Oh it will. This just happens with a lot of games when they start because people are excited, they wanna get their jump in. Now we're settling, though.

I really don't get why people drop out with such a pace, though. I personally find it exciting rather than stressful when things move so quickly.

Sometimes people just dont have the time to check back and read posts as they rapidly succeed and prefer to respond at a slower pace. I can respect that, because in some RPs I'm like that myself. I'm fairly adaptable so I can and have worked in both situations- but I've also been in that position myself.

It depends on the person. I personally have 8 stories going. 1 inactive. Which means I have to plan my free time appropriately to make all the necessary replies. If the RP moves too rapidly, I no longer have enough time. If I don't have enough time I can't make all the replies I've promised. Then I have people waiting on me. And then it goes from a hobby to hard work, churning out responses in a vain hope to just keep up.

Then there's always the fact that when you're gone and there's a full page full of replies. Every time. A lot of people move to casual or higher to get away from the rapid fire posting (like you find in free), so it's less stressful.

It's good you find it enjoyable, but just keep in mind some of us cannot be on for hours every day and have unlimited time to read and reply. So when the story moves too quickly, something has to give.

In my opinion, it's aggravating having to read through multiple posts, especially by the same people. If it wss 19 posts by 19 different people, it would be different, but the pace seems like everyone is moving on and the ones who don't respond right away (whether it's for RL reasons or not) they get stressed and annoyed.

To be fair, even though I posted once, I was debating dropping this too due to the sheer amount of posts that people started. It's an introduction post first, yet people are moving on and interacting without everyone getting set up. My character is on her way to the airport and yet, people are already meeting with each other.

I am kind of at a loss as to what to post next. I'm not sure where to leave her off at.

Bit of a time skip's always viable. Nothing was specified in your first post so she could just show up just after the last one in.

I'm just giving you all my point of view as to what the struggle is for some people. Rather than suggest and make it seem like it's my problem try to understand where I and others are coming from.

I'll post when I can but I had more I wanted to do for her other than just appear at the meeting.

Not saying you don't either. So long as you do get it. It's frustrating sometimes, especially since this is a casual group. I wasn't prepared for long posts and multiples at one time either

Yeah I'm fine with long posts normally. I'm an avid user of the advanced section. But it was a sort of wake up call when long posts and multiple posts sprang up. Excitement is fine but not everyone shares that feeling.

Well, I wont promise I wont write anything that long again. But typically I don't when working in casual.
