Not to get all psychological, but some people are actually just 'wired' to take things people say literally. I'm like that to an extent, but I've learned that people here are usually just shitposting.

This bio will get reconstructed once I've left the site for good. I'll be collecting my data in the background for now, and sorting some loose ends. Once I've dealt with everything, I'll log out properly and remove my 'ghost' status, and that'll be the last this site sees of me. This community is in serious need of growing up, and I'm not the least bit surprised that role-plays die here so frequently.

The 'Grim Reaper's Gambit' role-play is likely to reboot elsewhere eventually. The role-play will have some modifications, so contact me if you're curious since the original project won't accurately explain everything. There's no determined date for it to happen yet, since I've got other priorities and I'm not investing a lot of time in it until enough of the people interested have free time to properly commit (lack of dedication on the part of some players practically destroyed the previous version; it's very apparent it would've died even if I hadn't decided to leave). There's a group that're quite interested, but most of them are busy.

If we don't count a few people on this site who I haven't had a direct conflict with but I personally believe I will if I ever converse with them extensively, just because of an overwhelming difference between the types of people we are, then there's quite a few people on this site who've at least irritated me, though only a few who've done so in a way that would prevent me from being willing to associate with them again without proof of regret. Some of the people who got on my nerves hurt friends instead of me (they still irked me though), but definitely not all of them or even a lot of them.

Admittedly, I try to be pretty 'chill' (I think this is the term people use for it now, but I don't know -- I'm too old for this shit), but I'm not as easy going as I might seem sometimes. You're right that it's sort of dependant on whether you catch me on a good day or a bad day, but I've got a very long list of pet peeves and things that go against both my aesthetics and my principles/values. Also, because I (more or less) suffer from lifelong PTSD, I've got my share of 'triggers'.

I can hold a grudge too, but my tendency to forgive is complicated. Basically, if the person is genuinely sorry and their actions show this, then I'll usually be able to forgive almost anyone, but if a person doesn't show this regret and doesn't make an attempt to make things right then I won't have anything to do with them. Not that I'll hurt those people, or go out of my way to get revenge, but I won't associate with them.

Within the short amount of time I've been on this site, some people fall into the 'you haven't earned forgiveness' category.

Status update:

Directly relating to the previous post I made, I'll be taking steps to try and get my new PC bought and set up in this place earlier than expected, but it'll only happen if I can find a way to have both that PC and this one running at the same time. This'll allow me to keep recovering/collecting information off this PC without having to worry about new stuff being compromised or breaking down. I'll be getting in touch with my contact who's helping me get the PC later today, because I know I can only get the PC at specific times.

Indra got back to me about half a day ago, and told me that his 'Private CS' should be done in the next day.

I need to get in contact with Ed (Eidolen), because he's been missing for a while now (we're a bit worried) and is currently the only person who isn't active. At least, he's the only person who I don't know will reliably respond to me if I poke him. If this sort of inactivity ends up becoming a routine then I'll end up having to take over Guy Heinze myself (we built some lore around his character, and the current IC development makes it difficult to just retcon now -- for the time being, it would also be difficult to just kill him off), though I'd really prefer not to if I can avoid it, because me and him have some good stuff in the work that'd be more fun with him. I just won't be letting this role-play die after all the effort I put into it.

The collaboration between Leonard, Reinald, and Karlita should be finished the next time me and the others can sit down to work on it. Until then, there's nothing I can do regarding it, because I posted last there.

I operate under a mentality where if I don't think someone is giving the same level of devotion to a relationship - any sort of relationship, so role-playing partner is included - as I am then I'll cut them off rather fast and then basically forget they even existed a few moments later. That's literally how much tolerance I have for superficiality.

So while I don't know your situation with these people, I'm inclined to say 'fuck them' if you're dissatisfied.

Not today, that's for sure. PC is getting worse by the day, and Discord has caused a good portion of it. With several PC breakdowns in the last few days, and now them occurring each time I even try to log into that application, my mood's at the worst it's been in a rather long time.

This is more of a general update, as opposed to one related to the role-play itself. I can barely see right now, so I might typo in this post. We'll see, I guess.

Only just woke up recently, due to another PC breakdown shortly before I went to bed pretty much severely fatiguing me. As a result of this, I wasn't awake when I wanted to be, which means the collaboration couldn't get finished yet. It'll still be a bit until it can happen, because from this point onward those involved in it will need to get my attention over the PM system instead of Discord. I know I implied it previously, but it's a definite now. This recent breakdown was kind of the last straw for me. When you combine the floods of viruses I've been hit by while using Discord, together with all my PC breakdowns being directly caused by it, there's just no way I'm using it, especially when I know some people who actively avoid it due to the program being unsafe. Anyway, to top it off, when I try to open up Discord now my PC is having a breakdown pretty much automatically, so I can't even log into the application anyway at this point. I'd like to point out that apart from that though, my PC is working normal.

Anyway, I'll be dealing with data recovery as soon as I'm not in enough pain to be unable to sit down extensively (there's a major migraine to solve too), and I'll try to work on the collaboration as well whenever Tsu or Pudd get in contact with me.
