Larimar

Larimar looked around some more a bit using his eye enchancer before Marry vame back tell them they had found somewhere they could set up base. "Really! I wanna see! Can i go see?! Can we go meet them! Oh please please please Chromite, it is in my speciality to observe plant life and animal life on the planets!"

You could tell just by looking at Larimar, he was bound and wound ready to meet the human life forms. That is his main purpose in his life time and he took it quite seriously and loves every chance he gets to fulfill that need and want.

Larimar looked around at even jumping up and down out of excitement. After a wjile he did end up stopping after noticing Moon hasn't said anything since they crashed. He looked over at Marry before looking at Chromo, "Can I bring Moonstone too, Chromite? You know, just in case if the humans are hostile or something."

Chromite had taken her place next to Howlite and they had begun to make progress moving the drill to the edge of the crater where, hopefully, Chryosparse would be waiting. She didn't want to lose their progress and so continued her work as this new talk of bases and what to do next started to come in. She replied in a half-grunt due to the exertion, "Thank you, Head Scientist Moldsvite. I'm not surprised that the humans have achieved some level of advanced technology, as the reports I've read indicated that they were beginning to form a primitive society during the war thousands of years ago. While it remains to be seen exactly how far they've come, I would advise staying clear of them and only initiating contact with the humans if absolutely necessary. Drawing unnecessary attention from them would probably do us more harm than good."

That being said, it might be beneficial to observe the human settlement and see if there's any way we can establish a base of operations nearby. Maybe one of the more adept shapeshifters could go in and see what the humans can tell us about the area. You have my permission to stake out the settlement, but as I said, try to avoid meeting with any humans unless you're sure you can do so safely, Larimar. We aren't an invasion force. Moonstone may accompany you."

Calomel

It had been long since there had last been any signs of trouble. Too long? Not long enough? Calomel couldn't care enough to decide, not that her cluttered mind would allow it.

Regardless of the answer, trouble was trouble and she did not welcome it.

Her pupils had become cat like slits, assessing the situation from her rocky perch, pistols clutched defensively.

There was, of course, no way she could shoot from this range, and frankly, she wasn't sure whether she'd enjoy or dread the inevitable time in which she'd have to. But she held them nonetheless, offering some false sense of security.

She could hardly make it out, but she was pretty sure of what she was seeing - Homeworld gems. On Earth. She grimaced, trying to quell her mind of paranoia before it got the best of her. What was the likelihood that they were coming for her? For all she knew, homeworld gave up their search a few years ago - why else had it been so long? And besides, their ship looked broken - who was to say Earth was even their destination. She shook her head, voice of a long dead companion reaching her mind.

Focus.

So focus she did. There were 9, 10, maybe 12 of them total. From this distance she couldn't make out what kind of gem they were, but getting closer was one of the last things she wanted to do. None of them seemed any bulkier than her - so they weren't sending fighters in all likelihood. No quartzes, it seemed. One of them looked to be a Howlite, the distinct black and white pattern apparent even from this distance, but she could frankly only guess the others. Nothing from the rubble, save for a giant drill, was of any interest. For a few moments, she wondered what its purpose was, watching the group try to carry the comically sized thing, before dismissing her pistols and laying back, taking a deep breath.

Not the most competent group, she figured. But there were many of them, and only one of her, and her mind had long since lost its old sharpness, and despite her build, her gem was fairly fragile.

After a rare case of careful consideration, she decided to leave them be for now rather than approach them, run away, or hunt them down. She'd keep an eye on them. Keep an eye on them indeed. But for now she quickly slunk away, in fear that she may have been spotted.

These gems were either Homeworld's problem, or the Earth's. She was both.

And there was need to add a third group to the list.

Howlite

Looked like apart from Chromite the others were busy doing their own thing and as a result it was slow going. They got perilously close to losing the drill and spiders to the sinking muck but in the end the mission’s primary piece of equipment was saved and dragged to a more stable part of the swamp. After everyone got outside Howlite sealed all the doors to the ship to prevent more water going in, but the vessel was still buried pretty deep in the muck and the hull had enough reaches that the ship continued to sink slowly.

Howlite took this opportunity to examine the place they had crashed in. The ship itself was in a large muddy crater that was rapidly refilling with water. The rest of the area consisted of pools of water, floating greenery or actual land with plants growing on it. The problem was it was very difficult to tell those last 2 bits apart. Beyond the marshland was a hilline featuring much larger plants of some kind and even further in the distance was the light and smoke coming from what was apparently a human settlement of some kind.

Now that the drill was clear of the sinking ship Howlite tooks some time and properly rigged it up to the two spider drones with an improvised harness, meaning they would not need gems to carry it anymore.

”so where is this dry spot you mentioned?”

Pearl/Moonstone

Pearl looked around the area, keeping a keen eye on her surroundings while everyone else spoke to each other. One never could be too careful. The possibility that someone could be watching them was always there, and it was up to her to be ever vigilant. She didn't even realize that she had stared their mysterious watcher in the eye for just a moment.

Her attention was drawn away from the place her gut feeling was warning her, back to Larimar and Chromite. Why in the world had Larimar asked to have her go with him? After Chromite had given her answer, Pearl sighed and answered "I'll look around with Larimar. It wouldn't be wise to just let him go alone," She then started walking towards him, but she stopped for a moment when she was next to Chromite. She warned Chromite, informing her of the intuition, "Please, keep your guard up. There could be a threat nearby. If you need help, do not hesitate to call,"

She then walked up to Larimar and she stated professionally, "Well. Shall we?" She was going to let Larimar do his job and lead the way.

Larimar

Larimar smiles happily has he started making his way to the town edge to start documenting their civilization. "So Moon. How have you been lately? I haven't heard from you in a while so I'm just curious. I've been doing quite well. The plants in my room have started blooming too! When we get done with I have to show you them."

The humans were currently to busy to notice the gems recording their actions. Most were working and walking around, it seemed that one of them were pushing a smaller human in a cart of a sort, "how odd," larimar said to himself making sure to take a picture of it with his eye enchancer with its built in camera.

Larimar continued to look around before he saw a large tail of a sort turn a corner of a building before slowly beginning to walk near the human civilization, "I must investigate that odd tail." He then begins to make his way over to where it went. When he got there all that was left was a puddle of water and a empty alley way with a small firry like animal rubbing on his legs. Larimar was shooked by this before slowly crouching down and gently poking the small furry animal. "Moon. Come over here and check this out. Its kinda cute and so soft!"

Enhydro Agate

Hydro was just getting back from a job with the Harrison family when they heard someone talking near by on their way home coming from a group of trees and bushes. They quickly turned the corner into a alley way and teleported back to their home. Once home they started flipping on a bunch of switch to some of the inventions made out of gem tech to power the teleporter that he stole from a gem temple near by.

They then stepped outside of their home to over to the temple only to find a odd looking portal near the temple. They tilted their head out of confusion before slowly walking up to it and sticking there head through the portal only to find a whole fleat of homeworld gems.

Hydro yelps as they quickly backed away from the portal and summoned their paintbrush to form a dome like cage around the portal to by them some time to run back home to start messing with the teleporter to get the old thing to work so he could warn all of the humans that Homeworld is here. "Work! I have been tinkering with you for years! Why can't i get you to work yet!"

Chromite nodded at Pearl. " Thank you, Moonstone. You don't need to worry, I don't intend to let anything by me. You make sure and stay safe as well."

As Pearl and Larimar approached the town, unbeknownst to them, a gem sensor in a nearby underground base started to go off. This likely came as a great surprise to the old rebellion gems who still resided within, who had not interacted with other gems in a very long time. Could Homeworld finally have come in search of them?

Having gone through Marry's portal to the new location she found, Moonstone and Larimar went off to explore the human settlement. Meanwhile Marry stayed back at the new area to try to figure out exactly what to do. They had a few doodads form the ship and the drill, but there wasn't much else. No Bismoth to start making Gem structures for the group, and while this location was good and secluded, no base meant that the strange elements of the planet would probably be... annoying to deal with.

Thinking to herself for a bit, she decided that, unless they found a warp pad or some other gem temple or structure to make home, she'd go and see what the humans used. After all, they had a city, and thus building materials. And while Marry wasn't a Bismoth or a Peridot, she at least had a basic understanding of construction, and human tools would suffice once she learned how to use them.

"Hey, I'm going to follow Larimar and them to see if I can't find some building materials. I'll leave a portal here for when I need help later." Marry said to the remaining gems, gliding after Larimar, placing an unjoined portal on the cliff face.

Larimar

Larimar was calmly petting and playing with the cat when Marry decided to join them. He quickly stood up and waves away cheerfully while the cat walked in circle around him rubbing against his legs causing the small cat to Purr quite loudly. "Oh hi! Look what I found! Can i keep and take it back to the base?! It's so cute!!"

He giggles playfully has he picked up the cat to show them while continuing to scratch their little head. The cream and light brown patchesld cat happily purred has the being petted them not caring what they were, the cat was just happy to get that crazy itching sit scratched finally since they couldn't reach it themselves. The cat continued to Purr before deciding to jump up onto Laeimae's shoulder and perch themselves there since they just smallenough to sit comfortably.

Larimar giggles once more enjoying the cat's presents on his shoulder. He looked at Moon that at Marry waiting for there response hoping they would let them keep the cat. His eyes filled with cheer and excitement nervous and impatient for their answer. "PLEASE?!"

Howlite

Howlite followed after the others to the dyer area, a large cliff face on one of the surrounding hills. The ground in front of it was a much more solid version of the marsh they had landed in, similar green plants growing on a soft, though fortunately this time mostly dry, surface. The cliff itself was side on from the human town and slightly higher up, allowing a good view of the settlement and the ocean byond if you stepped out from the hill's shadow. In the opposite direction from the town was a forest and opposite the cliff and some way off were the marsh and crash site.

”If we are worried about shelter we could always use the drill to bore some tunnels into the cliff face”

She suggested.
