Well in this cause you'd possibly learn the terrible knowledge of the Kanji Japanese characters and their meaning. Though I can understand the reluctance of the common layman when the subject matter has anything to do with japan...

The problem with affirmative action in the United States, is that it actually does the opposite of what it believes it does.

It causes a discriminatory bias against an individual of a certain group in favor of a person who is believed to be under discriminatory bias, whether or not they actually are.

Though going into that discussion would reveal a lot of unsavory things about my political and social views. Which I would rather not.

Just wanted to voice my view on Affirmative Action.

You should know I don't apologize enough to be canadian. Affirmative action is brought up often in America as well.

They're unsavory because modern values are way too strict on the subject of 'political correctness' and people think that just because they're offended by something means that they have the right to censor it. And that just because it offends them makes it incorrect. It's not unsavory to me, because my view is logical and realistic, it's unsavory to the soft yellow bellies that run the world these days.
