First Arc

Start

"Well, well, well! How many new students are here! So many new faces. They all look appetizing." The man of perpetually closed eyes passed his tongue by his lips.

He was wearing a rainbow colored suit today, complete with rainbow colored tie.

He had his hands behind him as he admired the sight of the students coming into the school grounds.

"If you hurt them, I'll-" The head nurse appeared beside him.

The woman with white hair was wearing a long one piece dress that covered both of her arms and her whole legs, and then a cape with a long neck that covered most of her head, tied firmly with a knot in front of her neck.

"What, you are going to kill me? It doesn't suit you, Rolly, to be saying unsightly things like those. You'll ruin that perfect face of yours that you've preserved for so many centuries."

A vein popped in the forehead of Rollanda, before she turned her gaze to the ground.

"I swear to God... if I could, I'd kill you and be done with it." She then shakes her head. "And I meant to say that if you hurt them, it'll make more work for me so try not to do that."

"Oh, but I don't hurt them, Rolly. I just watch."

"But you could do something. Yet you don't. Inaction is heavy a sin as it is hurting them yourself."

"Too much philosophy for me." Director A lifts his hand and stops Rollanda.

Charlotte & Lin Hua

It was the opening day for the new students of Liseranna.

They would be arriving en masse now to the campus and were told to wait in the middle of the garden grounds where the cherry blossom trees were.

The campus was extremely big, as much expected, but there was a thing that was out of place....

It was the middle of summer, yet the cherry blossoms were in full bloom.

Of course, the fact that the island found itself between France and Britain made it all much stranger.

As all of the people walked into the school grounds, there were some of them that were already in the sights of some of the groups at work in the shadows of the school.

A group that was allowed to survive because every time freshmen came in, they would wreck havoc, and the headmaster loves that. Perhaps to eliminate competition for becoming the best mage, perhaps because they simply enjoyed seeing the defeat in the mages they managed to scare out of Liseranna, or perhaps out of a sick and twisted sense of preservation of the school's reputation.

They do not have a name, not officially anyway, but the students call them 'The Erasers'. They are famous enough for rumors to spread even outside the school, in noble houses and other schools alike.

They erase anyone who might seem like competition. They erase anyone who gets on their nerves. They erase anyone they don't deem skilled enough to stay in Liseranna.

There were two fallen angels, both skillful in magic. A half elf. Noble men and women. A demon here ot there. Guys with plenty interesting magic. A Phoenix looking for a master, even.

Perhaps this time, most erasals will be to keep the competition out.

The teachers too, both new and returning, seemed to be showing some promise.

A particular Chinese magician, wearing a red vest, a pair of fingerless black gloves, a pair of black pants and red with white short faulds, seemed to be particularly lax.

He had his hands behind his head and every stride he gave was increasingly exaggerated, not to mention the loud whistling that got on the nerves of more than one student. It was like he was screaming, "Come and erase me if you dare."

Nothing really did happen, though, and he clicked his tongue. He had heard before of the erasers and was looking forward to a fight with them.

"And here I thought that I could get some action right off the bat. Goes to show that they at least know how to pick their fights. In any case, where has Shikio gone off to now?"

Lin Hua started scratching the back of his head as he looked for his familiar. Despite their contract, Lin Hua would often wander about before the girl had a chance to keep up with his unusual habit of being light on his feet for everything he does, and then he complained that he couldn't find her anywhere.

Moving on from the self centered young noble, we find ourselves with Charlotte.

The small girl with tanned skin was wearing her usual one piece dress and walked about as she looked at the map she had gotten from some teacher or other.

She had two bracelets on her thin arm, a hairpin on her hair and a dress reaching just above her knees. She looked like such a simpleton that anywhere in the city they'd think her a good target to kidnap.

"Hm... This place is really big, isn't it Belly?"

The spirit did not respond, however. It was too busy keeping an eye out for anyone trying to be a smartass and pull a fast one on Charlotte.

"Che," The girl puffed her cheeks. "You are sleeping again? How can you sleep so much?"

"Good afternoon, good girls and boys!" And just as Charlotte went to the place where she was told to wait, the voice of Director A echoed through the whole school grounds.

Charlotte, however, could hear it as if the man was just centimeters away and talking with her.

Lin, who had decided to go check out the cafeteria instead of waiting for the Director's announcement, felt the voice of the man scratching the insides of his skull. Every word was painful as it went through one ear and out the other.

It seemed that if you were within the expected area of students for Director A's speech, you'd hear it as a soft voice whispering in your ear, but if you were far away it would sound as if someone was scratching a blackboard with their nails right beside your ear, augmented 10 times.

The headmaster liked to punish rule-breakers like that.

An small smirk appeared in his face before he started, "Firstly, I thank you for being here as students of Liseranna. Whether you've been here already or are a newbie in this school, it is a pleasure all the same. I, Director A, hope to make your stay enjoyable."

He bowed down. He seemed pretty gentle, at least to the ones in attendance to his announcement. He was nice enough to reduce the sound in their ears after all. They did not know that he was doing the opposite on the ones that decided to explore some before his speech.

"In any case, I like to be able to talk to my students and surprise them with the occasional magic trick. If you'd please check in your pockets, everyone." He said with a smile.

Charlotte quickly checked her pocket to see what it was.

It was her dorm arrengements, but only hers.

It'd be the same for everyone else, even the familiars, since some of them were of the opposite sex, and even for those with residence inside the island. The headmaster just wanted to f*ck with them like that.

1st Female Dorm Arrengement
  • Kurosawa Emi
  • Charlotte Roh Viskey
  • Livia Fiore

2nd Female Dorm Arrengement
  • Iravis Ustrina
  • Shikio Wahlaal
  • Lyssa Tonguetwister (yep, that's what the paper said)

1st Male Dorm Arrengement
  • Edgar Quantus
  • Richard Dowel

2nd Male Dorm Arrengement
  • Gall
  • Alucard

Teacher Arrengements
  • Ezeras Ekkenhart (another one with tonguetwister name)
  • Arthur Wick
  • Alistair Kuruz

Only Mixed Dorm Arrengement
  • Xiao Long Lin Hua
  • Vera Meadow

At the end of the paper Lin Hua and Vera had in their pockets, it could be read in extremely bubbly and girly writing;

"Good for the two of you! You will either end up humping each other or beating the other one with the stick each got up their respective asses! Have fun!

Oh, and if you wanna ask why some of the arrengements are triple and others double, well, because it seemed more fun this way."

Some were surprised by their dorm arrengements. Lin, for one, simply clicked his tongue.

Another trick of his family to find him a consort? Well, it wasn't gonna work, even if they got this peculiar headmaster roped in.

He made a ball out of the paper and threw it into the trash bin.

Charlotte was excited, though, to meet her new roommates. Pretty sure they called them 'roomies'.

"I hope everyone is satisfied with these outcomes. And if you are not, well, boo hoo, but there's nothing we can do any longer." The man smiled. "Well then, get to know each other and see you soon at the Magus games. Try not to get erased before then!"

The man throws a single handkerchief to his side, taking the attention of all the students in the area, who find themselves attracted to it for some reason or other. *cough* magic *cough*

When they look back, Director A is no longer there.

Well, all they could do now was get to their dorms and see who their roommates would be.

Alucard

Alucard flinched a bit and ducked his head back into the hearing area. He'd purposefully been standing less than a foot out of the area and the solution was quickly found. Rude. He listened to the speech, more examining others than paying much attention, but he did notice the dorm arrangements appearing in pockets. Who was Gall? People weren't exactly wearing name tags. Probably someone boring if its name was any indication. Well they were all heading to their dorms anyway so he would find out soon enough. Alucard confidently walked, nearly strutted, to his dorm, mentally classifying the people he saw on the way. Hardly anyone other than the teachers was over 18, which fit his tastes just fine. More girls than boys, also not a problem, nor would it have been if it was the other way around. Alucard wondered what this school was really like, surely with the possibility of being 'erased' this wouldn't be normal. Not that Alucard had even gone to a normal school either, so he was very curious about the whole thing. This should be fun.

The phoenix woke up with a smile, which dropped slightly as reality slowly set in. Iravis dreamt the previous night of a time when she was being praised as a deity. She couldn't exactly tell what year it was, but she guessed the memory was either in Greece or Alexandrian Egypt.

While the Academy certainly had treated the red haired creature nicely for the last three years, it wasn't the same as laying on a couch in the Pantheon with servants feeding you grapes, attending to one's every need and desire. The five room suite she lived in currently had many of its cooking and cleaning services provided for her. The phoenix didn't realize it, but these accommodations were a luxury to most of the students at the academy.

Today, she was going to be moved out of her suite to the dorms. Iravis didn't have many personal possessions, but her passion for history and religion led to a constant stack of books on her bedside table from the library.

For the most part, the red haired girl hadn't interacted much with the campus. Most of her days were spent looking around the campus from high towers, reading books, and sleeping.

Some days teachers or upper level students would come by and speak with her, seeking to learn about fire magic or hopping to meet the legendary beast. While flattered, for the most part the phoenix sent the students home disappointed. While Iravis certainly was talented in handling flames, it wasn't the mastery that some professors like Wick had learned throughout their lifetimes of constant practice, studying, and training. And while her memories were certainly entertaining stories, Iravis couldn't even answer if she was the only Phoenix in existence. Like most others on the subject, the Phoenix learned most of her information on her past lives from posthumous biographies about herself.

Even after seventeen years, she couldn't piece together her history from the hour long memories she experienced every night. But they influenced her in subtle ways.

But for now, she was supposed to be looking for a master. A professor had stated it might provide her with better control of her abilities, and also implied that she wasn't supposed to remain here forever without one. Seeing her initial reaction, the professor tried to convince her to keep an open mind on the subject.

It could be viewed as a master familiar relationship, but Iravis preferred to think of it as a Goddess Champion one. The girl grinned, eager to acquire a few worshipers among the population.

Three Hours Later

Despite being a goddess, Iravis knew it was wise to follow Director A's orders. Her animal instincts screamed that this man was simply dangerous, perhaps more so than his reputation. The phoenix forced herself to repress a blush at Director's A comment about the paired couple, but after checking her room assignment and the school map, she headed over to the female dorm immediately and entered the suite before her housemates.

Except, it wasn't a suite. It was a small room with a queen sized bed pressed against the left and back walls, and a bedside table occupying the remaining width between the right side of the bed and the right wall. The front of the room was practically taken up by a large desk attached to the wall with a bookcase hanging above it. Three wheeled chairs were currently pushed beneath the thing.

After a moment of panic, the crimson headed girl checked the only other door in the room, which led to a small bathroom with a shower/tub combo and a sink.

I guess I can live here ... Wait. There wasn't even a key to the door. Her eyes slowly drifted to the three chairs, then back to the her assignment. The phoenixes' face paled. They are living with me!?

Suddenly, the girl thought she knew what the rumors were talking about when Director A said he liked to mess with his students' lives. Unfortunately, she was only learned the beginning of it.

The goddess quickly jumped on the bed, burying her face in the sheets.

~Livia Fiore~

So...another year at Liseranna, huh? Couldn't say she was entirely looking forward to it a whole lot. Not that she really minded being here, she just didn't like places with a lot of people. That, and she had better things to do with her time the be 'sociable'. She'd rather spend time reading, studying, or simply watching the delightful dances of her spirits. Now that, was something the Pythones mage Livia Fiore could find entertaining. Not some hyped up opening ceremony like this.

The girl was a dressed in a black dress, with long sleeves that cover most of her arms and stockings that covered her legs. She took one look at the huge crowd of new students, and simply sighed.

"Tsk...no way in hell am I going anywhere near there." She grumbled, taking a quick look around to see if Gall was anywhere around. Normally she didn't keep a very tight leash on the reaper. He was fairly free to do whatever he pleased, as long as he was never that far away. She didn't see him now, though. Maybe he was off somewhere, though she couldn't imagine doing what. She thought briefly about summoning him, but dismissed the thought. She'd find some quiet room and start reading. Maybe have her spirits put on a little show.

It didn't take her that long to find a classroom that wasn't being used at the moment. A school as big as this was bound to have quite a number of them. She took a seat in an empty desk, and turning to the page she left off at so she could start reading.

Or would have, if the sudden intrusion of the principals voice didn't catch her completely off guard.

"Good afternoon, good girls and boys!"

The voice caught her completely off guard, the grating sound of nails on chalkboard causing her to visibly wince and destroy any hope she had of possibly reading at all.

"Firstly, I thank you for being here as students of Liseranna. Whether you've been here already or are a newbie in this school, it is a pleasure all the same. I, Director A, hope to make your stay enjoyable. In any case, I like to be able to talk to my students and surprise them with the occasional magic trick. If you'd please check in your pockets, everyone."

his annoying magic aside...she looked in her pocket, and pulled out her dorm arrangements for this year.

1st Female Dorm Arrangement
  • Kurosawa Emi
  • Charlotte Roh Viskey
  • Livia Fiore

Well...that wasn't something she'd been looking forward too. Maybe she'd be able to get along with one of her roommates this year, but she doubted it. Especially if they were another boring human. Perhaps she'd get roomed with an interesting creature. Maybe a demon - that would be fund to room with. Still, though, she wasn't going to get her hopes up.

Not like she ever did that to begin with. Might as well get it over with though, so she closed her book and headed towards the dorms.

____

~Lyssa Nemine Nemorin Nemorienne~

Unlike Livia, a certain demon dressed in a black and white dress, was very much looking forward to the school, considering it was her first year here.

"Oooh, so many people!" Lyssa commented from her perch. "Ahaha, I can't wait to meet and play with them allll!~" Where was she perched you might ask? Well, she had managed to climb on one of the cherry trees. They had just looked so pretty she couldn't help herself. Plus, she had never seen one before coming here. She couldn't just not admire their beauty from up close. So she had decided to do the logical thing. Climb one, and observe the others from up here! A brilliant idea, if she did say so herself, and it had turned out quite nicely. In fact, she might start taking naps up here, it was so comfortable.

She couldn't wait to meet all of them. Or at least, she'd attempt to meet all of them. She'd have to do some serious meeting and greeting, but she was certain she could pull it off. It wasn't like she was going to be putting all (or any) of her free time into her actual studies, after all.

It was then the Director started speaking. Kind of. It was weird. It was like, he was talking directly in her head. She listened as best as she could though, a bit confused about what he meant by being 'erased'. You couldn't erase people. Unless he meant it in some metaphorical sense, but then she had no idea what that could mean. For a few seconds she simply sat on the tree branch, trying to think of what that could have meant.

Until she remembered to look in her pocket, and immediately started laughing.

2nd Female Dorm Arrangement
  • Iravis Ustrina
  • Shikio Wahlaal
  • Lyssa Tonguetwister

Well, it wasn't her last name, but she knew it was her because it was true. Her last name was a tongue twister, even for her. She could never get it right. But that wasn't important. For now, she needed to go meet her new roommates! And what better way to meet them, than to get there first and give them a big, friendly greeting!

The demon jumped from the tree, almost landing right on someone in the process.

"Ehe, sorry, kind of in a hurry! I'll buy ya some ice cream later!~" She called back as she ran towards the dorms. OOh, this was so exciting!~

It didn't take the running demon much longer after that to get to the dorms. Well, not unless she got distracted.

After getting lost once, and stopping to munch on a chocolate bar, she finally managed to make it to the dorm. She hoped she was the first one there! She could give them all their own special little greeting if she was! After arriving, the demon practically kicked down the door, loudly announcing her presence to whoever might be in the room.

"Awww, and here I was hoping I'd be the first one!" She puffed out her cheeks slightly, pouting just a bit as she saw Iravis on the bed. "Aha, ah well! I guess I'll just have to be faster next time!~" She grinned, the pout immediately disappearing. The demon jumped onto the bed herself, right next to Iravis. "Hi hi! You're my roommate right! I'm Lyssa! Nice to meet ya!~"

]Gall the Reaper[

Gall had found himself a place among the cherry blossoms from which he could get a good view of this ceremony. His master was among the other students, gathered in a large clump about to hear the words of this Director A. A curious being, this A. However it didn't matter, Gall was here with one reason, to protect Lady Fiore. it was of course, the only reason he did things anymore, the only other reason he ever having being her orders. He wasn't a mindless slave, and see wasn't a strict mistress. He had chosen to protect her, his reasons being his own.

The Director spoke then, not just with words but thought, penetrating the minds of those nearby. Gall heard too of course, however he did not possess pockets. He did however conventionally find a piece of paper folded between two of his ribs, and pulled it out with one hand to read.
2nd Male Dorm Arrangement

  • Gall
  • Alucard

"Oh, and if you wanna ask why some of the arrengements are triple and others double, well, because it seemed more fun this way." Of course, Gall and his mistress have been here before, and the Director's insistence on madness was now largely ignored by Gall. Of course, he would be remaining near his master. He was to have nothing with this 'Alucard' creature, unless of course it was necessary to protect Lady Fiore. So instead of going to the male dorms as the crowds dispersed Gall fell from the tree, slowly as if made of nothing more than air, and upon hitting the ground began to move towards the female dorms, though not taking any steps. There wasn't point nor time to waste. In moments he was outside the structure that Lady Fiore would be making residence in this school year, and though Gall wouldn't be permitted inside without need like the years before he instead slowly hovered upward until he was on the branch of a tree which allowed Gall to peer directly through the nearby window into the room his master would be within.

}Arthur Wick{

Waking up in his apartment Arthur began his day. It was a new school year, another chance to show people how hot fire can burn. Also, another chance to be ridiculed by Rollanda and how he isn't supposed to harm students. It's hardly Arthur's fault if they don't understand pyromancy. He thought this as he ate his breakfast of cereal and buttered toast. When that was done he went to brush his teeth and groom his beard, he has to be presentable for the new students.

While cleaning himself up he felt something rubbing firmly against his leg. Looking down he of course saw Merlin, his pet, well pet wasn't a good word. Maybe kid? No not that either. Arthur decided on simply thinking his dragon. The creature was covered in red scales and wasn't much larger than a cat, no fire breath either. Regardless Arthur knew that the leg rubbing meant either petting or feeding, so with a few more sweeps of his comb through his beard Arthur set down the cheap plastic grooming supply. Walking into the kitchen/living room Arthur opened the freezer and pulled out a fat cut of pork and dropped the frozen piece of meat into the nearby bowl. Arthur then closed the freezer and looked over to the bowl he used earlier to eat. "I'll clean that later." He said to himself as he moved to his bedroom to get dressed, it was hardly fitting for a teacher at a school of magic to show up in soft pants and a short sleeved shirt. Opening the door to his closet wide he stared at the row of red apparel, the various coats and hats and boots that he could wear. After some thought Arthur decided on a simpler outfit, though still befitting a master of fire, with shoulder and knee guards and a hat with a stark white feather gracing it. Dressed Arthur then looked at the nearby clock, "Five minutes late. If I leave now I'll never make it in time for the director's speech." Arthur said.

"Of course, I can just be there now." He said with a smirk on his face. Grabbing Sorrow's Reach Arthur then stood in a sturdy stance as white energy began to lift off of him. "Arrrgh-" He began before he disappeared, gone.

And then he was at the garden grounds, hidden behind a tree. He turned the corner to see the rainbow back of the Director, man was a madcap but wielded insane power. Arthur couldn't help but admire the man. The Head Nurse was next to the Director, Arthur normally gave her a wide berth, too many students with burn wounds. So instead of walking up to them Arthur just stood to the back and off to the side, a fair enough place to stand. Then the speech began. Of course Arthur reached into his pocket, curiosity was one of his strong suits. Pulling out the piece of paper he saw his name with some of the other instructors. Arthur choose to respectfully disregard it completely and watched as it burned away to dust on the wind. His own doing of course. Dust on the wind on his mind Arthur decided he would see how Ustrina was doing in an hour or two, the girl was of course an interesting creature and Arthur couldn't help but be intrigued by her. In the meantime he took a step towards the Director and then found himself staring at a handkerchief. Of course it was magic, but the effect was the same regardless, the Director was gone. Arthur decided that since he in fact had nothing better to do would start walking towards the girl's dorms, the phoenix was to be moved there this year after all.

Vera Meadows

Once again, a new school year had started for the young Lady Vera. Although her face didn't show it that much, the girl was struggling to contain her excitement. A new year meant new experiences, and new experiences meant new… well, experiences. Even if there were bound to be many mishaps down the road of her fourth year at Liseranna Academy, Vera was looking forward to it. She was now even able to be put into a squad of her own and go on those oh so exhilarating missions the people above her would gossip about on a daily basis. The butterflies in Vera's stomach where continuing to multiply by the second.

Dressed in a beige trench coat with a grey and white, (just over) knee-length dress, Vera took soft steps into the ever growing crowd of students. At least she could actually breathe and see what was happening overhead; being around 5'9 definitely had its perks.

New faces, old faces, just-popped-out-of-my-mother's-womb faces… Was it her, or where the amount of younger students getting larger by the year?

"Good afternoon, good girls and boys!"

It was as if the man was right in front of her, speaking the exact words he was currently voicing to the rest of the sea of teens. It was a little creepy to be honest. Like a small whisper, Director A's voice resounded in Vera's head.

Following the man's instructions, Vera felt in both of her coat pockets, finding a small piece of paper after taking her hands out.

Only Mixed Dorm Arrangement

Only mixed dorm arrangement.

Only mixed dorm arrangement.

"Good for the two of you!" it read in swirly handwriting, "You will either end up humping each other or beating the other one with the stick each got up their respective asses! Have fun!

Oh, and if you wanna ask why some of the arrengements are triple and others double, well, because it seemed more fun this way."

Well, that was the unusual Director A for her.

A boy and a girl in the same dorm together… This is probably going to be an experience I'll never cease to remember.

As soon as the crowd had been dismissed, Vera made her way to her brand new dorm. Out of all the other female students that were attending this school, Vera just had to be the one paired with someone of the opposite sex.

Marvellous.

Entering the room, Vera gazed around at her surroundings. Not much difference from the old one she shared with some other girls a year back, counting out the different arrangements of the furniture. As long as Vera had space she wasn't going to be complaining at all.

As soon as her new dormmate would come in, Vera would reluctantly hold her hand out and smile. A small, almost eerie looking smile.

Of course, first impressions came before actual expressions.

"You must be Xiao Long Lin Hua, correct? It's a pleasure to meet you."

Her voice was clear yet soft, and had an obvious English accent, albeit a very posh sounding one. It honestly wasn't that hard to not mistake Vera Meadows for a noblewoman.

"I do hope we get along this year."

Richard had been well within the listening zone when Director A started his speech, so he wasn't affected from the detrimental effects. He dug into his pockets and retrieved his Dorm Assignment. "Parlor trick," He muttered, rolling his eyes, and then groaned out loud, "Wonderful, I'm stuck with knight boy." He huffed and then cast his gaze around the room. He would want to watch for any of the erasers, not for his own sake of course, but for the newbies.

If there was one thing he couldn't stand, it was bullies, and the Erasers were just that when it came down to it. When he first showed up all those years ago, they tried to weed him out. An pyro had decided to try to burn him out, and left most of his face burned. He likes to think he earned some respect when he dished it back at him, but it cemented his place here at least.

Richard flexed his gloves, and began to head out and make his way to his dorm. As he reached the building, he quietly slipped inside and entered his room. He gave a smile, realizing he was the first to get there, he clambered up to the top bunk, claiming it like a champion. He fell back on the bed, and began to relax while he relished the moments he would have without his room mate.

Kurosawa Emi

A new school year... I wonder if anyone would want to be my friend... No, I shouldn't get too far ahead of myself. Shaking her head, she turned back to pay attention to what the headmaster was saying. She wore a long sleeve white blouse under a dark red one piece dress what went down to the top of her feet, which had a pair of black flats on them. Pulling down her sleeve, she thought about the 'Erasers' that were well known around here. She would have been more worried if she actually cared about being erased as much as others might have. The headmaster looked like a cheerful man with a big personality and she admired him for that.

After a while, the ceremony finally ended and she checked her pocket as instructed.

1st Female Dorm Arrangement

Looking at the paper, she cringed at the sight of her name and put the piece of paper back into her pocket, heading to the dorms. I feel bad... What if they don't want anything to do with me? Or what if I end up bothering them? Worries began to fill her mind as she walked through the large school building. However, once she saw the cherry blossoms in full bloom, she couldn't help but stare at them with hopeful eyes for a while. Since she had not been allowed outside in March and April (For reasons) she had not seen them in a long time. That didn't last as she ended up in front of the dorm room after a while.

Inhaling, she stepped in and found that no-one had arrived yet. She felt relieved as she set down her bag. Sighing, she sat down on one of the beds near her and began to fall asleep. She had not been able to sleep the night before due to a sudden pain in her stomach that did not want to simmer down. Maybe A little bit of rest might not hurt.

~Livia Fiore~

With her book tucked under her arm, It did not take long for Livia to reach the dorms. She kept a brisk, but calm pace, not making eye contact with the other students and making sure to keep to herself. She didn't want any distractions, or being bothered by people she didn't know. Not like any of them would, anyways. Most probably thought she looked rather unapproachable, considering the frown she was wearing. She didn't care that none of them would even attempt to. She was perfectly fine with being ignored, it was the norm for her at least.

With a sigh, she opened the door to her dorm, only to find it housing another occupant. She was another boring little human from the looks of it. Or at least, she appeared to be. On the plus side, she was decidedly cute by her standards. She'd at least attempt to be civil enough, then. Or actually, right now she should try to stop herself from saying something incredibly stupid and offensive like she always did when she was meeting a new person.

"Ah...hi." She said to the other girl, trying to think of something not so entirely offensive to say. Her greeting probably sounded a bit stiff, perhaps even forced. "You're my roommate this year, right?" She continued, walking over to a desk, placing the book she was carrying on it.

"Livia Fiore." She turned to the other girl, adjusting the glove on her left hand. A little nervous habit she had developed when meeting new people. "Pythones mage. I have a familiar around here somewhere, too so if a reaper suddenly shows up, no he's not here to kill you." She chuckled, managing to relax just a bit. "So what's your name? Not that I really care, but if we're going to be roommates I guess we might as well attempt to get along."

...well fuck. She just had to add that last bit, because she couldn't keep her damn mouth shut.

Shikio Wahlaal

Interactions: @GrafRoy Zeppeli Lin.

She felt the wind smoothly stroke her skin and whispered through the trees. Standing atop the highest point she could find with crossed arms and a bitter yet serious expression on her face. How Shikio had gotten to the top of the entire academy would probably seem like a mystery to many if they saw her considering she had no wings. Yet Her agility and determination was enough for her to use whatever means necessary to scale the building first thing as she arrived. Why?... Simply because she wanted a good look over the land to know what she dealt with... as Lin so graciously had abandoned her on the way here and her not having the time to waste hunting him down all the time when he wandered off. Yet she knew exactly where his scent was leading in case she needed to find him.

But she was quite content with the warm sensation of the sun and the pleasant touch of wind up here. She was able to tell everything that went on to most extent, how people moved around... how they breathed... let out wind... yeah... some of them didn't smell very good at all. She could probably spend the entire day up here if she didn' t have to eat... yet she was somewhat interupted when a Man and a Woman walked out below to 'announce' something to everyone. Shikio peered down at them from above as she somewhat stalked closer before listening in on what they had to say... or not to say as they seemed to use magic to speak.

Shikio's right ear flicked several times as the Headmaster seemed to whisper in it and she had to get down on all four and scratch it with her right foot to attempt to get rid of the annoying sound... It wasen't hart to tell that the Headmaster was not human, he seemed a bit to vampirish for her sense speaking about feeding upon them or something... well she wouldn't let him eat her magic... or drink her blood. Then she she flinched slightly as a note popped up beside her and fell down on the roof next to her... Shikio had no pockets, so the note had no place to come to rest... unless it would attempt to find somewhere else to end up.

Picking up the note Shikio starred at it for several moments before twisting and spinning it up, down, sideways and upside down before tilting her head somewhat. She brought it closer and sniffed at it for a few moments before pulling it away quickly with a frown of disgust. Letting out a growl she flicked his head to the wind and sniffed it deeply for a few seconds. Then she leaped down on a balcony below her hands first, catching hold of the railing she landed gracefully at all four before shooting off to land on a pillar several feet away... then she continued like that until she reached the Cafeteria where she could spot Lin.... seeing him turn a paper into a ball and throw it at the trash bin she immedietly caught it in the air with her hand as she landed on the remaining three. She then starred intensly at Lin with her eyes seeming to glow for a moment before the girllet out a sigh and got up to standing again. "What does it say... she said in a rather commanding tone as she handed him both notes. She looked quite annoyed for a while yet she sank down in the chair accross from her master with a heavy thud in the chair as she pulled it out. "I WANT ROAST STEAK!" she shouted audioably across the Cafeteria, approximitly a moment after her belly rumbled making her pout and her ears to lower fold back somewhat.

Alistair Kuruz

Pale fingers traced with intricate crimson runes combed through a black mess of hair, strands falling over the sleep deprived eyes of the fingers owner. Glasses in the other hand, the man known as Liseranna’s Prodigy poured over the tome he had selected from the Academy’s Library. It was the history and the rank and file of the Angelic Army and Demonic hordes. Alistair sighed gently, the work was mostly opinion and awfully cited...why did he always have to deal with this. The fingers moved from the hair to the bridge of his nose, rubbing gently to alleviate some stress that the tome has been giving him.

“What bullshit” Alistair swore violently and the tome was tossed aside. The black haired teacher stood up groggily, grabbing the glass of ice and scotch that was beside him. His mouth pressed to the glass and he downed the rest of the scotch. He growled gently as the burn slipped down his throat. It was morning but Alistair hadn’t slept. Drinking through the night was probably a bad choice on the first day of school. Boy he was glad he had a good constitution. Alistair closed his eyes and and replaced his glasses. He looked down at the jeans and white shirt he had on and knew he needed to go shower and change.

-Some time later-

Alistair walked through the crowds of the students that paid him no mind. He was young enough to look like an older returning student, that was a slight benefit. Before they knew he was their teacher, he could learn some things. Regardless he watched the new and old returning. He greeted some old students of his and smiled, nodding gently. He watched the Director and raised an eyebrow. He could never comprehend that man, he respected him...but didn’t understand how he could be so strong and so lax at the same time. Alistair flexed his fingers gently, putting a cigarette to his mouth and igniting it with a flame on the tip of his index finger. He breathed in gently, the tobacco filling his lungs. The nerves he had been feeling passed as his eyes were drawn to the handkerchief that the Director had thrown. He frowned. Such a wasteful trick. Alistair decided to walk towards his classroom, to await the first class of his.

Alucard

Whoever this Gall was he seemed to be some combination of lazy, idiotic, and rude. The sheer gall of- maybe that was why it was named that. Feeling slightly irritated already Alucard put a sticky note on the door that stated that Gall had been rude in not showing up and that Alucard would return later. He stalked away, now with a mischievous grin on his face. He wondered if he could sneak into any of the girl's dorms. It seemed likely that there would be some sort of ward in place, perhaps only active at night, but it was worth checking. You know, just in case. Besides, it was only afternoon, did they expect the students to go to their dorms and do nothing until night fall? Boring. Alucard was curious about the specifics of this school, knowledge was power after all, and france is bacon.

Charlotte

Charlotte headed for her own dorm room. Of course, she never did expect that both of her roommates would look so much older than herself.

That's not counting that Charlotte was actually really small, about 10 centimeters bigger than an adult dwarf.

"Oh, we are all here already? Cool!" Charlotte shouted and ran towards the center of the room. "I'm Charlotte! It's good to meet you!"

The girl introduced herself, loud as always and extending both arms to her sides as she did so.

It seemed that one of her roommates, Livia, had just said something rude, but well, as the newcomer, Charlotte had no way of knowing that.

The voice at the back of her head compelled her to introduce him as well.

"And I kind of have this spirit living with me. His name is Belly!" she said with a big smile. "Eh? What? Oh. He says that he is 'Belphegor' not Belly."

She moved her eyes from the one on the bed and to the other one standing.

"So, what are your names? And are you mages? Can you make a rabbit appear from a hat?!"

An stupid question, certainly, even more so when they were in a school for mages who could much more than just taking rabbits out of hats.

Lin Hua

Lin thought that he should leave for his dorm any time soon.

Shikio, though, appeared seemingly out of nowhere and was quick to hand Lin two notes. One was the one he had thrown over his shoulder some seconds ago, the other, probably the one with her own dorm arrengement.

It was odd for master and familiar not to be in the same room, but well, Lin could just summon her if needed.

"That's right, you can't read." Lin shook his head.

He regretted ever thinking that the girl would be fine on her own.

He took both papers and first informed the girl of the contents of her own.

"It's where we will be staying. Though we are in separate rooms. I'll be staying with some girl or other called 'Vera'." After that, he skimmed over Shikio's own dorm arrengement. "And you'll be with Iravis Ustrina and Lyssa... tonguetwister? That's either a bad joke or a really bad choice in life."

He then turned to meet the girl's eyes again. Lin knew that it was best to keep her happy. Whimsical like him at times, but Shikio was a lot more... volatile.

Her sudden craving of meat was prove of that.

"I'll buy you some. Let's just go meet this girl and then to class for now. You can wait for lunch break, right?"

He turned on his heel and headed for the exit. Shikio could either follow him or stay in the cafeteria, though.

Arriving to his dorm, Lin Hua took a deep breath before opening the door.

The girl there was quick to receive him with an amicable attitude. Of course, he expected that, and the small crooked smile too.

"Heir of the Xiao Long house, Lin Hua. Pleased to meet you." He simply said, without taking her hand and just heading over to one of the beds of which, thankfully, there were two.

Lin Hua's english was pretty good, but there was the obvious small Chinese accent that popped up every now and again.

"Hope we get along, I guess." He said with a dismissive wave of his hand. "Also, if my parents roped you into this, then don't worry, go ahead and try to do what the others do. I'll just be over here, ignoring you."

He was already used to these developments. They were always self centered and whimsical. Once her whimsy faded away, she'd probably request a change of dorm.

He was unsure of whether the director would be all right with that, though.

Kurosawa Emi

He was wearing a mask and had a knife in his hand. Running endlessly, Kurosawa began to feel faint."Come here," he kept saying these words so calmly with ease. He was merely walking yet she had to run to get even a tad bit far away from him. No... No! I don't want him near me...NO!

She awoke with wide eyes but squinted at the lights in the room "Nnn~". She slowly took in her surroundings and found herself looking at a beautiful girl that appeared to be a human but was not to be underrated by such things. Is she my roommate? The girl then began to speak, introducing herself. The words were slurred due to the fact that she had just woken up but she could process them. "Y-yes.. My name is Kurosawa Emi.. Fallen angel and a witch, V I-its nice to meet you. I will t-try my best as to not get in your way..." She bowed her head and lifted it back up, slightly smiling at the girl named Livia. I hope that she doesn't hate me already. Maybe I should get out some tea. My head is beginning to hurt..

--

Soon, an adorable girl came into the room who appeared to be younger than a lot of the students that she had already seen. Even though she was younger, Emi couldn't help but feel a bit more nervous due to the fact that she had just met two new people at once. "N-Nice to meet you as well. Kurosawa Emi, fallen angel and a witch. Ra-rabbits? N-no, I apologize. I d-don't think that I can." Her eyes began to wander a bit to the side due to nerves but she tried her best to keep eye contact. If she had her hat on at the moment, she could have taken something out but that was not the case.

~Livia Fiore~

Oh, well it seemed like at least this 'Emi' didn't pay her little faux pas too much mind. That was welcoming. She had apparently been sleeping, too. Ah, curse her inability to read people. At least she didn't seem too upset about it. In fact, she seemed rather shy. Hmph...well, she wasn't really one to understand shyness, considering she had a bad habit of speaking whatever came to her mind. But well, she ignored that for now. Fallen Angel? So she really wasn't a human? Well, that just made her day so much better.

"Aha, don't worry about it." She said, her demeanor changing quite a bit upon hearing she wasn't a human. Gah, that smile was just adorable. "As long as you don't interrupt my studying, we're probably not gonna have any problems. I doubt I'll be spending much time in this dorm, anyways." She didn't get much longer of a chance to speak with her, however. Soon enough, their other roommate showed up. And much to her displeasure...it was a kid. A kid of all things.

"Oh...who let a child in here." She harrumphed. "I do hope I'm not going to be baby sitting you." She frowned at the child. If there was one thing she hated more than people, it was children. Ugh, she couldn't stand the annoying little brats. "Tsk...not that it matters, much I suppose. I doubt I'd be able to kick you out even if I wanted too. Livia Fiore. Not that it matters to anyone." She ignored the comment about some entity known as 'Belphegor'. Sounded like a Spirit. So she was a possessed Pythones mage, then? Ooh, well, she always welcomed competition. "And no, of course we can't pull rabbits out of hats. We're not some street magician." She sighed, giving the girl a mildly annoyed look, though it was quickly replaced by a small smile. She supposed she could do that. If little Charlotte wanted to see some magic, well she'd definitely oblige her.

"Well, actually. I suppose I can, though I don't have a hat. How about I show you? " She gave Charlotte a grin, a coy giggle escaping through her mouth.

She adjusted both of her gloves, making sure they were fit snugly on her arms, just a subtle spark of magic escaped from her gloves, but it was almost unnoticeable. Next, she moved just a few feet in front of Charlotte. Summoning Gall was quite easy, really. All she had to do was just say a few simple words, but first...what kind of scare would this be if a cloaked reaper just showed up by himself? No no, she'd set the atmosphere just a bit.

"Watch my glove, hmm?" As she said that, a little red colored dancing spirit drew their attention, seeming to be summoned from the ground around Livia. It was a simple one, shaped like a misshapen human skull with unusually sharp teeth. It danced around in the air, circling around Charlotte, before disappearing. "Pythones mage. I can summon spirits. Not very nice ones, really, but I find them to be rather...adorable."

Suddenly, the lights in the room went out. She had one of her spirits flip the switch, sneaking around to it while their attention was probably on her and the other spirit. A simple task, giving the command to a single spirit. To the other two though, it would look like it just went off out of nowhere unless they had been watching the light switch. Their attention would now either be on the light, or momentarily confused from the sudden happening. At least, she hoped. Maybe it was just her who got slightly startled whenever a lightbulb went out suddenly.

At any rate...while their attention was hopefully off of her, she quietly whispered.

"I summon you, Gall."

Wasn't the most awe inspiring summon, but she didn't need it to be terribly long or glamorous. With any luck, he'd be summoned in some conveniently hilarious spot. Well, hilarious for her. Frightening for Charlotte.

Shikio Wahlaal

Interactions: @GrafRoy Zeppeli

Shikio's mutterings and obvious pouting suddenly became silent at the mention of the rooms being different, and a lot of stuff just making her want to flip the table!:... *Crash* the table flew some feet away spinning a few times as Shikio's arms flew up in a wild tantrum. "WHAAAT!?... Who's crazy idea was that?... what am I supposed to do?... tuck in with some weird animals in some cage or something!?. Grrrrrr" she growled as she rose up shaking with anger. Then suddenly became quiet again at the mention of food... "YES YES... Buy me lots of food!... Meat meat!... I waaant meeeeaaaat" she said panting heavily and drooling slightly with her tail wagging back and forth eagerly at the thought of chomping down on some juicy looking meat.

However... probably everything got silent in an instant, like as if she been petrified she was completely still at the words that followed. It... had to be the foulest of words, the most ugliest, darkest and most terrifying thing Lin had ever said in his entire life... SHE!... Shikio... that was hungry... NOW!.. not later, couldn't get her food.... NOOW. Her eyes started to glow red and a dark blue aura started burning around her as she tightened her fist as hard as she could quaking with anger. In a second she looked like she could explode!... yet.

Suddenly everything just faded, a Wicked grin shoot across her face revealing her fangs that sparkled slightly in the light. She started chuckling darkly with evil ringing in every tone. "Yes... yes... leets go meat this 'Girl' of yours... I'm sure it will be... delish...ful" she said and followed Lin with a bunch of dark wisps hanging around her head as horns seemed to want to sprout any moment.

===

As Lin opened the door and had introduced himself Shikio quickly followed and pushed past him starring intensly at the other Female. "Hello... Girl.... Pleased to Meat you~... Oh my... I must say you do look Sweet... I could just... Gobble... you... up!...." she said and started walking towards the girl slowly.

Another year at the academy, another year to potentially move up in the ranks and make more of a name for himself. Another year to potentially make friends and enemies. Another year to deal with Director A's shenanigans. Logarius stood around similar to most of the other students, keeping his mouth strategically closed so as to not give off any first impressions he didn't mean to or already didn't by his manner of dress. Didn't want to go about attracting any more attention than was needed.

After checking his pocket for his dorm assignment, and subsequently being distracted by a magic trick (He ALWAYS fell for that one!), he was surprised to put together that he had no dorm assignment. Perhaps this was a bit of trickery on the end of the Director. He always was a slippery, tricks-y man. It was not that much of an issue, he would simply have to find out who he could room with. Logarius quickly came to the conclusion that he was delusional. No way that anyone was going to let some strange dude in a giant fur coat with gold teeth room with them. Not for free, most likely.

He decided it would be in his best interest to head towards the dorms and wait to see if anything was free after everyone settled in. If there were no empty places for lodging, then chances were that he'd have to room with someone. As he stalked towards the dorms, he took note of everyone around, spotting a few newer faces and a few older faces, but none that he knew in particular. All he thought, as he mulled over the idea of rooming with a complete and utter stranger, was two words. Hoo boy.

]Gall the Reaper[

Gall had been outside the window, watching events unfold. First Lady Fiore came in and spoke with the girl on the bed, then a smaller girl came in. He could actually almost hear her through the window. Lady Fiore played with some of her spirits, and one of them did away with the light. Then he was willed into the room, of course he would come. Even if it was a bad joke Gall had yet to not answer the call of his mistress. Of course, this being a joke he didn't feel obliged to appear right next or behind her. Instead, Gall would appear right in front of the door leading out of the room, his scythe held with both hands and his skull head staring at the girls in the dark. His was of course, not likely to be seen until the lights returned, Gall being robed in black.

The phoenix couldn't help but jump slightly at her roommate's enthusiastic entrance. After practically kicking down the door, the cheerful woman jumped to the right of the goddess, introducing herself loudly and occupying some of Iravis' precious bed space.

After a moment for recovery, the red haired girl scooted over to the bed's left side, sitting herself up against the wall. The phoenix knew she had to meet them eventually, and making a hostile first impression was a bad idea.

With more distance between them, the Goddess began to observe this cheerful hellion. Well hellion is more accurate than I thought. This girl's a demon. Seeing her adorned in classic black and white, the Phoenix was at least comfortable that they wouldn't accidently confuse their wardrobes. "I'm Iravis. The pleasure is mine."

_______

"Hehe, nice to meet ya Iravis." She replied cheerfully immediately after the other girl introduced herself. The demon sat up on the bed, leaning towards the other girl. She was probably invading Iravis' personal space just a tiny bit, but she seemed oblivious to the fact. "I'm Lyssa, but just all me Lys! My last name is a mouth full, so I'm not even gonna bother. They didn't even spell it on the dorm sheet."

She leaped off the bed with the same energy she had leaped onto it with, just now taking a look around the room. Well, it could be worse. The only glaring issue she saw with it, was that there was no place to hide her snacks and no video game consoles. Or a computer. Like, how was she supposed to live without a computer? Oh sweet lord she hoped they had Wi-Fi in this place.

But that was for later.

"Hey hey!" She said, quickly spinning on her heel, back around to Iravis. "So what do you like to do for fun?" She questioned. "I was thinking the three of us roommates could go do something since it's our first day here. Well, my first day anyways! I've never been here before."

_______

Iravis calmed down a little when the hellion backed off leaped off the bed. "I think it would be wise for us to wait for the other roommate before deciding if we should head out."

The phoenix lifted up a book about herself, shaking it next to her head. "I try to learn from the past." To be honest, she had never met someone quite this bubbly, and she couldn't resist asking a question back. "And what would you do for fun?"

____________

"Oh right. They're not here yet." Lys replied, idly playing with her tail as she quietly chuckled. "Got ahead of myself there, didn't I?" Learn from the past? She didn't entirely know what that was supposed to mean...but that book didn't look like it'd be any fun to read. But well, she wasn't really one much for reading in the first place.

"Hmm...me? Let's see....play video games, hang out with people, eat sweets, play video games, meeting new people. Ah...a lot of stuff." She hummed. "Swimming, climbing trees, messing with people sometimes! Just harmless little pranks, though. Most of the time I like to practice my magic. But eh, hehe, it can get a little destructive and practicing it can be troublesome. Last time I did I accidentally brought down a three story building. Heh, oops."

________

Iravis listened to the other girl half-heartedly, but couldn't resist releasing a small grin upon hearing the end to the woman's tale. In her past lives, the Phoenix was familiar with "accidently" setting a town on fire during a battle. The goddess had to admit this put a few embers of curiosity in her soul. "So what sort of magic allows you to 'accidently' bring down a third story building, hmmm?" It would be important to know the abilities of her roommates so that she could handle the two.

________

"Oh oh, that's easy! I'm an Alchimist!" She replied with a grin, before leaning forward, holding a finger to Iravis' face. "And just hold that thought. You're thinking alchimists create stuff, not destroy stuff, hmm? Well you are wrooooong. Well, kind of. They do do that mostly." She smiled with a small giggle. She took another step back, looking for something she could show her an example with that wouldn't harm the structural integrity of the building. Hmmm...ah! Her dorm list. That'd do. She reached into her pocket, taking out the sheet of paper.

"See this piece of paper?" She held the paper in front of Iravis'. "Sure ya do? Annnnd-" As she spoke, the paper suddenly almost seemed to disintegrate. Tiny pieces of paper floated to the ground, leaving nothing remaining of the previous dorm arrangements. "Poof, gone! How'd I do that? Well, I broke down the Cellulose fibers by separating the chemical bonds between them, basically turning it into little tiny specks~!" She seemed to be quite proud of her accomplishments, and was wearing quite a big grin. "So yeah, I have to be careful with it." She chuckled sheepishly. "If I don't focus, or designate what exactly I'm deconstructing, I could accidentally make a giant hole in an apparently important support column. But I do have to know what the chemical or elemental make up of what I'm deconstructing is, though."

_______

Iravis couldn't resist raising an eyebrow at the cheerful one's response. Apparently her initial assessment of the demon was wrong. She was cheerful, and probably naïve to the ways of the world, but Lyssa was by no means stupid. The goddess couldn't help but be pleasantly surprised, her eyes widening slightly as the demonstration occurred. A few seconds after her roommate finished speaking Iravis responded in a slightly higher pitch than normal. "Seems that you have some talent."

But now that the phoenix had learned what she wanted, Iravis tried to avoid starting another conversation. This girl exposed far too much information and simply rambled when asked a question, which annoyed the goddess. They were roommates, yes, but not best friends. But walking out at this point would probably be rude, and the phoenix didn't seek to make enemies.

So the goddess used the full force of her divine will to bless the demon with a smile.

______

Lyssa smiled broadly at the praise.

"I'm also a pretty good martial artist. My dad doesn't like magic a whole lot, so he taught me." She finished, before giving Iravis' a curious look. "So what about you? What kind of magic can you do?"

_______

"A magician never reveals her secrets." Iravis' released a mischievous grin towards the poor demon. Being clever, even if only a little, was always a pastime for the goddess.

Before either could reply though, the Phoenix suddenly started to feel this fire build in her chest, which meant one of two things. Either there was an extremely large fire in the area, or a powerful pyromancer was approaching. Given the lack of smoke, the Goddess decided she had a visitor.

Bless this man for releasing me from this place.

The red haired girl hopped off the bed, brushed past the hellion, and opened the door before the pyromancer on the other side could knock. "Pleased to see you, Mr. Wick."
