"It is possible you were simply too late. I don't know how long it takes for that stuff to dissipate but I know that you arrived later than I did. I'm not sure who that would helpother than to narrow down suspects. I think we need to look for clues. We need to know who did this. I thought everyone was pretty happen with the way things were. Hero's and villains are pretty evenly numbered." So I can't imagine why anyone would feel the need to do this." Katherin told them.

Phoebe sighed, dropping her head into her hands as she thought for a few moments, letting silence fall. "Perhaps it's not one villain doing this. Perhaps it isn't even a villain. Maybe it's someone wanting to get rid of those with powers, those considered supers." She said, "Someone with a lot of power, and nothing to lose"

Makoto thought about Phoebe's suggestion. A chill ran down he spine, recalling the students on her campus.

"I hate to say it but, the general population doesn't exactly like us. I mean sure, we help keep places marginally safe but more often than not we are all trying to control one another. Other supers with bad intentions or misguided paths." she agreed. "It may not even be one person with hate and money, but a group of radicals." Makoto sighed in frustration."We are just going in circles, we need more than what we have to go on. The list of possibilities is just too long right now."

As much as she hated wishing harm on people, they almost needed another attack to happen while they were all on guard, that way specials could be present to discuss how it went down in more detail. A scuffle with who ever was involved in the attack. Makoto hoped that other, smaller pockets of people who disliked their kind wouldn't pop up and use the chaos as an opportunity to lash out.

Since Flood wasn't really responding she rolled her head back over to Connor. "Well, it couldn't hurt to watch you fall over yourself trying to figure it out. Just don't expose yourself to it or you'll turn into... any number of things." Fidgeting a bit she still wasn't able to free herself. "Although I'm not sure how helpful you would be in the long run since you can't even tell that the 'academy' blew up from the inside." She said the words while squirming, not really giving much thought to what she just implied had occurred the day before.

Kat apparently finding her the ancient woman put off her own thoughts to look at the screen. "Of course he would do this. I suspect this will dredge up old rivalries between groups." Sighing she shook her head and rubbed her temples a bit. "Well we can't just ignore it now. Something is going to develop quickly with or without us."

June - Outside AIM Facility

"Most of the lab coats are not armed. Watch out for the ones with the masks because they'll have some of the more nasty tools. They aren't all that stealthy wearing bright yellow hazmat suits." They came up to one of the entrances which was a large vault like door. Taking her communicator June hooked it up and let it run.

"We will find out who is behind the attack eventually but I think it will take time. We aren't going to get answers today. I doubt that we will get them in the next couple of weeks. Especially if we continue to run around like chickens with our heads cut off. We need to get organized. We need to stop reacting and act." Katherin told them seriously. She didn't care who did it or why. All she cared about was making sure that they paid the price.

Flood's head snapped towards Lady Lobo when she said The Academy blew up from the inside. His sword flew towards her neck and stopped inches away from beheading her. " What was that about The Academy blowing up from the inside? Answer honestly or the blade finishes its swing." Flood's eyes were hardened and he had every intention to fulfill his promise.

"Then they should not be a problem my fear gas will get them...and they will fear us..." Nicholas said preparing his gloves with his upgraded fear gas."Now do you know the layout of the building?" Nicholas then asked her wanting to know how they could approach this without less wounds on the team.

Kijani woke up with her face on a computer keyboard. She groaned and ran her hand across her eyes. Her clothes from yesterday were sweaty and wrinkled, and she had a knot between her shoulders the size of a golf ball. "Ugh..." She'd stayed up all night, researching and reporting and trying to find something. Knowing there would be nothing she could do without food and at least a few hours of relaxation, she took a hot shower with lavender soap, hoping to soothe herself. After using a half hour's worth of water and dressing in some comfortable clothes, she sought out Connor. If he saw her asleep, he'd probably leave her there rather than risk waking her up.

"Connor? Where are you?" Not knowing if he was still around, she went to her phone to call him.

Not knowing what to do, Kassy wandered Lady Kat's house. She managed to find the kitchen, and started to make grilled sandwiches with the food she found there. Cooking soothed her, for some reason, and feeding others made her happy. She didn't remember when she'd learned to cook. Or who had taught her, for that matter. Maybe she'd taken a harder blow to the head during the explosion than she realized. The smell of cooking food started to waft through the long house.

Connor was about to speak, to say he was sure he could find out someway of making sure that he wouldn't be exposed, there were after all many protective measures he thought he could use, when She said that the academy had blown up from the inside.

Connor hadn't had much time to explore the ruins, other then helpign to search for those injured, and had meant to go back today, and have a look around see if he could tell what had happened.

"What? From the inside?"

That could mean any number of things. That it was an inside job, for one, and that sent chills down his spine. None of them could be safe then, they were in a worse position then he thought, and Connor spun away, intending to call Kijani, he said to flood, "Start calling those who were there yesterday, let them know that it blew up from the inside."

Could this merely have been an accident, gone wrong? A students powers, out of control? No, the school took measures to prevent that. Even when Sue destroyed the power development classroom, the damage had been minimal, really.

As he grabbed his phone, it rang, and Connor was relieved to see Kijani's number. And then wondered if something had gone wrong. Had she found something? "Kijani. Sorry, I had to leave. Flood found an unknown, and, and, and She said that the school was blown up from the inside"

Phoebe gave another sigh, feeling like that was all that she was doing. She wanted to be doing something, needed to be doing something, or she would drive herself crazy.

"I know. But so far, we have no answers. We don't even know what happened, yet. And there's so many people to worry about, so any deaths, so many injuries"

she pressed her fingers against her eyes, and said "if no one has owned up yet, or even left a hint of it...it could be that that means they expect to get away with it"

Kalinda just rolled her eyes. She could probably take the whole building by herself, with very little effort on her part. Sitting around planning it was such an annoyance, but she could play along for now.

Still.

"i'm going to open the door now" Kalinda said, and while she would have preferred to simply slam it open with her teleknesis, she chose the more subtle way, disappearing into the shadows, she slipped inside, checking to make sure that there wwere no alarms, she opened the door.

There were many things that Harry didn't understand. Most of it in his own head, which made everything difficult at times. He fiddled with his glasses, even though Flood had fixed them, they felt...uncomfortable.

His thoughts strayed, to right before everything had happened. Had he sensed something wrong? He had been hurrying to get to class, but had there been a moment there, when he had thought something wasn't quite right? Could he have stopped it?

"You're not real" He muttered to himself, shaking his head, he put the glasses back on, looking back at the house, he pulled his hood up, and headed back inside, to the smell of cooking. He followed the scent to the kitchen

Flood picked up his phone while keeping the blade to Lady Lobo's neck and called Phoebe. "Pick up the phone." He whispered to himself as he shook slightly. The thought of The Academy blowing up being an insidejob was terrifying, it truly was.

Makoto stood up, thinking about her university and the impending exams. The campus, though sheltered from usual physical interaction, was a breeding-ground for internet news. This happening was probably all over the web, and causing enough outrage to get people talking in person. No doubt being an institution so close to the Academy would have even the staff buzzing.

"Maybe I should go back to school, I have a feeling the grape-vine is doing wonders over there. I can maybe find out some more information and see what the masses feel, based on the hype likely around the topic." She was standing to wash the mug and throw out the wrapper of her cornmeal muffin when Phoebe's phone bagan to play a funny tone. Another call? That was unusual, but at a time like this one could expect anything to happen. "Can you conference that call into our current one?" Makoto asked Phoebe, knowing that some cell phones were capable of such things.

"That women is going to be a pain in my ass.." Nicholas thought walking towards the door opening it slowly with his thick vines,With the door slowly opening the younger Scarecrow walked inside of the building making his way form one room to the other trying to be detected just yet by the scientist.

Nicholas thankfully was not seen by the other scientist looking for the AIM ops that they were searching for,Luckier for him he would find them chatting it up in the break room a few feet away form him.

"Well he is an intelligent man. In every event, no matter how tragic, there is opportunity. Why let it go to waste?" The tablet vanished from her hands, as she watched and listened to Kagerou. She didn't envy the position she was in, playing caretaker to those who remained, and the stress that caused was showing. "Yes, action must be taken but only as little as necessary. The more time that is dedicated to trying to placate these feuds the less is spent on investigating the attack. A fact I'm sure has not been missed by the guilty party."

Phoebe nodded, as the phone interrupted the conversation TO let them know that there was another call. She quickly brought the call into the conference call, saying "hello? You've reached Phoebe, how may I help you?" She hadn't checked the number, and rherefore she didn't know it was flood, so she put on her professional voice in case it was a work place or informant.

Flood heard Phoebe and sighed a breath of relief. "Phoebe, it's Flood. Connor and I just found out something very important that I need you to tell the others. The Academy was blown up from the inside. It was an inside job Phoebe. Make sure to tell everyone else. I'm busy interrogating someone, so you have to do it. I'm sorry but I have to hang up now, make sure to spread the word." Flood hung up and put away his phone. He then focused on Lady Lobo once more. "What else do you know?"

Kijani stopped short in the doorway. "She said... what? That doesn't... make any sense. The school is built to contain students with low control. Students with powers that dangerous wouldn't be housed near the others. Not without protection." She stepped into the room, then, looking at Flood and nodding politely. Taking a look at the situation, him with a blade at some strange woman's neck, she smiled faintly. Not a moment lost. "Need a hand, Flood?" A touch of her power summoned a sheaf of papers into her hand, and she pressed one onto the woman's skin, hovering above the beating pulse of her artery. "I suggest you stay calm, Miss. I wouldn't want you to startle me. There could be an accident."

Without taking her gaze from the subject, she spoke. "Hey Connor, who is this, anyway?"

Kassy smiled as Harry entered the kitchen. She couldn't see his face, but she knew his walk and the way he sort of hunched into himself. "Hi, Harry. Have a sandwich! There are plenty. Ham, ham and cheese, turkey and cheese, roast beef, fish, I even made egg sandwiches." She flashed him a bright, downright cheerful smile. "An army moves on it's belly, after all. We can't start healing without food. Eat!" She moved from the stove momentarily, to set a large pitcher of what looked like water with orange slices. "And drink."

Flood sheathed his sword and looked at Kijani. "Thank you. How's the Capoeria going? I do hope you kept practicing it." Flood sat down in a nearby chair and ran his hand through his hair. "Her name is Lady Lobo. She's some sort of scientist attemptingto revive her species. She ran into Lobo who used some chemical on her that drove her insane. And she recently came to The Academy looking for Kryptonian and Martian DNA to mess with. Me and a few others took her down and I brought her here." Flood finished as he looked at Lady Lobo with contempt. "She also knows things that she shouldn't know, like The Academy was blown up from the inside! How do you know this!" Flood got up abruptly and reached for his sword. He was clearly trembling with rage.

Eyes the blade for a moment. "Don't wave that thing around. You could poke someone's eye out." Apparently they both wanted some kind of an answer even though Connor went straight to his phone. "Well Like I said before I came to collect DNA samples. So I was keeping an eye on the place from orbit when it went boom. It was awesome! Or, no it wasn't. The explosion was cool. Uh, there were three explosions. They didn't seem all that well placed to be though since the underground survived. Maybe they were hoping for the best." The alien shrugged a bit.

Taking a breath she seemed to have an idea and her face lit up. "Hey I have an idea. How about if I help you figure out what happened then you can get me some of those samples I want? Do little trading hm? What do you say?"

Kat's words were definitely true. Shaking her head softly Kagerou relented. "You're right. We need to figure out what happened first. Someone is playing games in the wake of this tragedy" Things were getting pretty crazy. The smell of food began to work its way through the house. Taking a step back from her thoughts she relaxed a bit. "Alright. I think I'm going to take a break. Get something to eat. Even if I don't need it. Thank you for letting me know about the message."

Heading out Kagerou went to the kitchen where she found Kassy cooking. "Kassy, it smells great. I didn't know you could cook." Walking over she took a closer look at what was being made.

June - AIM Facility

Wondering how much everyone was listening she glanced at the group. "The ones in the hazmat suits will not be affected by the gas. The rest will though." Kalinda opened the door and allowed them in. Going silent June walked in with the others and nodded to Kalinda. "Good job. That's much easier." About the same time Nicholas noticed the lab coats in the break room June phased through the wall and grabbed one of the men from behind, cracking his head against the wall. Before the others could react she punched one out and kicked the other in the back of the head.

Quick work was made of the unsuspecting men. "Room's clear." She began checking their pockets and got anything useful and pulled some key cards off them. "And here's our tickets into the rest of the facility." Handing them out to each of them June shut the door.

Kijani smiled, somehow eased by Flood's casual nature. "It's great. You should see my moves now. A little pop and lock, a couple of flips... It's pretty awesome. Also, you need to calm down. This woman may be annoyingly verbose, but we'll see if her info is good. For now, don't kill her. Go take a breather. There's coffee. The real good stuff, too. Organic, imported, chocolate-infused, whatever the hell you need from the kitchen is yours." She gave him all that instruction without taking her eyes from this Lady Lobo. So far was more like Lady Looselips.

"What, exactly, is the benefit of helping you, if we don't know who you're working for? For all I know, you could be a spy. I am no fool, and I am no hero. Hinder my investigation, and I will tear a hole in your windpipe and watch you suffocate."

When Kagerou entered the kitchen, Kassy's eyes lit up. "Hello, Miss Kagerou! I've made enough for everyone. Please eat! I've been cooking for..." She blinked, trying to grasp a fact that should be there. "For... um..." Her eyelids fluttered, as a stab of pain went through her. "Miss Kagerou, I think I'm injured somehow. I keep feeling strange and... not remembering things. I can't remember how to contact home."
