Shu didn’t mind if he had to walk further in the sand, even if it was getting sore if it meant he was able to move around. They didn’t look too bad, but they were stinging and could probably use some water. He could hold onto Takeshi pretty well and he was able to see everything from up here, his hood keeping over his face so that he may just keep the sand from hurting his eyes too. Holding onto Takeshi nice and tight, he gasped when they were suddenly out in the sandy storm again, pulling his hood down a little more, “Ooh! No way can fly in this…” he groaned, giving his head a quick shake, “I will be happy to get back on grass, all nice and soft…” It wasn’t just the fact that his feet were hurting because of the sand, but getting back to grass meant he would have a lot more grip and he would be able to walk around without any problem, at least not without washing his feet down first.

T’charrl wasn’t too happy with having to go out into the sandstorm again, kind of hoping he was going to instead wait it out until it got better. It was causing him the most problem and while it was a great experience getting to see these aliens and this new environment it was certainly causing him a lot of pain. Pulling his sheet down a little further, he looked to Takeshi as he lay out a plan, feeling as if it was a good idea too. It would hurt when he got into the ship again, but he’d heal eventually. Raising his claws to dust at them carefully, he didn’t realise Takeshi was addressing him until he caught a side-glance of him, “Huh? Uhhh, me? Uhhh, stay on the ship…?” he repeated, frowning a little, “I, uhh…I-I mean uhh…I mean, it’s probably for the best. I’m not suited for this kind of environment, I know…” He did want to see the city and possibly help, but if there were concerns for his health then maybe it was for the best. Lowering his head, he nodded calmly as he looked around the town centre, “If the people here are okay with it, I suppose the medicine could be picked up…just incase he thinks there’s random people robbing him of his goods. I mean, he sort of noticed me, right?”

They were going to need the shuttle to get to the next city, what was unanimous. Walking that far in this kind of weather would be hell, and flying just wasn't an option either. The ship would both protect them and, hopefully, travel quickly in this sand. Takeshi did worry slightly what having the sand battering the engines might do, but hopefully it was built to withstand inclement weather. Since they were on the way back at any rate he figured he'd offer T'charrl the choice to stay, seeing as how this planet wasn't being all that kind to him right now. While the Kaesstrian agreed he didn't sound enthusiastic, maybe left out. Frowning slightly at his own idea the Saiyan adjusted Shu as they walked, tilting his head down slightly to keep the wind from blowing his hood up. "Yeah, he noticed you alright. He kept looking at you but he didn't say a lot, he knows you're with us at least. But... You know, it would be much safer while flying in the shuttle, and you can still fit inside of it I'd bet. We could land as close as we need to so there wouldn't have to be a whole lot of walking, that way you can come help us still, if you're wanting to." He didn't want to make it seem like T'charrl didn't have options, because he did. Besides, since when did everything that Takeshi said become the rules anyways?

"Either way, we should probably figure out how we want to do this," Takeshi continued, smiling as he glanced over at T'charrl. Now that they had once more left the cover of the city the wind was at full force again, gusting and blowing his hood all over the place. It actually seemed to have died down a bit, though, even if it was still a pain. Maybe by the time they got the shuttle they wouldn't even need it. "We could just run in there and grab whoever we're after, probably. I'm kind of thinking we should do this a little more discretely though. Otherwise we might have a bunch of pissed off aliens coming after us. And I think I have a good idea too." He had to pause briefly as the wind howled around them, drowning out anything that might have been said. This was certainly not something he was going to miss about this planet, that was for sure. Once the wind had settled down Takeshi sighed, freeing a hand to wipe away some sand on his face. "As I was saying... I've got an idea. We were only in this town before, the others might not know us. If Shu and I act like we're with the Saiyans again I bet we can get the guys responsible to come with us, no one would think we're rebels. And if that doesn't work, well, then we can just drag them kicking and screaming if we've gotta."

T’charrl would very much like to go with Takeshi and Shu, but if he was not going to be fit enough for going to this city and seeing what one with a different habitat was like then he had to accept that. It was probably the worst part of being who he was, minus the fact he could barely control his power at the best of times. He was definitely feeling a little trapped without his ancestor’s guidance and his mother’s reassurance, but he was too afraid to contact his mother while he looked like this. He should be of some use if he had to get the medicine with someone, even if it meant going back out in this environment. He really could use a drink of something when he got back to the ship, something to help him settle his mind and help his body heal. Looking to Takeshi, he smiled a little at the mention of the alien, lowering his head again and gave a nod, “I know and I do want to, but maybe it is bad for my health”, he spoke with a sigh, finding it difficult to agree with that statement, “I suppose I’m afraid of letting others down again, like my mother…so many times”.

He shouldn’t be feeling sorry for himself; it was neither the time nor the place to sulk as if he was at home. He was with friends, at least he really hoped they were his friends still, knowing how people changed opinion when someone’s looks changed. Just worrying himself over again, he let out a sigh and nodded quickly, pulling the hood down a little bit to shield his large eyes, “Aghhh…uhh, run in? Charge in?” he questioned him, finding the tactic to be pretty aggressive but probably effective, “It would be wise to think of discretion…or challenge the leader. Might they know who you are?” Letting out a cough when the wind gave him a chance to breathe again, he gave his face a very brief wipe before looking back for a moment, “You think that would work…? What if there’s a uniform?” he asked with a frown, “You said your friend damaged this town once before, right? They might know you from that if you fought him and uhh…you did win, right?”

"It could be bad for your health, I guess, but... So is fighting! And that's never stopped you before," Takeshi said, smirking as he glanced over at T'charrl coyly. "Chasing down the General was bad for your health but you did that. Just saying, that shouldn't stop you. Especially when its so easy to get you healed, you know?" He had been the one to suggest staying back, but seeing the Kaesstrian a bit dejected he was quick to change his stance. Frowning when the conversation took a turn for the depressing the Saiyan looked down at the sand beneath his feet, absentmindedly adjusting Shu on his back. "You haven't let her, or us down. You've been really helpful so far to us, and you'll be a great leader when you get back. So..." he added, looking back up with a grin, "Don't be so hard on yourself. If your mother could see what you were doing now she'd be proud, I bet. How can she be let down when you've gone to so many planets and gotten way stronger than before? Heck, by now I bet no one on Kaesstra can match your strength! And once you change back to your old self you'll start leading as the strongest of your kind!"

They shouldn't dwell on this topic too much, no reason to get themselves upset. Takeshi couldn't just leave it alone though, feeling as though he wasn't near as supportive of their friend as he ought to be. With all the effort he put in to keeping Shu happy the least he could do was keep T'charrl relatively happy. Besides, there were more important things to discuss, chiefly how they were going to apprehend these men, or women, he wouldn't discriminate, that they were after. "Yeah... Kinda figured barging in wasn't really a good idea. It's more my style but... It's anything but discreet." They should plan this out, even if their opponent wasn't exactly someone they were worried about fighting. And for once Takeshi actually had a fairly decent plan, sharing it with T'charrl in hopes of getting some feedback on it. "It could work, and the only uniform Saiyans really had were their armor, and we've got that on the ship still," he pointed out. "If they recognize us... Well then we go with plan B, smash our way in and take the guys by force, if we have to. I mean really, I don't think they can stop us. We're probably putting way more thought into all of this than we need to." Realistically Takeshi very much doubted they would be stopped if they went right in, it was more trying to avoid conflict altogether that they'd try discretion.

T’charrl gave a little smile at Takeshi, soon letting out a sigh, “I nearly died facing the General…and probably would had without certain things happening”, he spoke, shaking his head. If he didn’t change then he would had died, but he didn’t really think it was a good idea either concerning the fact that he was in fact a monster now. It wasn’t as if his people possessed these abilities anymore, so it was not in his best interest to change into this thing. Looking back to Takeshi, he adjusted his sheet a little before shaking his head, “I look like a cave painting from back home”, he spoke, staring down at himself for a moment before back to Takeshi, “Maybe I will be, I mean…the planet’s awfully big and if there are others on my planet who are as strong as me then I would like to meet them. Strength comes from wisdom too, you know. Mother always told me I had to be wise to be a good leader”.

T’charrl didn’t know what he was supposed to feel or whether he was supposed to go ahead with this battle, but he really did want to help even if it was not good for him to be out in this heat. If he could get a break from the heat and sand for just a little bit before going then maybe he would be okay. He was definitely worried and not even for himself, but for his friends who would have to put up with him. He did hope that the ship wasn’t too far now too, the sand was beginning to hurt now, but he was confident he could last long enough until the end of the day. If the plan worked then everything should run along nice and quick and the heat shouldn’t be too much of a problem, especially if they managed to get inside. Frowning a little, he looked down at himself, “I’d never fit into a costume, anyway”, he sighed, shaking his head, “I miss wearing clothes…hmmm. I think best to see what we’re up against is the way to go about it. If anything goes wrong you’ll have an answer, right?”

"I don't think you would have died. I didn't fight the guy, but you had Kai, Choi and Kabocha with you. I don't think that General would have been strong enough to take all four of you down by himself." He could be wrong though, like he said he hadn't fought then. Besides, if things really had taken a turn for the worse the rest of their group wasn't far off, the others could have been there in no time to back T'charrl and the squad up. Their friend's sentiments about finding others like him wasn't bad, but a bit unrealistic. Granted they had only covered a small portion of Kaesstra, but Takeshi didn't recall seeing anyone remotely like T'charrl. If there was someone like him he supposed they wouldn't be out in public too much, probably hiding themselves like their friend tried to do sometimes. "Being wise gives you strength, huh...? That explains a lot," Takeshi mused, grinning as he placed one hand on his chin thoughtfully. "Heh, that would explain why I'm so strong, I've been called wise before by some people... Or was that a wise-ass..." Feeling Shu slipping down on his back the older boy hastily reached back, slinging his arm back under Shu's leg and hoisting him back up again. "Whatever, I'm strong even if I'm not wise."

They really ought to go into this with a little more tact than they typically did. Takeshi didn't want to cause any problems for the Shaharians, though he found it hard to think they could avoid that. They were removing someone from power, someone who had supporters, there was ALWAYS going to be dissent when you did that. They would have to trust that Servas would know how to handle things, maybe he had some kind of solution to appease those loyalists. "We can always get some armor and try sneaking in that way, and if that doesn't work, well we muscle our way in," he mused, glancing over at T'charrl. "Eh? I can probably come up with something on the spot, yeah. It'll be tricky though since Servas wants these people back in one piece. I don't really know how strong Shaharians are, but we might accidentally hurt them without even trying if we're not careful. Plus, they might be weak, but they have knives and things like that, and blades are blades, those hurt." Maybe he'd bring his sword along with him, just as a deterrent. Takeshi still barely understood how to use it, he and Viral had yet to begun their lessons, but the Shaharians didn't know that.

It was a welcome sight, their ship, standing out like a beacon against the otherwise sandy ocean of the desert. Rather than go inside the way they had left the trio went around to the back, over to the bay of their vessel where the shuttle would be docked. The door was, unfortunately, closed right now, meaning they had to get someone to open it from the inside. Takeshi placed Shu back on his feet gingerly, figuring his brother would be okay in the shade of the ship now. Both the sun and the wind were greatly diminished here, so the others should be comfortable enough to wait while he looked for the panel. It was on the far right edge of the massive doors, covered partially in sand and other grime. Dusting it off he found the bridge on the system, putting a call through to it. "Hey, someone in there, open up the hangar will you? We need the ship for something." Some member of the crew ought to be in there, they'd get what they needed. Takeshi stepped away from the panel and returned to the others, and no sooner had he gotten back did the hangar doors begin to slide open for them. As soon as they were open the entire way he hurried over, stepping on inside and pulling off his hood with a complacent sigh. "Wow, it's like 20 degrees cooler just in here. I really hope the ship has AC..."

T’charrl frowned, slowly shaking his head as he pulled down his hood, “They couldn’t manage the energy, so I took it. I couldn’t let it land, otherwise the city would have been left in ruins”, he spoke lowly, “Couldn’t risk it connecting with the planet, otherwise all the energy veins in the surrounding area would overload and explode. You have to be gentle with a planet’s energy or you just cause it harm”. It was all probably going straight over Takeshi’s head, but he still didn’t feel as if it was a victory as such. If that happened again he didn’t know if he could handle it, but maybe this time he would be able to protect the energy elsewhere. He needed to be wise with the energy and couldn’t throw it around recklessly like Takeshi might. Staring at Takeshi, he smiled nervously before letting out a sigh, shaking his head, “I wouldn’t know what you are. Is strength really a matter of brawn? Is it skill? Are you a skilled warrior?”

T’charrl wasn’t too sure about these tactics Takeshi was coming up with, wondering whether it really was unwise for him to go in with them and instead wait in the little ship. If it required them being sneaky then he had no idea how he too would pull it off when he looked more like a pet compared to them. The biggest worry would be the aliens recognising them as the rebels they actually were and completely mobbing them, possibly taking them down like the soldiers on his world did. He didn’t know if these people used poison too, but if they did then they would be in trouble. Frowning at the possibility, he looked to Takeshi, “And you’re absolutely sure you’ll be fine if they use those weapons against you? Maybe you should bring your sword with you”, he suggested, pulling the sheet down a little, “Unless you’re, uhh…not very good at using it yet…then it’s okay. I won’t judge…”

Seeing the ship up ahead was definitely what was needed, the door being the most welcoming sight of them all. He was relieved that he would finally get out of the heat and sand and into shelter. Letting out a sigh, he pulled back his hood a bit as Takeshi put Shu down and tended to the door. While a very interesting planet, it was not going to be one of T’charrl’s ‘must visit again soon’, at least not until he knew when the calmer seasons were around. Feeling anxious about staying outside for too long, the moment the doors opened he let out a relieved sigh, walking in behind a stumbling Shu. That moment was what he was waiting for, finally managing to relax, “That’s so much better…” he sighed, slowly lying down on the floor, “I feel like I’m burning all over…”

Ah, Takeshi hadn't known all about the energy hitting the city. They had sensed some kind of energy while back at the house but no one was quite sure what it had been. Since there was no apparent repercussion to the energy, save that massive tree sprouting, they hadn't really looked into it either. Maybe they ought to when they went back, just to make sure nothing was really wrong. "Gentle with the planet's energy, huh? Well... I've kind of blown big holes in a lot of planets so..." he mumbled, grinning sheepishly, "I guess I haven't been the most gentle." He'd never put stock into believing a planet could feel things, but apparently they could, according to T'charrl. Even before he changed their friend was supposed to be attuned with his own world, and probably every world they had visited since. Takeshi wasn't sure how he felt about that, if he'd want to have such a talent. It might get annoying, having the entire world's consciousness speaking to you, or however this power worked. Plus there were a ton of places that would probably cuss him out til there was no tomorrow for what he'd done to some of them. Yeah... T'charrl could keep that ability.

The ship being in view was the biggest reprieve all day, Takeshi could already feel the cool air inside its walls. Much as he was tempted to just go inside and relax they did have some business to see to first. First they would find something to help Shu's feet, then see if T'charrl could be helped before going back out. They needed the time anyways to figure out exactly what plan they were going with, running in fists flying was a far cry from a strategy. Under the shade of the ship the older boy finally set Shu back on his own feet, sighing contently at being out of the heat of the sun at last. "Of course we'll be fine, probably," Takeshi answered, smiling as he ran a hand through his hair to knock out sand. "They shot Viral with them and they didn't do a whole lot, so I doubt it'll be any different for us. Besides, we're all fast enough to dodge blasts anyways, so we don't even have to worry." The knives were the same way, or whatever bladed weapons the Shaharians might use. So long as they weren't taken by surprise it would be easy to avoid and restrain their attackers. Making a move over towards the panel for the door he stopped in his spot, glancing over his shoulder at T'charrl. "Of c-course I can use it!" Takeshi retorted, turning around and placing his hands on his hips testily. "Just because Viral hasn't trained me doesn't mean I haven't practiced! Just you wait, I'll show you how I can use it!"

Having to get the ship opened up from the inside was a bit of a pain, but thankfully it didn't take that long. Soon as the doors to the hangar had parted the trio hurried into the shelter of the ship, more than happy to be out of the sun and wind. Breathing a sigh of relief Takeshi pulled back his hood, giving it a shaking as well as the rest of his cloak to knock loose any sand. "Yeah, you and me both, T'charrl..." he mumbled, frowning as he gave his clothing a dusting off too. Right, so first things first, they needed to make sure everyone was good to go again. Turning around and seeing the Kaesstrian on the floor and Shu's feet still tender he pretty much figured they were going to need a few moments. Luckily for them there was a small medical bay in the hangar for emergencies, so there was something to help them here. Takeshi looked around to reacquaint himself with the area, spotting the red container on the wall by the control room. Hurrying on over he undid the clasp and threw open the door, finding a bit of disinfectant, some bandages and a bit of medical tape inside. The best they could probably do for now was bandage Shu's feet up, he could soak them in some healing solution later.

"So we've got bandages down here, but there's no water," Takeshi said, stopping between his friend and brother. "If you two are half as thirsty as I am then we need some water. So how about we get patched up, get a drink and take a break, then head out?" It wasn't as though they had to leave this minute, their unsuspecting targets wouldn't be going anywhere. They could probably even take an hour if they wanted, albeit the Saiyan was keen on getting off this atrociously dry planet as soon as possible. Nothing like a perpetual sandstorm to really kill the mood. "Shu, get on your butt so I can fix your feet. I'm thinking we should get you a pair of boots too, just to be safe. As for you..." Takeshi looked in T'charrl's direction, trying to figure out exactly what was wrong with him. There had to be something, his kind were built for this sort of world even less than Saiyans were, and both he and Shu were pretty miserable right now. "What's hurting? I'll try finding something to help it."

Shu’s feet sure were stinging, even after being carried all the way. He did try to keep his feet hidden away from the sand and wind but he didn’t know if they had gotten worse simply from being off them for so long. Walking on his toes into the hanger, he looked to T’charrl when he was finally in before simply sitting on the end of his tail with his legs nearly folded together. Even his tail was sore after that sand hitting it, but its thick hair had shielded it from any damage it might have received. His feet were certainly showing a fair bit of redness now, frowning at the sight of them before he pulled back his hood. He was certainly needing a bath after this, whenever they finished that is. Brushing at his hair, he gave his head a quick shake before suddenly sneezing again, his arm nearly making it to his face this time.

He didn’t mean to sneeze, the sand was ticking his nose a lot, plus it wasn’t as if he expected to get some up his nose. They could use a break from all that sand and heat, not to mention these travelling clothes weren’t all that comfortable. He could do with something to drink and maybe even something to eat just to feel ready to take on this bad alien. Feeling as if he could do with a rest as well, he looked to Takeshi when he approached, tilting his head a little, “Boots? Ooohhh…I don’t like those”, he spoke, lowering down onto his backside, “Is this going to hurt a lot? I’m brave, but not that brave…” He wouldn’t mind just some water to stick his feet in, even if only for a little while, but then again it wasn’t as if he could really walk anywhere without hurting all over.

T’charrl wasn’t too worried about getting hurt or how he might feel; just the floor was nice and cool and would help him in the long run with keeping himself from overheating. He should probably stay there for a little while until he felt like moving again, whenever that might be. This planet was brutal and it was definitely putting him to the test, but he wouldn’t be a very good warrior if he couldn’t accept the challenge. Letting out a sigh, he looked up at Takeshi when he gave him an odd look in return. He didn’t know what he was supposed to do about his problems other than suck it up, proving to be too awkward a being to help. Slowly pushing off the floor, he let out a sigh as he pulled off the make-shift sheet, “I’ll be fine, eventually. Just…let’s not go out in a storm like that again or I might not have skin left”. His fur hadn’t managed to protect his skin from the sand and winds and as a result his skin had been well battered, his main problem being his fur was shielding a lot of the damage. He didn’t care much for pain, he had received a lot worst like when he was tortured, but the damage to his wings had him a little sad. Pulling one around showed it had been practically shredded at the end as if he had been battered around by big paws, “I-I’ll be fine, eventually. I’ll heal…but it’ll be handy if the other city isn’t stormy. I could really use a good sugary drink…”

Perhaps Takeshi was a bit too keen to get this job over with, everyone clearly needed some rest. Even his own self was a bit battered from the storms, his face in particular red and a bit scratched up. If not for his own sake then for the sake of Shu and T'charrl they would wait a little while before venturing outside again. Once they did too some precautions should really be taken, even if they were going to be inside of the ship. A set of shoes to protect Shu's feet, and maybe a bigger 'cloak' to help shield T'charrl from the elements. Should the storms die down then their problems would be solved on their own, but Takeshi wasn't feeling very optimistic in that regard. "I know you don't like boots, but it's better than your feet hurting, isn't it?" he asked, smiling slightly as he began to unravel the bandages. With a fair bit undone he tore it from the bundle, grabbing the disinfectant and some gauze, carefully pouring a bit into the cause to clean his brother's feet. "Yeah, it'll sting a little bit, but we should do this if you've got any cuts. Don't want to get an infection or anything, right? Gotta be careful while we're here, we don't know what's on this planet." That was part of the reason Saiyan ships always held healing tanks, they weren't just for combat injuries. On occasion troops contracted some foreign illness that couldn't be cured otherwise, and Takeshi had seen a few people suffer such a fate. It was best then they make sure Shu was okay.

Holding the damp gauze in one hand he grabbed and held out one of Shu's feet, frowning as he examined it carefully. Red, and a few tiny scrapes here and there, nothing major. All the same however it was a good idea they see to cleaning it, just to be safe. With gentle strokes he began to wipe the sole of Shu's foot clean first, moving onto the sides and subsequently the top of it as well. When the right foot was done Takeshi repeated the motions to the left, being as gentle as possible since it probably stung a fair bit. Other than getting some water and a bit of food Shu should be fine, now there was the matter of helping T'charrl as well. Setting down the bandages the older boy glanced over at their friend, not entirely sure how he would go about bandaging the wings without causing further harm. "That's why we're taking the ship. Believe me, neither of us want to go back out there either," Takeshi said, smirking slightly. Seeing the damage to one of T'charrl's wings he tightened his lips a bit, feeling a bit guilty for having exposed the Kaesstrian to the storm. He would heal, of course, but that didn't mean it didn't hurt. "Sugary drink? Sure thing, I'll get you something too. And some fruit, for both of you." Some water, something sweet and plenty of fruit for the two of them, that was the least that could be done.

"I'll be back in a bit, you two just relax, okay?" Rising to his feet Takeshi glanced down at himself, giving his clothing a final wiping down as he didn't want to drag sand around the place. Content that he was mostly clean the older brother left the hangar in a bit of a hurry, wanting to get everyone what they needed sooner rather than later. He could use a nice good meal himself, but they didn't have time to eat right now. Eh... He'd probably have to settle for some fruit or something, which while not inherently bad was far from what he'd prefer. On top of getting the food he still had to fetch his sword as well, and something new for T'charrl to cover himself in. If he remembered right he had left his sword with Viral, which meant he'd have to go ask the Beastman for it. "Great... And he'll probably be a pain about it..." Takeshi grumbled to himself, sighing as he rubbed at his head. T'charrl had brought it up and was right, he still didn't know how to use the sword very well. He'd trained a little bit with it but had hardly learned anything new, and it was probably wrong even.

Shu didn’t want to have to put on shoes, knowing he wasn’t as effective at moving around or walking, plus they felt weird and unnatural to him. T’charrl’s feet looked not too bad and he was barefooted, but his weren’t as soft and squishy as his own. Frowning at Takeshi, he sighed when he was told that it would be the only way to go, of course not feeling too happy with it, “I guess so…but I won’t be very good at fighting and stuff”, he sighed, looking to his feet, “I don’t want to get anything bad! It won’t hurt much, right?” He didn’t want to have to be squirming and unable to walk because his feet were still stinging, but he was prepared for trying to put up with it. He had been put through a lot in the past so pain wasn’t anything new, but he was not going to have an easy time with that. Holding up one foot for Takeshi to take, he closed his eyes and squeaked when he was gradually cleaned up, his toes straining at the pain. It was certainly a sore experience, but he still lifted up his other foot for him to clean and letting him wipe it without too much trouble.

T’charrl knew there wasn’t much that could be done about him and his problems other than maybe a full wash later on. He was just too big to be treated properly and too awkwardly shaped, knowing those little bandages wouldn’t be able to help him out as much as they’d help Shu. Frowning at the state of his wings, he looked back to Takeshi, “Yeah, if there’s no wind and sand then I should be fine, I think”, he spoke calmly, feeling slightly hopeful. If there was a moment where he wished they’d wait for a time like sunrise when it was possibly not too cold or too hot quite yet, but he knew Takeshi would probably want to go as soon as possible anyway. He didn’t know how long the planet’s day was compared to what he was used to, but he knew Takeshi would get impatient before then. Giving a little smile, he nodded at Takeshi as he confirmed their desires while hoping it wouldn’t be too much of a problem for him, “Alright, thank you…and umm, take your time. I’m not going to do anything in the meantime…”

Takeshi was far from a medical expert, only having gotten minimal instruction during his time with their father. At the very least he knew how to apply bandages, which finally was coming in handy with Shu. Really the younger Saiyan's feet weren't bad, they looked worse just because they were irritated from walking in the desert. A few scrapes and some abrasion was all the damage Shu's feet took, but just to be safe they were going to be covered up. "It's going to sting when I clean them, but they'll feel better afterwards," he told his brother, smiling reassuringly. Plus, when all was said and done they could go and take a cool bath, that would help his sibling's feet a lot. Having successfully patched each foot up Takeshi gave T'charrl a glance, not too sure he could do anything for their friend. "Traveling in the ship will be a lot nicer. Plus we can move quicker in that, a hundred kilometers will pass by in minutes." All the more reason for them not to be in a hurry then, they could get to their destination fast enough with the shuttle. Gathering the rest of the medical supplies in his arms Takeshi got back to his feet, opting to go find them something to eat before leaving. "Don't mention it, I'll get us something, you two just relax." Only fair he went to get the food and drinks, he had to fetch his sword anyways. Having to ask Viral for it in spite of not being trained yet, that was probably going to take some convincing.

Leaving the medical supplies on a nearby shelf Takeshi left the hangar, deciding first to go find the Beastman. It would be easier to just strap his sword on his back and carry the rest, otherwise it'd be awkward having to carry that food with him back and forth. Hm... Now where was Viral going to be at this time of day anyways? He knew that the guy and Vegeta were training a lot as of late, so he might be down in the training hall, or one of them. Either that or Viral would be in his room, hopefully alone so it'd be a quick visit. Vegeta would want to be filled in on the situation and Yumi would be asking about Shu and T'charrl, he didn't have the patience for that right now. "First Viral's room... Then the halls..." Takeshi told himself, nodding. The sound of a grumbling stomach made a small grin spread across his face, and with a glance downwards he gave his stomach a patting. "And some food, definitely some food." Picking up the pace he broke into a jog, hurrying along the corridor to his friend's room. A few brief moments later and he'd found the place, door closed and possibly unlocked. Coming to a halt outside Takeshi smiled hopefully, rasping his knuckles against the steel door a bit loudly so he'd be heard. "Hey, Viral? You in there?"

Viral had been fair busy as of late and really pushing it, knowing he didn’t have much time before he had to face his greatest challenge yet. It was all proving very difficult and strenuous on his body, but he was willing to keep going despite feeling the pain and worn down from these training sessions. He could handle it, he knew he could, but when it came time for a rest from all of that Vegeta had been pretty stern in telling him to do so and he had no choice and could only agree to it. He didn’t want to rest or feel the need to, but he was mentally and physically strained and needed to spend some time resting. He managed to strain his arm which meant it was time to call it quits for now. With everyone either taking a break or resting, things had been quiet enough for the Beastman to try and doze off, possibly even find peace for once.

Despite trying to find a moment of peace, even before Takeshi came and knocked on his door he was finding it hard to do just that. His body was struggling to settle down even though it was obviously pretty tired because his mind was all over the place. He felt like he couldn’t find a balance between relaxing and being tired. Lying on his back in his bed, he stirred and rolled slightly before letting out a sudden gasp as Takeshi smacked his knuckles against the door, sitting up immediately. He very much almost jumped straight out of bed in a hurry if it wasn’t for his arm buckling up, his hand immediately grabbing onto it before he let out a sigh. So much for Takeshi being out, but what the hell did he want now and from him of all people to come to his room.

Slowly rubbing his face, he let out a groan and slowly getting out of bed, straightening the blanket up slowly. This was most definitely annoying and he could definitely slap Takeshi for disturbing him when he could had easily asked someone else. Growling lowly, he rubbed his sore head and opened up the door slowly, glaring at him, “What do you want? Can’t you see I’m busy?” he snapped at him, looking out at the corridor briefly, “And no lizards?”

Takeshi almost wanted to forgo getting his sword altogether, after all he could certainly fight without one. The only reason he was grabbing it now was to save face in front of T'charrl after having said he could use it. If he returned empty handed then his friend would know he couldn't wield the weapon properly still and he'd look like an idiot. Then again... If they got into a fight and he swung it around utterly clueless then that would give it away too. Eh, whatever, he was already on his way to Viral's so there was no reason to change course now. The only real question was whether or not the Beastman would let him take it along with them. Viral was a real stickler about being respectful to one's blade, the way of the sword or something like that. It was fine and all for him, but Takeshi had a hard time buying into it. Seeing a weapon as anything but that was a stretch, maybe he just wasn't open-minded enough for it. Having expressed a desire to learn though maybe Viral would cut him a break and allow it, for some impromptu training. Or... He could slam the door in his face and tell him to sod off.

Viral's door was closed when Takeshi arrived, but it wasn't clear if it was locked or not. Since he really didn't want to barge in and get bit or something he thought it best to not barge in and instead knock... Loudly. Well if the guy was asleep then being quiet wouldn't help anything, now would it? Stepping back a bit from the door just in case it took but a brief moment for the Beastman to answer, not surprisingly seeming rather annoyed. "Uh... Well your door was closed, so... No, I couldn't see anything actually," Takeshi answered, smirking as he scratched at his nose. Realizing he was only going to infuriate his friend the Saiyan dropped both hands at his side, wiping the smile from his face quickly. "Nope, no lizards. The Shaharians can't spare people, but they're giving us medicine and some tools we can probably use. But uh... Before they give us those there's kind of a catch. There's some of them who liked the Saiyan rule and want it back, and I guess they're probably causing problems. So Servas, that is, the shaman we met before asked us to deal with it, so we are."

"The reason I came to see you is... I was hoping I could get my sword." Giving a meek smile Takeshi pressed his hands together in a pleading gesture, bowing his head politely as well. "Pleeeeease? I really want to try using it in a fight, and I told T'charrl I know how! I can't go back empty handed, I'll look like an idiot!" Most likely the need to use his sword would never come to pass, he sincerely doubted the Shaharians would be foolish enough to attack them. Then again he hadn't thought the Kaesstrians would attack them either and those people had nearly killed them. Glancing up at Viral hopefully, Takeshi stepped closer, throwing an arm around the Beastman's shoulders and gently punching the closer shoulder with a smile. "Come oooon, we're friends right? And friends help each other out, like giving them their sword! I swear I'll be careful with it, and I'll only use it if I really have to."

Viral didn’t know why Takeshi had decided to come to him, the only reason that came to him was Takeshi couldn’t find anyone else and he was desperate for something that was locked up. What a pain, this would cut into his relaxation time. The kid was supposed to be out all day getting these aliens to come with them and having him come back with nothing was just annoying, meaning he had failed or went out there to catch up with the locals. Glaring at him, he narrowed his gaze as he attempted to be funny about it, “You know I am very busy…” he spoke lowly, “You are disrupting that tight schedule by being here…” It was such a bother and Takeshi barely seemed phased by it and as frustrated as he was he restrained himself from shutting the door on him, the absence of the lizards being more of a nuisance than this was.

Despite his reaction, he wasn’t surprised that the aliens here were unable to fight. When he was taking them away for the Saiyans they were destined to be labourers with only a few to be soldiers, rarely did they go beyond that. Medicine and ‘some tools’ was hardly a replacement for potential staff or soldiers. With Takeshi giving his excuse, he groaned lowly upon hearing about some of the Shaharians causing problems. He didn’t see a reason for him to come here if that was the case, he could had gone off and taken care of them himself by now. If Takeshi was going to ask him to help with it then too bad, he was too tired and his arm hurt.

Viral was close to closing the door on Takeshi for wasting his time, especially when he should be going out and doing that job if he was to get anything out of these aliens, but sure enough he was actually here with reason which was to get his sword. Looking away for a minute, he sighed before looking back to Takeshi, looking pretty annoyed at him. Even after him asking for lessons and never taking any, he still wanted to use his sword for showing off. Of course he only said that to make him happy; he didn’t want lessons in reality. Moving a claw over the close button, he stiffened up when Takeshi stepped forward and wrapped an arm around his shoulders. Glaring at him, he gasped when he punched his shoulder, raising his claws up to it before giving Takeshi a push, “You only call me that when you want your own way! Since when have you talked to me other than to get something from me?” he snapped at him, trying to step back, “A weapon isn’t just for showing off…and what if you had to use it? Could you parry another blade? What if you get attacked from behind? Why should I give it if you just want to show off?”

Sure, Takeshi knew that Viral was busy, but so was everyone else. Every one of them had a lot on their plates right now with all this business about war and whatnot, Viral wasn't the only one being pressed for time. The fact that he had made the trip out here to grab his sword was a waste as it was, there really wasn't time to be standing around chatting. Smiling despite being glowered at the Saiyan nodded his head, itching at his nose while trying to peer into the room for his weapon. "I know you are, I was kidding, I am too. Which is why if we want to get back to our schedules I need your help." More precisely, he needed his sword. Hopefully Viral didn't expect to be asked to come along, though Takeshi didn't exactly mind it if the Beastman did. If he and Shu couldn't intimidate the Shaharians properly then surely an ex-commander could. With the way his friend seemed at the moment however the chances of him going on any sort of trip were slim to none. Well then probably best not to beat around the subject any longer.

Throwing an arm around Viral's shoulders he smiled, giving him a friendly jab in the shoulder as well. "So listen, I kind of need my sword for this job. I'll be extra careful and won't use it unless I have to, I promise. So how about letting me take it, huh? Come on friend, give me a hand here." Maybe that was laying it on a bit too heavily, as Takeshi was pushed away pretty quickly after having asked for his blade. Viral wasn't buying into his request whatsoever, pretty much being as opposed to the suggestion as one could be. Smiling nervously Takeshi held his hands up in a defensive gesture, chuckling softly. "Hey now, that's not true! You're my friend and you know it! So we butt heads now and again, that doesn't mean we're not friends," he replied, watching as the Beastman stepped away. Damn it, and there he was being called out too about showing off, how annoying. Doing his best to remain friendly the Saiyan shook his head, stepping forward with a small smile. "I'd block it, what else? I know how to parry, its basically blocking! I'm not that hopeless with it!" He'd seen Viral use his cleaver dozens of times, it couldn't be all that hard, even for a novice like him. "Tell you what. Give me the sword, and then ask T'charrl how I did later! He knows how to use one, so he'll be able to tell you if I was any good. If I was bad then I won't use it again until we have our lessons, deal? Pleeeease?"

Viral was not convinced on Takeshi’s plight for his blade, seeing it as him using it as a toy once more. He just wasn’t going to give the sword any respect and that really angered the Beastman, especially after asking for lessons and never going for them. The sword was just used for showing off and Takeshi was too stubborn to go without it if that really was the case, obvious by the way he was trying to sweet-talk him into giving it to him. His actions really didn’t help other than managing to make him uncomfortable and a little bit anxious that he was getting a little too comfortable with being that close. Getting him to back off was the first phase, but getting him to listen was probably going to be even harder, “You say that, but what have you ever done for me? You don’t pay attention to me unless you want something”, he told him, rubbing his shoulder, “I don’t remember you ever having a casual conversation with me…”

If Takeshi was wanting the blade to show off then he wasn’t going to let him have it, especially when it could end up broken, stolen or dumped because it was of ‘no use’ to Takeshi anymore. It was a respectable blade, but Takeshi wouldn’t give it any of that despite how many people it’s possibly slain. It was in the hands of a vicious General and of course he would have used it, especially against the underground natives. Giving him a fairly solid glare, he grumbled as he shook his head when Takeshi tried to explain his simply storyline tactics, “A parry isn’t the same as blocking, but you’d know that if you ever took lessons with me”, he spoke simply, stepping back a bit, “You’ll probably dump the blade because you can’t use it…I can see it. I wouldn’t need to ask that bug anything because the look on your face says it all. If you can’t tell, I’m not convinced by your words. Just admit you’re barely interested in using it just because you’ve never seen another Saiyan use one and feel embarrassed to because it’s ‘inferior to Ki’…”

Takeshi had been told repeatedly, by both Vegeta and Yumi alike to try getting along better with Viral. They clashed too much, both of them had said, and they shouldn't be since they were allies. Well he was trying his best but pleasantries were getting him nowhere fast, regardless of how sincere he tried to sound. Man this was annoying, here he was trying to be the good guy and the Beastman was just blocking him at every turn. Nevertheless he kept that smile on his face, however strained it may be now, and continued to push the subject. "You've never asked me for anything, but I'd do it if you did," he said, giving a nod of his head. "I wouldn't turn you away, you know. Just because I haven't done anything for you doesn't mean I won't. A-And that's not true, I don't only come to you when I want something!" Was it? He'd never paid much mind to that, it could be right. Eh, whatever, he wasn't going to dwell on it too much. The casual conversation part Takeshi knew was true, but no way that was his fault. He'd tried talking to Viral plenty of times, the guy never was interested in it. Why should he bother going the extra mile when all he got was the cold shoulder?

The glare was a definitive sign that his request was denied, Viral wouldn't budge from his stance. At last the smile waned from Takeshi's lips as he instead adopted an all too familiar look of annoyance, folding his arms over his chest. "I never took lessons because you're busy training, and I don't want to make you stop that to train me!" If the Beastman spent all his time with sword training then he'd never get stronger, meaning they wouldn't be able to fight again. The Saiyan wouldn't say that outright but his expression was evident enough that he disliked the idea. Being called out in the way he was made Takeshi's face redden in a mixture of anger and embarrassment, puffing himself up slightly before putting a fist in Viral's face. "Listen now, I'm not saying a sword is inferior or anything, don't put words in my mouth! I want to learn how to use it, I asked you for lessons, so where do you get this idea I don't care?" He cared plenty, they were just too busy to do lessons yet. The only other person he might turn to for swordsmanship would be T'charrl, and he wasn't sure how capable their friend would be in his bulky state.

"Look... If you're actually willing to train me, then train me! I'm ready to learn whenever Viral, just tell me when and where and I'll be there!" He just wanted to use his sword, was that such a bad thing? Takeshi figured he never should have agreed to the stipulation of leaving his sword with Viral, somehow he knew it'd be a pain in the butt later. Sighing softly he stepped back from the door a bit, pacing for a brief moment before glancing over at Viral impatiently. "Come on, just let me have it, we won't even be gone that long. I already said I won't just swing it around whenever I feel like it. And how else am I going to learn if you never let me actually use the sword?"

Viral was not convinced, even if Takeshi was trying to win him over with an innocent smile. He didn’t understand the problem with giving his sword over at all, he couldn’t look passed any of his faults and why it was a bad idea to take a sword to a fight when you were untrained. If an opponent had a blade they’d want to use it and the dishonour would be great if no battle was to come of it and the warrior was simply blasted away. Takeshi couldn’t get it through to his head that if he was stabbed then he would be incapacitated and unable to get his brother or his friend back to the ship which would cause problems for all of them. Takeshi just wasn’t thinking like that and simply saw it as an inconvenience, even if he should know after being stabbed in several places by a bunch of bugs and saw the damage a sword did to him as well.

The excuse for no training was a bit of a lame one, especially when the same type of training can become stale very quickly, “You could have asked at any time…and you know that!” he growled lowly, shaking his head, “You think I want to keep doing the same thing over and over again??” His training really was going nowhere fast and the same failures were striking him continuously, even if it was important. He could have used a break from that strenuous training and yet Takeshi didn’t think to ask him for one, probably because he couldn’t be bothered. Standing his ground, he only pulled back when Takeshi made a movement and coming fairly close to hitting him if he moved forward. Looking to his fist, he raised a paw to try and slap it, “By not even asking to see it beyond wanting to show it off! Do you even remember what it looks like?”

This was just annoying now, him coming up here just to use his sword for show. If he didn’t have it he was sure he would be off with his brother and friend swinging it around like an idiot. Looking off towards the blade, he stared at it for a moment before back to Takeshi as he once again started pleading for it. Narrowing his gaze, he let out a huff and moved slightly to the side, “Howabout learning now...see if you can parry like you so claim…” he spoke lowly, pointing in casually, “If you can get passed me with it, I’ll let you have it for your fight and for ‘showing off’…I’ll even go one-handed to give you a chance”.

Takeshi was, to put it lightly, annoyed. It was his sword after all, why did he even have to ask Viral for it? Sure, he'd agreed to let the Beastman keep it as part of their agreement, but what was stopping him from just storming in and taking it? Some sore guy who probably wouldn't be much of an obstacle, that's who. He knew that would only end badly though, he had to keep his anger in check if he wanted to get his blade. Gritting his teeth tightly he raised a fist in the Beastman's face, trying to convey just how badly he needed the sword. "Vegeta told us not to interrupt the training, and I figured you'd want us to stay out of it! If you told me to come by whenever then I would have, but you never said that! And you're not exactly the most forthcoming person I know, so sorry if I hesitate to ask." So much for keeping his anger in check, now he was shouting. Releasing a loud sigh of discontent he folded his arms over his chest, huffing before turning his head away after his hand was slapped. "Of course I remember what it looks like," Takeshi replied indignantly, looking back at Viral, "How would I not know what my own sword looks like? Come on, just give me it already, I'll be fine."

So was he or wasn't he going to get his weapon? Takeshi saw Viral glance back at the blade for a moment and he was hopeful his friend was contemplating giving it over. What the Beastman had to say however made him sulk in rejection, narrowing his eyes and looking at Viral unamused. "So you want an untrained novice to spar against a master swordsman... That's what I'm getting..." he grumbled, sighing as he hung his head and closed his eyes. "Great... Well fine, if I have to do that so you'll give me my own weapon then I'll do it. Parrying can't be all that difficult after all." Parrying was... What exactly? He'd heard the term before somewhere and was positive he'd seen people do it in combat, Viral especially. It wasn't the same as blocking, but he thought it was similar. Darn it, he was going to be made out like a fool wasn't he? If he had to dance to Viral's tune to get his sword he'd do it, given no other choice. Extending a waiting hand out Takeshi smiled expectantly, cocking his head to the side in his usual arrogant manner. "Let's see it then. I'll show you I can do this, then you'll have no choice but to give it to me."
