The world they're going to actually exists, right? I mean, it says virtual, but, um, it's not only there because the player characters are there and all the people there are actually people, right? If I were to play a character from there I'd just want to make sure they're not just a bunch of data that stops existing at the end of the RP or something.

Yeah no the virtual world is real. The game characters can't leave the virtual world, but humans can enter through accidental or deliberate teleportation

Um, had an idea for a game character but I wanted to make sure it would actually be them and not be just programmed to act like them or something.

Using the powers of the tiny electric rodent, Anna can channel and fire blasts of electricity. She can also use electricity to augment physical attacks, but... well, Anna isn't exactly particularly good at fighting physically.
Background: Really, Anna's life hasn't been anything particularly special. She went through life fairly normally, though rather shy, and making a few friends until she got to this point. Nothing particularly special happened throughout her life.
Other: Shy and somewhat reclusive, Anna spends most of her time reading or on the computer. She is a fan of action and slice of life works, as well as comedies. Preferred Weapon(s)/Power-Up(s): Saber is a Servant, a Heroic Spirit constrained to one of the Seven Servant Classes. Obviously, her class is Saber. She is extremely fast and strong, though not the fastest or strongest of Servants. She wears magic armor, which easily deflects mundane weaponry. Purely mundane weapons are incapable of harming her. It will take extremely high-power weapons, or magical weapons, to do damage. Saber is durable, and capable of recovering from grievous injury. She has two out of her three Noble Phantasms, though one is technically magecraft. The first is Invisible Air, which is capable of becoming a sheath that renders her second Noble Phantasm invisible. It can also be used as a projectile. The second is Excalibur, the Sword of Promised Victory. It is an incredibly powerful and holy weapon, a sword that is impossible to break(though this is because it's a Noble Phantasm as well as... being Excalibur). Its most powerful ability is to unleash an immense blast of prana which is capable of killing an immense amount of targets or destroying an entire fortress. She cannot simply repeatedly fire off this this ability, as she lacks Avalon, which gives her a vast amount of prana with which to use for Excalibur. She is also unlikely to use it if there's a risk of collateral damage or killing allies. At most, she could manage one shot per day if there's no risk of collateral damage or killing allies. Saber is also immune to most magic(magical weapons, however, are still dangerous). While this is a defense, it also makes it difficult, if not impossible, to buff or heal her using magic.

Other: Saber is strong-willed and stubborn, as well as very brave and utterly determined. She suppresses her emotions in most situations, though social situations often bring out her insecurities. She considers herself as a warrior first, before anything else. Saber holds little mercy towards opponents. As the king of knights, she has a strong sense of honor. In spite of this strong personality, Saber can become shy and withdrawn in regular social situations due to the previously mentioned insecurities, and it is not too difficult to fluster her. Saber has a deep adoration of good food, very eager to eat any that is given to her.

Preferred Weapon(s)/Power-Up(s): Light Burden. A Satchel that provides access to weaponry, ammuntion, food and currency. For the sake of fairness, the only weapons it can access are those from the Turok 2 arsenal. It is also capable of providing talismans that help in certain situations, such as the Leap of Faith Talisman and the Firewalk Talisman. He can also essentially 'teleport' large distances using Fold Gates, but only if he can see them whilst wearing the Folding Eye.

Background: Lachlan tends try to consider everyone's stance and feeling before his own. He's the kind of guy who just wants everyone to get along and be happy and is usually at his happiest during a multiplayer session or a night of heavy co-op gaming, whether it be a Halo Deathmatch or a mad dash for Evac with friends in Left 4 Dead. People tend to mistake him for a retro games enthusiast, since the newest console he owns is a PS2, but this is mainly because Lachlan is fairly poor and can't afford any other consoles, meaning he has to make the ones he has last.
If he is playing a game that isn't on a console, it will almost always be an emulator or an early 90's-00's game that he got online for a couple of dollars. Regardless, Lachlan still likes keeping up with the latest titles and systems by playing them with friends at their place or gaming parties.

Preferred Weapon(s)/Power-Up(s): The Warrior profession. She gains enhanced physical capabilities and skill with an assortment of weapons. She also acquires a small bag with far more storage space than it should have, when she gets it, it contains the aforementioned suit of armour, minus the helmet, a sword, a shield and a hammer. Finally, she has access to the secondary profession system, allowing her to change between an assortment of abilities (although she'll generally stick to either elemental or healing magic) almost at will. However, due to the nature of her primary profession, using magical abilities tends to tire her out quickly.
Background: There isn't really much to say. Rachel has had a boring, ordinary life for the most part. She coasted through school without any real effort, getting decent grades in the process and then headed off to university.
Other: Rachel is shy around people she doesn't know. However once she feels comfortable around someone, she becomes more cheerful and energetic, if a bit snarky at times. She can be surprisingly hammy, when she feels the situation calls for it. She is a fan of assorted manga and anime, mostly slice of life or action series, as well as assorted tokusatsu series. As far as games go, she tends to prefer RPGs and fighting games to most genres, though she has a soft spot for older Nintendo platformers, having spent a lot of her childhood with the Donkey Kong Country games, Kirby's Fun Pak and Super Mario All-Stars.

...Also, I don't really have a favourite video game character. Um, maybe Diddy Kong?
