I'm going to edit out the second post of the IC with a scene, a reason to have us all in a similar radius for those who want to interact considering the size of mainland Europe aha. You don't have to bother with it but if you're looking for an opening to character interaction that'll be an aid. I'll post here when it's done.

Doc,that body is most definitely ready for something haha.

 Notoriety   1 
 Appearance:   His body has not forgotten the years as District policeman. In this day and age, police receives the same training modern day military does. That is combined with anual physical tests and you can see why most veterns stay in shape for the rest of their life. Adrian is no exception. Standing 182cm and weighting 79kg (all muscle), he could be concidered attractive. Except for what his nighttime life brought upon him. His body bears many scars, as do his knuckles from breaking up the occassional nighttime fight. By anyone's standards, Adrian's brown eyes look weary and tired. He very much has the face of a man who is done with the world, but the world is not yet done with him. 
 Personality:   Despite the fact that he operates in the shadows, and often takes the some shadey tasks, Adrian conciders himself more like a helper. He has a moral code which he follows strictly. Though the rules are more in the form of "Don't kill a father in front of his child" rather than "do not kill". Many psychiatrists have found that their subject conciders himself an honorable man because of this.

Many also find that he is a man adrift within the Megacities and districts. Lacking any real purpose since he was kicked from the police corps. A baland lie according to Adrian. Who claims he just does it for the money. Still, there is no doubting his efficiency. If a job is not in conflict with his moral code, he will take it. No questions asked, no explinations required. However, make sure that you act within certain boundaries. Adrian despises general chaos, prefering precission strikes. This is why he hates terrorists who make everyone's hard life even worse for no other reason that to 'stick it to the man'. So be aware, for he can act out on his own without orders.

In terms of friends: he has a select group of people at one of his trusted bars. Making sure he uses different identities and credit cards, he lives an second life as an 'accountant'. His friends, since he managed to beat down a junkie threatening to cut up a woman at the bar if she didn't give him his purse, ask no more questions than warranted. 
Principled – Cold – Precice – Adrift

 Bio:   Born in 2260, nothing indicated that Adrian would become the man he is today. He grew up with 2 younger brothers, loving parents and, despite rising tensions, a good education and a solid band of friends. When he turned 18 he dreamed big and wanted to make a difference in the world, so he did what all stupid 18 year olds looking for adventure do, and signed up for the Army. He felt right at home, following commands and being molded into a soldier. Only to end up with general guard duty and protecting EuroCorp assets. He saw that no criminal was stupid enough to mess with EuroCorp, so mostly his days were filt with standing and doing nothing. Criminals did go after smaller stores and shops. Those responding were cops. After four years of army lifestyle, he resigned and took up the job of policeman of West District 22.

He flourished and met the love of his life, Nymueh. A beautiful woman and Inspector. They went on a date, then several more. Two years later and they married and a year after that, they had a daughter with the looks of her mother (or so everyone claimed). Adrian still loved his job as policeman in the field. He even got bumped to the Special Response Team (partially due to his previous experience with the military). Everything was beautiful in their lives. Until it wasn't. One would think that an illness as vile as cancer would have been eradicated by now. But it hadn't. Their daughter, Sarah, was diagnosed. The family, devastated.

Both parents' jobs weren't enough to pay the massive bills coming from the hospital and medical companies. Loans were taken out, the house sold but it all kept them above water for but a moment, while adding more weight in the form of debt. Adrian picked up a night-time job as bouncer at a local club. It paid well but not well enough. Especially not as nearly ever night a fight broke out. One day he saw a kid dealing drugs in the club. Be it fatherly instinct or policeman training, he moved in to kick the kid out. But someone must have seen him, as a man slipped before him and gave him a hundred credits, if he just pretended not to notice anything. The next time the same man spotted Adrian in the club and slipped him another hundred. Every night Adrian was there, he got an extra hundred credits.

This kept them well above water though his wife got fairly suspicious. It lasted long enough, until it stopped. A police raid ended this profitable scheme. As a cop he could cut a deal. He wasn't going to serve time, only pay a fine and be dishonorably discharged from the corps. But the fallout was clear. His wife, suspicious of it all gave him the divorce papers the night after his arrest. Right in the middle of the divorce negotiations, Sarah at the age of 9, died. Both parents were devastated and wanted to move on with their lives. Adrian surrendered nearly everything but the house. Nymueh moved District and was never heard from again.

The now broken man skipped on his bouncer duties for a month. With reduced pay, the club owner took him on again. And his first night back, he got another hundred. That was the night he realized life wasn't just unfair, it was stacked against those who played it honest. Becuase the man that gave him a hundred was also arrested that night and didn't seem to care for it at all. Nor did he seemed to have suffered for it. But Adrian knew he had to play it smarter. With a hundred bucks a day extra, someone was bound to grow suspicious. So he started practicing the oldest trick in the book. Money laundering. With offshore accounts and white washing shemes, Adrian swiftly grew in wealth (though you wouldn't see this in his appearance). Both the mob and certain companies caught wind of this. Both hire him now as "consultant". 
 District:   DST-22-WEST 
 Weapon(s):   

The Europe Standard Marksman Rifle 11, or ESMR-11 is a solid, medium-range marksman rifle designed to take out infantry. Made by Brittania Ironworks, a old weapon manufactor that started back in 2050. The ESMR-11 is a military outdated model, using a round that is no longer capable of punching through the toughest of armors. Brittania Ironworks started selling the gun in a Hunter model, allowing citizens to buy the gun too. While military outdated, for civilian use it a s pretty advanced weapon still. It is also a ironic one, as hunting is a nearly died out sport.


Brittania Ironworks' Fast Response & Deterrent Pistol 3 was a multi-purpose pistal designed to be a jack-of-all-trades. With manageable recoil and using a caliber that could bring the pain, it became a favorite for police. Who required a gun that could take down unarmored targets. However, it was also prefered by their superiors, as it was known to not have the power to penetrate armor. Prompting frustrated "heroic" cops to still call in the SRT. Meaning they didn't get shot themselves. After a year or two Brittania Ironworks started issuing the Civilian edition. Which wasn't that much different from the police variant.

Adrian uses silencer MOD. It's not state of the art but it does the job.

 Armour:  

Again, Brittania Ironworks created the NewKnight Mk.II. Mainly for police forces back in 2295. Now it is a bit outdated with plating that can get pierced by the higher class bullets fired from rifles and up. However, he mainly uses it for the advanced sensors still built in, as well as the HUD and onboard computer.

 Cybernetics:   None, currently saving for an advanced cybernetic brain interface. 
 Account Balance:   2500creds 
 Other:  Many will tell you it is foolish to think you'll leave this kind of business in anything else but a body bag. Yet, there are a handful of offshore accounts left completely untouched. Many of his barfriends will tell you that Adrian is looking forward towards his pension. Despite the fact that he is still 42.

Working on my first post, won't be in District 21 though. By the way how much is 2500 credits in perspective? Like, what you can purchase with this ammount. Also, maybe we should make a map of districts to have some sort of a geographical understanding of Europa, because, for example, I have no idea where is District21 and how far is it when compared to District 20 which is in Eastern Europa. Xp

@Sifter No problem man, I originally was going to have a weapons table and price list for stuff but hadn't come up with it yet. 1400 credits will pay a months rent in a mediocre apartment so not much but prices would vary around the district feel free to take some liberties with it. As for the map, I found some vector maps but again haven't got the chance to do one up. District 21 would be next to 20 but a western district, whereas you said 20 is east.

Now that I've read the IC and skimmed the characters and OOC I've kind of ran with an idea. Hope it's alright.

Also what notoriety would someone who works for their own interests have? The point is sort of that it's not traceable to her as well.

 Appearance:   Onathe is a tall, athletic woman, being around 175 centimeters plus heels. Due to her cult’s organization’s standards, no modifications are allowed. So, all modifications must be invisible or easily covered by clothes. Their victorian style makes concealment much easier, as bulky and gaudily patterned clothes can conceal or distract from most modifications and small weapons. The group also obsesses over the colour red, claiming things about blood of humanity and life is in blood so red is a common theme. Red-headed children are seen as nearly prophet-like.

“I am a member of the Gentleman Bastards, a group that emphasises on the separation of man and machine. We have our quarters in one of the larger cities and have purposely chosen an Olden Temple from the old world with the old style. The building is from just before the 2000’s era began and is gracefully adorned with windows made of actual fired glass. We spend our days outside of our temple with handwritten signs held above our heads to preach of how humans must remain humans and machines remain machines. We speak about history, generations, nature’s intent - blah blah blah you get the gist.

The more the others assume we’re stupid, the more they argue with us, the more fallible our arguments the better. We want them to hate us. It’s this hatred that bands them together, that makes them defend their people, to think of it as ‘us vs them.’ It’s this conflict that keeps the peace, and Europa knows that. Why do you think they let us keep our temple, even though it takes up valuable space? They encourage small, extremist groups that keep the opinion unpopular and give it a negative connotation. When people look at us they see what they don’t want to be, and that’s more powerful than any advertisement. Do you really think that if we were a threat, they’d think for a moment before tearing our temple down? That’s the plan, anyway.

So long as they’re distracted with the outside, they won't bother to look inside. The bigger and messier the distraction the better. Riots are good, military action is better. If we manage to get enough opposition from the community that they threaten our lives, it’s the perfect position for us.

You see, the Gentleman Bastards existed long ago as well. They were a group that took orphans and turned them into espionage professionals. Some of the biggest government takedowns were planned by this group. Why, they managed to take down an entire district with nothing more than human fire-”

Sure, on the surface we have crazy ideals and dress in ancient fashions as we preach about times before robotics but once you go deeper the secret society begins to reveal itself. Much like an ode to the original, we take in orphans and unwanted members of society. We feed them, clothe them, educate them. The children know nothing of our workings and are used for begging - mostly to further the idea that we are a waste of space that is useless. They do our errands and put a sweet face on the front lines, people usually feel sorry for our “brainwashed” youth.

When we notice that a child is particularly rebellious, or that to meet their begging quotas they will pickpocket instead, our interest turns to them. We begin to condition them, test them to see their cunning. It’s a difficult balance, measuring when a bright child is ready for transition as they usually disagree with what we preach. Why for some it’s younger or older, it just depends on-”

Basically, we train them to become spies, silent killers of the night hiding in plain sight. We teach the young ones ancient methods like karate, show them how to disarm and distract. After initiation, teenagers go through the most rigorous training, as it involves real-life, low-level missions. Many are caught and punished or even killed, which just furthers public thought that our little cult messes with their minds and causes them to act out of extreme defiance to rebel against us. But, those who make it to adulthood are some of the most powerful influences of underground movements.

Even if the reach of a movement is wide, they may not even know that they are dealing with the Bastards. Maybe they get sensitive information, or a grid goes down just as they need it. Many of these “coincidences” were planned and carried out by our team. We have members in nearly every part of society or group. If any of our agents are caught, it’s nearly impossible to trace them back to our little temple - we get a lot of inspiration from mobs in the olden days and are perhaps even better at covering our tracks. We are nonpartisan, only looking out for our own agenda. Sometimes it helps us to aid some people and sometimes it helps us to deter them. I digress.

And that’s who I am. An unwanted orphan, trained to be a skilled assassin. Any other defining factors have been erased, for the good of our cause.

”Should I tell them about what’s under the temple?”
“Headquarters. HQ is under the different temples. Was it not obvious?

“Speak for yourself.”

“And that’s Locke Lamora. Well, what’s left of him anyway. He has no human left in him, no heart, no organs, no anything. But, to be fair he didn’t start out with a heart,”

“Oh, I assure you I have one organ left…”
“Grow up, you’re like centuries old,”
“You’re not my mom!”
“You’re right, you’d be much smarter if I were,”
 District:     We at the Gentleman Bastards deny the numerical system of districts. (DST-5-WEST) 
 Weapon(s):   Small but sharp knives shoved into wherever her outfit allows. 

Electric scrambler, can fry some mechanics and stun humans. Black metal with tiny hooks about the size of a pack of cards, will stick to things using the van der waals effect. Must enter code and number of volts/amps. One charge lasts 5-10 uses, depending on strength.

Uses snipers on occasion. 
 Armour:   Close to clear, thin nano armour. Not incredibly strong but flexes like spandex and is puncture resistant.   
 Cybernetics:    Onathe is a bit peculiar about her cybernetics. Using their own black market-type of surgeries Onathe has opted for nanos that are in her blood and inserted into bones, making healing a bit quicker. She also has a filter down her throat, right before her lungs that filter out anything that might harm them (this is replaced whenever heavily used-for example being exposed to thick smoke). She can’t breathe water but if water does get down her throat it stops-making drowning a little more survivable.  
 Account Balance:   2500creds 
Other:   EMPs, signal blockers, biological weapons, and electrothermal items can be found in headquarters but you must get strict orders to use them, when where and why so she knows how to use them. But, if she uses them without permission it means termination. And not just of contract.
