Nate warned her "If you take my drugs again, I'll slap you. I don't want you becoming an addict."

Joel looked at Avary and sighed "sorry for yelling at you son, but we are going through a lot right now and we don't need extra to deal with." Rocking Alex

Lianne looked down slightly. She sighed. "Nate, I have been taking them since the accident" She said quietly.
"It is okay Avery" Tianna told him, being more mature than her age

"Don't you think I know that?" Avary asked looking up. "I know how much has been going on, I hear it, I do't want to, but I hear it, all of it. Every last bit of what goes on, it's too much."
Alex was slowly calming down.

"I know Dad, but it's still hard, even with the family, I've felt alone." Avary said, lookng down and crying. It's so much, so much.
Alex was worried about Avary, and started tearing up more.

Lianne sighed. "Until it stopped hurting, until I stopped feeling empty inside, until I stopped feeling like I wasn't whole, you are lucky, we both lost a brother, for you it was a younger brother, you didn't see the accident, didn't see when he died, he wasn't someone who you were joined at the hip with, I saw it, I blame myself, we were twins and always joined at the hip, I can't cope without him so that is why I stole your drugs, so I could manage to cope, so I could forget, so I could stay alive when all I wanted to do was die along with him so I could be there with him again, those are stopping me from wanting to die because it helps me forget, I need it, can't you see, I am not sure if I am an addict or not but it helps me and it makes me feel slightly better and makes me feel like I am whole again and it stops the flashbacks, you don't understand Nate, you may be my older brother but you don't understand at all, me and Luke were closer than I was to anyone else and I can't cope with him being dead, the only other people I know who would understand what it is like to be a twin is Ella and Connor but they don't know what it is like to see your twin die, I have seen that and you just don't understand Nate" She told him. "Just look at me Nate, I am not the same girl that I used to be, I am pretty much dead, can't you see that, you haven't even noticed what has been happening over the last few weeks" Lianne gestured to herself. She looked really thin, her eyes had bags under them and her smile which always used to be there has gone. The sparkle has left her eyes and all you could see now was a shell of her former self. Her hair was lank and unwashed. "Can't you see what this has done to me, can't you see that I am hardly surviving, these are keeping me alive and I need them, just look at me, look at me and see what the accident has done to me, now remember what I used to look like, do you see the difference and what has changed since the accident" She rambled on. She looked pretty much ill now.

"It will never stop hurting....what do you want me to do if you die? You're telling me I can't help you and basically let you ruin yourselr. You need help believe it or not and I'm not letting you mess your life up like me. Yeah...I may not understand but I still care about you."

Lianne looked down. "I am already ruined, the accident ruined me, I have hardly eaten, I don't sleep at all because of nightmares, I have no strength to do anything, I am beyond help" Tears formed in her eyes. She had used the drugs to forget and he was just making her remember. The tears started rolling down her cheeks. She had hidden a few other things that were illegal for her that she stole off older members of the family.

"And how do you propose to do that?" Avary asked his father through teared up eyes.

Music quietly flowed through the earbuds resting within Josh's ears, as he walked down the road with his hands in pockets. He was tired; there was no doubt about that. However, he had spontaneously gone on that week trip, and needed to get home, so he trudged on, a slight smile on his face. Life was seeming pretty good in that moment, for no reason whatsoever, and he loved it.

Walking up to the door, he gave three, loud knocks, pausing his music and standing back, as he waited for the door to be answered.

"How do you think you are going to get rid of the loneliness?" Avary said hugging Tianna again.

"So you just want me to leave you alone huh? I will when you give me all the drugs and things you have hidden?" He said.

"I want to spend more quality time with you son....I want you get to know more about you." Joel said.

Lianne shook her head. "No you know I won't" They were in her hiding place, the bottom of her sock draw

"I'd be good with that Dad" Avary said, smiling a bit.
Alex was crying again, burying his head.

"Okay...I'll find them myselr." He said digging through Lianne's things.

Calming Alex down, Joel smiled.

"I'm sorry Dad." Avary said, looking down again.
Alex slowly fell asleep in his father's arms.
