Pezi baa'd as he was striked down by the much higher level grass type, shaking before staggering, eyes swirling before completely fainting. Tora gave a slight mental sigh, holding out the Pokeball and returning the fainted Skiddo. Looking at the ball thoughtfully. Juana's words were nice, though apparently not true. Tora was sure she could have made better moves than what she did. She was at a disadvantage type wise in both scenarios, but still Archie had the level advantage. It made her doubt herself a little. Perhaps her parents were right. Still though, battle wasn't her dream goal. It was just a friendly side thing she'd allow her Pokemon to enjoy if they wished. After all, a battle was healthy for a Pokemon once in awhile. Except for maybe some like Sirius.

"Looks like you are the winner Lady Juana, great battle." Tora said with a friendly smile. "That was a bit more fun then I expected. We should do it again sometime."

Yeah it was! Should do it again sometime. (I bet most of their battles will just be mostly deciding who pays for food xD)

And hey don't feel bad. She'll feel those insecurities most of the time. she just won't voice them.(Especially when they eventually reach Adriana City)

After buying another taco from the taco stand and inhaling it, Cillian headed straight for the Pokemon Center, placing his Pokeballs on the counter to get his Pokemon healed up. Waiting patiently as the nurse popped the capsules into the machine, Cillian pondered what he should do for the day. The new Scyther definitely needs to be introduced to the rest of the team, he thought, frowning. He seems to have a rather difficult personality, and it doesn’t help that I caught him by accident. Wonder what I was trying to catch last night?

“Thanks,” he told the nurse, turning as two girls — trainers, by the looks of their Pokemon — walked into the Center. “Hi!” he said, walking up to them with a grin. “Cillian Weiss, fellow trainer. Just started — er — three days ago. Are you two from around here?”

@tripington Haha toooootally fine. A lot of people don't have stats up (although it'd be nice if they did get them up.... good for reference so I can be lazy ;) )

So I'm going to have to find a more long term solution to keeping this RP up and running, one that doesn't rely on any individual to keep up with a lot of stats. My proposed solution is a triple threat plan (one solution that solves three problems at once).

I'm proposing that we do away with the trainer point system entirely, and expand on the concept of creating missions for one another. The only stat that I will have to keep track of from this point onward will be creation points. Now, I said that this would help on three fronts. Here they are:

1) Story building: I would rather not make a dramatic change, and then pretend that everything that we have done up to this point is somehow meaningless. Instead, I would like to give this change meaning, incorporate it into the plot of this RP. I'm proposing that the primary shareholder of Poke Corp has changed through a massive buyout. This new owner wishes to do away with the old system in favor of doling out items as rewards instead of products. This new owner will also be shrouded in mystery, because... come on, why not!?

2) More engaging: This new system will revolve around creation points and missions more heavily than in the past. You will still gain one creation point per post and be able to use these creation points to create characters, organizations, and locations. Obviously this will change the functions of things such as Poke Marts and Organizations, but it shouldn't take long to get used to.

3) Less burdening: This new system would require everyone to self moderate their own characters' item's and Pokedex. It would also place the responsibility of dealing out rewards to the people that create missions. When you complete a mission or some other requirement, you will earn a reward; you may then add that reward to your character sheet. My role as GM will simply be to track creation point accrual and approve of content created with these points. If anyone spots a user abusing this new honor system, PM me and I will investigate. If your claim is legitimate, the person will be banned.

What do you all think? This is my only solution to continue this thread in a way that I can realistically manage (and perhaps even find the time to participate as well). If anyone has another idea, I'm all ears.

Since it was so easy to stack multiple bonuses for TP, and it is only one point per post when it comes to CP, I think that a .25 conversion rate rounded up would be more fitting.

Once a day (monthy IRL) you will be allowed to select free basic items from the Poke Mart, including Pokeballs. Organizations can also deal out daily (monthly IRL) items to it's members. Past that, you will need to complete missions in order to collect items.

All the old systems would stay in place, but there might be some modifications, such as adjustments to the requirements behind ranking up.

@balthazar007 Hm I rather liked the old system as it would almost "require" people to post on certain days. Could the sunrise/sunset bonuses be kept?

As for items, this would drastically limit all item-related trainer activity (ie leisy could technically (technically) purchase >20 Pokeballs right now). Would it be possible to just have everyone self-report points? Or set up a doc or something of the like so everyone can report points?

In any case, this system is still largely incomplete, so I don't want to pass judgement on it until all the technicalities are fleshed out.

@Dusksong We could keep the sunset and sunrise bonus points, but instead of gaining extra trainer points, you would gain extra creation points.

My reservation behind starting a collaborative document in order to keep this current system in place would be new players unknowingly messing up. The current system requires a lot of understanding before you know exactly how many points you get for doing what.

This new system would revolve around new content creation rather than items. I could however do one last tally of everyone's current trainer points. You may then convert those points to creation points at the ".25" rate or simply buy as many items as you would like, a clearance sell if you will.

However, I do rather like the current system because it benefits people who are very active online while not exactly at the expense of those who aren't, so I'm going to make another pitch for the collaborative doc.

Google docs, shared with the "official" members -- members that are guaranteed to know what they're doing. You can own the doc but give the other members editing rights, and then give the general pubic permission to comment or just give individual users permission to comment. The "official members" can check their posts, and if someone approves of the comment they can just edit it into the doc. In a different doc if need be. You can have an "official doc" and a "side doc" with shared rights.

Make the requirement that everyone has to keep track of their Pokemon/TP/CP at the end of every post in a hider starting pronto (since most people are already doing it) so you can double check more easily if need be. But I think this self-governing thing works fine.

I will say that I prefer the current system. It's not too bad if a player keeps track of their stats as they go like most have been doing. The new one sounds like it would be even more difficult for characters to rank. I think Google Doc would be helpful.

But either way, I'll go along with it. Just would take adjusting again if changed.
