Actually her power Omnilingualism makes her communication fit a subject's primary language or in the case of people who speak more than one the language that best conveys her intentions which in this case is to be friendly.

She saw Griffin and Violet's exchange and set her speech pattern to one that might stand the best chance of making him smile.

This isn't a suggestion that she knows how many languages he speaks or even which ones only that French is her most pleasant one to the ear.

@RumikoOhara Hmmm.... Interest. Alright. That makes sense. I hadnt thought that her knowledge of langue would allow her to know all that but once you explained it it makes sense.
