The Tavern is a tradition from two other roleplay sites I used to frequent, and I want to bring it here. The Tavern is an extradimensional location, reachable from any and all points in time and space. Anyone and Everyone is welcome, so long as they abide by the rules. The rules being that fighting is not allowed inside the Tavern, and killing another patron is forbidden. No payment is accepted for services, and when someone leaves, they are returned to their point of entrance. The focus of this RP is to try out characters you've made, see how they interact with other character types. All that is necessary to join, is that you post your character sheet in the thread, and make a post. Any character sheet format is allowed. Anyone interested in making this happen?

This tavern, where is it and whats the setting? Is it sci-fi or fantasy or modern? I'd want to know before thought of making a character.

@Redthorn AnvilBasically any character that you want to practice interaction with, post the CS once the thread is up, and start posting IC. ATM, this thread is for testing general interest in the idea, and determining which section to place the thread in. I was thinking Free Roleplay, so that newer people aren't discouraged to join in.

@antman0623Anyone from any setting imaginable is welcome. The Tavern exists in its own pocket dimension, connected to any and all universes.

@Lord Coake I used to have something almost exactly like this on another site I frequent. They can be super fun, I think. You should totally do it.

This type of RP seems to be getting pretty popular here! That's awesome.

Don't know if you've seen it, but there's another tavern-based RP just like this and I have an RP based in a giant marketplace! I'm happy to see this kind of character-focused RP popping up. :D

Would all "levels" of roleplayers be acceptable here? What I mean is; can an Advanced roleplayer pop in and "test their character out" even though it's in Free? Wouldn't three "Free" players be annoyed by having to read the generally-longer Advanced posts? And wouldn't they, because of that, try and avoid those characters for interaction?

And the other way around, I suppose.

@The Mad HatterAny level of roleplayer is allowed. I'm just seeking to encourage character interaction however possible. Obviously this isn't a perfect system, but its a fun thing I've done in the past on other sites, and I wanted to try it here. If there's any issues, I'll be sure to sort them out as soon as I can, and if necessary, request staff assistance.

I remember loving these on my old site as well, It'd be great to have a place where I can throw up a post and have fun without vomiting out a novel every time.
