Just a little. Though, as a character of mine once said, "A little nothing could be a big problem." ~Manny

He died from an explosion in his backpack within the year.

Well, I'm fine if Alberich ends up dying soon or later in the future. @Lord Orgasmo and I thought up a power rangers-esque team based on sandwich puns as their names in the case Alberich takes a sword to the gut.

@Aquanthe Not to worry, should a sword to the gut happen, Ysran knows how to heal with powers he can't physically comprehend.

Fine enough for me. I've been just trying to catch up with everything I've missed or been too lazy to do.

Question, does everyone think Kathryn is actually an elf? Or is that just a character thing? Or did I mis-type something... I shall check that....

Huh? Alberich was referring to Ysran when he said elf, so you might've confused yourself there when you read my paragraph (if that's where the confusion aroused in the first place).

In any case, @Lord Orgasmo and I were thinking about this RP during lunch today. The two of us thought up some plot concerns, and I wanted to voice them in this thread to you all (@Remipa Awesome, @dereken, @AtomicNut, @Lich, and @Kenaron). To begin, we have four people + whatever NPCs Lich might bring into the fold, six people/players if we include Nut or Kenaron (given if they reply in the future). This had raised concerns as the two of us concluded Tharac's warband must be much, much larger (several hundred?), perhaps more than we can handle at this time. In order to figure out how we could fix these concerns, Lord and I came with a few ideas that our group could possibly use.

For one, we are, for the most part, in the open with no official base to call home. I suggested that my character (Alberich) could use his expertise in helping build a small campsite or something for our group, but the real problem lies in location. We considered the burnt down village, but it would be an open location and most shelter would be gone and destroyed by the fire the orcs set. Also, we would be freely inviting disease by sleeping on a pile of corpses left behind after the assault.

Secondly, as I stated before, there is a number issue (possibly). Unfortunately, the world is a dangerous place and not everyone would be willing to go fight the Dark Lord without an actual reason to do so. Lord told me that Ysran could do some magic tricks to try and impress the local populace to join our side. I thought this was a good idea, and together the two of us think Ysran could "fool" the populace into getting on his good side by fighting off supposed soldiers of the Dark Lord (which are illusions) with illusions of his own. Another alternative is that we could just bribe them, but that doesn't exactly guarantee their loyalties.

Feel free to add on more to this or dismiss it as ramblings from myself, but I figured we should at least have a discussion.

Also, do remember that my character has a lot of money, I can buy supplies, and whatnot.

Uh to be honest I am dragging my feet with this rp. That character wasn't the best idea nor execution.

I do definitely think that a base of operations of some kind would come in handy, as for dealing with the numbers we could pull off so simple guerrilla warfare? Pick off small units one by one until their numbers start spreading out, then by that point draw the remaining forces to a final battle, while we pull off our fighting no where near our battle and possibly just destroy the supplies and anyone who stayed behind.

Just a vague idea but one non the less. Needs a lot of work though, just something I came up with on the fly kind of thing.

Also sorry about mis-understanding, I was like half asleep when I was reading the last couple time.

They're orcs. I imagine as in like all settings, they move in one big mass. I don't think guerrilla warfare could work, unless you're referring small groups instead of individual numbers.

Also, still on the topic of numbers, I brought that up because Tharac's warband isn't the only group we'll most likely face. There are clearly armies marching for the Dark Lord, so we need to start fueling our group with bigger numbers. A militia, perhaps. A group that we could season into fighters. Like a mercenary company.

Hence the need I explained earlier. If we go through with gathering manpower, I also believe we should formalize them. Make them one and uniform. Lord and I thought up some possible colors:

Blue and White
Red and White,
Black and White,
Black and Purple,
Black and Gray/Silver,
and Red and Deep Red.

Let me know what you all think. Of course, there are many different possibilities, but these are just possible suggestions.

@dereken Well, to make skeletons, or even zombies for that matter, we'd need bodies. Lots of them. And while I'm sure there's quite a few around, we probably won't have enough anyways. Not to mention Aquanthe's character will probably try to kill you if go go about raising random villagers.
