IC post is up. It was a very loud event, so if your character was attracted to it, feel free to appear. You can stay alone for a bit if you prefer.

The Vice Patrol is exactly what it sounds like, and more will likely be revealed as time goes on, but int he mean time I will announce this modifier to the system:

Whenever in VP controlled territory, both loot and mob rolls will get one less die, and a roll of "Luxury" for loot will come up as nothing instead.

One thing I want to reiterate going forward as this is like the world of the walking dead and which zombies do not exist as a cultural item. Walking corpses were an unexpected concept to most people, so they find their own words. This is to avoid genre savvyness.

Just curious but would the "zombies" be mostly reliant on hearing, vision, or god forbid it, smell?

Hearing is definitely one of the most used senses, and smell..... Maybe. Sight.... Also maybe. Gisk has final say, though.

Hearing is definitely their biggest sense. The virus slows decomp, which preserves their soft tissues longer than usual, so both eyes and olfactory organs stay for a while. Their sense of smell isn't strong enough to hunt with, they use it to distinguish their own from potential prey.

Unsure if a crossbow would be accepted in the bow stat or not. I mean, let's be honest, a bow and a crossbow are aimed in VERY different ways.

Oh yeah, bit of an important detail.

I was actually thinking of lumping them in with rifles, since they have the same sort of aim. But I think you do have to use them a lot like a bow(accounting more for wind and arch etc) so I think we'll just leave them lumped together.

Virus mutations happen on practically a daily basis. He could just be unfortunate enough to run into one. If we were to make that canon, though, that would make things very bad very quickly. So....... Loki, change that "ran at him" part for now.

I was talking about the tall man in the building with him, but now that I reread it.... yeah, he says he's trying to outrun the horde. Zombies are generally really slow, Might wanna change that too.

Zombies are slow mostly because of poor motor control. They can push their bodies beyond natural limits because they don't tire or feel pain, but they just aren't very good at moving. Sort of a shambling jog is their main mode of pursuit.
