OK? Them owning a website like Twitch doesn't necessarily mean everything will just change. Kinda of like when Disney bought half of the youtubers and PewdiePie isn't wearing Mickey ears and talking in an annoying squeaky voice. Youtube just gets more money from "owning" Twitch than they do normally. Nothing is gonna change, and you'll still be able to see the dongers being raised. Get over it.

Well that's Disney, Youtube has the tendency to dump down there own website site, not to that there assholes about there fair use policy. If Twitch sell their site to them then there is no doubt that Youtube is going to fuck everything up the ass.

I know, right? It's not like Google knows how to run a website.

Oh no, you had to sign up for Google Plus to sign into YouTube. Oh, just think about what you could've done with that half a minute that you will never get back.

Personally, I like having my Google account and my YouTube synched up. This way I won't have to remember two more logins for things I use every day. Especially when I use 'keep me signed in' so I don't have to do that every-time I go to either site. When I erase my history every two months or so, I'll only have to use one username and password combo to watch Game Grumps or whatever I'm looking to be entertained by.

Seriously. Having a google+ account is the bomb.com. Google+ is, like, LITTERALLY an amazing social network. It has the same amount of users as YouTube, which is a lot of people, and it's connected to my email, HOLY SHIT! That's right bitches, I CAN CHECK MY EMAILS WHILE I POST PICTURES OF MY CAT. Not to mention it's connected to Google, you ready for this shit?, yea that's right, I get quick access to THE Google search engine. No typing in the url bullcrap, the search bar is right there OH MY GOD! AMAZING!

With these amazing features, it is most definitely the superior social networking provider. Facebook andTwitter can eat steamy doodoo.

I am mad at Google AND Microsoft. They both have very nice "things", that everyone uses, but they are so caught up with cutting everyone of from the other, that they forget they need to service the people. Not cut them off from every other product out there. Though i don't mind having a lot of things connected through Google, I do mind being forced to sign up to Google Plus to do so.

You guys started talking about social media and forgetting that RoleplayerGuild was practically a social media website but with roleplaying and dick jokes.

I think the thing that concerns me about the expansion of Google's empire and the interlinking of multiple services is privacy. Whereas previously only YouTube knew what I YouTubed and only Google knew what I Googled and only Facebook knew what I Facebooked, the steadily all-encompassing web of linked services means that one company knows everything I search, post, and say. There's a reason the idea of governments invading our privacy disturbs us; it should freak us out just as much that a private corporation is slowly attempting the same thing - to collect/have access to information about every facet of our lives. Even assuming it wouldn't be abused by Google (fat chance), if they own everything and all those services/information is linked together, the potential for catastrophe if their servers go down or, god forbid, they're hacked is limitless.
Furthermore, I don't think monopolies are ever good, on multiple levels.

So while I agree it doesn't necessarily mean Twitch itself will change all that much, I do agree that the general trend is worrying.
