I have nothing to add from Brannor now, as he is neither for or against what they are trying to do. Not welcome to it, but he is not about to interfere without good reason and it is fairly clear that if it becomes a matter of killing her slowly, that's about the most he would step in on. Otherwise he is present only to observe.

That was a fun collab! I'm still on the fence with how Kyra is going to develop, so I can't wait to do more stuff for her. @Hekazu would you mind if I also have Kyra run into her father first before she finds Falconmoon? I don't mind if you want to play as Kyra's father too, though I had planned to control him myself.

I do trust in your abilities to play said man. Besides, they are more integral to your personal story than the plot in general, at least when compared to Falconmoon, so feel free to keep control of Kyra's father.

I think I'll have Orchid wait and see what the results of this interrogation scene is before he steps in. His approach is decidedly less subtle, so I don't want to ruin the diplomacy.

I admit Brannor will not honor that promise of "she might yet live to see them again" if Parum wishes to pursue it, @Ryonara. There's too much wickedness done here tonight and that yet to come based off of how Torus framed the narrative and the insanity the hunter views her to be possessed of. A threat better handled now than later.

As an addition, I did come to mind with something that might be reasonable if an impasse is created. That and it leaves it up to Governor Nighthill rather than us, something Greenest would need deal with on their morality.

Yeah honestly I doubt that Parum could back up her promise even if the prisoner complies, which I'm almost certain she wouldn't. If the prisoner doesn't tell Parum what she wants to know than she wouldn't mind as much if the prisoner is executed, but Parum will try to keep her word at least. If you guys kill the prisoner even after she tells Parum want she wanted to know, well... Just another traumatic event to file under today, right?

Thus far she's been treated with compassion and mercy, far more than she deserves so Brannor has no objections despite his distaste for her, but if she's still unrepentant and unwilling to accept forgiveness and act on it - perhaps having to earn her freedom through the people of Greenest by indentured service - there's no real option but to give her a speedy, fair death. I supposed Governor Nighthill could choose on his own, given she's now their prisoner, not so much ours, but she's a dangerous fanatic from the look of it, @Ryonara.

I am honestly surprised they put the classic "prisoner dilemma" of Dungeons and Dragons in the first chapter of one of their first modules.

At least in 5e, the paladin isn't obligated to object to interrogating prisoners because of a loose definition of "Interrogation" and "Torture". In my experience playing D&D, I've only ran into one hardass GM who insisted that any Lawful Good character, paladin's especially, had to reject any form of forced cohesion. That was really the only thing I was worried about when we were told we had to find someone to question.

So long as we are all on the same sort of length that we are actively all trying to give the prisoner a chance to repent. If the Governor wants her to stand trial, there's no qualms there from Brannor - it isn't his business and that's more merciful than she deserves. If it gets left up to us, and she's even the slightest bit untrustworthy, my vote is for giving her a clean death lest she had the chance to betray Greenest and or inform the enemy by means of escaping.
