, she grinned a lopsided smile that was very similar to Hiccup's, "Well, if you don't count my tripping over a dragon this morning, then I slept very well." She took a bite of her eggs and had to keep herself from coughing up her eggs in shock when Blizzard transformed into a human without even a second though about clothing. Her face was beat red and she looked away quickly, using her head to shield her sight from him as he spoke about his breakfast. She heard something that sounded like a dragon throwing up and from the way her father got onto Toothless, she could guess that he, like most parent dragons, had regurgitated his fish for Blizzard.

After that she wasn't very hungry and scratched the back of her head, refusing to look over at the dragon boy until he at least had some clothes on. Things weren't really that awkward until now. though she was fairly sure that the dragon boy didn't even realize he was making it awkward considering dragons probably thought nothing about naedness. After all they didn't wear clothes in their dragon forms so they probably didn't think anything about not wearing them in human form either.

She sighed and looked to her parents, trying her best to smile, "Do you think all of us could go on a flight together after breakfast?"

It was the sort of excitement that he liked to see in other people- flying was something special and now that Ava was older they could really go for some long ones. Normally there would be some concerns over his duties but after that celebration last night no one would be doing much of anything today. “Of course but first I need to go fit Toothless’ saddle.” HIccup patted the black dragon as he got up, encouraging him to follow him out. “Should only take a bit.” He’d already done most of the work during the night so had just the final adjustments left to do.

Toothless was enthralled by the idea of a flight so soon after his rider had to slice off his saddle. He should have guessed that was what he was doing late last night- still so much like the younger boy he use to be. Disregarding the all important need for sleep. Which was only second to flying… If not for the promise of open skies Toothless would scorn the human. What could he say? Sometimes he was easily distracted. He followed Hiccup to the forge- glad the doors had been wider since the dragons began to live with them.

The large stumpy man with the leg of a tree was asleep in a chair that hardly looked sturdy enough for his weight. At his feet was his slug of a gronkle and behind him was the wall. Toothless predicted all the hilarious ways this could end badly but Hiccup crept silently past him with only the muffled metal clunk of his prosthetic echoing off the floor. He took the familiar saddle from a post on the wall- all new leather, pressed and treated, so delicately made with those human fingers. Toothless gave his rider a hard time though, springing away so Hiccup turned over a table trying to catch his balance. The man winced as the heavy metal instruments fell to the floor but both Goober and gronkle slept on. Hiccup gave him a stern look and then took to fastening the saddle.

It took somewhere around fifteen minutes for Hiccup to come back. Blizzard had returned to his normal form and gone rolling in the snow, kicking up odd patterns in the white before turning to chase off some terrors that landed about the lawn. He knew eating regurgitated fish bothered the humans of this house hold but hadn’t quite yet really figured out ’why’. It was on his list of things humans didn’t like though and he had gone outside to let their stomachs settle. He wanted Ava to eat. Hiccup went past him- leaving the nightfury standing near the front steps. Blizzard regarded his father with his false tailfin and complicated mechanism leading to the saddle before going back to kicking up the fluff. He was glad he could fly on his own without any of that stuff- he’d feel weird relying on anyone.

Hiccup shook off the snow in the threshold and found the others already dressed for the weather once more. “Ready? Toothless wouldn’t have been able to wait a single moment longer, I’m sure.”

Ava was just putting on her coat when her father walked in, asking if they were ready to go off flying. Smiling she nodded, "I think we're ready. Let's go." She walked outside and laughed slightly when she saw Blizzard kicking up the snow and the dragon managed to hit her with a face full of it, "Hey!" She laughed more, leaning down and picking up a handful of it, patting it into a round ball before throwing the snowball at her dragon, laughing more. Smiling she walked over to him and patted his side, "When this flight is over we can have some more fun in the snow, okay? Maybe build a snow man? Or have a snowball fight with Calder and the others?" With those suggestions out there, she climbed up onto his back, scratching behind his ear before they took off into the skies.

She was glad she had dressed warmly because today the winds left a cold bite on what parts of her skin wasn't covered and the snow still continued to fall down from the skies. When she looked over to her parents it was suprisng to see that her other did indeed ride her dragon without a saddle. But then again, so did Ava. It was just the way her mother did it so easily, while Ava herself sometimes struggled to stay on at certain angles of flight. Her mother even, when seeing her daughter was watching, smiled and stood up on her dragon's back, walking across the wings of her dragon and onto the back of a nearby Nadder. She did this a few times and on a few dragons, even at one point on Toothless's back, kissing her father with a silent laugh before getting back onto Aurora's back and sitting down. Ava could only hope one day she was as great a rider as her parents were.

She smiled down at Blizzard, "We need to practice flying more, don't we?"

Warmth spread through Hiccup at the simple kiss. When his wife moved away with all the grace of a bird in flight he watched her step across the wing and slip down onto her own dragon. As beautiful as any goddess. He did not miss the way Blizzard had watched with a sideways glance. Not with distain but curiosity. When caught in the act he flicked his ear flaps and shook his head as though something distasteful had touched his senses. Hiccup up wasn’t fooled.

A hot puff of air warmed the cold sky as Blizzard snorted his displeasure at his showoff parents and their riders. He was a great flyer- if only he could get Ava to not tilt like she was going to fall off every time he took a sharp turn.

Practice, yeah that was what they needed… She just needed to be a better rider. He’d been flying all his life- he didn’t need any practice.

Hiccup was looking at him again. Studying him without contempt, a considerate human that won over dragons with ease. Blizzard didn’t like it when those eyes were on him though. That green gaze shifted and his own father’s muscles coiled- suddenly the nightfury was rocketing into the sky and hitting them with the offset of wind. Feeling a challenge in the gesture Blizzard roared his intentions and then took off after the black dragon.

With his rider on his back Toothless took every sharp angle with ease- racing around the island, seeking obstacles in which to show off their flying. Under wooden platforms and through the barn of sleeping dragons. Up and up until the clouds were within reach and Hiccup looked back to see if his daughter had followed. In the distance he spotted Blizzard’s shine against the gray skies as the young dragon burst from the skylight of the barn. Blizzard spiraled up, throwing out his wings when he spotted them before flinging them back to launch himself forward.

Hiccup smiled and then Toothless picked up the pace again, leading them over tall spires of stone- then through. Try as he might Blizzard could not make the sharp turns his father could and after ramming one of the natural towers he bellowed with frustration, flicking his head and zipping back to open sky. A moment later the older dragon and rider appeared to idle in the air in front of them. “It’s okay.” Blizzard did not find comfort in this and jerked away. Hiccup’s lips quirked with amusement “do you want to know the trick?”

The kiss shared between her mother and father made Ava smile and she looked down at Blizzard in time to see him shake his head and huff. She laughed and patted his side. He was a dragon and so of course she couldn't expect him to be interested in the affections humans usually gave one another. So, she merely smiled and watched as her mother mounted Aurora once more, not even noticing her father looking at Blizzard and taking off before Blizzard took off after Toothless, causing Ava to yelp and cling to the dragon in surprise to keep from falling of when he suddenly shot out into the sky, going at very quick speeds.

She stayed as low as she could against Blizzard, an unsure look on her face. She had no idea which ways he was going to turn or anything of that sort. The only clue she got to which turns they would take was that they were following her father and so whatever turn he took, Blizzard would take it as well, but with jerkier or more jarred turns. Still, it was fun and even made Ava laugh a few times. If she could fly like this every day for the rest of her life, she would die a happy woman.

Hitting into one of those tall natural towers was not fun though. She saw they would hit just a moment before they did and she cried out in surprise, leaning down against him as tight as she could, getting his when some of the smaller rocks that came from it, though not big enough to hurt her. She blinked a moment, dazed from the impact with the wind knocked out of her for the moment as Blizzard zoomed back into the sky, her father and Toothless going to hover there in front of them.

Ava wasn't too worried about their little mistake. After all, neither of them got hurt at least and it was just something to learn from. Blizzard though, didn't seem too happy and refused to even acknowledge him, jerking away from his touch. Ava looked up at her father though and smiled brightly, "Yeah! That'd be great. It'd give something for me and Blizzard to practice on. Huh, boy?" She asked, smiling down at him fondly, petting his head.

“It’s MORE than just sensing your dragon’s intentions. When you are flying there will always be subtle shifts to hint at changes in flight.” Toothless dipped at the clouds- passing under the younger pair as Hiccup tipped back to keep an eye on them until they leveled out on the other side. “Alright, let me show you.” When Hiccup steered away this time the flight was at a much more reasonable rate. “Put your hands near his neck.” He called back to his daughter “when we turn…” Toothless angled his head and then body arching around in the sky, Blizzard did like wise. “See what I mean. Just like knowing when a deer is about to bolt or a panther is about to lunge. What you’re doing is trying to give Blizzard as much speed as you can which is good but you should focus on leaning with him instead. If you want to benefit his flight.”

He held up a hand to Blizzard with a soothing order of “stay”. Then off Toothless went, speeding across the sky in demonstration. Every angle of his body took was mirrored by his rider so they seemed less like two beings and instead a single well oiled machine. The nightfury circled back around to them and Hiccup locked the tailfin into place before rising up in a crouch on his dragon’s back. “If you do this you are less likely to fall.” With a smile he slipped off Toothless’ back and began to freefall. While Blizzard roared at the recklessness Toothless soon plunged after. A hundred feet down Hiccup snagged the saddle and they pulled up from the dive.

“If you don’t want a saddle Ava that’s fine. But while your learning at least allow me to make a strap for you to hold on if you need to. Our little stunt just spooked Blizzard.” Said dragon snorted and shook his head, grumbling to himself before perching a top one of the spires. Hiccup showed amusement but before he could say anymore a nadder swooped in on their session.

“Hiccup!” Astrid called before circling around him to minimize the volume of their conversation. “There is a man at our docks demanding to speak with you, accusing you of stealing his daughter.” She explained with distain.

Hiccup set his jaw, not wanting to believe the man would dare set foot on Berk after what he’d tried. The anger he felt was self implored- outrage for his daughter and whatever dragons were prisoner upon that island. He exhaled and patted Toothless as the dragon rumbled in response to his distress. “It’s okay” he murmured.

Ava listened to what her father had to say carefully, and did as he said without any argument, placing her hands near his neck and indeed there was certain signs she was beginning to notice after he said that. The way his body would move or turn. She watched as her father demonstrated, staying where she was with her dragon and could really see what he meant. The way her father leaned with his dragon, it was like they were one being. It was like he wasn't riding on a dragon, but riding really with his dragon. She hoped one day she could be that way as well once she and Blizzard got some practice in together. She smiled at her father when he came back, only to gasp in shock as he purposely fell from his dragons back, eyes wide with surprise and worry, only to sigh in relief when Toothless caught him again.

She nodded when he came back up, saying he wanted to make a strap, as well as commenting on how what they had done had spooked Blizzard. She grinned slightly, "It cared me too. I'm not used to seeing people dive so willingly off of a dragon's back." She patted Blizzard as he grumbled his disdain, laughing quietly, only to look up when the quick flapping of wings caught her ears, signalling another dragon was coming.

Castiel had been hanging back, allowing Hiccup some father daughter time with Ava, but when she saw Astrid coming at such a pace,s he knew this was going to be something important and flew a little closer, managing to pick up the words stealing and daughter. She frowned and could only guess what this was going to be about, especially from the angry look on her husband's face. She made eye contact with him and nodded to him, signing that she was going to take Ava home before she turned to the younger girl.

Ava seemed confused, and obviously hadn't heard what Astrid had told Hiccup over the winds and flapping of dragon wings. Her mother did her best to smile at her, signing for her to follow her back home and help fix lunch. Ava was curious as to what her father seemed so upset about, but her mother had managed to momentarily distract her and she nodded, slowly following her mother back down to the house.

There she helped her mother start on the stew, but whatever was going on right now kept coming to her mind. Why had Astrid come so frantically? And why did her father seemed so upset, angry even? After putting the last of the vegetables in the stew, she looked over to see her mother reading a book and distracted for the time being. Maybe while the stew was cooking she could go out and find her father to see what was going on. So, she quietly made her way tot eh door, so as no to disturb her mother, her mother not looking up until she heard the door to their home close.

Eyes wide, Castiel was quick to make i to the door, but by this time, Ava was gone out of sight. Giving a frustrated sigh, she began searching for her. never of them had heard where Hiccup had been going, meaning neither of them knew where he was. But Castiel could make the better guesses as she knew where everything was. And of course the first place she would go was the docks, where her husband was just approaching as well, the large man, who greatly resembled his father, standing there menacingly. It was just a few seconds after Castiel had arrived a the docks, that Ava came as well, seeming happy to have found her father, but when she saw Einar, her eyes widened and she slowly took a few steps back, a worried and unsure look on her face, one hand on Blizzard as if ready to bolt if the man came after her.

Hiccup didn’t immediately draw his sword upon approaching the docks though it would have been overkill anyhow with a nightfury at his side. The man spoke with a voice that boomed over the sound of ice breaking in the sea and waves smacking against the coast: “Leave your beast at the shore.” The authority that shone through his tone possessed a confidence that made no sense. Toothless had the intelligence to understand but in defiance intended to continue down the docks toward the intruder- Hiccup stopped him with a hand at his snout and they were both old enough to know this was the end of the discussion. Hiccup continued across the boards without his dragon, who did not pace as he would have in younger years but fixed the man with a gaze of such intensity it was amazing that he didn’t immediately burst into flames.

“Alright. You want to talk about this?” Hiccup stated sternly, gaze steely before the conversation could go any further his wave arrived one the scene. The man cast her a leering smile and a small nod in greeting that seemed anything but respectful. It wasn’t hard for Hiccup to see Drago in Einar- try as he might not to. He remembered only how that man had hurt Castiel at a younger age, stealing away her voice forever.

Things went downhill from there when his daughter arrived. He’d hope she’d be kept busy at the house but she was too much like him at that age. “If it isn’t my double crossing excuse of a daughter. Taking all the kindness I’ve shown you and throwing it back in my face.” He made a back handed tossing gesture of his hand, expressing his disgust. “I’ve warned you of the dangers, of the trickery and yet here you are under the spell of mere swine.”

Gas crackled in Blizzard throat and he snarled- exposing two rows of short vicious teeth as he hunched his body and spread his wings. The man laughed as though these were a child antics and approached the pair with dangerous eyes, reflecting a soul dark enough to wish harm upon many. To rip away all that was important to get what he desired most. In response Blizzard hunched up, still all fangs and claws but his tail curled around Ava and his body bent to shield her.

The man stopped as flames flicked across his path and the sword came back up to point towards his throat. “I will not tolerate a step more towards my daughter.”

“Yes you will.” Einar challenged and Hiccup held his composure and strong stance. “Should you refuse to hand over your daughter you will have skrill on yours hand. Many, skrill.”

Ava looked at Einar from behind it all, listening to him essentially insulting her and saying she was being tricked by these people. But it was far from that in truth. She had not been tricked or harmed by them. In fact it was the exact opposite. They had opened her eyes to the truth and had shown their love for her. When she saw him taking a fw steps toward her, she pressed herself close against Blizzard as the dragon curled his tail around her and bent over her in a protective manner and in this time, her father had stopped Einar from stepping forward, a flamed sword at his throat and even her mother had stepped in front of Blizzard in a protective manner, Aurora at her side, the dragoness growling and snapping in warning.

She glared at him, and was about to tell him to leave, that she had no desire to go home with him to that horrible island again, but her father beat her to it, telling Einar he wouldn't be taking another step toward her. But Einar obviously wasn't going to go for that and instead, sent out his threat. Skrills. Those beasts would tear this place apart and hurt if not kill many people. If this had been anyone else, Ava might have said they were bluffing about having so many of the dragons, but she had seen first hand the way this man worked and just how many dragons he had on hand and Skrill were no exceptions.

Ava felt like she was in such a bind at this moment ,unsure what to do. Of course, it would be her choice in who she went with, and should she refuse to go back with this evil man, her whole village would be destroyed. Her father seemed ready to refuse anyway but before he could, she stepped up, looking at the man, holding up a hand as if to silence Einar's call for the skrill, "Wait. Don't call the Skrill. I'll go with you. Just......don't do anything to Berk or the people here."

“Ava.” Hiccup’s voice was sharp- unwilling to stand down despite his daughter’s own desire to sacrifice herself to this villain. Regardless of what he would have said or done Blizzard moved first. The man had a smile so smug at to make Hiccup feel sick with dread and to make that same feeling transform within Blizzard until it was hot as any fire. The dragon sprung as does a coiled snake, tackling the man. The two tumbled and Blizzard reared up with gas surging up in his throat. Einar struck, a blow to neck choked the shot off prematurely still with his body the flash of a wicked looking knife caught Blizzard near the collar bone.

Toothless sprung from the far end of the dock flinging Einar aside with a flick of his wing. Garbage to the night fury. The man pulled himself up- face twisting with a scowl. “You’ve sealed your fate.” Overcome by outrage he twisted away to stalk towards his boat but he paused before boarding. “You have until twilight to bring her to me. I will be waiting at the furthers point of your pitiful Berk.” He spat.
