Like I state before, the rest of the world is pretty much fucked over and the UK is in a similiar spot.
However, you could have someone who is trying to be as British as they possibly can and either think's they're working for the Crown or is just trying to be straight up Britten. Something like that.
Would that be acceptable?

The main focus of the RP is supposed to be in America but I'll admit that I didn't know Britian had subjects in those areas, I thought they were largely independant now a days >.<"

They are, but still party to the British Not-Empire. But with the collapse of present nation-state they'd probably achieve defacto independence.

The British East Indies was also originally administered from Jamaica, as a fun aside.

EDIT - as another fun aside the Jews were first to Jamaica, Christopher Columbus settled after and the Jews - recently kicked out of Iberia - claimed to be Portugese. When the British took control in the 17th century they advocated building an official pirate outpost on the island to help defend them from the Spanish. And so Port Royal was born.

Uh... I can come up with a fun aside.

...

Erich Hartmann, Germany's (and the world's) top ace in history, once got drunk and stole Hitler's hat.

And that's the only fun historical fact I can ever pull up.

Presently a majority (60%) of Jamaicans are seriously reconsidering their 1960's independence and wouldn't be opposed to reuniting with the UK.

Not much use in the present environment if they can't even cross the Atlantic.

I don't think the point should be they would try to do anything in America, just that they exist as the British avenue and would have their own intentions potentially separate of America. It's after all in a different political sphere than the US and not even geographically North America. If trying to pursue a claim that because Jamaica was the top of the British colonies in the Caribbean it might at the most make them more relevant to Central America and Venezuela than the US (even if Belize wasn't party to the mid-20th century West Indies Federation).

If they were relevant then I can see it be through sugar production. Being small and political and economically irrelevant otherwise it's an easy to pass to claim no one ever nuked you; you'd still suffer the effects of total societal collapse with no one producing the food imported to the islands and they having to return to self-sustaining agriculture which may not feed everyone.

Expect a North Carolina-based military dictatorship headed by two completely insane people. I've never done anything like that before.

I was going to try to do something with South Carolina. Carolina Cold War?

The current time is around the mid 2020s more or less. No one actually knows the set date since... well... there is no unified authority on it and some places have already changed dates around or completely reset the date back to 0.

EDIT: I might actually push the date a forward so that society has been more established and let people have more freedom in designing their nation as not be completely stuck in the post-apoc wasteland tribal sort of period. Have some actual working tech maybe.

Let me know if you do decide to do that, since the longer since the world "ended" the more creative freedom is offered to everyone in creating unique nations and old world cults. Such as the deification of the George Washington and the founding fathers, or other stuff like that.

I'm thinking of having it be more or less 50 years since the fall of the US, about one full generation if people are okay with that.
Funny you should mention the deification of the George Washington and the founding fathers, I'm actually using a religion called "Americanism" (or something like that) which worships the founders as gods

Also, more for @All, currently reserved states are:
Texas
PA
Both Carolinas
Michigan

Consider those entire states's lands to be unclaimable unless people claim land outside/different from current state borders, which you are more than welcome to do. And also make new nations not based in a single state as well! ^^

If I end up playing, I'm thinking of snagging some territory in Mexico, or maybe in Panama. Those are both fairly out of the way, yet could get involved in different ways. (I.E. a Mexico concerned with restoring the old country may try invading California/Texas, and Panama could try and become a proper merchant state of the new era.)

EDIT: Alternatively, I'm kind of relishing the idea of creating a Pueblo state, too... EDIT 2: Or someone that wants to reform the Comancheria, putting them in direct conflict with Texas. Or some Quebec nationalists that finally get to see their crazy dream realized. ...Hmmm.
