It's not a bomb. If it blows up, it's failed. I was trying to make a post revolving around Elis' persona and technical prowess. But, I seem to have underestimated the levels of bullshit the aliens are operating on.

Its ok my fellow whovian, bullshit is what fuels the world. I am sure Gm chan has plans and the like so if the aliens seem a little bs im sure it was planned

@dabombjk@KabenSaal Yes. That's true. The whole escape was planned in a way so that the aliens show what they can do. So that you get an idea to what exactly we are dealing with.

I mean, if you are going to have an escape prologue where the people that you are rescuing are basically powerless to do anything other than follow along with their suddenly appearing Savior, then just write that out in the first post instead of making people sit through what will probably be a few days or a week of it before anything actually happens. It's like a later Wheel of Time novel right now.

Edit: And yes, this RP has a solid Xcom feel, and I'm Dr Shen, ok?

Wheel of Time is a hell of an investment. Fifteen books, several of which are over 1000 pages long. Depending on how fast you read and how often, it can take several weeks, up to a year to finish. And around, 7, 8 and 9 it feels like wading through treacle. While, in the end I liked it, I don't know if I can recommend it to anyone. It is something that is highly individualised, depending greatly on your own enjoyment of reading and your patience.

No, that's an exaggeration. He does have a habit of writing long, flowing details about major events, but generally that's not the problem. It's that in the middle of the series, nothing happens. You've got two hundred pages of Rand brooding in The Stone of Tear because he's slowly becoming God.
