I feel like I'm trying to find meaning by dragging a bull elephant through a snowdrift by its pubic hair without that hair snapping

and then hoping someone can interpret the line of trampled snow in my wake.
And I feel a trifle salty about it, to be honest.

This perfectly describes English Lit.

The worst thing is that it makes me put a bunch of overly obscure symbolism in my writing that nobody will ever get despite it being extremely important to the story. And that makes me sad.

Finished it, turned it in, proceeded to complete a maths test without a calculator right thereafter

Basically a long rant about a sexist ass, a dude named Krogstad and how he definitely wasn't a dick. Society was. The late 19th century bourgeoisie was the real dick all along.
