When the merman had placed his webbed hand parallel to hers on the glass, Gwen smiled at him brightly. She heard Tanikazi's comment and nodded. "Yes, you're right but it's fantastic. It's as though everything I had ever imagined in my wildest dreams is her, and I found it on my first field case," Gwen said with excitement. She knew that everything she had done up to that point was impulsive and unprofessional but to her, whatever punishment or consequence the universe had in store for her, she would be more than willing to take. This moment was something she could never had imagined in her wildest dreams, and she had a very wild imagination.

Gwen then turned to the merman, who seemed to be quite confused, or was at least lost in thought. He seemed to be staring out into the hall but when Gwen turned to look, there didn't seem to be anything there at that moment. So she returned her gaze to the water creature and held a hand on her chest. "Gwen," she said slowly, pointing to herself. "I am Gwen. You?" she asked, now pointing to the merman. She wasn't sure if he would understand her but there was no harm in giving it a shot.

"I i'm not sure he knows english" Tanikazi said to Gwen. it was surprising that Tanikazi could understand whatever humans say and speak there language But tanikazi was not sure some random merman understanded english. after all we're in a gigantic Pyramid thingy that contains pretty much every Alien known to man kind "but heck we're in a gigantic Pyramid prison. god knows what we might find"

"I don't know.... I think you just need to take the chains... then I will do what you ask of me, until you chose to leave my chains... I think I might even be able to make it a bit less conspicuas." The chains slowly fade and now its just black and silver leather cuffs and a black and silver leather collar.

James left the room in which the alien had been in and once again began walking he was surprised that the alien did not want to be set free and already knew how to get out this had been surprised at the amount of creatures that should not exist he wouldn't be surprised if a wookie was in the next room he decided to go into.

"oh, thank you thank you thank you! I just can't go on like this..." Vul began to concentrate and the pair of anklets, which were always uncomfortable, sprang up and jump onto Shea's arms becomeing the cuffs of the master. "Y-you wont regret this... Thank you!" Suddenly reinvigorated Vul jumped up and hugged her.

Since nothing seemed to be coming from the hallway after all, Runo turned his attention back to the girl and...oh, there was another figure kind of similar next her now. But this one had fuzzy ears and a tail, like a woodland creature he had heard of. Having never seen one before, though, he was very curious about this one that seemed so similar to the human. He looked closely at it for a minute before turning back to the girl. She seemed to be speaking to him now, though he noticed that she was speaking differently than she had been a moment before. Gwen? So that's her name. It's very...human, I guess? Probably because of the language, though.

The merman cocked an eyebrow at Tanikazi's comment. Well, it wasn't his common language, so maybe the furred one had a point. Still, that just made things more fun for introductions. He might enjoy this. Placing a hand on his chest, Runo looked straight at the girl and opened his mouth, releasing a string of dolphin-like clicks and whistles. He waited for a moment, hoping to see her reaction before smiling. "I think in your language, though, 'Runo' would be a close enough translation."

WEB chuckles as he watched the scientist walk away ". The silly human was confused why he didnt want out. He would get out when he was sure it was safe to do so. While he had many powers he was not physical strong. He needed to know if there was anything his powers wouldn't work on.

Tanikazi felt a bit weird at the fact that this Runo person knew english somehow. Tanikazi didn't really trust him, heck he didn't exactly trust anyone besides Gwen. so Tanikazi just decided to say "well its uh nice to meet you" in a surprised voice. *Maybe everyone has voice translators or some crap. I don't know this place is weird*

At the merman's first attempt to communicate, all she heard were clicks and whistles, much like a dolphin's. She was amused but was also a little disappointed, thinking that there would be a lot of miscommunication. Suddenly, she heard a sentence come out of his mouth which sounded much more comprehensible. Gwen grinned and gave him a thumbs up. "Awesome! It's a pleasure to meet you Runo," she said cheerfully.

Tanikazi beside her had also responded to the merman but she could hear the doubt in his voice. "Yeah, I agree. How did you all end up here anyway?" Gwen asked, directing the question to both Tanikazi and Runo.

Gwen hadn't forgotten the real reason why she was there and knew that she was going to have to take DNA samples soon but it wasn't exactly fair for her to go around poking needles into strange creatures without their permission. She just felt that it would be a better idea to gain their trust first. Who knows, maybe they would all be able to figure out the mystery of the pyramid together. It was then that Gwen wondered what the other humans were up to.

Runo stared at Tanikazi as he spoke, and continued to do so for a good few seconds after he was done.
"...robots? What... are those?" He tilted his head to the side again in confusion. "And who are you? You never said."

He looked over to Gwen again, still confused. "I don't really know how I got here. One moment, I was getting ready to go back to the pod, and the next... wait, if I'm here--!!" The merman looked panicked and started searching the area he could still see from the tank. Where was he? Pulling himself up to the top of the tank where there was some air, he started letting out a series of distressed sounds and clicks as he looked around. "He's gone! Where did he go? Did he get caught?"

Roxy stood by the the entrance to the pyramid bored. Part of her thought they could have put anyone on this job. So far it hadnt been all that exciting or challeging. But she knew that could change at any minute. Right now the creatures inside the pyramid were exploring it and each other. Eventually they would tire of that. They had to be curious about the world outside. "System lock down engaged." The computer announced closing the door behind her.
