Personality: Youthful and energetic at his relatively young age, Edward Maple is almost always on the move. When he's not, you know there's something wrong, or he thinks he's about to unearth the greatest discovery of his career. He's quite kind and helpful, especially to new trainers who come to his lab to begin their journey. However, he can become quite aggressive if someone is trying to steal from him or break the law.

Hometown/Region: New Amber Town, Viore

Backstory: A former Pokemon League Tournament winner, Edward Maple decided to not pursue the life of battling Pokemon, but studying them. This eventually led to him being named as the top Pokemon Researcher in Viore. However, Pokemon is not his only interest. He is an archaeologist, a vivid one at that. There are times when he would be out in the field for weeks at a time, hoping to uncover more of Viore's lost history.

When he is at his Lab, he is studying Viore's Ancient Script, hoping to decipher clues or legends that could help his research. Through his research he has discovered that the Ancient Viorian People may have used Mega Evolution different from the known Pokemon that can Mega Evolve, found from paintings of Pokemon that resemble modern day Pokemon, but are different. He is still investigating this.

Age: 18

Personality: There are few things that Lorina hates, and the top of the list is criminals. From petty thieves, to jewelry thieves, to Pokemon poachers, if they break the law, they're in for a world of hurt. She usually keeps a calm head, and makes great use of her nearby resources to solve a problem. She thinks quick on her feet, and is a very talented actor. If something is bothering her, or she knows something she doesn't want anyone else to know, she could probably keep her cool if there was a Camerupt right beneath her.

Hometown/Region: Silent Cove, Viore

Backstory: The first years of Lorina's life were calm and peaceful. She grew up with a middle class family, both in Law Enforcement. They were the happy times, the times she'll cherish as long as she can remember them. But, times would change when she entered school. From the first day she set foot in Trainers School, it was clear that she was different. She was smarter, quicker to pick up on things than her classmates. This made her the prime target for bullies.

She refused to tell her parents, or anybody for that matter, about it. She didn't want to cause worry, and she didn't want her classmates to get in trouble. So, over time, she perfected her acting skill, and soon it became so good that the bullies wouldn't even bully her anymore because they wouldn't get the reaction they wanted out of her.

After graduating Trainers School at Age 10 (As most Kids would in Viore), she decided to follow in her parent's footsteps. She enrolled in the Viore Police Academy, and learned everything there was to learn about Law Enforcement. The different agencies such as the International Police and Pokemon Ranger Union. She made sure she knew every code by heart. At 17 she graduated from the Academy with honors, and was stationed in Stormbutte City.

However, it was here she found that the technology they Police used was severely outdated compared to the tech she was taught that criminals those days would use. She became frustrated, until she was approached by a stranger, who offered her a place in his group. She was promised access to the latest technology. Everything seemed official, as well. So she took it.

And, as promised, she had access to technology that local Police could only dream of getting. She began tracking down criminal after criminal, until there was near peace in Viore. Because of that, they decided to give her a task. They wanted her to watch the new trainers coming to Viore via the Maple Pokemon Lab, to see if any could be potential threats for the region. She accepted the assignment, and set off for New Amber Town.

She applied as an aid for the Professor. He quickly grew impressed by her skill and knowledge, and eventually gave her the position of Head Aid. She would be in charge of the Lab when he was gone. It was during this time she adopted a nickname, Bishop. Also during this time she met her current partner, a Banette named Spook.
