Ok, so I added Davlamin to the character sheets. Haven't decided how to work his magic as putting out a whole list of spells seems like a lot. Seeing as no one else has anything like it I feel like the character could do too much with how D&D spells work.

@Davlamin What you have looks fine. It's hard to help you with your magic without knowing any of the spells you want to use. I'd say post them so that we can help you tweak what needs to be tweaked. I'd say the colsest thing I have to DnD magic is my character Skrall, who uses artifact-based magic. Maybe you could take a look at him.

D&D spells are iffy, some are potent, others meh. I agree with Tak, show us what potential spells you want to use. Remember magic needs to be tweaked to fit this format, and saving throws are not really applicable.

Well, you kinda have to elaborate further on what your char could do for each, especially for the mastery over water. What I got from those is still vague impression of related Final Fantasy spells and Avatar's Water benders.

@Davlamin Koka is right. Your spells are really short on just what you can do exactly. The way they are written, you pretty much can pull something out of your arse to save your character in a tight situation.

@Davlamin I agree with the others. Just saying "can use water magic" is too vague. In terms of raw power, this could mean anything from Squirtle's watergun attack, to literally picking up the ocean and dumping it on somebody. Consider the following: How much water can he manipulate at once? What degree of precision does he have with the water? Can he create water, or must he manipulate existing water? What physical forms does his water magic take? Blobby balls of water? Pressurized beams? Crushing waves? What specific techniques can your character use with this magic. To give you an example of what "specific techniques" look like, here is what my character Shinko can do with fire:

Affinity for Fire - Shinko was born with an abnormally high affinity for fire magic. He is impervious to burns, can withstand extremely high temperatures, and can use his magic to warm his body in cold climates. He has also learned a variety of fire magic techniques:

Fire Plume - A rudimentary elemental attack. Shinko summons a ball of fire the size of a basketball that he can launch at any given target.

Fire Whips - By flicking his tails, Shinko can create thin ribbons of fire which he can either leave connected to the tips of his tails and use as whips (limited to 6 ft) or he can release them and use them as light projectiles. Less powerful than a fire plume, but more precise.

Ember Enhancement - Shinko can use his magic to enhance his physical strikes with fire. The result is a trail of embers behind each strike. Hits deal added fire damage, blocked attacks send a small plume of embers that retains the momentum of the initial strike, and dodged attacks leave a streak of embers about their trajectory.

Cauterize - If severe bleeding becomes a problem, Shinko can press his hand against the wound and, overriding his natural affinity, burn it shut. Naturally, this is extremely painful and causes severe tissue damage in the process, but it can thwart the immediate danger of blood loss.

Afterburner - By flicking all three tails in a sharp downward motion, Shinko can create a blast of fire with enough propulsive force to lift him of the ground. This can be used as a means of enhancing a jump, as a situational attack, or to give him a "double-jump" mid-air.

Form of Flame - Shinko can make his tails burst into flames at will. While in this state, his tails lose all physical substance. Once the flames are extinguished, by Shinko's will or otherwise, his tails return to their original state.

Hellfox Blitz - Shinko can summon a fox made of fire. The firefox moves according to Shinko's will, and has the strength and speed of an average fox. The firefox has physical substance to it, meaning it's claws and fangs can cut as well as burn, but also that it is susceptible to physical attacks. Shinko can summon multiple foxes at once, but the strain on his mind and body for maintaining them increases exponentially beyond the first.

We appreciate it.

Lisa and the baby moved about five hours west, so I'm going to be with them. Once we get properly settled, hopefully I'll be able to come back. I should still be able to log on to run things, more or less though.

@Davlamin You have now made it perfectly clear what your character is capable of, which is good. All criticism from here on is just for refinement or suggestions. Based on what I've seen of the characters in this arena so far, your character's magic puts him at the higher end of power mainly because of the strength, speed, and defensive buffs which can be stacked on top of one another. This is not a bad thing, but you may have a little difficulty finding an opponent who can deal with all of those resources. Ten minutes is an arbitrary limitation because the battles in the arena generally only take place over the course of a couple of minutes, so they may as well be indefinite. Lastly, and this is just a flavor-based suggestion, the spells seem to be all over the place thematically. Many characters either have a motif of similar abilities, or justify diverse abilities with some kind of common source. "He studies magic" is kind of vague for justifying physical buffs, elemental attacks, and magical wards. My suggestion would be tying each spell into your character's backstory, briefly justifying why he would know it. As your character is, though, it looks ready for combat.
