@Kimiyosis, sorry but I believe we are filled to capacity right now. Terminal was right in that one of our players, themerlinhawk dropped out, but we accepted Whoami in his place.

"Erm, excuse me Ma'am," the man said in what was apparently supposed to be a pleasant voice, "You wouldn't have happened to have seen a pair of younglings come in here, have you? Blonde hair, just below the shoulder in height?"
Somebody Who Is Obviously a Charity-Run Orphanage Headmaster
"Yes, they just came in a few moments ago and hid behind that counter. Discipline them better, young'ns have no business being in a bar!"
Helen
Thus began the sordid tale of the twins Oliver and Achalasia, whose hereditary alcoholism and pyromania resulted in the Meduzart Fire, leading to the inevitable victory of the Varisie empire over the Western City States. It was widely agreed by all: Society was to blame.

Unlikely, but nice try Terminal. :p Helen's more of the instinctive motherly type and rather observant. If anything she would likely send Ignis over there and play two way radio, playing time until she could figure out what's going on before making rash decisions. But, you can keep dreaming by all means. XD

I'm leaving town today. I wont be able to post but I can still read the new ones as they come in. I will be back on Sunday and posting normally after Monday. I give Vietmyke permission to auto-play Ryza and Oni so the plot can progress with Ryza still relevant in all the happenings around her. Enjoy!

@ Myke, after your post, I'll have Helen get up and make her way to the Serpentine shortly. Both to sear his wound close then bandage it and check on the twins. Originally Sira was called out to prevent any injury (in essence blinding them both) but since Rtron already posted it and I decided it wasn't that big, I told him not to change it. Her bag will likely be behind the counter so can I have the bartender give it to her?

I had to get caught up on the scene and naturally Myke had to approach Helen shortly afterwards so...can't really ignore the GM post. :P Besides, the guy pulled a blade on him and as far as she's concerned, he can bleed a little to remember Never, repeat, NEVER give Eli any notice. Also, Eli's not off her shit list. She's going to be patching him up later without any painkillers unlike the Serpentine.

Quick talk about money and currency! - Because I don't think I have yet While several cities in the West have their own gold-backed paper currency, there is no widely accepted 'paper' currency throughout the City States. A "5 gold bill" from Meduzart may not have the same worth as a "5 gold bill" from New Eden. On the other hand, Varisie Currency is a coin based currency commonly accepted throughout most of the world. There are 2 main types of coins in Varisie currency: Varisie Minor - Also referred to as plainly 'Minor' or 'Min' for shorthand. Varisie Minor is the most common coin found, its a silver coin about the size of an American quarter, and is imprinted with a sword sigil. These coins buy most lesser goods: meals, mid-end drinks, low-end clothing, low-quality tools can commonly be purchased for a few Minor. Varisie Major - Also referred to as plainly 'Major' or 'Maj' for shorthand. Varisie Major is a common coin, a gold piece about the size of an American half-dollar, and is imprinted with the likeness of Emperor of the Varisie Empire during its creation- as such, older coins have different faces on them than newer coins, and the oldest of coins don't have faces on them at all. These coins buy most goods: high quality drinks, nice clothing, weapons, and tools can go for a Major or more. More expensive goods- smallships, high-end weapons and opulent clothing can cost upwards of 50 or more Major. A Major is worth 20 Minor. There are also 2 less common coins used in Varisie currency: Varisie Lesser - Referred to as "coppers" or "coins". Varisie Lesser are quarter sized coins made of copper. They are used more commonly among slums and poorer places, and can be used to by the most meager of items- pieces of bread, scraps, and watered down ale. Though it is an official piece of Varisie currency, most Varisie Lesser is taken and melted down by scientists, alchemists, and tinkerers, who find copper useful for more than just monetary purposes. 10 coppers is worth a single Minor. Varisie Greater - Referred to as "Greater" or "Gems". Varisie Greater is an uncommon coin, mostly due to its high value, and the intricacies required to actually make them- as such, most Varisie Greater are only circulated within major cities of the Varisie empire. Greater coins are about the size of an American Half dollar, and appear as a thin ring of gold, with a flat, blue-white gem in the center making up the majority of the coin. These coins are used for the same purpose as Major and are typically used for the most valuable of goods- airships, mansions, and other high priced goods. A Varisie Greater is worth 10 Major. --- This will come in handy with my next post, as the thugs will now attempt to bribe Helen- because things are obviously going so well for them.

Aren't they at least a little nervous by the sound of the man with an unconscious and bloody body next to him loading a gun, the man who obviously preferred to be alone and people preferred to leave him alone walking towards Eli, and essentially the tension in the room skyrocketing and being focused on THEM? :p

Well, if they're honest johns, maybe they still have a job to do. For all we know about them they're just a group of greenhorns tasked to bring back some kids for cheap. Now why anyone would pay 4 random armed men to do this, money is the knly awnser.

Kuro, at least, is going to refrain from using his grenades since using explosives in a confined space full of nominal allies is generally frowned upon. Otherwise, he is aiming to murder them in the quickest and most efficient way possible. If any /happen/ to be alive afterwards, they can go on their way* after answering* a few* questions*. Mining golem or not, I'd keep out of the crossfire killbox. The space they occupy is very shortly going to be filled with bullets, heavy fog, bullets, lightning, bullets, fireballs, bullets, eldritch flux, bullets, throwing knives, bullets, arrows, and bullets. It will not be the friendliest or most conducive of environments for a pugilist.

Harvey's current robotic body is suppose to be able to handle random heavy stuff falling on him, bullets shouldn't be too much of an issue. At the very least, bullets are less of an issue for him than it is for all the other fleshy humans around him. And if he needs range, he could use his rocket punches, or throw something.

They're part of the plot- for a very short amount of time. Until I say otherwise these mooks have plot armor Or I mean, most of them are mooks, the blonde one who talks is a bit less of a mook.

I am sure everyone will be quite fastidious and meticulous in their avoidance of explicitly describing anything that happens to their actual bodies/personages, even as the very air around them spontaneously combusts. >.>

I am unsure how to proceed, primarily for the reason that I'm pretty sure most of the characters and spirits in the bar wouldn't have just sat still and let the boy grab the rifle, jump over the counter, fire it, let Walkins dust himself off, briefly chortle and be warned by Alan, and then do a mask flourish while summoning a spirit. I'm pretty sure either Kuro or Eli would have shot him in the face somewhere in the middle of that sequence of events. Several times. Or one of Helen's/Eli's spirits would have done something. I am also somewhat skeptical that Eli let Pierce take the rifle at all. It's something of an ontological disconnect. I'm not actually objecting to the post since what's done is done, but our characters aren't inanimate furniture. I'm just saying I'm sure there are plenty of ways to advance the scene/plot without locking out our characters' efficacy during a cutscene, yeah? Am I alone in that preconception? I'm not trying to cause an upset; I'm just saying that the way the scene has been set up has precluded any action that my character, at the very least, could take. It makes it difficult for me as a narrator to reply. Also, Lucius' url is broken.
