Describe the System:

The Lancian Empire is headed by the Kaiser/Kaiserin, or Emperor/Empress when translated from Lancian, and the long version of the title is “Kaiser/Kaiserin of the Lancian Peoples”, depending on the gender of the current Kaiser/Kaiserin. He or she acts as the unifying symbol for the Entire Empire, and has a lot of political sway and power, and orders from his office are referred to as Imperial Orders. The Kaiser also appoints a Chancellor, who acts as a speaker of the Parliament and helps carry out Imperial Orders, as well as cabinet of Advisers, however their authority is very limited. Beyond that a Parliament exists to help the Kaiser make laws and setup courts, but he may override them. Herrs/Dames, or Lords/Ladies when translated from Lancian rule over individual Statial territories and Imperial Territories, and colonies are ruled over by governors appointed by the Kaiser/Kaiserin. Both the title of Kaiser/Kaiserin and Herr/Dame are hereditary, but by law they can only be passed onto a Lancian Citizen. In the event of death of a Herr or a Dame without a heir or where the title would be passed to a non-Lancian Citizen, the title is redistributed to a new noble family. The title Kaiser/Kaiserin is to have all current Dames and Herrs vote on a new noble family to take the title, if the Kaiser/Kaiserin dies without a heir or the title would pass to a non-Lancian. All of these titles treat men and women equally, and the only matter for inheritance is age, with the oldest receiving it.

It also to be noted that in individual Statial and Imperial Territories that the acting Herr or Dame can create titles of Baron/Baroness to rule over small provinces or cities within individual territories with the Kaiser’s approval. Lesser noble families are chosen for these titles, but they usually do not hold as much power within these positions, as the only powers granted to the Baron/Baroness are chosen by the Herr/Dame, and with a unanimous vote of Parliament and approval of the Kaiser, the title can be revoked and destroyed.

The Lance Empire divides territories it administers into four types Special Administrative Zones, Statial Territories, Imperial Territories, and Colonial Territories. Special Administrative Zones are reserved for lands which are unique and not governed under the normal system. Currently the only SAZ is the Capital and some of the surrounding land, as to prevent the Kaiser’s residence from being governed under by a Herr or Dame. Statial Territories are those lands which comprise the original Lancian Territories, and usually have a bit more investments into the local industry. Imperial Territories are not colonial territories, but are those territories that were conquered on Edoniras and are not majority ethnic Lancian. The people in these territories are actually allowed to practice their cultural practices without much interference from the government, but monetary incentive is there for those willing to adopt Lancian Names and practices. The final type is Colonial Territories, which are mostly there to provide resources to fuel the Lancian Industrial Machine. While natives are allowed to practice their culture, they are usually granted plots of land and other benefits such as education for adopting Lancian practices, but no direct monetary funding.

Capital:
Primus, this huge city exists is built right on the “River of Verdienter Blut” or River of Honored Blood when translated. This river allows Primus to send goods and messages across Lancia quickly and efficiently, making it a huge industrial center for the Lancia as well.

Important Settlements:
Nurenburg - Nurenburg is the 1st largest population center that also sits on the River of Honored Blood. It's industry is focused on building machines for other factories, thus it is important for Lancian industrial growth.

Warsawzia - 3nd largest population center, and while not entirely Lancian and located in a Imperial Territory, it has huge factories.

Hanshan - Capital of the Statial Territory of Hantan and 4rd Largest in terms of Population, it boasts the 2nd biggest military base next to Primus as well as decent naval base.

Biel - 5th largest in population, as well as boasting a huge industrial complex responsible for constructing naval ships and other weapons.

Tague - While not having much industry it has great access to natural resources, and guards the only pass through the Tanalp Mountains into the Lancian Mainland.

Description:

Lancia has long since prided itself on the pride the people have for the fatherland, the degree of hard work it’s people has which has created it’s strong industry, and it’s rich military and warrior tradition. The Lancian People are proud warriors, and many veterans exist still serving and in retirement. This is where the Iron Cross comes from, it denotes someone who is considered to have honored blood and they are well respected and often have high positions in society. The military tradition has existed since the earliest days of Lancian history, when foreign powers sought to conquer the land, after they failed Lancians conquered their lands for themselves and the warrior traditions were born. Lancians are also hard workers, which has allowed them to create a strong and large industry. This mainly stems from their national pride, as they wanted to assist and strengthen the fatherland.

The Architecture of Lancia exemplifies efficiency and production, making sure that every inch of space is efficient as possible. While this does lead to some rather boring looking cities, the Lancians are still very much cultured when it comes to art, music, and literature. A lot of it is focused on Lancia and the fatherland , but plenty of other subject matter has been explored by Lancia’s arts. Science is also encouraged, although to Lancia liberalism has been depicted as a evil beast, effectively squashing it’s spread.

For religion the Lancians believe in one god, their church being a split off of a another one as the main one refused to reform. Most notably Priests are allowed to marry, and the religion treats men and women as equal, and so does Lancian Society. A few other denominations exist, but the split-off church is the main one, with about 93% of the population following it, in addition to the Kaiser and his family.

Due to the wide variance of cultures that were conquered by Lancia and assimilation since then, it is hard to give a decent overview of them all. They all do however have similar linguistic origins, and some holidays and other certain practices remain the same between the various groups.

The Lancian military is divided into the Kaiser Lancian Streitkräfte and the Kaiserliche Marine Lancian (Imperial Lancian Armed Forces and Imperial Lancian Navy). The Kaiser Lancian Streitkräfte is known for being some of the best soldiers in entire world. There has however been complaints about how the Navy is commanded however. While it is treated as separate organization within the military, it still falls under the command of the Kaiser Lancian Streitkräfte’s Generals. This had lead to the Generals placing the Naval Training Schools on land and not providing boats for the sailors to get used to sea travel. This often improper command of the Navy has lead to inexperienced sailors and bad tactics by the Generals since they are used to land not naval command. The Lancian people are often unsupportive of naval affairs due to these losses, and money need to help maintain ships is not provided, leaving them in horrid states of disrepair. Despite this officers within the Navy are campaigning to create a Admiralege to command the navy separately and provide proper facilities for sailors to train in as well as proper education for Admirals to command fleets, and money to repair ships of course.

The Lancian currency is made up of various coins and paper bills, with the faces of past Kaisers stamped onto them. It is also to be noted that the Lancian currency is backed by gold, wherein paper bills can be taken to any branch of the Lancian National Bank and be exchanged for it’s value in gold.

Important Characters:

Kaiser Gabriel Wilhelm the 2nd - Current reigning Kaiser of the Lancian Empire, he seeks to reform the country into a capitalist nation to benefit it’s growth. He also believes that peaceful unification with Lancia’s Numburg brothers is possible, and is seeking to accomplish this as well.

Prinz Erich Wilhelm - Crown Prince for the title of Kaiser, he is known for being a brilliant soldier on the battlefield as he demanded to his father that he let him serve. He earned the Iron Cross and is currently studying politics and military strategy under the Chancellor.

Princess Alena Wilhelm - Erich's sister, while not as skilled at warfare she studied under the Chancellor while Gregor was away, and as become a master manipulator and a great speech maker. She is still at heart, a kind person.

Chancellor Gregor Ignatz - A old man who knew the current Kaiser when he was merely a child, while he did rise to the position late in life he still has great cunning and ambition. He planned and led many offensives and knows how politics and international politics work perfectly.

Dieter Egon - Captain of the Royal Guard, he bears the Iron Cross and as steadfast and loyal to the Wilhelm Family. He watched over Gabriel's two children while he was away or busy, and thus has formed a special bond with the two.

Describe the System:
Numburg is controlled by the Numburg trading Company an global economic titan. Each Numburgian City is ruled by a Governor and an Administator. The Governor handles Protection, Law and order, Healthcare, education, Military and Naval operations. These Governors are constantly at odds with one another for control of different cities. They are not above backstabbing one another if it means they can gain favor. The administrators are representatives from Numburg trading Co. that handle all economic affairs within their post. They are responsible for making sure that everything runs smoothly in industrial regions and ports alike. They are put into power by the Numburgian Administratum which is the highest power within Numburg.
The Administratum is elected based upon efficiency as the Administrator of a given city. There are 12 total members that serve for life. (Unless they resign) When the time comes for a new member to be elected the Administratum reviews all current administrators and selects the most efficient one. If one cannot be ruled as the most efficent then a vote shall be held. The head of the Numburgian Empire is referred to as the Grand Viceroy. The Viceroy is elected by the previous Viceroy from the Administratum pool. The selection is made in the same way a will is written. If the selected member cannot or will not serve the Administratum will elect one of it's own members with each member being unable to vote for themselves.

Description:
Numburgian Cities are both grand and depressing. Great smoke stacks rise above them as the seemingly endless tides of industry roll on. Smog blots out the sky yet the attitude of the citizens within Numburg is in no way downturned. Employees of Numburg Trading Co. are payed handsomely for their efforts and even receive state sponsored healthcare and education.
A heavy sense of self pride and nationalism are placed upon the citizens of Numburg as it is believed that Numburg is the strongest Economic country in the world. The Numburgian coin is exceedingly rare even within Numburg and is thus worth a fair price on it's own. Stamped with the Wolves head of Numburg on one side and Charlies Nihlus the first Numburgian on the other the coin of Numburg is unmistakeable. Albiet rarely produced. More commonly other countries coins exchange hands throughout Numburg and most other coins are accepted. However if a nations economic tendencies begin to hyper inflate the Administratum will put a ban on said coin and in many cases force the country to pay heigher prices to exchange the banned currency to a usable one. Numburg was founded by Refugees from the Lancian Empire. Fleeing the strict regulations put upon it's economy.

Nations Name: The Unified Realm of Albia and Terosa/The Albian Empire (a.k.a Albia, Unified Realm, Albia and Terosa)

Describe the System: Albia and Terosa are run by two separate parliaments but are unified as one Realm under the Oligarchy. The Albian parliament is centred in the overall capital of the Albian Empire, Kyvern, while the Terosan parliament is seated in Defteros, capital only of Terosa. The two Supreme Princes of the Oligarchy, elected from within their number, by their own number, form a Diarchy and are joint heads of state. One must always be Albian, and the other Terosan. The Albian head of government is the Chancellor, elected directly by the general public in the Chancellorship Election every 5 years. Chancellors may run for a maximum of 5 terms, though this is a rare occurrence. The Albian Chancellor serves as the spokesperson for the entire Albian Empire, but Terosa and the colonies that have been granted Provincial status all have their own Chancellors. Said Provinces are colonies of the Unified Realm that have high degrees of autonomy, but are forced to have the same foreign policy and are all integrated into the Imperial Albian Preferential Trading System. Also in the system are the lesser colonial holdings of the Unified Realm, simply colonies, that are each governed by a Colonial Delegation under the control of Kyvern.

- Epipa, capital of the Province of Tinea. Situated on the Tinean mainland, on the coast of the channel between the landmass and the medium-sized island close to shore (it should be fairly obvious).

Description: Albia was one of the 'middle' nations to industrialise, not being one of the pioneers but adopting the new technology somewhat later. The cities are old and not best designed for the more modern modes of transport, but adaptions are being made to accommodate the rapidly progressing technology. Railways are now commonplace and automobiles are a new sight on the roads of Albia, but horse-drawn carts and other traditional technologies and industries are still to be found in both large cities and elsewhere.

Agriculture and animal husbandry are declining in much of Albia and Terosa due to imports from the provinces and colonies, but new industries are growing exponentially. The iron and coal deposits formerly to be found on the Albian and Terosan archipelagos have fueled the iron and steel industry, locomotive manufacture and, importantly, shipbuilding. Shipbuilding is the new major employer of the Unified Realm, producing en masse primitive sloops, cruisers, and battleships, amongst others. In addition, research into the feasibility of powered flight for military and commercial purposes is underway. Designs for strange, rolling metal vehicles with artillery mounted on their roofs to be used on warfare are on the drawing board, but no real need is seen for them as Albia is an archipelago of islands. Neither have yet been developed.

The culture of Albia is one of pomp and tradition - Albians are both practical and delight in their history. One of the symbols of their past is the Oligarchy - though retaining little of its former power, it is a unifying factor that bonds the Albian and Terosan people together.

The Albian people have enjoyed great power for many years, having been a strong mercantile and naval power. The Royal Albanian Navy is still powerful and the nation is still a centre of international trade and commerce, but its time as a global power may be brought to an untimely end should the inevitable war become too costly.

Albian is the official language of the entire Empire, but in Terosa and the colonies, original language is still upheld and preserved. Native Terosan is still widely spoken as a second language in the western part of the archipelago.

The chrima is the currency of the Unified Realm and the Empire, a disk of copper overlaid in a thin coat of steel in imitation of silver. Lower value coins include the pia and the toula.

Describe the System: The Consul Advisory Acting as the executive branch of the Federal Republic of Aurora, The Consul Advisory acts much like the "Presidential Cabinet" or as "Ministers". Lead by the Two Consuls, or Heads of State, The Consul Advisory is the leading body in all matters of government. These Ministers act as the heads of their respective departments and report to the Two Consuls and advise them as necessary; only subject to the word of the Conclave and the Divine Charter as a governing factor of their doings.

The Conclave The Conclave is much like a Senate. They attend to the every day-to-day matters of governance over the entirety of the Federal Republic. Therefore the Conclave acts as the primary governing factor of the state, acting as the check for the Consul Advisory and handing the voting and proposing of various bills and ideas. However, the Consul Advisory can also propose ideas but unless otherwise stated it must typically be approved by the Conclave. The Conclave contains Hundreds of Councilors; the High Councilors being the primary representatives of each province(Typically the province's Sovereign of Head of State and or an appointed official of said Head of State). Depending on the governing style of each province ; The Councilors are either voted on by the populace, voted on by the nobles, or appointed by the Head of State.

Nations Name: The United Empire of Corustaria

Flag: The Flag of the Empire of Corustaria is very different from the flags of it's individual territories, and this is very important to remember as regiments from the different area's of Corustaria often fly the banners of their countries in addition to the Corustarian banner. The Corustarian banner is composed of the Red of Alswell, the Blue of Vivia and the Lion of Morland. Traditionally, the dragon is not included due to Saxley having been conquered and thus not having been part of the union which made the flag. As such, the 'official' flag does not include the Dragon of Saxley, however there has been a major push as of late, particularly with the public, to place the Dragon on the banner and it is seeming increasingly likely. From one side there has been the argument that "The United Empire is not a firm which changes its corporate branding each time the management alters. The flag is an enduring symbol of unity which transcends politics and absorbs cultural change" while on the other side there is the argument that technically the flag belongs to the monarch and the monarch belongs under the uncodified constitution to the people, the peoples wish to change the flag could in turn force the flag to change.

Describe the System: (Describe how your country is run in some more detail.) The Monarch of the Empire (Known as the Emperor or Empress) is a very important and powerful figure. Alongside the monarch there is a parliament with a range of powers which acts as a legislator. The monarch can dissolve parliament at their own discretion, and also has many administrative functions, working with parliament rather than independently of it. While Morland is the heart of the Empire, the remaining islands are mostly autonomous, with their own heads of state, for example Vivia having a king. All these are subservient to the Emperor/Empress and Morlands Parliament

Capital: Stavedon, a massive city built around the bay of Stavedon to the South West of Morland, the River Thyme flowing through it into the ocean, making it a port-side city to house it's naval assets and one of the more important trade centres of the isles.

Bastillia gets it's name from the Bastile lying near it's center, a twelve hundred (1200) year old castle that has been razed and rebuilt many times in the battle scarred history that came before unification)
Kingswood (A major town in the northeast of Vivia. It is renowned for the great forest surrounding it which has long since provided wood for ships but with the advent of ironclads has instead been used for high class furniture)
Newkeep (A Saxley city located near the center of Saxley, it has become one of the most prosperous on the island after having struck a huge vein of gold and silver. Jewlers and Smiths dot its streets, and it provides a major source of income for the government.)
Dunworth (The largest city in Lesser Morland, located in the north of lesser Morland.)

Description: Very Victorian esque in its architecture, the cities of the Empire of Corustaria range from beautiful manors and pretty cobble stone streets, to massive smoke stacks coughing out fumes into the sky far above. For better or for worse, Corustaria is in an industrial revolution. Culturally, this had led to many changes. Workers are suddenly less important, as machines which can do the jobs of many dozens or men are implemented into factories. New, revolutionary ideas spread like wild fire in the heat of summer, as great minds expand the fields of science. Some things never change however. They are still proud of their navy, and almost incessant are the chants of "Bigger, better, stronger" whenever someone so much as hears the word "Navy". There are four main nations. Morland, Vivia, Saxley, Alswell, situated on mainland Corustaria, and there were formally smaller nation states on the minor islands that surround it, though they have long since been absorbed into their larger brothers and in turn unified into the Empire of Corustaria. Morland is the largest, richest and most powerful nation, where the capital is situated built around a bay with a small entrance.
Aside from pride in the nation of Corustaria, there is pride in the individual nations (and sometimes regions within these nations), flying their colours proudly alongside the other. In particular, Vivia believes the souls of the fallen cling to their regiments colours, and that to lose the colours would be an insult to their memory. Morland has a long running tradition, which has been transferred into a Corustarian tradition, of the Monarchs Colours. This flag, referred to as the Emperors or Empresses Colours, are touched by the hand of the monarch themselves and bestowed only upon the most worthy regiments or units. This unit must continue to perform to the highest standards, or the colours may be "usurped" by another regiment, upon which the monarch shall instead bestow the colours upon that regiment. Not only is their the added pressure of losing the colours to another regiment, but if the colours fell into enemy hands, then the mark would forever stain the regiments record. "To lose the Empresses Colours is to lose the Empresses favour", as they say.
Religion is a somewhat avoided topic on the island, as the Princess is an atheist, while the Emperor was of a different religion to the Prince and the Empress. This is actually a running theme in Morlands royal family, with the monarchs often being of separate beliefs, and is merely another trait Corustaria has inherited from Morland. Its considered impolite to speak of your own religion unless another inquires, a social construct that came to be in no small part because of a period in Morlands history where your religion could make you lose your head...
Given their interesting socialist esque system of providing free education up till age 16, and education past that being relatively cheap compared to other countries, their technological prowess is considerable. While this has supposedly devalued their degree's and honours in the eyes of the paying elite that fill the continent, the results are obvious: Corustaria has one of the highest levels of great inventors and scientists per capita in the continent.
On the subject of socialist esque systems, this is a running theme is several areas. Setting them apart from the mainland their government is responsible for free (This is actually a misconception, as it is supported through taxes) healthcare for its citizens, along with child support money for widows or widowers, pensions for the old and (admittedly limited) support for those out of work. This has made a more healthy and effective workforce, and their people are almost invariably taller than the continents average. This puts a drain on the economy, and the economy has to be carefully regulated in order to avoid a crash. The national reserve is the emergency funding, and a small amount of money is set aside for it each year.
The Currency of Corustaria is the Vestibulum coin. Made out of gold, bronze and silver depending on worth, these coins have the head of the Empress stamped onto them, and on the other side bear the national symbol of wherever the coin was issued (Lion for Morland, Dragon for Saxley, Grapes for Vivia, Bear for Alswell etc) Bank notes are also used, exchangeable at the bank for coin.
The Empire of Corustaria is known for being very cosmopolitan; Divisions aren't laid out by creed, colour or gender. In fact, it's known for having fierce women in the ranks of it's sailors, as well as minority groups and those viewed by others as 'savages' fighting among it's marines. This is partly down to their nature, being already made from several different peoples who have unified rather than being a single country to begin with. This was unexpectedly helpful in colonial situations, as their relatively more benevolent nature earned them more friends among natives than other, less cosmopolitan powers. This is not to say there isn't racism or sexism within their society. As will all colonial nations, they still have their own views on what's 'womanly' and 'savage'. And their own way of ensuring people do not rise past their station
Although it's army is something of a joke due to underfunding and it's generals being perpetually at each others throats, the individual soldier is not actually terrible. Many are extremely loyal and committed, even if they are poorly trained and ill equipped. Unfortunately, this leads to soldiers having a poor reputation, when it is more down to the fault of their superiors than it is their own. This has led to a somewhat awful recruitment level, with would be soldiers flocking to join the navy or marines instead
Something important to note is that Corustaria's Marines are considered much better fighters than it's actual army. They are feared opponents at sea, storming enemy vessels and firing on the swaying decks with shocking accuracy, partly down to skill and experience and partly down to their use of the more accurate 'Bolt Action Rifles'
Careful marriages of various nobles and trade agreements as well as the Lancian secession of Oldenburg after Corustaria's lost of Hantan kept the two countries together and formed a strong bond. However with recent tensions between Empires both countries are seeking to find something to form a stronger bond between the two

The Wight Dynasty:

Aside from being considered by some to be rather dark and having a large amount of pride and ancestor veneration within their family history, the Wight Dynasty has maintained a high level of public support over the past few hundred years. The seal of their family is the "Black Hand" which was originally stamped upon documents with the actual right hand of the signing family member during the families long lasting exile and poverty after being banished and attained by the Cameron Usurper (John Cameron) who stole the throne from the Wights cousin, Richard Lockwall, in 1301. During the Wight Ascendancy (Which occured during the years 1488 to 1491 when the family returned from exile in Lancia to press their historic claim to the throne of Morland after the last Cameron, Mary Cameron, died with no issue) the Black Hand became so closely associated with the Ascendancy in the eyes of the people that it was turned into their formal seal. Their Dynasties motto serves as the motto of Corustaria as tradition dictates "Death Before Dishonour".

Emperor Heinrich Wight (41, DECEASED): The harsh but fair King Heinrich ruled over Corustaria for 24 years after ascending to the throne at 17. Born abroad, Heinrich married into the Corustarian throne and proved moderately popular with the people (although some were angered by his lineage). As per Corustarian custom, he took his wifes surname as she was of higher stature and power than he was, Tragically, he was lost during the Winter War some 3 years ago and was given the traditional royal burial as per his instructions. His death left his wife with a claim to the barony of Hanton in Lancia, however due to a law forbidding Queens they forbid her from being crowned its ruler. The law has since been repealed, and Corustaria had shown a keen influence in enforcing this claim, which was finally settled in the Treaty of Hanton.

Empress Emmeline Wight (38): Known as "Emmeline the Wise" to some, she is known for being publically kind and fair. Behind closed doors however, she is a very determined and sometimes dangerous woman, ambitious and with the intelligence and power to back it up, she is well aware how to play the game of politics, even if she does not always approve of it. It is rumoured that she has refused to take a new husband due to her wedding vows, which while commendable in personal terns is politically poor, though it has been whispered that it's more likely that she wishes to be able to spend time with the man she actually loves, understandably having never loved a man she had been married to at 11 and who had been more of a colleague or business partner than a lover (indeed, both were perfectly content with this arrangement and had their own private lovers...) She was first pregnant at 16 however the child miscarried and Heinrich refused to agree on a name for the dead child (Which caused Emmeline to refuse to bear anymore children until he did, which resulted in him grudgingly letting her name the child, a daughter, as "Amber")

Princess Lillian Wight (17): The Princess has been described by continental suitors as being attractive; Not beautiful, but definitely a striking lady. Unfortunately, she's also been described as having an unwomanly interest in warfare, as well as having a tendency to correct everyone around her incessantly, which has annoyed suitors greatly. She objected strongly to her mother arranging any marriage and stated that she wished to at least like "Whatever posh twit I get married off to" and on one occasion on an attempt to arrange a marriage she threatened to personally fight a duel with the suitor to terminate it. As of late however, she has taken an interest in the Lancian Prince Erich and the affections were returned... leading Emmeline to leap on the opportunity to secure yet another generation of Lancian-Corustarian relations. She is notable in the isles for her charity work within the cities, often donating large portions of her royal allowance to the needy and has been a strong political activist, particularly in support of widening eligibility for the healthcare system to involve a wider portion of society as well as in favour of equality laws. Her strong stance on Gender and Racial issues is also famed, or perhaps infamous. All this has given her a reputation as being very kind and just, though she is also very stubborn. Some, including Grand Admiral Thorne (who privately tutored her in the art of naval warfare on her own request) believe her to be a better choice for the throne.

Prince Heinrich Wight (19): In contrast to Lillian, Heinrich is less politically active. He seeks glory, wealth and prestige, in that order. He lacks the eloquence in his speeches that his mother and sister are notable for. Although he has a strong sense of justice, he is slow to grant pardons for any offence, preferring instead to carry out the law to it's fullest extent. In short, he certainly takes more after his father than his mother. It is believed that he may be passed up for the throne in favour of his sister, however recent developments in the princesses love life have rendered this somewhat suspect and have caused concern and may lead to unprecedented actions

Prime Minister Arnold Carnifex (61): The elected Prime Minister Carnifex has had a colourful life, to be sure. Serving in the Royal Marines, he fought in several wars and became highly decorated, until he was crippled in combat. Rather than retire, however, Arnold Carnifex decided he still needed to serve his country and so decided to become a politician. Founding the Right Wing "Crown Party", he was brought to power on a platform that consisted mainly of bringing up the army up to date and expanding the countries industry, both of which he has yet to achieve. As a member of the Order of the Corustarian Crown, his service has been recognised and he has written an autobiography that achieved some success within Morland and Vivia, though he proves unpopular in Alswell and Saxley

Petty King Julius of Vivia (44): Julius Adhelm serves as the leader of the Petty Kingdom of Vivia, though swears his allegiance to the Wight Dynasty. He is a loyal supporter of the Wight family, being a distant relative the Adhelm family was installed on the Vivian throne by Emmeline's ancestors in order to secure a loyal powerbase in Vivia and solidify the overall grasp of the family on the isles, as they slowly acquired hegemony of the isles to form Corustaria. Julius is a hedonistic man more concerned with personal pleasure and interests than with any long term goals for his people, and as such has outsourced many affairs to Governor Generals from Morland who enact the will of the Corustarian Parliament and Royal Family. His hedonism has been passed down to his two daughters. Despite this attitude, he has done little to incur the wrath of his people, and the Corustarian government is careful to respond to any problems in his realm swiftly to ensure the people are placid.

First Minister Peter Bryant of Saxley (31): The Elected First Minister of Saxley was a previous unknown and unproven figure on the Corustarian political scene however has made a great name for himself as part of the huge Saxley recognition push which has attempted to finally acknowledge Saxley as a true part of the United Empire and in turn finally earn Saxley it's rightful place. As such he has gained massive support in Saxley and indeed across the United Empire

First Minister Alistair Grey of Alswell (44): A big name in Alswell even before his election due to his control over the profitable Weyland islands north of Alswell, he is much less of a passionate figure than Bryant and is closer to the Prime Minister in terms of his personality; Stoic and dull yet reliable and cunning. A very important figure within Alswell, he is considerably less important within the rest of the United Empire due to Alswells relative unimportance.

Describe the System: The Kingdom of Andramedie has proudly maintained the power of the Monarchy while other nations abandoned their noble class to embrace the sin of 'Democracy'. Due to the royal family maintaining an iron grip on the various powers of state, the current ruling King and Queen have an almost unprecedented amount of freedom to enact their desires or change what they wish with little to no legal restraint against them. Below the thrones lay a number of titles and official positions that carry high prestige and a number of responsibilities to manage the certain departments and functions of the kingdom at large and put in charge of small armies of civil servants in order to ensure that the kingdom functions correctly.

Location on Map Desired: The large island just south of Modensa. The one that looks like a sting ray.

Capital: Ushrian- Located in the small bay at the mouth of the canal between the Kingdom of Andramedie and the main continent of Modensa. Home to the Ushrian Royal Military Academy.

Important Settlements: Olkeet- Located at the southern cape of the island and spread out over the three small islands found there, Olkeet is home to the nations primary shipyard and docks. Almost everyone who lives and works in the city are in some way connected to the kingdom's navy.

Kinyo- Located on the larger island of the Isle of Kinyo, Kinyo started off as a fishing village that grew over the years into a rather large city. The major hub of the north, it also processes a rather large and impressive number of docks and shipyards, second only to those of Olkeet.

Mac'dien- The city of Mac'dien is located on the west coast of the Kingdom of Andramedie, located on the arm of Toki Bay (Located on the northwestern point of the island). Mac'dien started off as a naval base in order to control access to the canal found between the large islands of Modensa and grew from there.

Artayan- A military base/city located just inland of the islands southern coast, almost all military personal pass through this city during the course of their training.

Petien- Located in the middle of the island kingdom, Petien is the hub of industry, agriculture and trade for the kingdom. It's location allows it to connect the other major cities in the kingdom which has lead to its current status.

Description: The Kingdom of Andramedie has long worshiped a pantheon of dragon gods that embody different realms:
Ryūjin - Dragon Deity of the Sea.
Amaterasu - Dragon Deity of the Sun.
Mikoto - Dragon Deity of the Moon.
Inari - Dragon Deity of Fertility and Deviance.
Lyth - Dragon Deity of Death and War.
Meka - Dragon Deity of Industry and Wealth.

While it is fairly common for a city to have a major temple dedicated to one of these deities, there is generally a temple dedicated to each of them, if only to appease the one it was dedicated to. Cities and buildings within the kingdom tend to be of oriental style, with the sections of the city belonging to the noble or merchant classes end to be made of more artistically pleasing, expensive stones and woods while the more labor focused peasant class tend to use stones and wood that are more readily available and cheap.

The kingdom has long used the silver standard, using it in their coinage. The Kingdom of Andramedia primarily speaks Andromedian; The Language of Meows.

Important Characters:
King Macdon- The young King of the kingdom, the first thing that the twenty year old king did when he ascended the throne was to have everyone with Any possible claim to his throne executed in order to secure his position as head of his nation. While this rise to power was somewhat more bloody then normal, those nobles not personally affected by the purge kept their heads down and their mouths shut while those of the lower classes generally approved of the move due to the chance to increase their own respective influences after the heads had stopped rolling. So much in fact that King Macdon would marry the daughter of one of the nations more successful merchants instead of a noble woman like tradition dictated.

Queen (Consort) Alanna- The daughter of one of the kingdom's more important merchants, Queen Alanna and the now King Macdon had gotten to know each other growing up, both of them being smitten with the other but unable to officially be together due to traditional expectations. When Macdon became king and purged a large number of the noble class in order to secure his position, he asked Alanna to marry him and she readily agreed. Queen Alanna is openly a devote worshiper of the goddess Inari and while she is reviled by the noble class she is considered the people's queen by those of the lower classes.

Form of Government: Constitutional Theocracy

Describe the System: Vanjana's government is led by a Jade, who acts as the King/Queen of the Empire as well as the leader of the Kyrkan av Stjärnaljus (The Empire's official church, normally referred to simply as the Kyrkan). Their power is checked by elected representatives from all Imperial territories, including the colonies. These representatives do, however, have to be members of the Kyrkan. As a result, the Jade's orders are generally accepted unless they are absolutely ridiculous. This can't stop the Jade from making bad decisions, but it usually keeps nutcases in check. The colonies are governed by their representative, whose orders can be overturned by the other representatives.

Capital: Heligastaden: The capital of Vanjana, this city is both a bustling port city and a beautiful tourist destination. The classes are highly visible here, with the rich living right on the coast and the housing getting progressively worse as one journey's further inland. The city is designed so that any visitors will likely never see the poor areas, with the Jade's palace itself being front and center in the port, held up by stone supports.

Important Settlements:
-Stadavsöder: The capital of the Varmland territory, shown as a black dot on the map. It is surrounded by farmland, and functions as a trade port to ship food between the Imperial territories.
-Högmark: The capital of NordstedF, shown on the map by a red dot. It is also a major industrial center, using up the raw resources from Nordsted and shipping the finished products to Heligastaden. This city is populated almost entirely by poor workers, and the sky is constantly filled with thick smog.
-Nyheligastaden: The capital of the Kashtaken colonies, shown as a blue dot. Since the Kashtaken colonies are quite old parts of the Empire, they are heavily industrialized, and Nyheligastaden is no exception. It is populated by both natives and colonists, whom both know the other's language. Due to a staggering difference in pronunciation, grammar, and basic linguistic philosophy, nobody can truly speak the other language with any accuracy. Instead, the two languages are used in the same conversation, with everyone knowing what the other person is saying and responding in their native language.
-Stadavkryddor: The capital of the Modensa colonies, represented by a purple dot. It has a large population of Kashtaken natives, since they had already had limited contact with Modensa natives, it was deemed useful to send them. It has very little industry, and instead ships out tea and spices farmed in the colonies.

Description:
The people of Vanjana proper come in two types: The extremely rich and the extremely poor. Almost everyone lives in a city, and all cities have clear class separations. The rich live in the middle of the city, and as you go further out, the buildings get more rundown and covered is soot from the factories. Sadly, there is no sign of this changing, as even the poor workers are content with it. They have a "There's no point in trying" attitude towards change, and settle for their meager wages and constant bombardment of smoke. While these poor men, women, and children slowly kill themselves in the smog-filled hellhole of the outer city, the rich throw extravagant parties in the inner city, not caring at all whether their workers live or die so long as they get their profits. Even in the hell in which they live, the poor can find the time for fun, and it is not uncommon to see people of all ages playing various sports during off-hours.

In Nordsted, the same society as Vanjana proper continues until a point at which the hills end and the mountains begin. Past that point, there are no rich or poor, only people. They may be employed by the rich of Vanjana and the King himself, but the rich rarely come to the mines, and thus they live a much better life than the poor of Vanjana proper. The only steam-powered machines in the mountains are mining lifts, which don't cause nearly enough pollution to create the hellish conditions seen in the cities. Those in the mining towns are famous for their "Festival av Frihet", which is an annual festival celebrating the day Nordsted was conquered by Vanjana. They see that day as their day of liberation, as the mines were formerly harassed by bandits until the Vanjanan military wiped them out. Even the rich in the cities allow their workers to travel to the festival, as doing so gets them in well with the King, who obviously likes the fact that the festival exists.

In Varmland, there are few cities, and most of the land is dotted with farms. It holds the vast majority of Vanjanan food production, as Vanjana proper and Nordsted have little arable land. Even more so than Nordsted, its people are free from the tyranny of the rich, with each farm being independent of any larger organization. Despite their relative freedom, they are the most rebellious, still holding on to their nationality. However, very few will publicly display their ideas, as the freedom only extends to those who do not oppose the King. The Vanjanan military puts down any revolts, and the people of Varmland live not in fear of the rich, but in fear of the King.

The dominant religion in the Holy Vanjanan Empire is "Aätt av Atjärnan Ljus", and its followers are known as "Soldater av Stjärnan Ljus". They believe that all the universe is in a constant struggle between good and evil, and that there are an infinite number of gods and goddesses constantly battling on each side in order to secure victory. They believe that the stars are worlds just like Adara, some of which are populated by mortals, and others which are wastelands created from the endless war. It is believed that all mortals were created by goddesses (and only goddesses) on both sides to do battle for them. As such, it is an incredibly violent religion, known for seeing anyone who refuses to convert as a mortal created by an evil goddess.

The Soldater av Stjärnan Ljus worship one goddess in particular, who they simply call "The Goddess". She is believed to be the goddess that created the good humans, and is said to grant her power to only the best of people. King Kalle XII claims to be one of these people, going so far as to say that he is the avatar of The Goddess' will. There are many Monks and Nuns who have spent their entire lives devoted to worshipping the Goddess, hoping to be chosen to gain her power in their next life.

There are multiple languages in the Holy Vanjanan Empire, but the most used is Vanjanani (Similar to Swedish). Ancient Vanjanani is used in the anthem, however, and most know at least those words. The currency is the Fyrapoängstjärnamynt (Often shortened to Frya). There are quarter Frya coins, half Frya coins, one Frya coins, two Frya coins, four Frya coins, eight Frya coins, and sixteen Frya coins. The coins below one Frya are made from silver, their thickness determining their value. Above one Frya, the coins are made from gold, with their width determining their value. All are stamped with the face of Kalle XII.

Major Colonial Empire: Your nation epitomises ‘Colonial Power’ with large swathes of land under your control on different continents. -3
State Controlled Economy: Your market is controlled by your ruler, every business is state owned and all works are employed by the state, you are less vulnerable to crashes in the market however with the lack of competition your country advances more slowly and the economy rises more slowly. +1
