Shurelia

Looking around, it appeared that even more strange people had shown up to this gathering, such as the individual in armor, among other things. But she maintained her focus on the one here who promised answers, even if otherwise it seemed like there would be a lot to learn from conversing with the gathered individuals. That would wait for a later time, she supposed. Right now her own situation was the one that needed to be addressed.

Answers she did get. Apparently they had been summoned here by a specific individual and this was not the first time that this sort of thing had happened. Idly she wondered what had happened to the others, but didn't as. It was likely that they would learn about that soon enough. Either way, now they knew who the one responsible was. She would have said that the Viewer was Mir, but this didn't seem to fit how she operated. Mir would have been much more proactive in involving herself in what they were doing here, not playing some sort of remote spectator.

But it appeared that nothing else would be done if they did not buy from this lady. While annoying Shurelia decided that it was reasonable for her to care about her business first and foremost. She just hoped that they were willing to accept currency like hers, given that they were new arrivals in the city and all.

Then she remembered her specific problem that she had to deal with. She couldn't exactly eat while she was wearing her armor, and taking it off now would expose her to basically everyone here. Even if it seemed less likely that this was some trick by Mir after all, she didn't trust them enough to be willing to do so. She hadn't even shown herself to Lyner of all people, and he'd helped save the world.

But there was one thing she could do, so she moved towards the waiting stand as she accessed her inventory. "I have some Leaf to pay with if someone would like me to pay for them." If no one took her up on the offer then she would just provide compensation in the form of currency for what Kyouko had taken earlier. Well, assuming they were willing to take that kind of money anyways.

~Nogami, Aoi~

The more she heard of the story, the more she thinks that she's in a reality tv show or she's having a very vivid dream. While her logic suggests thus, her senses are definitely telling her that this is more real than she would like it. Though she wants to pry further, there is a more pressing concern that she has to address.

"Umm... I'd like to buy some but I only have uhh... "

She paused for a moment as she pulls out her purse from her vest and rummages inside.

"I only have five hundred yen on me..."

She silently hopes that her currency is acceptable here. Likely a possibility if this has happened before as the woman suggests. If that is the case then she could get some more information as well as re-energize herself with what looks like good food.

Reinhardt and Ana

A look passed between the old pair, weighing up the girl's option. It was quite clear that whether they bought food or not, the information would be forthcoming in the end, and getting something to eat was all down to their ability to pay... and relative level of hunger. Reinhardt, obviously, had nothing in the way of money on his person at the moment. Conversely, whilst Ana did have the money, she wasn't at all hungry--and certainly not for the food on sale here.

Neither of them was likely to step forwards and join the queue crowding to make a purchase.

Shirai Kuroko

"Onee-sama, would you like me to purchase something for you? It seems that we won't be back in time for dinner after all," the teleporter asked, stomach growling. In the midst of all of these things that were either impossible or on the very edge of plausibility--such as the old man's armour, which seemed advanced even by the standards of Academy City, or the very concept of being champions--Kuroko was going to the thing that made the most sense: buying takoyaki to eat rather than trying to work out what was going on here.

Maybe it was some sort of accidental Virtual Reality experiment? It wouldn't be unreasonable for the Electromaster to accidentally get them involved in this mess...

Rex Salazar

Rex listened carefully as the horned woman started to explain the situation, though, what she had to tell him and the other lost individuals sent a chill down his spine. So apparently this 'Viewer' person somehow had the ability to take people from across universes and drop them all in one place, and she did this for her own entertainment? This made Rex think of Breach again, for she and 'The Viewer' just seemed so similar. He remembered the time when he was taken by Breach and put into some pocket dimension, where he had discovered that she had taken the entire city of Greenville, Ohio, and placed it in the same dimension to keep as her personal dollhouse. So this city they were in, was this the 'dollhouse' of 'The Viewer'?

"The title of 'Champions' first sounded pretty cool," he began. "But from what you're saying, it sounds like we're all just her newest toys or something!"

The horned woman had more information to divulge, but requested that the people present buy her food. Did she really expect anyone who had been plucked from wherever they were and dropped in this strange place to have cash on them for certain? Sure, a couple of them did. One spoke about paying in 'Leaf'? What even was that? Another mentioned that she had 'yen'. Rex recognized that as Japanese currency. He himself usually was not one to carry cash around, considering his job scope, though, he so happened to have some U.S. currency in his pocket at that point of time from a bet with Bobo he had won just earlier on.

Rex walked right up to the stand, curious to know more about what was going on. "Sure Lady, let's chat a little more over some snacks then, shall we?"

Tool stood and watched, listening. A gathering of champions, a forced convergence of power. Being undead, however, there was little reason for him to take the horned girl up on her offer. He stepped nearer to Reinhardt and Ana, the larger of the pair easily spotted. It was always wise to stay close to those that you knew. He only hoped that someone would take the horned woman up on her offer.
