Amelia Averyonna

@PlatinumSkink

Amelia followed Laurinda and her pokemon deeper into the woods, keeping an eye on her surroundings nervously. When they reached the Wilted Woods, the feeling of something otherworldly, but not being a Ghost-type, definitely assailed her but she stayed calm and continued one with Laurinda. At the sight of all the injured pokemon, she moved over to one of the closest one, a Bedrill, and kneeled next to it, gently placing a hand on a part of it's head that wasn't burned.
"You poor things. I wish I had something to give to help you feel better." She said to it, giving it gently pet before getting up. She walked over to several other pokemon, giving them some attention and words of encouragement before heading over to where the Delphox sat. She watched the vulpine pokemon for a bit before turning to Chandelure and Trevenant. "Will either of you two be willing to join me? A little extra protection never hurts right? And my search might lead me..." She looked over in the direction she felt the dangerous presence coming from. "...in that direction."

Wether one, both, or neither of the more powerful pokemon joined her, Amelia set off into the woods, looking for Ghost-types, praying she would come across some Phantumps. Her real goal was going to be much harder though. Her mentor had taught her about the rare pokemon known as Shiny Pokémon, varieties that were colored differently. He had even found and showed her pictures of them and out of all the ones she had seen, Phantump and Trevenant were among her favorite Shinies. So, she was hoping to find at least one, though she knew her chances were slim to none, but slightly better if she could find a large group of pokemon. While she searched for pokemon, she also kept an eye out for Berries she could give the injured pokemon to help them feel a little better.

As she walked through the woods, she tried her best to avoid the other presence, but a part of her, the more curious part, was drawn to it and she was unconsciously moving closer, like a Venomoth to a flame.

Dawkin Trustram

@PlatinumSkink

Dawkin turned to look at the two that had followed him, honestly he'd had a vague feeling that they might also have escape ropes, if it weren't for the fact that two other people were at the cave entrance he would've started running as soon as he landed to make sure he got away. As it was... it seemed there was no need. Dawkin was prepared to turn heel in case the two people he'd just met proved to not be as intimidating as he hoped, but it was just the opposite. Piecing together the rapid series of events it seemed the two people he met where from team virtue with the goal of taking down team amethyst grunts: and were apparently able to do so given the full fledged retreat of the two that had been so recently chasing him. Dawkin looked at the two potions he had and shook his head in bemusement. Dawkin could follow them into the cave to try to help make sure the two were brought to justice, but honestly it was likely he couldn't do very much to aid them. Besides, he didn't want to get any more caught up with the two teams than he'd already been. It was probably best to head back through the forest, make a stop at town to heal up his Pokémon (saving the potions for another emergency) and perhaps get a repel and an escape rope or two, then be on his way along the other path. Nodding affirmatively to himself Dawkin headed back towards the Infested Woods.

Heh. Yvonne was adorable. That was the only thing Claire could think of as she was obviously a bit uncomfortable with her closeness. Well, that was fine. Just a good way of messing with her. If they were headed in the same direction, it'd be hilarious to mess with her just a tiny bit. She picked Ralia up off her shoulder, carrying the small pokemon in her arms as she walked, listening to Yvonne's and Laurinda's exchange.

OOh, the plot thickens.

It seemed that they didn't wish to travel in the same general direction. Pfft, that was boring. How was she supposed to mess with her then. Besides, Redcoast city? She didn't know much about Isson, to be honest. Just had looked at maps enough times to know the general layout. Redcoast was in the exact opposite direction.

Hum.

Before she could say anything, Ralia stood up in Claire's arms and gave a small cry of seeming disappointment. Claire simply smirked, chuckling a bit. Seemed like they were thinkin' the same thing. See, Ralia, this is why you were awesome and her best pokemon.

"Aw, and here I thought you enjoyed my company. You even made Ralia sad." Claire pouted at Yvonne before giving her a friendly jab in the side with her elbow. Now, she may have had her sights set on Wet Caverns and Lakewatch city...but this was a pretty good chance to get far ahead of the other trainers. Now, who would she be to deny such a fateful happening? She'd be an idiot that's what, and she and her cute butt were not idiots.

"Saaay...could this friend of yours have a ride for two, Laurinda?" Claire asked. "Redcoast city is a pretty far distance away and It'd be fun to get a good lead on all the other trainers that started out, heh. Don't worry, I got money and can take care of myself. Or you know, just ask my dad for a small loan." She snickered before adding. "Actually, he'd probably send his hawlucha to RKO' me for even asking about borrowing money. But uh, yeah, seat for two?"

Nooot that it particularly mattered. She wanted to go, so she'd go.

Bulbasaur had his attention on Nincada, and saw how he was going to attempt to attack from the side. The green Pokémon was prepared for this and, being a bit faster, could turn to face Nincada and jump back a little, striking forth at the bug-type with a Vine Whip even as Nincada came forth and bit into Bulbasaur with his Leech Life. Strangely, it has felt like Bulbasaur’s whip-strikes has been harder and faster as Bulbasaur’s gotten more damaged. Nincada definitely couldn’t hold on much longer.

Bulbasaur held forth, pressing back when Nincada grabbed on, seemingly intent on making it a wrestling match with Bulbasaur’s Vine Whips intent on tipping the favour really soon. However, it didn’t appear that Bulbasaur had wagered on this being a distraction.

Martin’s Pokéball hit Bulbasaur’s bulb. Bulbasaur blinked minutely in surprise before being streamed into the Pokéball which bounced back onto the floor of the drain. The Pokéball shook, backwards and forwards fairly violently, implying that Bulbasaur wasn’t about to hand himself over so easily. Little did Martin know that the odds were not actually in his favour this time, for Bulbasaurs were hard and rare Pokémon to catch.

The ball suddenly jumped up into the air, from some form of motion of the Pokémon inside it, rising in the air considerably. It hovered briefly in the air, gravity counter-acting its ascent, before it fell harshly at the ground below. The impact of the ball hitting the ground below echoed past Martin as the ball hit with significant force, and…!

@Joshua Tamashii - Night

The Beedrill lay still, resting, as Amelia kneeled beside it and petted it. Delphox quite decidedly looked away as the young girl did her rounds, looking a bit like she was feeling awkward as these were the Pokémon she had fried, sooo…

Still. Eventually, Amelia’s journey took her to Trevenant and Chandelure, the elder tree and the chandelier turning to look at her. First they seemed pretty appreciative, more than happy to protect her, Trevenant nodding a bit and Chandelure making happy little sounds (‘Chan-del~!’), but that changed when she mentioned she was going in that direction.

Chandelure blinked, staring at her, while Trevenant straightened himself giving her a hard look. The floating chandelier then quickly shook its head negatively, the candle-arms unable to keep up so they soon waved back and forth as well out-of-sync with the main body. (‘Chan-chan-chan…!’) … Seemed like that was not entirely agreed upon by the two ghosts.

‘… You’re NOT heading to that.’ Laurinda announced, stepping close and stopping, her tone and expression strict. ‘I let you in this deep because I felt something strange about you. However, that doesn’t change the fact you’re an inexperienced child in one of the most dangerous woods of Isson. Until you’ve caught what you’re looking for and left, I and my Pokémon will be babysitting you.’ Her gaze became a bit more harsh. ‘And I do not want to hear of you even accidentally ending up closer to THAT than you have to be.’

… Seemed like, if Amelia wanted to get to that, she’d have to do it without Laurinda, somehow. And Laurinda seemed pretty intent on watching her like a hawk on prowl.

Regardless, Amelia could still begin her search, though Laurinda was right behind her along with both Trevenant and Chandelure, leaving Delphox behind with the injured bugs.

Now, Wilted Woods was a TERRIBLE place to look for berries in. All plants that were complicated enough to carry berries were dead, drained, leaving only weeds and parasitic forms of vegetation clutching the dead trees. Amelia wouldn’t have any luck in that regard.

However, when it came to finding Pokémon… it would almost be more accurate to say the ghosts found her.

‘Hey!’ A little voice of a male child called.
‘This way!’ Another, female-sounding child’s voice called, directing towards deeper into the woods. Now, one could be tricked by this, if Amelia couldn’t directly tell where the voices came from, and the Pokédex wasn’t fooled either.

Pokédex Entry #708 – Phantump, the Stump Pokémon. Said to be stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died lost in forests. Found mainly in lonely forests where humans don’t tread, they can lead humans astray with their eerie cries that imitate a human child’s. The leaves on its head are said to have healing properties.

In addition, Amelia’s search for numbers led to that she found clouds of shining pumpkins running across the floor of the woods, varying sizes of them gazing around as they moved on fairly kindly as they transported the souls inside.

Pokédex Entry #710 – Pumpkaboo, the Pumpkin Pokémon. A pumpkin body inhabited by spirits trapped in this world. It is said to carry such wandering spirits to where they belong so they can move on. They turn restless at night. They comes in many varying sizes, from 7 lbs to over 30.

‘The Phantumps and the Pumpkaboos are all relatively peaceful.’ Laurinda commented. ‘You’re unlikely to get problems from them, unless you’re a fool. The REAL problem is…’

There was a slam from a bit further away, a tree that had stomped down a huge root, moving to turn around to gaze at them. … Well, a pretty small tree, but regardless, that was definitely one of many wild Trevenants of the woods posing as regular trees. Now, Amelia could sense exactly which was that. In case she checked again with her Pokédex…

Pokédex Entry #709 – Trevenant, the Elder Tree Pokémon. Using its roots to connect to the trees around it, a Trevenant can manipulate trees at will. They’re known to protect the creatures inside the forests where they dwell, and trap those who’d do harm upon the forest.

‘The Trevenants will protect the weaker Pokémon of the Wilted Woods from those who’d attack them.’ Laurinda said with some distaste. ‘Anyone who wants to catch the smaller creatures will have to contend with them. In addition…’

As if to punctuate that statement, a song suddenly reached their ears. Sounds coursing in between the trees, eerie tunes causing hairs to rise and a feeling of coldness spreading through one’s body, as if touched by death. It was as if the song itself wanted to part spirit from body among the living. The source of this was the spirits hanging around here and there within the Wilted Woods, announcing their ill will.

Pokédex Entry #711 – Gourgeist, the Pumpkin Pokémon. It is a malevolent Pokémon that catches prey with its hair-like arms and sings joyfully as it causes pain to its victims. Under new moons, they take to wandering city streets while singing in eerie voices. Anyone who hears their song is cursed. They come in varying sizes, from 20 lbs to over 80.

‘… The Gourgeists will attack regardless, eventually.’ Laurinda filled in, gazing off towards them. ‘Their curse isn’t that much to worry about. Stay calm, and you’ll find yourself quite alive by the end of it, regardless of their curse.’ The woman calmly gazed around. There were quite a few Gourgeists out there, circling on the horizon… ‘… There’s more than usual. Are you drawing them, somehow?’ Laurinda inquired, but then just sighed.

‘Regardless. Do you still want to try your luck securing a ghost-Pokémon from the most treacherous areas of these woods?’

Amelia now had to decide what she intended on doing. Also, no shinies yet, just an update on the Pokémon state of these woods.

Simply ignoring the two teams chasing each other into the Wet Caverns turned out to be a working strategy, as Dawkin could peacefully wander back into Outer Infested Woods.

Back here, yupp. And now, notably, he could see a few he recognized. Lucian’s currently over there, having been letting his new Venipede train. Claire’s coming out of deeper into the woods, accompanied by Laurinda, her Delphox and an unknown girl. They’re talking about something. They’re fairly far away and could be ignored, but he could also say hi if he wanted to.

Connected areas:
Route 2. Turn right and walk a few steps. Though, head through more of Infested Woods and less Route 2 will need to be travelled to get to Pureplain City.
Wet Caverns. Right behind you.

@Rune_Alchemist

Yvonne blinked in surprise at Claire’s words, looking over at her and Ralia, who she had apparently made sad. ‘… Huh?’ It hadn’t entirely clicked with her what Claire was on about as she was jabbed in the shoulder and looked as startled about that as she swayed a bit back. However, then Claire asked that question to Laurinda, and Yvonne’s gaze focused. Laurinda gave the two of them a stare.

‘The idea behind calling my friend was to get a lost girl home, not to act as your personal taxi. If you want to go to Redcoast City, it’s a lot closer than Justroad and you could as well walk there. Freecape Ferrymen don’t come cheap, you know.’ She commented, staring.

Then, Yvonne chuckled, having turned an amused smile onto her lips.

‘… You want to follow me directly to the start of a Coordinator’s journey, eh? … I’ll allow it! Laurinda, I’LL be paying! Please call your Ferryman! … And give me his number!’ Yvonne announced, pointing towards Laurinda while giving commands. Laurinda gave the two hopeful girls another stare, looking defeated, then sighed.

‘Right. Sure. If you can afford it. I suppose the Ferrymen would appreciate another wealthy customer anyways. But don’t use them for everything, Pokémon journeys are supposed to be done on foot and by the power of your own and your Pokémon’s efforts, not someone else’s.’ So the traditional Pokémon Trainer said as she fished out her phone. And, by now, they were heading into the light of the Outer Infested Woods, back into the forest of Volbeats flying about.

Here there were two Claire could potentially recognize. Lucian’s currently over there, having been letting his new Venipede train. Dawkin’s wandering into the woods from the direction of Wet Caverns. Both too far away to talk to directly from here, but Claire could recognize them if she wants to. Even though it could be figured that Claire’s likely going to not stray too far from Yvonne and Laurinda, here’s the options menu just because it contains the “Familiar Faces” section. And it does have “Heal at the hut”.

Connected areas:
Route 2. Close, can easily get there without complication.
Wet Caverns. Should also not be much of a challenge.

While Venipede was training, Lucian may notice two people he recognized. Dawkin’s wandering into the woods from the direction of Wet Caverns. Claire’s coming out of deeper into the woods, accompanied by an adult woman in robes, a bipedal fire-fox Pokémon and an unknown girl. In case he felt like reacting to any of that, that was possible.

Amelia frowned at Laurinda but didn't object before setting out to continue her hunt for a, hopefully shiny, Phantump. She took her time searching the forest, feeling a bit upset that there were no berries to be found, but at the same time, not all that surprised. She would be surprised if she found a single object that she could use in these woods. As she continued her search, she looked back at her babysitters every now and then to see how close they were sticking to her. She was curious as to what the presence could be, especially to scare someone with powerful pokemon. For now though, she would let it go. When she got stronger, she would come back and find out herself.

For now though, she turned her attention to all the Ghost-types that were surrounding them. The voices didn't seem to bug her, nor did the song of the Gourgeist that passed by, though she made it a point to scan both it and the passing Pumpkaboo and Phantump for good measure. When she heard Laurinda's comment on how they seemed to be gathering towards her, she let out a soft sigh before turning to face the older trainer.
"To be honest, they probably are drawn to be, just like all my friends back home. I... I lied to you earlier. I didn't hear that there were Ghost-type pokemon in here from another trainer. I sensed them, all the way from the safest part of the forest." she said. "I've been able to sense the presence of Ghosts for as long as I can remember. I played with them a lot back home as well. Top that off with the fact that I don't have the best health and I would see how they would be attracted to me as much as I'm attracted to them. I just want to be friends with them. Same way that they have always been friendly towards me.

I know you probably won't believe me but it is the truth
."

Having said her piece, she looked around before heading over to a rather well hidden Trevenant, not the one that had moved before, looking up at it.
"Excuse me. Can I speak with you?" She asked it without the slightest sign of fear.

The fight went on, with good tactics and rolling the dice for that extra push to winning. Bulbasaur looked to be gaining power as it was coming to a close, Nincada being on his last legs. The two wrestled, the odds clear that he was going to lose unless the next Pokeball worked. It manged to leave Martin holding his breath, considering what to do if it failed. With a click, his heart stopped for a second, followed by pumping his arms in celebration. Nincada was weak, and only managed a single short jump to add to the moment. Martin ended up yelling out, caught in the moment, "Alright, I caught a Bulbasaur! I'm gonna give a good name for a tough guy. That can wait till I tell you in person later." He pulled out Nincada's ball and looked down at his champion, "Good job, Nincada. Take a rest, you earned it. I'm gonna find a place to heal you up and then we can get right back into this." With a flash of red light, Nincada was returned, leaving just Martin standing there.

First step was trying to find that Pokeball he threw earlier, if it was even still in the area. Next step was getting out of this drain and finding a place to heal up. Pureplain City probably was the best place to go, seeing as he didn't spot any on this route. He strolled back along the drain, looking for a way back out of here. He really wanted to figure out why the water level was low still, so he still had plans of going back.

Action: Specify: Go back to Pureplain City and heal his Pokemon up. While there, go shopping for needed supplies.

Laurinda seemed against the idea of her hitching a ride with her friend. Claire couldn't help but to give the older woman her best whine and a hurt pout. Thankfully, Yvonne was immediately to her rescue! She was even going to pay for it! Woaw, she was feeling a lot more wanted and special now, heh. With an excited grin towards Laurinda the redhead gave her a thumbs up.

"Awww, someone's no fun." She replied to her concerns with a light chuckle. "Who would pass up this opportunity to get a good head on everyone else?" Claire continued. "Besiiiides, it'll be fun! but Thanksabunch and I'll see ya around then Laurinda." She turned on her heel, running a few steps before turning back around and giving a mock salute. "Oh, and I still owe ya a major favor for lettin' me tag along! If ya ever need anything give me a call! See yas!" She turned to Yvonne, giving her new rival a bright grin.

"Awright, lets get going! Get all the info from Laurinda. I gotta heal up my pokemon here first and then we can get moving to Redcoast and fun times." Before Yvonne would be able to reply, the redhead bolted towards the hut to get her pokemon healed. After the little adventure in the woods, they were all feeling a bit tired and could probably go for a rest. Maybe even try and talk things over with Lure again.

Oh.

And she still needed to fix her hair and otherwise slightly disheveled appearance after the scuffle with that stupid bug. Eh, maybe once they got back into town.

Action taken, heal pokemon at the hut. Then off to redcoast. Wherever they're supposed to leave from.

Wondering for a while what she could do now she desiced to walk back and choised the other path. She walked to the tunnel which opened to a large area, hearing again those bat pokemons moving around there, which maked her little unsure. As deeper she walked the more she beginned to wonder, did she really make a good desicion to go inside this cave. More and more she begin to feel nervous, all directions look the same, she wasen't even sure where she was even and it started to worry her. She just wanted to get out here and see the sunlight once again. Thought she didn't want to give up, there much to be way out, she just needed to find the right path.

Lucius was impressed with his new partner, the venipide had trained well. He was satisfied his team was ready to move on from the woods now. As Lucius pondered where he would go next,he noticed Dawking walking from the caves...what were they called? Ah yes, the Wet Caverns This reminder gave Lucius inspiration for where he and his associates would go next. Lucius had no intention to speak with Dawkin as he passed him, but he would tolerate him if the trainer had good reason to speak. Otherwise Lucius continued to march towards the Wet Caverns, curious to see what he could find.

Dawkin Trustram

@PlatinumSkink

Dawkin glanced through the woods not too thoroughly as he was in a bit of hurry, though he wasn't too worried as he could see several of the starter trainers were still here. The only thing that caught his eye was Claire was heading out of the deeper woods with Laurinda and another girl. What was that about? Had Claire and that girl been rescued or was it something else? Dawkin almost felt like talking to Laurinda and telling her what had happened in the Caverns, but that would involving telling her and the other two that he'd been forced to turn tail and run from the Caverns the practically the second he'd entered and was retreating to take a safer route. He was embarrassed just thinking about it like that. Dawkin shook his head moving along towards Pureplain city. He noted the hut and thought about using it instead, but it had a charge whereas PokeCenters didn't, and he was heading home to buy some supplies anyway. His last few encounters had proved beyond doubt that it paid to be prepared, it was troubling to think what would've happened if he hadn't gotten an escape rope on the way to the Caverns.

‘… Hmm.’ Laurinda listened to Amelia’s confession, her expression turning from slightly previous exhaustion to mild interest. She raised a single finger to her lips as the woman gazed around at the somewhat out-of-the-ordinary movements of the ghosts, and then looked at Amelia curiously.

The Trevenant which Amelia approached slowly turned, revealing its state. Parts of the trunk broke apart to show the darkness beneath to allow it to turn, and a single eye gazing down at Amelia from the crown while the bottom was still ingrained in the ground. At the movement of the Trevenant, a few Phantumps suddenly came flying in from around the woods and hid behind the Trevenant, but peeked out from behind it at Amelia, little tree-skulls peeking out from the sides.

Of course, Amelia already knew that the particular tree was a Trevenant, but Laurinda could blink a little in surprise over there, but kept her composure. Laurinda’s Chandelure and Trevenant stood at her sides, watching attentively as well.

‘Treeeee-eh…?’ It made a fairly dark-toned noise of a response, but sure. Amelia could tell. It was totally fine with talking.

@Rune_Alchemist

‘Hmpf! Repay me by giving me an entertaining show upon our arrival! I will accept nothing less!’ Yvonne replied to Claire’s words about the favour, a proud smile on her lips, and then she nodded. ‘Very well! I’ll see all necessary information collected!’ So she said, turning to Laurinda who was dialing a number and had opted not to reply to anything for a bit.

Claire finds the couple that runs the hut and gets to pay 100P for getting her Pokémon healed. They were totally super-friendly and she’d be allowed to rest for a while, too, if she wanted. Which was assumingly entirely fine, because it’d take a while before the one that Laurinda had called for would arrive. Way enough time to potentially strike up a conversation or thirteen with someone or two, potentially with her own Pokémon or so, but that’s all up to Claire if she wanted to or not.

That said, here’s what will happen.

Eventually, after a while of waiting, a cry of a powerful flying bird echoed through the woods. There likely was quite a spectacle as flying Volbeats fled the sight and the light escaped that particular part of the wood as a single silver bird with someone on its back flew in at extraordinary speed before stopping with a single powerful flap right in front of Laurinda and Delphox. Yvonne would be waving to Claire to get over if she was too far away.

‘Laurinda. Not often I get a call from you.’ The man on the bird said to the robed woman while taking off his helmet. He had been wearing a white helmet with goggles and a pair of headphones and a speaker attached to it while in flight, while on his body he wore a shirt and tie of some sorts, marked with a few badges and a symbol that represented the Freecape Ferrymen. Himself, he was an adult man with short black hair, though yet a bit younger than Laurinda.

‘… I don’t often need your help to move. But, this time, the customer is not me, I just had your number.’ Laurinda replied, calm. She then turned to look at Yvonne and Claire. ‘This man’s your ride.’ So she said, causing the man to smirk a little. ‘You know, I wouldn’t mind if you called once or twice outside professional intentions.’ He replied, before he jumped off his metal bird and faced to meet the two of them with a professional expression.

‘I’m Eugene, of the Freecape Ferrymen. And this is Skyhound.’ He said to them.

Pokédex Entry #227 – Skarmory, the Armor Bird Pokémon. It is encased in hard armor, which edges is sharpened by the thorns of the bramble bushes it likes to make nests in. Unhindered it can fly at almost 190 mph. While looking heavy, its wings are hollow and light allowing for free flight.

The Skarmory, Skyhound, gave a little loud bird-cry at the introduction. On his back was a saddle for one or two small, as well as grips and harnesses to ensure a comfortable and safe ride.

‘That said, he’s tired from his trip here. Have a rest.’ Eugene said, lifting a Pokéball and returning the Skarmory to it.

‘We’re looking for tickets for two to Redcoast City. I’m paying.’ Yvonne declared to him.

‘… Alright. Including the fee for making me fly from Freecape here, then to Redcoast, and then I’ll need to fly back… That’ll be 4,950 P per person.’ Eugene stated. Yvonne staggered a little, getting a bit sweaty in her face. It was apparently a bit more than she had imagined.

‘A-as I said, I’m paying…!’ She insisted, however, and got her wallet out of her pocket to take a large percentage of her travel resources to hand over to the Ferryman.

‘Great. So, is everything in order?’ Eugene asked Yvonne and Claire, making sure there were no mistakes happening.

Of course, if this post went through things a bit too fast, then Claire can interrupt at any time and say or do whatever she wants.

Donna made her way inside the larger cave, and there were quite a few Zubats around that were watching her threateningly. This direction was a bit darker than the other directions, and it didn’t help that she may feel like there were tiny movements from here and there with no real telling of what it was coming from…

… But there was suddenly one, very unmistakable sound. The sound of crunching, crashing, rock versus rock collision and rolling boulders heading at her from deeper within the cavern. And it was getting louder and louder. Likely, she’d realize it was a single boulder rolling through the cave at high speed.

Pokédex Entry #75 – Graveler, the Rock Pokémon. A Graveler’s life consists of travelling up mountains feeding on their rocks to grow big, and then rolling down to the bottom to climb again. Due to their free and uncaring nature, they make some mountain trails very dangerous.

… As Donna doesn’t actually currently have the power to stop a rolling Graveler, we’ll assume she was fast enough to dodge aside in any direction she chose. Would make such a terrible mess, otherwise. The rolling Graveler then turned where it was spinning by the previous crossroad Donna had been in and rolled right through the route with the shallow waters and the Surskits, who knows to where, the sound of destructive uncaring rolling rock continuing.

But another sound became immediately obvious as well.

‘Geo!’ ‘DUDE!’ ‘Geo, dude!’

A number of very angry rocks that had been sleeping so peacefully was suddenly riling up in force in the wake of the Graveler’s path, and they all seemed very intent on blaming each others for their rude awakening…

Pokédex Entry #74 – Geodude, the Rock Pokémon. Found in fields as well as mountains. They commonly rest, half-buried in the ground and indistinguishable from normal rocks. There are always way more Geodude around than a traveler will notice. Stepping on one by accident may trigger their rage.

Within moments, the cavern before Donna had descended into a free-for-all of floating two-armed rocks punching and throwing rocks as well as other Geodudes at each other, tackling and rolling into one another for the pain of it, making countless sounds of “geo” and “dude” while doing so. The route beyond them led upwards an incline, who knows where, but it was darker in that direction. Up to Donna what she wanted to do, now.

Lucian kept going, passing by Dawkin as he did, and headed for the Wet Caverns. This part of the woods was not challenging to him, and he could find his way there quite easily. Eventually, the path became more steep, going upwards towards a small mountain that stood in the way of those who sought to travel to Lakewatch Town from here. And eventually… here it was. The special little hole in the mountain.

It’s just a hole, anyone can go in and attempt getting to the other side. It remains wild, just like the Pokémon that await within. However, before Lucian could actually gain entrance, there were two people standing in unconventionally fancy clothes right next to the entrance, talking to one another. One was a young girl with long cyan hair bound with a red ribbon into a pony-tail wearing a green high-class something. The man who looked in his young twenties had red mildly spiky hair, a full suit with black tie, and he was smoking a cigarette. All in all, not the attires one would usually go travelling with, certainly not into the Wet Caverns.

… And they were both extremely out of breath, the guy leaning at the wall with his cigarette in hand with a troubled expression, while the was crouching over with her hands on her legs. Both their outfits were quite dirty and wet, they had clearly been running through the Wet Caverns.

‘W-we got away…’ The girl said.

‘We’re not safe, yet, though. They may figure out we tricked them.’ The man uttered, peeking at the cavern entrance. The girl clenched her fists and glared at him.

‘Y-you…! You made me leave Ducklett! My partner!’ The girl complained, frowning at the guy. As a response, he merely took out his cigarette and breathed out a puff of smoke.

‘Should have packed more Escape Ropes. As it was, it was a necessary sacrifice.’ He answered. In response to this, the girl just looked angrier, but she instead turned towards the entrance of the cavern.

‘Darn you, Team Virtue! Do you really gain so much pleasure from getting in our way!? You already won the war, do you really have to keep us oppressed!? All we wanted to do was poach a few dra-!’

She was suddenly shut up by a sudden cigarette thrusted into her mouth, causing the girl to go wide-eyed and cough out loudly, trying to get the infringing object out of her mouth. Meanwhile, the guy would turn his eyes to look for potential eavesdroppers.

If Lucian was out of sight, perhaps he had hidden or something as there had been time for that, the guy would simply be looking out just in case. If Lucian was out in the open, then the guy’s eyes most certainly settled on him with an unamused look that was quite clearly asking “and now, what are you and what are you gonna do?”

Of course, it was totally up to Lucian what he wanted to do now. Move on into Wet Caverns, strike a conversation, pull back, surprise the GM… all sorts of things.

With his victory, Martin followed back through the drain. He’d eventually come back to the “kingdom” which he had previously conquered, where me met no opposition as he strolled by. Nobody had woken up Lena yet, she was still sleeping against the wall. He was free to proceed back to Pureplain City. The drain would eventually lead into a river in Pureplain which on its own flooded out into the ocean. Now, that river wasn’t dried up, even though the drain Martin was walking on was, so it eventually just ended in an edge that went down into the water of the river from the side. Martin likely had to use one of a few helpful ladders or steps that appeared here and there to get where he intended on going.

@Eklispe

Meanwhile, Dawkin moved on towards Pireplain City from the other side, passing Lucian in the Infested Woods but otherwise and for ease of things he did not run into anything catastrophically menacing. It was simply a walk back to where he came from, through the woods and also through Route 2 eventually and then back to the city.

Both of them would then have pretty similar trips.

Connected areas:
Route 1. Easier path, just follow the bigger road.
Route 2. Walk through quite an amount of suburbs until you eventually reach the path.
Sea. There’s water, alright. Can take you anywhere you want to go, assuming you have means to traverse it.

But, of course, they had already determined where to go. Pokémon Center first, and then onto the PokéMart.

The Pokémon Center is filled with bunches of people who’re discussing Pokémon things, trading Pokémon across the world on the floor above, or just getting themselves healed. And, it doesn’t take all that long until their turns, where they can walk up to the counter and get their Pokémon healed.

And then, onto the PokéMart. And yupp, it’s just a mart out here.

The clerk’s an decidedly average young male but perfectly ready to take your order. And, of course. This is Pureplain City. The stock is decidedly PLAIN.

And, since their journeys were somewhat similar, Martin and Dawkin MIGHT run into one another in the Pokémon Center or the PokéMart, if they so fancy.

Amelia smiled up at the Trevenant.
"Thank you for the audience." She said, giving it a very slight bow. "I'm looking for a partner to join me on my journey, a Phantump. But I hear you kind are the guardians of this forest, so I don't wish to take one of your charges without your permission. Also, I'm trying to find a very special Phantump. It would look different from the others, with a silver mask and blue eyes. If one lives around here, can you possibly lead me to it so I can talk to it? I promise I will not harm any of your charges, I simply want to talk to them and see if any would be willing to join me on my journey."

Her pitch made, she stood in front of the Trevenant, waiting to see what it's verdict would be, silently praying that it would approve and that a shiny Phantump did live in these woods.

@PlatinumSkink

After healing her pokemon in the hut, Claire swiftly exited, not wanting to linger any longer than she had too. Besides, she still wanted to knock out a good decent conversation with all of her pokemon. Lure included. After making her way back outside, the redhead moved to a relatively quiet part of the forest where she wouldn't be all that bothered by any other trainers, at least for now. She was confident she wouldn't get distracted at all. So with a confident grin, she released all of her pokemon from their pokeballs.

"Heya guys!" She cheerily greeted them.

"L-led!" Ritz seemed a little startled by suddenly being released. As adorable as seeing him flutter into Lure was when he was released, that was probably something she was gonna have to work on. Build up that little bugs confidence!

"Bee." Combee just stared at Claire with a blank expression, hardly reacting to being bumped into by Ritz. She almost seemed to completely ignore his presence altogether. Geh. Claire almost wanted to slap that bug again.

"Weedle!" Del, seemed energetic and mostly level headed at least.

"Sooo, I kinda ended up catching all of you in a preeety short amount of time, heh." Claire said with a light chuckle. "But hey, when you're on a roll can't stop that kill streak, er, capture streak, nope!" Ralia bounced over and stood in front of the pokemon, which were lined up next to each othe. "Annways, hello. hi. It's me. Your fabulous trainer named Claire if you didn't catch the memo, hehe!~" She chuckled. "So. Ritz, Lure, Del...this is Ralia."

Lure glared coolly at the fairy type, while Ritz seemed to avert his gaze in a somewhat unsure and anxious manner. Del let out a little cry of greeting.

"Grreat, now that's out of the way, we'll all be besties, 'kay?" Claire continued as Ralia cozied up next to Ritz. "So, we're gonna be heading off to Redcoast...pretty soon. Got a free ride there and iiiif my instincts are right, which they usually are, we can get into some juicy contests and stuff there! So, so, we're gonna have to work on all of our teamwork once we get there."

Lure seemed completely unimpressed, as though she wanted nothing to do with it. Ritz zeemed to look at Claire as though this was a terrible idea, and Del just stared. Ralia looked up at Ritz, and gave him a small poke on his nose, earning a small surprised cry from the bug type.

"Y'know, Lure." Claire said walking over to the combee with a frown. "Ya could at least try to be friendly."

"Bee." The bee replied in a sassy manner, its six eyes rolling in a clearly sarcastic manner...before blasting another gust of wind right in Claire's face. She had to visibly restrain herself from slapping the bug again. Calm, Claire. You are calm and will not smack a bitch.

"That's fine, that's cool, I can take sass ya stupid bug." She grabbed Lure's pokeball, quickly returning the bee to it with a irritated huff. "I swear, its like she is trying to annoy me." Well, at least she had a little small moment of bonding with the pokemon before there was a loud beating of wings and the loud cry of a bird that caused the volbeats to scatter. With an awed expression, Claire turned to the Skarmory as it landed. "OOh, that must be our ride. Snazzy." Rtiz though, seemed to have taken a page form the Volbeats book and had fled to Claire's back, poking his head just over her shoulder. Del simply stared, before crawling off in the exact opposite direction with an expression that Claire clearly surmised was 'NOPE.'

"Waaah, come oon you two. The large metal bird that likely likes to eat little bugs like you isn't gonna hurt ya." Claire said, reaching around and plucking Ritz off of her back. Her words didn't sound too reassuring. Ritz just gave her the biggest puppy dog eyes he could possibly muster as she held him in front of her. "Aw come ooon, don't give me that, Ritz." She said, running a hand over his back. "You'll be in your pokeball anyways. You probably can't keep up with that thing, and it'd be a really bad idea to try and carry ya. Same for you, Del." Claire said as Ralia pulled the but type back to Claire's feet.

"L-led..."

"Hey, it'll be fine!" She said, giving him a little scratch under his chin. "When we get to Redcoast we'll all do a bit of training and then take a look at the contests. Maybe see if there's any more cool pokemon around, yeah?" With a final gentle pat, she returned Ritz and Del to their pokeballs. Ralia had crossed her tiny arms, glaring up at Claire.

"Ouch, sorry babe but you got to go in too."

"Ral."

"Oh come on, don't pout."

"Ralts."

"What, do you want to fall from a hundred feet up in the air or something? I mean, I'd be all for free skydiving lessons as long as they didn't involve me going splat at the end of them."

"Ralllllts." In a surprisingly childish fashion, Ralia turned her head to the side.

"Oh come on...look, I'll buy ya something nice when we get there."

"Ral..." Well, at least she seemed to be somewhat in agreement. With a satisfied smile, Claire returned Ralia to her pokeball and walked back over to where Yvonne, Laurinda, and their ride was waiting. She had probably taken a bit longer than intended, but eh. She managed to get back just in time as introductions were being made.

"Heya, Nice to meet ya. The names Claire." She introduced herself, though said nothing else as they started talking price and details. She, was sorely not prepared for the price at all either. That much? Per person? She didn't even have enough to pay her fare! Ugh, that made her feel a tiny bit bad, but the feeling quickly passed. She'd just pay Yvonne back at some point. Easy enough.

"Uhm, yep. Pokemon healed and ready to go Eugene!" Claire replied. "So come ooon, lets go already! Redcoast and my fame awaits!"

Martin Price

Martin rushed his way through the small Kingdom. No one made a move to stop his progress, but he still felt the need to show off to them as he kept going. "The rare monster has been captured by me, pleasure doing business with you, my foolish king." He didn't bother waiting for a reaction, as he still needed to keep going. Following the drain, Martin found a ladder out of the drain, noting that the water was fine nearby. Looks like this drain either was blocked, or things were dry at the other end. The walk back through Route 1 was as calm as ever, reminding him of his original trip here. With a shake of his head, and a firm reminder he wasn't walking for the view right now, Martin kept going to Pureplain City.

Arriving yet again, he headed to the Pokemon Center first, being a priority on his list. There was a line, and Martin waited patiently until it was his turn. The lady on the other side asked if he wanted healing, to which he replied yes. After a couple dings and some time, he was passed back his Pokeballs. He thanked the nurse and was on his way out again.

He was finally ready to get back out there. The nagging feeling that he forgot something. Route 2 flashed in his mind, he still needed to buy a few items. Good thing he had some extra cash from his adventures. So it was time to head to the Pokemart and start stocking up. He dug around his bag to figure out what he had, and what was still needed. Down a few Pokeballs, needing some Repels, and plenty of room to add more. After counting his money and looking over the list of items sold, he was ready to spend pretty large today. He talked to the cashier and made his order of items. "Hello there, I would like to buy 2 Pokeballs, 2 Repels, 1 Awakening, 2 Potions and 1 Paralyze heal. Let's see, what else would I need? Oh, throw in an Escape Rope, and a Great Ball. I had a few bad experiences lately, and am trying to be ready for a lot more situations this time."

Dawkin Trustram

Having run into no more incident Dawkin continued on his way to the Pokecenter, the first logical stop. He get in just as Martin left, noting the other boy's presence but not making a move based off of it. His Pokémon were quickly healed and he way on his way to the Pokemart, rather keenly interested in preparing himself in case he ran into anything like he had already. He got in just in time to see Martin load up and quite a few items. Seemed they had similar ideas. "Never hurts to be prepared, as have been made rather obvious to me due to recent events." Dawkin said cordially to Martin as he waited for his turn to buy. He planned on getting another Escape Rope, two Repels, an awakening, paralyze heal, and an antidote. That should do the trick for now, he still had five Pokeballs which should be enough until he got to another town. In addition he didn't really expect to run into the same amount of trouble on route 1 for obvious reasons, but he was feeling a little paranoid.

Joshua and Ewan helped her out with the phone, ensuring that it went well enough to get their contact information exchanged and that she then knew how to use it to contact them should events occur. She’d also find that the numbers to all the other trainers that had received Pokédexes from Kalmia were in there, as well as to Kalmia herself.

‘Heh. The Gym, eh? Oooh, I heard some stories about that gym from back home when they heard I was becoming a Pokémon Trainer and was heading for Pureplain City.’ Joshua grinned. ‘But, perhaps it’s better that you find those parts out for yourself~’ He commented, though she could still ask and he’d answer, of course.

‘Well!’ Joshua smiled at the question. ‘I don’t have a strict destination. Thing is, I want to go both directions! Wet Caverns should contain interesting Water-type Pokémon as well as cave ones, they got to be cool, but Silent Forest is said to have fairies, among other things! I wonder if there are any cool fairies there?’ Joshua inquired to himself.

‘… So, we were planning on heading through Route 2, to Infested Woods and Wet Caverns on the way, and then loop back north through Stillwood Village, perhaps look at the Mountain Valley and Mt. Strength on the way, then dip south to the Silent Shrine and Forest before finally heading north through Rainrock City then finally to Redcoast City. That was the original plan.’ Ewan described, apparently they had planned this out ahead of time.

‘But! Plans can change on a whim!’ Joshua grinned, placing a hand on his headphones, just because.

Ren quickly got the hang of how to both access and use the phone within the Pokedex thanks to the efforts of Ewan and Joshua, finding the mechanisms behind it simpler than expected. Ever the fast learner, she closed her Pokedex once she felt she had got the steps in her head, and thanked the both of them for their assistance. She nodded in understanding as Joshua mentioned some 'stories' about the gym in Pureplain. It got her thinking just what those stories might be; the only way to find out would be to go there herself when she was ready.

Ren listed the places Ewan had spoken about in her Pokedex, in case they ever crossed paths again she found herself lost. Though their destinations likely had more contest-related Pokemon, Ren had a feeling Ewan may have listed a place he himself would like to go, perhaps to acquire stronger Pokemon. She remembered his rather apathetic statement earlier in regards to the rival battles, and got the impression that the young man also wanted to become a strong trainer. With the destinations safely recorded, Moyra pocketed her Pokedex and let Shyn slip into her hood, the little wolf-like Pokemon bundled snugly inside her hoodie, apparently feeling a bit tired after the day's proceedings.

"I see. If I ever find myself in such places, I'll keep a lookout for you both." Sensing that their time together would be coming to an end, she decided to make one last offer. "Thank you both for the time we spent today. You've both treated me to such experiences, I'll find it hard to repay. Are you interested in getting some food? Or do you both have places to be?" She tried not to sound like she wanted them to stay, which was hard due to her not being a very good talker. She genuinely was just wondering if there was any way she could pay them back, wanting to repay the kindness they had offered her today. Of course, she didn't really have the funds to follow through with such things, but then again, neither did Joshua.

@Joshua Tamashii - Night

The Trevenant watched Amelia intently as she made her inquiry, staring down at her. Behind her, Laurinda was keeping her attention split between her and the Gourgeists moving about, knowing they had a tendency to be dangerous. But, upon having heard Amelia’s plea, the Trevenant took a few moments before replying. And… the tree replied by grinning and slowly bending backwards and letting out a loud, genuine belly laugh, or whatever qualified for it in a tree Pokémon. The Phantumps behind it also started snickering, though mostly seemingly just to be in-line with their parent.

Then… the Trevenant let out a louder roar, a ghostly sound which sounded like it had some form of meaning, for the Trevenants around turned their heads to look at it, and then to Amelia. There was some form of acknowledgement going around. Then, the ingrained trees around moved. A few of them moved out of a way, numerous branches turned to allow a passage. It was a direction which was roughly 30 degrees to the right from the source of the darker presence, not towards but somewhat closer. The Trevenant lifted one of his big tree-hands and pointed through the path that had been created through the ghastly woods.

The indication was clear. Follow the passage. Behind her, Laurinda stood, analyzing what had happened with interest. Up to Amelia if she was going to follow the path or so.

And so, they were ready to get going. Eugene nodded to Claire’s words, and then took out three Pokéballs, throwing them onto the ground. To perhaps nobody’s surprise, they all contained Skarmories. Apparently, variation was not a requirement when you were doing this as a business. The three metal birds all had metal handles, saddles and a safety-harness to ensure whoever was wearing it was definitely not falling off and a place to set a foot on each side. Eugene went around and examined the equipment for a bit, while the whole thing was pulling some attention from quite a few young trainers. It wasn’t something they were supposed to see yet at their level.

‘Alright. C’mon.’ He offered a hand to Yvonne, helping her get her foot in the right place to rise onto the Skarmory. Yvonne looked a little uncomfortable having to do that, considering she wasn’t wearing the longest of skirts. The saddle was constructed so that one’s legs were placed backwards along the creature, as to not get in the way of the Skarmory’s wings, while the handles were up by the shoulders. Essentially, one would be leaning over the Skarmory for the ride in order to ensure safety and free flying. Yvonne eventually got up, and harness in place, after Eugene set it into place. There was a place to strap backpacks and such safely, too.

‘Alright! I am ready to set off for the skies!’ Yvonne announced, pointing upwards. The Skarmory didn’t move an inch and started scratching itself under the left wing with its metal beak.

‘Alright. Now you.’ Eugene said, walking to the next Skarmory and offering Claire a hand to help her up on hers. The same way which was for Yvonne, there was a step strapped on the behind of the Skarmory to allow her to get up on a saddle made for pretty much lying on the Skarmory to ensure the leg weren’t in the way of the wings, and a harness binding a person to the Skarmory to ensure no chance of falling off. If Claire for some reason didn’t get up, then tell so here, because then the rest of the post will be very different.

‘Okay. You’ll do fine. Good to know. Good luck on your journeys. I’ll be… right here.’ Laurinda said to them, sounding a bit tired, before turning around to walk into the Infested Woods again. Delphox looked after her and then at Yvonne and Claire, before raising one of her paw-hands in farewell.

‘Phoooox.’ She called, not exactly in an inspiring tone, but it had been a modest distraction from how boring the woods usually were, so they deserved a bit of a greeting. She then turned to follow Laurinda back into the woods.

‘… And now we have to do something about the mess you did in the Deep Infested Woods before night comes…’ Laurinda said, giving a little stare at Delphox, who shrugged a bit but followed along. So they were off.

Assuming Claire didn’t object in some ways, she’d soon be properly bound to the Skarmory while Eugene went to his own. He’d throw a final glance after Laurinda and them smile to his customers.

‘Alright. For safety, do not attempt to dislodge from the Skarmory at any time. It’s going to be a long way down. But otherwise, you’re all ready?’ And the answer would hopefully be yes at this point.

Then, Eugene gave a hand signal for forward, and the Skarmories started off running a few steps before lifting their wings and flapping powerfully, lifting off the ground rider and all. They lifted from the ground, and the riders would feel the forces of wind and motion hit them as they lifted higher and higher as the birds waved their wings and they broke out of the trees of the woods. Soon, they were high above Route 2, continuing higher and higher, and it’d almost feel to Claire as if they were being carried back towards Pureplain… but then they turned northward, and they were getting higher and higher. High up here, on top of a metal bird, there was quite a view.

From here, she could see the vastness of the Pureplain suburbs and height of the city from a high point of her own. She could tell where the Infested Woods spread, and how the trees seemed to get darker the further in one arrived even as they were always thick. To the east lay the Dragon Lake and Route 14, from here simply looking like a vast lake surrounded by trees in the north and by a cliff in the south. The cliff being the one which the Wet Caverns went through, and just beyond that lay a town which the water seemed to leak into, which was Lakewatch City from a distance…

In the north of there, by what if Claire had seen a map should be the location of Stillwood Village, there was but forest. One could not actually see a village, it was only forest there. Seeing further was blocked by the mountain range of Mt. Strength. On the west side of the lake, there was a pretty easy green path seen going through a nice little amount of buildings on hills that was assumingly Highhill Town, which went north into an area where it was currently raining. It was harder to see in that direction, for it rained on Rainrock City, right by the foot of Mt, Strength. To the west of Highhill Town was a forest, assumingly the Silent Forest, which contained the Silent Shrine though that one could not be seen from here.

The Skarmories flew out west, over sea, on their journey northwards. Their journey took them towards a city awaiting them right ahead, by the sea and with shores next to it. It was larger than both Highhill and Rainrock, but perhaps not as big as Pureplain, yet still. Redcoast City awaited them, and the Skarmories would eventually start to descend towards it. Yvonne let out somewhat of a cry of excitement on the journey, holding onto the metal bird for dear life as they zoomed in. On the way, to the west of Redcoast… there was an island. Claire couldn’t see much of it from here, but it was flat and decidedly bright with yellow. It was hard to tell why, though.

And so… the buildings grew larger as they homed in.

Connected areas:
Route 11. A semi-populated road east under greying skies, where it quickly reaches a steep climb towards Rainrock.
Route 15. A simple walk down to the beach, where the sea leads on.

And so, they landed right at the entrance of the city, by a road that led inside. The Skarmories made sure to take a few swings of their wings to slow down their descent before landing, and multiple people in vacationly dresses and shorts dodged out of the way as the birds landed. Eugene was quick to jump off his bird and go help the two girls off theirs. Yvonne’s head seemed to be spinning a bit, she appeared to be feeling a touch of motion-sickness, despite the fact that she had apparently had previous flying experience in her way of ending up in Infested Woods. But, the girl would eventually be able to get down and then Eugene would help Claire down.

‘Okay. You’ll be fine from here?’ Eugene asked, looking to Claire and Yvonne.

As he walked through the kingdom, he got numerous stares of different kinds as he passed, the King looking grudgingly on while his Princess stared at him in awe after Martin had called his success.

‘Big brother! Become like that!’ The little girl demanded as Martin passed by.

‘I’ll, uh. I’ll try.’ Lewis replied, scratching his hair a bit awkwardly and looking away.

Then the rest of the journey happened.

‘Lesse, two Pokéballs, two repels, two potions, awakening, paralyze heal, escape rope and a Great Ball. Yeah, that’ll be 3300 P. Is that all?’ The man behind the counter said as Martin had his things. He’s free to go through with the purchase.

@Eklispe

In the event that then Dawkin came forth to the counter in order to buy what he wanted.

‘Escape rope, two repels, awakening, paralyze heal and an antidote. That’ll be 1800 P. Is that all?’ The man behind the counter said to Dawkin.

They were both obviously free to pick more from the stock if they had the money and/or desire to do so.

Otherwise, they could head on somewhere else if they wanted to.

When Ren then offered getting some food, Ewan first looked at her a bit in surprise, but then had some trouble containing a smile so he led a hand in front of his mouth. This was in response to knowing exactly how his companion was going to reply. Because Joshua was already beaming in rejoice and Pikachu was pretty much absorbing his excitement as well, the ears and tail rising up excitedly.

‘MOST CERTAINLY!’ He hit a hand to his chest, smiling happily, and Pikachu was quick to copy the gesture. ‘We’d be happy to accept your gratitude! We’re interested in all the food, especially when offered by such a sweet and cute friend of ours! We’d be honored to accept!’ … Yupp. Most definitely up for food.

‘Yeah, we’re up for it. Thank you.’ Ewan said, nodding to her, having accepted that Joshua’s word was going to take preference this time.

They could then head off to find whatever kind of place Ren wanted to treat her new friends to, and if Ren wanted to, she could ask them specific questions. But, otherwise we could just assume they had a pleasant time talking and so before eventually becoming done with that before it was time to leave again, upon which time the options were laid up for her again. She’d still be with Joshua and Ewan at the time, of course.

Otherwise, they could head on somewhere else if they wanted to.

Amelia watched the Trevenant closely and smiled when it began laughing. She didn't understand what was so funny but she knew it being amused was better then it being angry. When it let out the loud roar, Amelia winced, unable to cover her ears as Shuppet was cowering in her arms and she didn't want to let the little girl go. The chorus of roars afterwards left her with a bit of a headache but she ignored the pain and moved down the path the Trevenants made for her, but only after she gave her thanks.

When they reached the clearing, Amelia looked around at the gathered Trevanant a bit nervously. When the child's voice reached her ears though, she stood at attention, feeling a Ghost-type approaching her. When the voice got close enough, she turned towards it and found her quarry, a shiny Phantump, floating behind her with a small army of regular Phantumps. Smiling, she sat down and let go of Shuppet, who floated over her head, so she could slowly extend a hand to the shiny Phantump.
"Hello there, it's nice to meet you. You sang that song really well." She said to the Phantump, giving it a kind smile.

Upon seeing the Skarmory, Claire had to visibly refrain from squeeing in excitement. In her typical fashion, she didn't wait for Eugene to try and help her up in the harness. Instead, she tried to get into it herself. Easy enough, right? Just a simple climb onto the back of a metal bird that could likely probably easily end her adorable little butt in a matter of seconds. Wasn't like she could screw this up, right? She placed one foot in the very visible step on the back and tried to make her way up.

Instructions unclear, leg caught in Skarmory wing.

By the time Eugene got around to helping her she had, indeed, managed to get onto the back of the skarmory. She was hanging upside down from the saddle, having accidentally slipped. The skarmory was simply glaring at her in a fairly unimpressed fashion. After a bit of help from Eugene though, she managed to do it with clear instructions and was sitting on the back of her giant metal bird. Claire was grinning eagerly in her usual fashion as Delphox waved them goodbye.

"Byeee foxy!~" She called out, waving to her as Laurinda headed back for the woods. "Go easy on her, alright! She was just makin' sure my cute butt didn't get killed by a swarm of angry beedrills!~" Turning her attention back to Eugene, she gave the man an equally bright grin. "Alright, yes yes, keep your arms and legs inside the giant metal bird at all times! Yip yip, blast off, tallyho and all that! Enough safety talk lets get going!~" Almost as soon as she finished speaking, her Skarmory lifted into the air at a somewhat fast pace, and soon they were high above route 2.

The view was absolutely fantastic.

They were swiftly leaving the forest, the thick trees of the infested woods seemingly growing darker the further in they got. Huh, mental note for later. She'd check it out later once she could go there herself. Maybe surprise Laurinda! Robe lady would definitely enjoy that, heh. Not long after to her left, pureplain stretched beneath them, suburbs and all. It was a lot bigger of a city than she gave credit from the ground.

Really, she should hurry up and get her a flying type so she could fly everywhere in style.

...and the thought quickly passed. Once she was up in the air and the momentary wonder if the view wore off, Claire was a bit bored. Smooth sailing, as they said. Hmm, this would be a good time to practice some aerial acrobatics for contests, wouldn't it? Surely that wasn't a terrible idea, hm? Thankfully, her skarmory had a lot more sense then she did and refused to 'do a barrel roll'. In one of her many attempts though, she spotted a rather mysterious island off the coast of the city.

Huh, curious. Her gamer instincts were telling her to ignore the main quest and thoroughly explore it. But...it was far out in the sea. Hm. She could swim? Heh, she'd need to by a swimsuit first but she could totally swim the distance. Totally, no problem. Wasn't like some silly sharpedo wanted to nibble on her. Making another mental note of where she wanted to explore for later after she strengthened herself up a bit, the Skarmory's began to descend.

People moved out of the way on the streets below as the flying metal deathbirds landed with a thud. Eugene was the first off as usual, and went about helping Yvonne off. She seemed a bit motion sick, though Claire was too busy once again trying to untangle herself from the saddle without aid. She had a better effort then last time, but her foot managed to get caught on the saddle in some fashion. After giving Eugene her best award-winning smile she was freed once again.

"So this is redcoast!" Claire excitedly grinned as she energetically looked all over the town, as much as she could see from where they had landed. "It's amazing! The beach is so close too-huuh?" There was a flash of red light as the pokeball containing Ralia opened, freeing the Ralts from its confines.

"Oh hey, Ralia!" Claire greeted her pokemon with her usual fashion, picking up the small pokemon with a grin. "We're here! Redcoast, and its absolutely fabulous. Hey hey, thanks Eugene." She said turning back to the pilot. "Yeah, I'll be fine form here. I'm thinking I'm gonna go to route 11 for a bit of training first, then hit the shops. Heh, I need to by some more clothes. Gotta look my best for the contests! So, hrm...actually, though. I have a question." Claire said, letting Ralia rest on her shoulder. "I saw an island on the way over here, just off the coast of the city. Any idea what that was?"

She almost pooped to her pants when the big rock started to roll toward her with a good speed. She didn't have much time to think what she could do at that moment, so she just jumped out of the way, luckily for her the path was wide enought for her to Dodge it, without end up being a pancake. When the rock was rolled past her, she did have enough time to figure out that it wasen't a original rock, but a Graveler the rock type.

Sighing she didn't even to get a few steps forward when heared a other heavy sounds coming near. Glancing around she noticed the the anrgy Geodudes there battling with each others. Throwing rocks, rolling around, for her it didn't wasen't the most safes path to go, but there wasen't other roads there either and she didn't want turn back, again. Sighing in annoying she maked her way to the rock pokemons and taked the most emptyes path to circle them, without getting their attention or get hitted By any of their throwing rocks.

Walking past the pokemons she end up to a path, which was too dark to her almost seeing anything at all. Walking forward leaving the noisy Geodudes behing her.
