This actually has been on my mind for a while, but I haven't gotten off my lazy butt to make this till now.

Now before you ask me, "Why did you post this in spam?", it's cause this isn't about the problems in the world.

This is just for explanations behind our usernames here in the guild. Like for example,

I'm a fan of the damaku series Touhou, and my favorite character of the series is Flandre Scarlet. So, her being a secret in the scarlet devil mansion,and the 'U.N Owen' in the title of her theme meaning unknown. That gave me the Idea for 'UnknownScarlet'. And the 4 at the end? It was supposed to be 495 but I didn't have any room left, so I stuck with 4.

My inner monologue when I realized I needed a name for this forum:

"Should I use my real name? Nah, that's way too homey. Uhh, wow, I don't really want to spend a half hour thinking of a name for a silly web forum. I go by break sometimes, but that's becoming kind of generic. This was a lot easier when my mother gave me my name. I can name a dog but what do I name myself? Well, BrokenPromise? It's a little long, but it's not too pretentious. Well, I could probably think of a better one, but it doesn't really matter. I'm BrokenPromise I guess..."

I had this steampunk phase really, my first username for anything was Steamster48, then it went on to gearninja28 when I got an Xbox 360. And then when I got older, I realized that I wanted something a bit more mature. So after some mulling I was stilly trying to do something steampunkish (at this point it was just to keep theme) and then my mind wandered on to some random thing I saw about how Big Ben's ringing can be heard for miles away or something stupid and thus ClocktowerEchos. The professional asian bit is something of a joke from real life that I just tact on for shits and giggles and because it feeds my inner asian whose way too proud of their heritage

The misspelling of Echos is totally on purpose just to fuck with people and totally not because I don't know how to English gooder. Me English perfect much yes.

It's Russian for Mermaid. Seriously, but I liked the sound of it, so I stuck with it. It's alot better than my edgelord days when I went by names like Destroyer4292, Monsterman420, Agnostic_Anarchist, and so on and so forth.

It was my Runescape user name when I was a teenager.

I joined once, lost the username, and forgot about it for a while. Then when I joined again I was thinking "Everyone is like 'Bloodslayer' and 'Killknight' or whatever, so I'll be the fucking VillageIdiot"

Dropping an L and adding an X came about because "Villageidiot" and "Vilageidiot" were already taken. Then I played Runescape for a couple of years and got used to using it as an internet name, so it's been my go-to for forums and video games even since.

@Rusalka "Agnostic_Anarchist" is a half step above "Atheistic_Anarchist".

I think that this is something a lot of people wished they could do because jesus fuck I know I was supreme shadow edgelord of eternal darkness and perpetual pain and suffering at one point even if I never had it in my online names. Now I'm just a mildly cynical weeb and but a humble meme farmer tending to a crops of hopefully spicy memes.

I'ma just say, puberty was an interesting time for me mentally @.@

It's from a long-standing character I've had in my main story project, basically since its conception. It's actually his alias instead of his real name (though this decision only got settled on later down the line -- was always a possibility though). I've been known by this username on damn near everything, though there's a couple of exceptions.

As for the actual choice of name itself, that's a much longer story...

On the Oldguild I was Lucian Heart. It's been my internet handle for like, ever now. Newguild let me drop the last name, so I did, because it sounds a bit less edgy.

Literally yoinked it from someone else about five or six years ago. Saw someone with the name in a videogame, and I was just like "Yeah, that's clever and funny, I'm using that."

It's been my username of choice since at least 9th grade.

Needed a nifty "new" name, due to my old one having my irl name in it. So, went to a baby name site, was like "hm, I don't know anyone who's name starts with a V!" Picked the most obscure name and added an N at the end.
