No, that wouldn't quite work. The sisters are already in the room with the froggit.

Hmmm...Considering the previous 'Run' of this RP went (and mulling this option over), I think it is safe to say that Papyrus can come running to the hole to help find Frisk, just as the other canon monsters in the previous run did, but he might be stuck talking to them for a bit...

The canon monsters came because in the original run, Skylar got a call from Frisk (who is missing), and Alphys told them about it and how Skylar is running towards the entrance of the Underground.
