Personality Traits: Sweet and gentle, Elise shows a kindness to all those she believes that she can trust or call friend, allowing them to see the comfort and love that most would describe as being more like that of a mother caring for her child. Optimistic and quite dreamy, the young woman occasionally comes off as being a very carefree individual, showering those she loves with both the attention and affection she believes that they deserve. A very multi-talented person, Elise can be quite persuasive leading her to be very influential to those around her. Though loyal to only a few, Elise has issues when it comes to trusting others, both causing her see this as both a weakness and a strength.

Also brave, selfless, extremely resourceful and highly intelligent, Elise has a very strong and independent survivalist instinct fueled by her difficult past causing her to be quite good at thinking outside the box. Very strong, often stubborn and unwittingly determined, Elise will most times act first before asking questions later, the woman learning from her past that she needs to do whatever she can to survive though she has a base instinct to protect those who are weak and have no skills or methods in which to protect themselves. Usually a very logical person, Elise sometimes has trouble controlling her emotions when things become quite stressful around her; this at times causing her to become quite dangerous.

Unlike most who are forced into surviving on their own, Elise is not a natural born healer, becoming quite squeamish and reluctant when it comes to tending her own and the wounds of others around her, instead choosing to focus on things that she deems more important such as expanding her knowledge base by reading and honing her skills by training and sparring with whomever feels they can take her on. Nevertheless, she knows the basics of first aid, including how to clean and dress a wound to keep it from getting infected and in turn the person getting worse over time.

A fiercely determined and resourceful fighter, Elise is easily underestimated by those who stand against her and almost always finds herself in some sort of disagreement with those in positions of authority, using her own resources when it comes to getting through life, showing that she has the true instincts of a survivor. Though seeming confident and calm in most situations she is forced into, Elise has a nasty habit of biting her nails whenever she gets nervous or anxious, sometimes having to force and consciously stop herself from doing so when she is in the company of others.

A vicious little thing when she's pushed far enough, Elise is known for being tough, not only being able to take a physical beating, but mentally as well though her conscience does sometimes tend to get in the way. With her stubbornness and her determination to get things done, Elise is extremely strong-willed, rarely changing her stance on something once she has set her mind to it causing many to waste their breath when they try to convince her otherwise. Quick to call others out on their behavior and actions, her own emotions (when running high) tend to cause the young woman to be both foolish and irrational, leading her into situations that she rarely thinks about first. Stubborn as an ox and more hot headed than most living in the compound, Elise is unafraid to speak her mind, and when mixed with her anger and frustration sometimes causing her to unknowingly lash out at whoever is on the receiving end of the young womans wrath.

A brave girl at heart, Elise isn't afraid to take jump into action, the reckless girl willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done, even if it means putting her own life on the line. Known as a major risk taker and driven by the thought of money lining her pockets, Elise has a love of racing, the teenagers skills on a motorbike and behind the wheel of a car unmatched by any other that she has faced on the streets of the city. Growing up in a family with very little to their name, she learnt quickly to become a fighter in all senses of the word, in order for her to live and survive everything that life and everyone in it had to throw her way, once (a long time ago) believing that even in the toughest of situations there was a bigger force that had a plan for her and all those she cares for. Immensely protective over her family, Elise tends to take any threats against them with a severity like no other, willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that they are safe, well looked after and have everything in life that they could possibly need.

Skills: An extremely intelligent young woman, Elise has a knack for researching, able to recall almost every piece of information that she has ever read. A great strategist, she uses her talents well and when called upon, catching any flaws in the plans that others tend to more times than none, run by her. Mentally stronger than most and with a peak of durability, it shows that disease and illness rarely affect her in any way, allowing her to keep her keen senses sharp and ready to use at a moments notice.

A skilled climber, parkour enthusiast and a fast runner, Elise has a great reflexes, especially when it comes to handling a gun; her good speed and excellent flexibility allowing her to pull her weapon and strike down several targets in a quick amount of time. Quite skilled with weapons of all kinds, Elise prefers the feel of blades to most others that are available for her use, though with the choice at hand she will always chance a pistol and daggers above all other weapons at her disposal.

Abilities:
Shadow/ Darkness Manipulation - Elise has the ability to create, shape, and manipulate both the shadows and darkness that seem to follow her where she goes, allowing her to cloud almost everything into complete and utter darkness whenever she feels the situation calls for such a thing. Able to use her abilities to not only create both an absence of light as well as a solid substance, she is able to successfully use these techniques in a number of different ways, such as: creating and dispelling cover and area's of total darkness, and teleporting herself and others through massive distances via these shadows.

*Though Elise is quite powerful when it comes to her shadow manipulation, she is unable to teleport either herself or others outside of the country she is in at that present time.

Soul Manipulation - Along with being able to manipulate shadows and darkness, Elise possesses the unique power of soul manipulation causing her to act sort of like a magnet for the souls of those who have passed away; the souls following along behind her where ever she goes and protecting her from anything she deems to be a threat. Though most of the time they are fueled by her emotions, whenever Elise gets pushed too far she is able to control each and every action made by the souls in her possession, even to the point where she is able to use them in order to slowly and painfully rip a soul from a living being (earning her the nick-names Reaper and Death).

*Though Elise is has these abilities she is not proud of them, believing the souls that are following her to be "demons" sent by God to condemn her to the depths of hell. When fueled by her emotions (mostly negative emotions such as: sadness, grief, depression, anger, ect.) Elise can tell what she is doing is wrong, however most of the times she is unable to stop herself without some help from others she trusts.

Other: Raised by her family as a very religious person, Elise owns two crosses that were given to her by her family. The first a simple cross that was given to her at a young age which she wears around her neck each and every day, and the second a set rosary beads which she keeps locked away in her apartment, the beads passed down to her by her mother before her untimely death. Though she keeps them with her and handy, Elise has lost all faith, believing that God has forsaken her she no longer worries about things such as religion and now only keeps these items for sentimental value.

After being found out in the streets of the city and taken in by Desmond, Elise joined the rebel cause and once she moved into The Pit with the other mutants she began collecting tattoos; one on her lower right back with the one on her right shoulder blade joining into it, one on the left hand side of her rib-cage, a small one on her left collar-bone, and one just behind her ear.

Appearance:


Personality Traits: Warwick is a very carefree person, with him deciding at an early age that the best thing to do was block out all the trauma of life and be free and happy all the time. This led to him never really taking responsibility for himself until fairly recently when he was outed as a mutant. While still retaining his "party" attitude, when it comes to the task at hand he is very dedicated, although Warwick still manages to make the occasional quip from time to time.

Abilities: Warwick has the ability to teleport himself, the clothes he is wearing, and within limits, any additional mass in contact with him. Warwick is only able to teleport to places within his vision or if he has been or knows of the exact location beforehand. The longer the distance over which he teleports, the harder and more exhausting it is for him to make the "jump". This also applies if he constantly teleports within a short amount of time, as he needs to rest.

Skills: While not really qualifying as a skill, Warwick is able to still use his abilities to some degree of accuracy even while intoxicated. A more important skill would be how Warwick is fairly adept at pyrotechnics, with him able to easily create small-scale handmade explosives (if he has all the materials needed at hand that is!)

Biography:
Warwick had a fairly bad childhood, with his father often beating Warwick or his mother. When he was five, his father returned home and again in his rage savagely beat Warwick's mother, accidentally killing her. With his mother dead and father in jail, he was sent to live with his aunt and uncle where he spent the next few years in a docile state due to what had happened. When he was 12 however, Warwick decided that the best thing he could do was move on and just stop worrying with life. His grades quickly dropped in school, although the boy didn't care, with him spending a lot of his school days playing hooky and wandering the streets.

He was 13 when his abilities manifested, although fortunately he managed to keep them hidden. He decided after seeing a mutant-rights riot broken up on the news that revealing himself to the world probably wasn't the best idea. Barely managing to stay in school, Warwick decided to participate a bit more with his work, while at the same time finding time to party and relax at the weekends. It was at one of these parties however that he was outed as a mutant, after teleporting while drunk in front of everyone. With everyone realizing he was a mutant, Warwick managed to flee his home with anything he needed, "jumping" away as SWAT officers raided his home.

After a few days on the streets, Warwick fell into a mutant gang, using his abilities to partake in riots and rebellion against the government. It was here that he was taught pyrotechnics, with the young mutant blowing up several *insert anti-mutant government name* facilities. Obviously though he made sure that there were no innocent people at these places before destroying them.

His days with this group soon ended, with their safehouse being raided. He barely managed to escape with his life, transporting a few people out with him.

Warwick soon found his way to the Pit, where he quickly found refuge, retaining his party-like attitude in the mutant community.

Personality Traits: Louie doesn't pick a side. In anything, ever, never will. He always does what he thinks is right, whether in reality it be wrong or not. He's generally a caring person, though, and would do anything for a friend. He's been criticized by people for it, saying he's a suck-up and such, but he shuts them out.

He's always had a darker side of thinking, so what's right to him could be absolutely infuriating to another. It all depends on who he's with, what he's doing, and what kind of mood he is in.

Louie's a very brave person, always willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. But, being that brave has it's problems. He often takes very risky chances, even if it's gambling on his own life.

Abilities: With a lot of concentration, he's able to wipe your memory of him.

Skills: Skilled with small guns, and has a fancy for old-England type revolvers. Usually keeps one on him wherever he goes. Very fast, and next to silent when he runs.

Biography:
When Louie was little, he could never understand peoples' ways of doing things. This made him angry and frustrated, giving him severe anger issues at the time. He would hurt people, throw complete tantrums. Looking back on it now, it embarrasses him greatly, but he understands why it happened. Even today his brain doesn't think as others would. He simply couldn't figure out why almost everyone, including himself, were so stupid, idiotic, and arrogant.

As he grew up, he got over it. He still thinks about it, but he knows how to hold his tongue. His entire reasoning for helping people is to teach them common sense and to use it.

Other: During casual activities, he usually carries a backpack around, keeping his revolver and a few other miscellaneous things within it.

Personality Traits:
  • Shy - Sam, though old and experienced, is still quite shy and socially awkward when it comes to making friends or talking (despite his outward appearances), what with the stigma associated with a power set as radical as his. He makes an effort to never use his powers around people if he's trying to talk to them.
  • Helpful - Though quiet, he does like to help out his friends or whoever he finds in need of some assistance.
  • Quiet.
  • Hardworking.
  • Gruff.

Abilities:

  • Probability Manipulation - Sam is able to manipulate the elements of Probability itself, able to land impossible shots and do otherwise unimaginable things with his bullets. He is also able to manipulate other things, like the Probability of something happening in the immediate present or the chances of someone else succeeding at something. However, he is unable to influence events he does not know about, or events in the future or past, and his powers only work within a twenty foot radius around him or on objects that he's using.
  • Minor Dimension Warping - Sam is also able to (albeit very slightly) warp the space between dimensions and thus alter physics and reality itself. This results in things like him being able to bend the path and trajectory of a bullet as it's in flight, or being able to make minor alterations in any small or medium sized object around him. However, using this power too much drains his stamina very quickly.

Skills:

  • Marksman - Sam is an accurate marksman even without his probability powers, being able to knit tight groups of shots together on his targets. He is no stranger to inaccuracy though, and his peers that rock more modern weaponry or better powers often outclass him in long-range fights.
  • Intuitive - With age comes increased experience, and this is something Sam normally shows off in high stress situations, being able to plan ahead of an enemy force if he's cornered or outnumbered.
  • Good with Horses - Sam's a cowboy by trade. He knows horses like the back of his hand. 'Nuff said.
  • Keen Eye - With years of experience on the land, Sam has learned to use his sense of sight more efficiently, able to pick out targets however distant, though details are lost on him the further away a target is.
  • Quick-draw - With his hobby as a trick shooter, it is no surprise that Sam is very fast on the draw, moreso than normal shooters. Other mutants with either keen reflexes or super speed trump this though.

Biography:
A cow hand before the days of the civil war, Sam received his powers at adolescence as most mutants do, however they never really manifested themselves physically (how do you physically and visually portray probability manipulation), nor did he even know that he had them. To him, in his youth, he was merely one of the luckiest boys on the ranch. It didn't occur to him that his luck was born of mutant powers until he was in his twenties, by which time the mutant wars were in full swing.

Born in Dallas, Texas, he was the youngest of a trio of siblings and the proud owner of a horse called Tess. He and his family lived on a ranch out in the countryside, growing wheat and corn and tending to livestock. A happy, countryside life. With little hobbies outside playing the guitar and riding horses, Sam soon took to his father's interest in firearms, and then developed his skills as a trick shooter, being able to hit coins flipped in the air and tin cans that were hidden behind a plywood sheet and other quirky little things that trick shooters did. When his powers manifested, his family did take note that his tricks became more and more successful the more he practiced and attempted them, which they no doubt attributed to the practice. When he grew older though, he realized that his improbable luck was less of that, luck, and more of something he could control. On the sly, he tested out his theories by attempting extremely difficult shots with the wrong types of weapons and found out that he was able to manipulate probability and chance enough to make the impossible possible. With the realization, though, came fear and uneasiness: he knew, from the news, that mutants were bad people, and he was a mutant! He didn't want to get caught by the authorities so he kept his powers a secret and tried to live his life normally, which he did for several years more. By 2016, however, roving gangs of anti-mutant hunters eventually found and tracked down Sam and his family, simply through the word of his trick shooting abilities that had spread around the county. Forced to cut ties and run, he gathered his belongings, sat astrode Tess and bolted for the hills, not stopping until he was miles away from the family that he'd abandoned.

Eventually, through his wandering of the country, he lost his horse, but gained a home in The Pit. A mutant scout found him wandering amidst the rubble of the city and brought him in, and with his skills and powers, he soon made a living for himself as one of the Pit's many scouts, spending his days wandering the city and its outskirts (and chancing upon an adorable beagle puppy on one of those days), searching for other mutants or mapping terrain, while spending his nights alone, tending to his guns and the dog he found.

Other Information:
  • Sam owns a pair of guns, Smith & Wesson Model 29 .44 revolvers. These are his life and soul, remnants from his previous life as a cowhand and trick shooter. The guns have small names engraved on the sides of their barrels, one reads 'Carl' and the other 'Bessy'.
  • Sam also owns a beagle he calls 'Casey'. It sports a neat brown leather collar with a single tag with its name on it, and is a young female beagle in the prime of her life.
  • Lastly, Sam owns a very nice hat. There are many others like it but this one is his. Do not touch.

Real Name: Blaire Daniels.

Appearance (Blair - Left Side):


Personality Traits: Blaire is exactly like her name implies. She is a very bright, blaring, vibrant person who loves to have fun and never takes anything seriously. She does have a very short temper and is easily angered, especially when it comes to her past and her family. She loves to get into fights and is a total tech geek, though she does not look it when you first meet her. She is fearful of water, snakes, and spiders, but everything else she seems to be fine with. She is a very daring person and loves to take more risks than to hang back and be in the background. She loves to be the center of attention and can be a little narcissistic at times. She sometimes has her head in the clouds, but once she’s in a battle, she is grounded and focused and seems like a completely different person.

Abilities: Fire Manipulation- She has the ability to manipulate fire to her whim, which includes forming the fire into fiery shapes, like whips or swords. She mostly likes to send them off in shot blasts though. She feels like it is more effective that way.

Skills: She is very skilled in hand to hand combat and with multiple kinds of medieval weaponry like swords and bow and arrows. She is also good with ninja weapons as well, such as Katanas and Nunchuks.

Biography:
Blaire and her twin sister are a very unusual case for mutants. Both of their parents were mutants, which it is really strange for there to be a family of mutants. What is also strange is that they are TWIN mutants, and no more, complete opposite in powers. There is also fear when it comes to a family of mutants. When her and her sister were only six years old, their mother, a shape shifting movement, was taken from their home and had experiments done on her. They waited for days for their mother to come back, but, unbeknownst to them, the humans had killed her mother in the process of one of their experiments.

Her father did not know this as well. He scouted for days until he came across the facility which she had been taken. He led an attack against it, only to find that his wife had been killed and he, in turn, was killed. Blaire and Jessamine waited for days for their parents to come back, hoping that they could be a happy family again. They were about eleven at this time. When they had heard of their parents’ deaths, they did not mourn. They knew immediately that they needed to go into hiding. They found some other mutants who were also in hiding and stayed with them until they were fifteen. They then got their own place, within the compound of the Pit, and have stayed there ever since.

She is the older of the two sisters.

Jessamine has very light blue eyes and her sister has red. Dark red. Jessamine is also slightly taller than her sister. Jessamine has a slight a light blue tinge to her skin color where her sister has a little bit of red to her skin color.

Personality Traits: Jessamine seems to be the complete opposite of her sister. She more serious and takes things very logically. She does, sometimes, go with the flow of whatever is going on, but normally, she is the brains behind the operation. While others might go into the field to fight, she stays back at headquarters and relays commands out to mutants who are out in the field. She does love to go out into the field though. She will always go with her sister whenever her sister is out there, which is often. She is fiercely loyal to her family. She does not seem to have a temper, but when it comes to her family, you do not mess with them or she will mess with you.

Abilities: Air Manipulation: She has the ability to manipulate the air around her and form it into strong winds or tornadoes. She can also increase air pressure, causing the ability to crush objects. She can repel objects with the air as well. She can also use sonar with the air as well.

Flight:She can use the air to lift her up into the air and carrying her a short distance (kind of like Jack Frost in Rise of the Guardians).

*She can do power moves with her sister. Her sister can super-heat her tornadoes, causing them to burn anyone that they touch.

Skills: She is very talented when it comes to math and science. She is very good at close, hand to hand combat. She is also very quiet and stealthy and can climb trees faster than most people.

Real Name: Serena Carson.

Appearance:






*Note: Her eye color is unnatural among humans but known as the Alexandria Genesis, which is a human genetic mutation she was tested for mutant DNA as a baby and was due to be tested when she reached maturity, however she was a late bloomer and managed to slip through the cracks. She has worn different color contact lenses over the years to help keep herself hidden.

Tattoos & Piercings: Xena has several piercings on her right ear, a scaffolding bar across the top of her ear, with two rings about halfway down, both of her lobes are pierced, she tends to wear a dragon ear wrap on her left ear with a small cuff ear stud in her right. Apart from that she has the left side of her lip pierced with a ring and a bar through her tongue.

She has the Japanese kanji for peace on the back of her neck and a howling wolf on her right bicep.

Personality Traits: Xena is a real firecracker, she has a rebellious streak and isn’t keen on beating things around the bush. She can be brutally honest and direct, often showing little concern over the tenderness of others feelings. She is a confident character though she can come across as a little pig-headed at times.

Selfish, unlike many of the other mutants Xena wouldn't selflessly defend another of her kind. Even though she tends to be a risk taker, when it comes to putting herself at risk for the sake of others she tends to choke. She doesn't ask for help believing that 'her problems are her responsibility' and that she can only remain strong if she deals with everything on her own. Alongside this she believes that only the strong should survive and doesn't like the idea of dragging the weak along with them, this can cause her to appear heartless.

As rough as she is around the edges she isn't an introverted person. Sarcasm is her first language and she uses it mercilessly, housing a unique sense of humor she'll often say things that nine times out of ten only entertain her rather than the people around her. Always looking for a way to cause trouble.

She's very resourceful and is a natural problem solver when she wants to be, she has a knack for finding a way even when there doesn't appear to be one. She's also pretty good at finding loopholes in conversations so she isn't tricked or railroaded into anything she doesn't want to do or admit. The reason she does this is because she doesn't trust anyone, usually she'll be pretty upfront with people and tell them, but even after she gets to know someone she instinctively expects them to either double cross her or abandon her at some point so she keeps her guard up.

Xena will become particularly confrontational when she feels threatened or anxious and will adopt a rather stand offish persona. She doesn't tend to talk about her emotions and rarely registers them, the only one that she can't keep bottled up inside is her anger.

Abilities: Neon gas manipulation - can create, shape and manipulate neon, a colorless, odorless, inert monatomic gas under standard conditions, but when under low pressure glows a bright bluish purple if an electric current is passed through it.

Aerokinetic combat with neon - Neon lights surround her hands, lower arms, lower legs and feet giving her physical attacks a power boost.

Air Dashing using neon - The user is capable of performing short "dashes" in mid-air, allowing increased speed and even changing direction in mid-jump.

Aerokinetic constructs using neon - Can turn neon gas into tools, objects, weapons and other items.



*Note: In order to utilize her powers Xena has to engage her anger, from then on it becomes a fierce battle of will. If she allows herself to become too worked up she loses any tactical advantage she may have and becomes as useful as a tank without a driver. The more ticked off she gets the more unpredictable her powers become, meaning she could potentially harm her allies unless calmed down. (This can be registered by how bright her eyes glow when she uses her power.)

Skills: Free Running - With or without the use of her powers Xena can traverse near enough any type of terrain at an admirable speed, she is particularly adept at traversing cities. She has good muscle definition and a high fitness level so she is capable of pulling off impressive acrobatic feats...even before she's thought about using her mutant ability.

Hand-to-hand combatant - Xena excels in this field though she doesn't always play by the books, over the years she has picked up her skills from various street thugs and even a few classes here and there. What makes her deadly is her ability to mix and match her fighting styles, she's also not afraid to fight dirty.

Weaponry - Though she can use firearms she doesn't like them and isn't a very good shot. She tends to stick to melee weapons, favoring throwing knives which she hides in her clothes, she always has a blade on her somewhere.

Biography:
Serena was 10 when the H.U.A was formed and began rounding up the mutants, her mother died during childbirth leaving her and her older sister in the capable hands of their single father. The first 10 years of the conflict barely effected her mortal family and due to Viola's insistence that her younger sister steer clear of it, Serena didn't become involved even when her powers manifested. Serena's powers manifested some time after she turned 15 due to a careless action, after arguing with her sister she ran into the path of an oncoming car, before the car made contact with her she lurched forward in a blaze of neon light. Everyone on the street saw her but Viola was the first person to reach her, both sisters disappeared that day breaking their father's heart and narrowly escaping the government.

Serena changed her name and her appearance drastically but it wasn't enough to keep her hidden. To cover this Viola also went through some changes in order to protect her younger sister, she took on the persona of a man and became involved in shady business with human street gangs. Xena was generally kept out of her sisters dealings to begin with, staying locked away so she could learn to control her powers which took her well into her 16th year of age. Over time she wormed her way into pushing statistics and handling clients for some of her sisters contacts whilst Viola now known as Vincent ran the streets. When the rioting begun Vincent and Xena took to the ground and kept a very low profile, eventually forced to emerge again they went back to their previous life style, however this time Xena was on the front-line along with her brother. Over the last few years the pair have worked as footmen for a couple of gangs, they chose them very carefully only going for ones that were simply out for themselves, scavenging the spoils of war whilst tactfully avoiding it, this became increasingly difficult as the conflict between the factions escalated.

Everything changed when trouble was brought to Xena's door, though Vincent had spent his entire life protecting his sister he ultimately ended up being her downfall. He had secretly been filtering off extra weapons and supplies and sending them to the mutant resistance, it was a small harmless deal to begin with. The gangs didn't notice if a few things went missing here and there in the beginning but after years of warfare the gangs became more protective of their supplies and Vincent was caught out. He tried to get away but the problem followed him back to Xena, pushing the pair into an impossible situation which resulted in Xena having a minor meltdown and using her powers to help them escape.

Knowing that is was only a matter of time before his sister was found, Vincent reached out to his most trusted associates in hope of finding help. Having helped The Pit many times in the past by scoring them weapons or supplies in general Vincent came clean with them about Xena and asked if they could take her in.

Other: Despite her negative view on sentimental items Xena has her mothers engagement ring, it was given to her by her older sister as it is the only thing she has to remember her mother by. She keeps it on a chain and on her person at all times hidden beneath her clothes.

Xena claims to be fearless but she's secretly phobic of snakes and small/tight spaces.

Calling her a 'Warrior Princess' has a 50/50 chance of being accepted as a joke or earning the promise of bodily harm.

Personality Traits: Micah can be a bit difficult. Most people don't really care for the guy because he's suspicious of everyone and doesn't bother to hide it. He doesn't trust new people easily, and this suspicion can near paranoia when it comes to humans. He has a bit of a problem with authority figures. This and his apprehensive nature is the reason he didn't get involved with the war or the Pit in the first place.

Micah can be arrogant and often shows that he has a low opinion of most people. He absolutely despises liars, and as such has made a vow to never lie unless someone's life is threatened. Oddly enough, the man's an excellent liar as he lacks any obvious tells and delivers his lines with utter conviction.

If he does start trusting a new face, Micah seems to shut down. His earlier bluntness turns into silence as the man tries to control his mouth to avoid insulting his new friend. Most people take this new-found shyness as another sign of arrogance or see it as a show of disdain or anger. This habit has driven more people away than Micah's near inability to lie has.

Regardless of all this, Micah is undeniably loyal to the mutant cause. Despite his difficulties in social situations, the man is good at taking orders and is willing to follow those he trusts through hell and back.

Abilities:
Velocity Manipulation
Simply put, Micah can control the speed and direction of a moving object. This ability is incredibly versatile. He doesn't need to fear falling from great heights. Jumping extremely high and far is everyday life for the man. He can freeze a bullet before it gets out of the guns muzzle, and then use that same bullet against the gun's wielder by changing its trajectory and sending it towards them at high speeds.

There are limits, of course. Small, fast-moving objects such as bullets are only stoppable in groups or two or three, but Micah doesn't have a chance at stopping a hail of bullets unless he has some sort of divine intervention on his side. Controlling the velocity of anything heavier than himself has been proven impossible. He can't control the velocity of gasses or liquids.

Velocity manipulation can be tiring, in the long run. If Micah overextends himself, he's found himself suffering from shortness of breath and tunnel vision. At worst, he's found himself fainting in the middle of using his abilities.

On the subject of enhanced speed: While it is possible for Micah to reach mind-blowing speeds thanks to his powers, he has a human body that can't stand the stress of it. He hasn't dared to run faster than 40 mph, 10 mph above the peak human speed, in the fear of knocking himself out.

Skills: Micah's natural agility and quick reflexes has made this guy a master of avoiding hits and traveling the rooftops of the city.

He's a relatively good brawler too. Micah is incredibly good at improvising and isn't afraid to fight dirty. Why try something complicated when you can throw a rock at the guy at supersonic speeds, right? Right! Though he doesn't want to admit it, his aim could be worked on.

Biography:
Micah's lived most of his life on the streets. He was born to a young teen mother who had her at the young age of 16. She'd always consider the child a reminder of her own mistakes, making her relationship with his son distant at best and verbally abusive at worst. Micah's little slice of Heaven was with his grandparents, who defended the poor kids existence until their last breaths.

His grand-dad was the first to go, when Micah turned 9. His grandma followed her husband three years later. By the time the boy turned 15, his life was a mess both at home and at school. His mother got meaner as time passed. He had been bullied throughout his life, but all of a sudden things started getting violent. Micah, the short, stuttering kid he was, couldn't properly defend himself against the bigger, older kids. He couldn't find anyone to help him either, always the odd one out. As a way to defend himself, he elevated himself above others morally. Never lie, that was the big thing. Never lie or steal or kick someone who was already down. Don't back down, don't appear weak even when you have no chance of winning.

More often than not his rules just made things worse. A year later, the same month the HUA was put into action, Micah had had enough. The angry, usually feeble attempt at a slap turned into a speedy, bone-cracking punch. The bully suffered a broken nose and a concussion. Micah lost his rights as a human.

Micah ran away. The cracked bones of his fingers healed as he tried his best to adapt to the life on the streets. The rules started changing. ”Never steal” turned into ”steal when necessary.” Really hurting someone was the only safe option if someone found out that you were a mutant. Sometimes you had to go further than that. Appearing weak made people underestimate you. ”Never lie” was never turned on its head, but Micah created exceptions for it. ”Never lie unless they ask about mutants. Never lie unless they threaten someones life.”

He found himself in this odd no-man's zone between the mutant society and the human society. No-one really paid attention to the short guy begging for money. There were more important things to work out. Those peaceful mutant-rights protests Micah had involved himself in turned into riots. Micah stood by the sidelines, hating the humans but not trusting the mutants either. He helped where he could but never got officially involved, seeing the higher ups as just another group that would fuck things up for everyone involved.

It took years for Micah to decide that staying in the Pit was the only good option he had left. At the start of 2020, Micah walked inside the mutant-run city and sat down in a comfortable, uninhabited corner of the pit and relaxed in his new little slice of Heaven.

Real Name: Olivia Farris.

Appearance:




Live has a number of piercings through her ear besides the normal piercings. These arrange themselves starting at the top of the ear and moving down to the middle. She has three on the left side and two on the right.

She keeps the side of her head shaved to show a tattoo of the thorny vines of a rose that trail down from her head along her spine all the way to the base of her back.

Her scars include a small slash across her left eyebrow that causes hair to not grow, nearly segmenting her eyebrow. Along her right shoulder she has a scar where she received surgery on her shoulder. Surgery was needed after the number of times she fells and dislocated the arm. Through her left calve she has a small scarred dip on both the front and back. This dip is caused from a small jagged pipe going through her leg on one of her falls. The pipe not only pierced her leg, but also broke the bone, though thankfully she doesn't have a limp from the broken bone.

Personality Traits: Live is someone who tries her hardest on a task put in front of her. As long as it seems somewhat logical she will push herself to accomplishing it no matter what, even if it is harmful to herself. She always puts other mutants before herself as part of the mutant group. She sees the humans and mutants as separate races and pushes with everything she has to help out her side.

When it comes to other mutants she has a soft side that she shows. Relationships with mutants come easy for her, and she readily tries to improve them. As for humans, the difference is almost night and day. She despises how they treat her kind instead choosing to believe in Mutant Power, or Mutant Superiority.

Abilities:
Electricity Manipulation: Live can control most forms of electricity simply with a touch of her hand. Of course following the laws of energy she can not create or destroy energy, but rather has to charge herself like a battery before being able to use her power. Live feeds off electricity like food or water, making it a requirement for her daily routine. Unlike food or water though she can overindulge in electricity giving her a high and also overcharging her powers. While charged she is forced to wear rubber gloves over her hands. Her hands are the most conductive part of her body so if she doesn't wear gloves there is a high chance of her accidentally touching someone and shocking them. This leaves Live unable to touch others without worrying about hurting them.

Once charged Live is able to use her power for a multitude of things. These include recharging other electricity required things, creating electrical fields, generating "mini-lightning", running up walls using static electricity, and more she hasn't learned about yet.

Skills: Live is very nimble and fit. She makes the perfect candidate for field work and special missions such as reconnaissance and spying. Live is skilled in getting into places normally inaccessible, most of the times without being caught. She loves a challenge, especially if it involves her ability, and will constantly push herself until she achieves it.

Biography:
Live grew up in a small family, with only her mom and younger sister, Rose. While she didn't have a great relationship with her mom, mostly because she worked all the time to support her two little girls, Live's relationship with her sister was stronger than anything. The two were inseparable, always with little Rose trying to copy Live's stupid stunts.

Live's power didn't manifest until later on in her life. Her sister's, however, manifested as soon as she turned 13. One day when Live and Rose were walking through the park, Rose was running around jumping into puddles while Live watched her to make sure she didn't get hurt. Well, that's what she tells herself, but she was really jumping in the puddles too. Anyway Rose jumped into a final puddle that spanned a good portion of the field. As soon as her feet touched the water ice began to spread. It covered the entire puddle, even entrapping one of the kids who had unfortunately jumped into the same puddle just moments before.

Within minutes SWAT teams had the park surrounded, and Rose was taken into custody. Rose screamed out for her older sister to save her, but Live was stuck in shock staring at the men dressed in black carrying away her sister. After her sister was gone and Live got over the initial shock she was filled with anger and dread. Her sister was gone, and she hadn't done anything to stop it. Without saying goodbye to her mother she left to get her sister back from the government, whatever it took. Live joined up with a mutant gang that let her in despite not having developed any mutant abilities. Through that mutant group Live stayed until she had developed her power. Within that group Live learned that Rose had been experimented on and killed after testing. Devastated Live turned to The Pit. She had heard they were a society of mutants and planned to join them so that she could support people like herself and her sister. Before she left she got her first tattoo, a thorny rose vine, to remember her sister by.

Other: Live has a serious weakness for bets.

Crash stands at 6’2 he has dark blonde hair and rare amber eyes commonly referred to as 'wolf eyes'.

Tattoos: He has a tattoo of two blooming roses attached to a thorn vine that twists up from the left side of his abdomen slowly melding into a complex tribal pattern that stretches over his shoulder and back, before travelling down his left arm.

Personality Traits: Crash as he is quite aptly named, is a bit of klutz. He’s a good guy at heart but often makes a nuisance of himself, he just can’t seem to slow himself down, he’s usually full of energy and isn't happy unless he’s busy! He isn't good when it comes to serious matters, often remaining jovial despite all odds which others can find infuriating at times. He's physically unable to stay still for too long and severely dislikes anything that requires him to be so, he gets extremely restless and struggles to concentrate. Both of these facts can make him seem fairly immature to others.

Even through the horrors and strains of war, Crash is notorious for keeping a smile on his face and maintaining a positive energy. He doesn't tend to showcase his personal emotions, it could be said that he hides them behind his jovial nature or it could be taken that he really is carefree enough to let things go. He’s always willing to help out any fellow mutant or friend, he’s easy to talk to and although he may not always know what to say he makes for a good listener.

If you're going to ask a favor of him though bear in mind that sometimes his clumsiness gets in the way and he may unintentionally end up making things worse before they get better.

He's an intelligent chap but his social perception is awful, sometimes he talks before thinking. He's particularly nervous about talking to women and can become quite flustered, it's incredibly easy to make him blush. When he's flustered he's even more clumsy than usual.

Crash doesn't tend to lose his temper; it takes a lot to get him worked up about anything he’s too laid back to let things get to him...however he will not stand for anyone hurting people close to him or what he refers to as 'innocents'.

Abilities:
Sensing -The power to locate a person or people providing they are alive, this doesn't mean he can give their specific location but an idea. This is more effective if he has met them before however he can sense people he hasn't met through visual aids or belongings. He can also channel this ability to specifically locate mutants (known & unknown) within a 2 mile radius of his position.

This power requires concentration and complete stillness, which he struggles with. When used it also means Crash cannot defend himself when he uses it. This power can be blocked/confused by strong electronic currents often found in electronic shielding or a large collection of electronic devices.

Molecular Immobilization - more commonly referred to as 'freezing', is the ability to slow down molecules to the point where they move so slowly that objects and people appear completely motionless, simulating the stoppage of time in a localized range. This power is always channeled through the use of one's hands, usually by stretching forward one or both arms at the target and extending one's fingers.

Selective Freezing - This allows the user to unfreeze certain parts or things, within the frozen area. As his power advances so does his ability to pick and choose what he freezes and unfreezes. For example, he could freeze a humans entire body but then unfreeze their head so they could talk.

If Crash's hands are bound he cannot use his power to it's full potential, however he has been trying to learn new ways to channel his ability. This ability is not very effective on mutants, he has never been able to utilize it against another mutant even as a joke.

Skills:
Archery: Crash has learnt how to use several different types of crossbow and bow, though he favors the Mongolian composite bow more than any others. Despite this fact he has a modified recurve bow called Katherine which is his weapon of choice, alongside a quiver with a selection of non lethal and lethal arrows. Before the war archery was just a hobby of his, he would often partake in competitions on his travels. He acquired his bow from a dealer when he eventually returned to his home country.

Tinkerer: Crash has a knack for being able to make things out of old junk people would usually discard, he can also work with up to date technology to make things but he prefers using what other people wouldn't think to use. He likes making different types of arrows and making changes to his re-curve bow, which he is rather attached to.

Biography:
Caleb started out life pretty normally, he was adopted at birth by a couple who couldn't have children of their own. He was positively adorable and loved immensely by his family, he was an only child but got on pretty well with his neighbors son. Danny and Caleb were close when they were younger, in fact Danny was the one who gave Caleb his nickname, ‘Crash’ because of his habit of colliding with things and his obsession with the cartoon character Crash Bandicoot. Caleb’s family wasn't wealthy neither were they poor, his parents worked hard to keep themselves afloat, his mother was a social security administrator within the government and his father was a divorce lawyer. Crash didn't see much of his father when he was growing up, he was always too busy working to watch Crash’s basketball games or attend parent’s evenings at his school. Crash was closer to his uncle who coached the local high schools basketball team; he viewed him as a much better role model than his own father. Crash’s powers manifested when he was in high school around about the age of 13.

After Danny and Crash had been within the school a year, the quarter back of the school’s football team decided Danny would be a good way to vent his frustrations and took it upon himself to become Danny’s tormentor. Danny didn't breathe a word of it to his elder friend and kept it to himself, not wanting Crash to get in trouble over him. Unfortunately Danny didn't get to choose where he was bullied and the quarter back managed to corner him whilst he was waiting for Crash one lunch time. Crash saw the quarter back push Danny against a line of lockers and pull his arm back as if he was about to punch him in the face, his powers sprung to life almost instantly as Crash lifted his hands to push someone out of the way. When everyone froze Crash rushed to Danny's aid, though he couldn't help but take it a step further and once his power timed out he ended up clashing with the quarter back. Crash was punished severely for his digression and suspended from the school with a view to being expelled for the harm he had done.

It didn't take Crash long to figure out he was a mutant after this particular incident, he told Danny about his powers but waited a while before telling his parents. He was eventually expelled from high school, forcing his parents to seek out another school. Aware that things were becoming a little heated between the differing factions he pushed to be home schooled, choosing that moment to reveal he was a mutant. His father went ballistic; claiming it was impossible there was no way HIS son could be a filthy mutant. Crash demonstrated his power for his parents by freezing a falling vase, his father flew into a rage and struck him down for what he was, Crash was so shocked by his father’s reaction he didn't think to use his powers to escape his rage even after he had taken a few hits and been named an abomination, a danger to the human race...Crash wasn't aware his father was so against mutants. His mother did not offer her voice to the dispute neither did she defend him from his father, she simply remained silent. Stung by the sudden rejection of his parents Crash enrolled himself into a run down boarding school near New York, knowing that he had to escape before his father could have him locked away. Despite her previous silence his mother did come through for him in the end, she carefully transferred money to the boarding school and even used her contacts to give Crash a new identity. He wasn't happy about leaving Danny behind but he promised his friend that he would stay in contact as best as he could and told him if he had even an inkling that he was different like Crash was, that he had to contact him first before he told anyone, Crash would come back for him.

Crash was happy in his boarding school, he kept out of trouble and kept his powers hidden from everyone for his own safety. His mother kept his location a secret from his father claiming that she didn't know where her son had gone and wasn't still in contact with him, to keep him safe she didn't contact him at all whilst he was school. Crash left boarding school when he was 18, in an attempt to escape the tension between the government and the mutants he decided to travel, keeping on the move and constantly changing his identity. When things reached a breaking point in 2015 Crash was forced into hiding too avoid the government. Over the last 5 years he has steadily made his way back to his birthplace, though he hasn't been actively involved in the war he regularly offered help to what he refers to as 'innocent' people this was often a mixture of mutants and humans who were caught in the middle of the conflict, he liked the idea of being a bit of a vigilante. Unfortunately his willingness to help cost him dearly somewhere down the line. He drifted from place to place often interfering with local 'crimes' to protect any mutants he happened across sending them to the nearest safe haven. He's helped out multiple factions over the years by finding them new recruits or hunting them out supplies on his way back to his homeland, it was only really a matter of time before he ended up at The Pit.

Other: Crash is extremely accident prone, his personal record for ‘Most accidents caused in one day’ is 5...so far.

He strongly opposes being called 'Caleb' and will always introduce himself as Crash.

Crash has a few keepsakes from his travels, a small piece of lightning ridge black opal which he wears on a short black necklace. A decorative pair of Crescent Moon Knives and a small assortment of precious gems and trinkets.

He tends to wear a pair of human army dog tags on a chain around his neck, if they're not there they will always be somewhere on his person, he doesn't tend to let people look at them and hasn't told anyone anything about them.

Crash's partner in crime is a German shepherd named Tess he has her undying loyalty, she's obedient and well trained. Before he came to The Pit, Tess helped him to survive.

Personality Traits: Gordon is slightly bipolar, but not in the traditional way. Starting off, he tends to be a little shy and hidden by fear, but when he gets a rush of adrenaline, he immediately swings to the opposite of what he was. He is exciting and outgoing and loves to show off and do things that the other him would not normally do. He is a very friendly guy, very sympathetic as well. He never seems to be depressed, but he also seems to be shy and not wanting to talk to most people. Because he can change his appearance, he does not really know who he is. He acts more in the moment and likes to think into the future. He is very tentative when it comes to meeting new people and He can’t stand being near those who are fake. He also likes to mess with people since he is an illusionist and he loves to mess around.

Abilities:
Illusive Appearance: Gordon has the ability to change his appearance to be someone completely different or just change his appearance slightly. He can create the illusion that he is someone else or something else, like he can make it look like he is a tree or a bush or an animal or a car rather than a human. It is a very defensive ability.

Phobia Exploitation: Gordon has the ability to give illusions to people of their worst fears, but he has yet to really reign in this power because he is young. He does not know how to control it yet, but he knows how to direct it. He cannot control the length of time someone sees their worst fears, but he has the ability to direct it toward a specific person rather than it just going crazy and hitting everyone at once.

Skills: Because he is so young, Gordon does not have very many defensive skills besides hiding in plain sight. But he does know how to lock pick as well as break into places without setting off alarms or being heard. He is very stealthy, a fast climber of buildings, and a great swimmer. He is also an amazing acrobat and knows very basic defense moves.

Biography:
Gordon did not have the best time growing up. He was born into a very poor family with five older siblings, a drunkard father, and a very hardworking mother who had to work three jobs to keep up with his father’s drinking problem. Each night his father would come home drunk, beat up his older sisters, whip her mother, and shove him and his brother into their rooms and lock them in. He had a hard time shutting out the screams of pain that his mother let out when his father whipped her after he had thought all of the children had gone the bed. He begged for relief from all of this pain in his family. He prayed for his mother to be safe and for his father to just leave.

When he turned six, everything changed. One night, after his father came home during one of his drunken rages, he stayed out of her room and stood in front of his mother, hoping to protect her from his father. His father shoved him aside, slamming him into the wall, but Gordon did not go down without a fight. He wished more pain upon him than anyone else he could have ever thought off and his wish was granted. His father froze and began screaming suddenly, clawing at his face. He stumbled around, grabbing at his face until he slipped and fell, cracking open his head on the kitchen sink. His mother now looked at Gordon with fear. For little did Gordon know that he had just created his first fear illusion, in which his father was covered with poisonous scorpions.

His mother, in fear for the rest of the children, took him to an adoption home the next day and dropped him off. His siblings were crying, as was his mother, but his mother knew that Gordon could not stay in their home because he was different. Gordon then grew up in the adoption home and he realized that he could give illusions to people that made them thing that he had changed his appearance. He would cheat in hide and seat by causing the illusion that he was blending into the wall or he would sneak some more food by giving the illusion that he was one of the children who had not come down to dinner was down there now.

Gordon decided to leave the adoption home at eighteen because he was an adult now and afraid that what happened to his father would happen to his new friends as well. He knew he was different and he was afraid of himself. He left hoping to find others like him and that happened. He heard of the Pit through word of mouth on the street and went to go join to be a new recruit. Tosh wears a tan poncho, a black long-sleeve shirt, nylon gloves, leather boots, yellow tinted goggles or blackout aviators, an ancient Cubs baseball cap, and (formerly blue) jeans.

Personality Traits:
Isolation tends to dull one's social skills and unfortunately that's the one thing Tosh has a stable supply of. If the humans were to make a positive ID on him he'd very quickly lose whatever freedom he did have. If he were to try to visit the mutants at the Pit, well taking away their abilities probably wouldn't be appreciated. There was no loyalty to be had with his mutant compatriots. He was alone and he had learned to make do. Tosh often times goes days without speaking, on a few occasions even weeks. Crippling loneliness has taken its toll on him, as have the few encounters he has had in the past few years. Tosh is a pacifist in a world where that has long ceased to be an answer though even know he tries to hold himself closely to the ideals of non-violence. Tosh once said to a hostile mutant, "Violence is the easiest solution. It is a short term solution. If violence becomes our answer, there will be no long term, there will be no solution. There will only be an end." The very same mutant was strangled to death as Tosh said these words to him.

Abilities:
Null sphere
Tosh is despised among the mutant community for this and highly sought after by the humans and their government for his one of a kind power. In a five meter radius around Tosh exists what he refers to as the Null Sphere in which all mutant abilities are rendered useless. Tosh puts off powerful pheromones that if a mutant were to catch wind of, would be drawn to him. The closer one is to Tosh the more powerful an affect his pheromones and the weaker powers become. Once within five meters of Tosh mutations cease to function. To mutants capable of sensing life or other mutations of that ilk, Tosh is rendered completely invisible by his mutation.

Skills:
Tosh is a survivalist by need, not by choice. He's grown adept at making do with nearly nothing and will continue to do so with some ease.
Being on particularly poor terms with damn near everyone, Tosh has found it easier to simply make himself invisible through proper usage of camouflage, covering his tracks, and a nearly unbreakable patience.
A rifle and box of stolen rounds have lasted him nearly a year and with good reason. If Tosh can't hit a target with the first shot, then he won't squeeze the trigger. He hasn't survived this long on dumb luck and brash actions.
Tosh can outrun most people and in the ruins of war torn cities his is damn near impossible to follow. The callouses on his hands and feet and the scars on his arms and legs will attest to the hours he's put into navigating the environment of urban decay.
When it's time to throw down, Tosh is ready, but unwilling. He detests fighting, but has come to accept it as a very necessary part of life. When he fights hand to hand, he moves quickly and goes for the points that most would shirk away from. Survival is not a pretty thing, but it is the difference between life and death.
Tosh is more than capable of attacking those that wrong him, be it with a crowbar in the dead of night or well placed homemade charges hidden along a well traveled road. The first rule of warfare is to teach your enemies why they should never have attacked you in the first place.
