This album took me ages to get into. At first I found it way too cheesy and commercial sounding. Now it's grown on me for those exact reasons. It's got a lot of great melodic hooks, and overall it comes off as an inspired, tight effort from a really fantastic group of musicians. It's easy to chuck on and listen to in one go, or you can pick out your favourite songs.

I feel that modern Prog is growing somewhat derivative and diluted these days, with just about any bad who are mildly technical and don't fit into a black or white category earning the "Prog" label.
So it's nice to see these slightly older guys (who hail from great Prog bands such as IQ and Arena) putting out something that sounds this fresh and adventurous. There are a lot of younger bands who should be taking notes.
