Shame about only EU3 working. From what I hear Victoria has a ridicululously complicated and difficult economy system, though.

Hey Cyclone, excellent map there. I added little pips to mine to indicate the presence of major settlements, but I'm thinking of doing something similar to yours now.

*Predicts that everybody will soon be doing this, requiring an additional map overhaul*

Thanks Terminal, I'll actually go and take a look at your new map. Yeah, it was actually the talk about your Sunken City was that prompted me to make a detailed regional map like I did. I just figured it'd be nice for others to know where all the forts I mention are located and such, and that having a detailed map would make my land all the more real in the Tolkien way.

I personally think you have a pretty solid start right now. Some interesting ideas about what industries you want and so on. You don't have that many details and sections aren't done though, so I can't really give my opinion on whether I like it as a whole.

Well, it was kinda inevitable. It would be hard to trade with a nation if you don't know where the cities are.

Looks like its coming along nicely, and its also one of those "upstart" nations, neat :P
Two newer nations sharing a border, thing might get interesting.

@Song Book
Well, I mean in close proximity :P
The Empire is also more interested in annexing the rivers to the south as they have potential use as farm fields, which is something the Empire could use more of.

Also, @Sini, what direction does the Sun on this planet rise on? I wanted to have a nickname of my nation of "Sunset Empire", but I realize the sun rises on the east, failing to realize that was why Japan was call the Land of the Rising Sun. I would say that, but it sounds pretty cliche.

@OneEyedChurro I'd either say I'm Ming cause I'm quite large already and have plans to blob even more. Or I'm Ryukyu in the early stages of a Three Mountains achievement run, cause... you know... I'm from an island, the name... wanting to conquer the world, should be kinda apparent :P

Hah. Well, I suppose you're lucky I'm in the south ;)

Oh boy. Maybe I should edit my army to be even bigger while I have the chance.

...just kidding. The Azracs will be more than happy to cower behind the massive mountains between them and everyone else.

Well, if your nation's stated interest is to expand and you have a pretty powerful military to do so, can you really blame people for not wanting to put themselves in position to be quickly conquered?

In any case, through plotting, secret deals, and alliances I think the weaker nations like my own have plenty of ways to stat afloat, and maybe even rise higher.

You're tactically threatening.

Just not strategically threatening.

It's alright. You can still stand in the corner and flex as eyecandy for everyone else.

Basic Map of the Ryukyu Empire's cities, wonders, and fortified areas. Plus two seas and a bay.

Before you ask, the Inshingu Monastery is main Monastery of the Inshingu and is built like a mountain keep. The Imperial Palace is the residing manor of the Imperial family. While it is incredible comfortable and lush, its also built like a military fort, but its architecture does not follow most of the other forts and is built more like a Japanese/Chinese castle.

Wonders:
Ruins of Arytidum - The ruins of a previous civilization of unknown origin, current of high interest of Ryukyuan scholars and archaeologists.
Unity Tower - Build to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Empire, it is a huge monument to celebrate all of the people and species and their accomplishments while also inspiring citizens to make their nation expand even further.
Colossus of Bushinara - A statue of the first legendary general who lead the Imperial Army. He is shown standing with one foot on a stone and holding a torch in one hand with his other hand holding a scaled model of the "Sword of Bushinara".

Hey @Sini, I was thinking about changing my current self-made positive trait:

State Inquisition- the Inquisition is a small panel of three judges tasked with maintaining the security of the homeland. Their size means they can deal with threats quickly and it doesn't take them long to establish a network of agents both at home and abroad to locate traitors.

To something like:

Contagious Culture: Armanian culture is, for lack of a better word, contagious. Whether it be due to the old and famous writers and painters or out of respect for the nation's long history, bits of Armanian or Arhusian culture can be found on nearly all corners of the continent, if only in the smallest degree.

Feel that kind of fits a bit better, and makes a bit more sense, considering I'm old and in the middle of the continent. Might also have more interesting interaction opportunities with others (Not that any of us are really having trouble, anyway). That seem alright?
