Real quick before I post, just something on the briefing I'd like to clear up. Do the photographs show enough tracks to determine how many legs the creature likely has? I'd think that around 6 pairs of prints would be enough to make at least an educated guess.

Great question, sorry that I didn't make that clear. The photograph shows around sixteen prints- which may suggest about eight legs.

Gosh, guys, I have to say these are some pretty good ideas we're coming out with. Maybe we should handle giant monster attacks in real life.

Also I love that Huan Xiao is traveling with what's basically a weapon of mass destruction. It's a good thing we have a private flight, can you imagine trying to get that through customs?

That's right. I want to make sure everyone gets a proper introduction before moving the plot along, it's only fair to you as players.

If everyone's cool after that, next thing is to land the plane, meet up with a few Army officers, then head off to labs, patrols, planning centers, wherever we feel we'd be most useful. I know everyone's eager to get to the heart of the matter!

I'd say it depends on what you're trying to do with it. Did you have something specific in mind?

Interesting thoughts. I'd say the pipe bombs are fine, anyone with basic chemistry knowledge can crank out a few of those. Thought it's worth noting that even an underequipped military like the Irish Army would have ready access to safer and higher-grade explosives. As for armor-piercing rounds, I'd rule that building enough to equip a decent number of riflemen would take at least a week of nonstop effort, and I feel even that's pretty generous.

True but the thing that pipe bombs have over other forms of explosives is the heavy amount of shrapnel they can produce on impact. Even enemies in heavy armor can't handle around 10 soldiers throwing pipe bombs it is bound to hit a vital spot.

For the armor piercing rounds sounds fine just now I'm thinking of whatever weapons can hit past or go through armor plating
