So if people could start thinking of road names, that'll be really helpful!

Perhaps we can divvy up the city now and deliberate upon the specifics for each of our sections? Or have the current interested folks share the load and then claim a chunk of what is created.

Well, straight away, that north-running road needs to be called Main Street or some variation.

I'll probably claim the three islands in the south-east bit. Dockside smuggling and hookers yay!

@Dannyrulx mobsters and smugglers and hookers, oh my! Yeah, I'd say taking those islands and maybe a bit of the big island looks like a good area.

Great! Right now you can either work on making a cs, (I have a template on the first page although I'm planning on editing it) or you can help make the map by choosing a peace of it, (about a fifth) and giving it street names and a description. And if you have any suggestions for improvement please say so!

So, here we go. Quick claim.

So, some info. The blue island is Cavers Island. It's got basically nothing of note, apart from larg amount of warehouses owned by the mob. It's the main place for storing weaponry and other illegal substances.

The red island is Mason island. It's a similarily small island, but this area is packed with houses. Some are mob owned and rented out, many are not. The road running through the two islands is called Harbour road, and it bustles with trucks and cars constantly.

The green island is called San Nicholas, named after the island that most of the original Italian-American migrants came from. It's filled with cafes, restaurants and much more, and Harbour Road runs through the island. It's the home of the main base of the De Luca family, a large mansion on the coast on the south-eastern peak, close to the large Sicilian Plaza.

Outfit's name:
The Flock of Saint Augustine

Outfit's origin:
The prohibition forbids the use of alcohol as an intoxicant but there are two things this doesn't include: Medical use and use during worship. His holiness Bishop Lawrence of the local catholic Diocese, overseeing many churches and even an hospital found in this an excellent way to give himself a little extra revenue by helping the good Christians of the city first with wine and then with extra 'medicine' under the cover of legitimate activities. Business is booming as he can, unlike his competition, pretend what he does is completely legitimate and do his activities in broad daylight and protected by the police. Recently he and his fellowship of clergymen have been strengthening their position and spreading the good word, their outfit recruiting not based on race, but on religion.

Money:
Headquarters addresses:
The Irish/French Canadian part of town.

Vehicles:
-1 Ambulance: Can go everywhere and is never bothered by the police.

Number of members:
-12 'Priests': A few church officials around the town and doctors from the catholic hospital, mostly French Canadian and Irish origins.

-Numerous 'Church Goers': Almost exclusively catholic, members of the tight knit Irish, French Canadian and even Italian community that see the Bishop's activities as 'helping the community' and are thus in a helping disposition toward the church.

Equipment:
The official members are granted a pin of a golden heart being pierced by an arrow, the emblem of Saint Augustine, but since their actions are considered 'Legal' and that at the moment they don't have any business with the other gangs, they don't pack weapons.

Laurent Fabius De Montpas

Leader backstory:
Son of a French Canadian immigrant family, he was poor as dirt and to save him from misery, his father sent him to a catholic school. Showing intelligence and cunning, he went to study theology to become a priest and eventually rise to be a bishop. He soon found out that this was probably the highest he'd get in the church and with little love for the virtues of god, he focused on becoming comfortable, something he did rather well, shoveling most of his expenses on the church and so forth. The prohibition opened many new opportunities however as many believers came to him to ask the church to open the wine bottles in exchange for donations.

Leader equipment:
-Revolver, .357

Not to be picky but Catholicism and Christianity aren't the same thing.

Anyway got some interest brewing. If this happens expect me to make a CS to hop along for the ride.

Though Catholicism and Christianity may not be entirely synonymous, a Catholic is a Christian.

By your post I'm led to believe you're making the mistake that a lot of Americans do in assuming that the Protestant branches that derived from the reformation (e.g. the Lutherans, Anglicans, Pentecostals, Seventh-Day Adventists and more) are exclusively termed "Christians", but this would be incorrect. Whilst the different denominations may debate it until they're blue in the face, the only pre-requisite of being considered a "Christian" is a belief in Jesus Christ as the son of God and Messiah as depicted in the Old Testament; Catholics, Protestants and Eastern Orthodox are all sub-divisions of Christianity and are its three largest denominations.

If you did not hold this mistaken impression then I fail to understand what you mean by "Catholicism and Christianity aren't the same thing."

Other than that, I would cite my interest, but I've been waiting to see more progress.
