Things are moving pretty slow IC around here.

I'm going to put that down to Ant-Man being so good that you've all been seeing it on an endless loop since it came out.

It was better than I thought it would be.

Not Winter Soldier good or the first Iron Man good but maybe slightly better than Guardians of the Galaxy.

@Morden Man I'd personally disagree with that sentiment, but I also find Guardians the most enjoyable movie the MCU has put out. Different strokes and all that.

I've liked all the movies from the MCU with the exception of CA:FA... and the really terrible Hulk movie they now say is canon. :|

Yeah, I think I'm a little lower on Guardians than a lot of people. I'm a much bigger fan of the espionage and intrigue in something like Captain America: Winter Soldier, I thought it was more ambitious to try to actually say something that resonates outside of the MCU (in regards to the liberty/security debate) than go for some of the low-hanging fruit, lowest common denominator type humour in Guardians.

You can probably infer from that I'm not exactly giddy with excitement for Deadpool.

I didn't think The Incredible Hulk movie was too bad, though Tim Roth was so badly miscast as Emil Blonsky that it hurt my insides. Roth is like, what, 5"6 at a push?

I've never cared for Hulk all that much, and that movie really cemented it for me. Cast, acting, plot. It was all bad (even for a superhero movie of that time)

I had a pretty strong feeling that it wouldn't do as well as Age of Ultron or some of this Summer's other blockbusters but I didn't expect it to do that badly! Especially with how much i loved it!

Having overheard a familiar debating to go see it while waiting for a pizza last night, a lot of people are turned off by the name without understanding the concept. Additionally, while my wife came and saw it with me, she like many other movie goers are exhausted with Superhero Movies and therefore a lesser known name such as Ant-Man really isn't a huge draw. Though I admit with Guardians' success it is something of a surprise.

Don't get me wrong, I love superhero movies as much as the next nerd, but if they don't pull back, the industry for the genre is going to crash- Hard. Which will be sad day.

It was still the #1 movie in the US, beating out Minions, and extending Marvel's industry unprecedented streak of #1 debuts.

So, you know, I wouldn't say it did really bad.
