@Klomster I think there might be to some extent, but manatee has a tendency to take ages to post, and knowing that I can put any interrupted plans back on track as soon as possible is helpful. Or, more accurately, "I am inherently impatient, and want to make amends for being a jackass ASAP".

Is there an order in who posts?

I just post whenever i feel it is appropriate.

There's a certain unwritten order, but Klom seems to go by the way I generally do as well; all players, now we're not flying around all over the place, should feel free(er) to get their own things done.

Sophrus' idea(s) for example, I find, already make it seem like things are looking up!

Go-go gadget piratical doings.

@BCTheEntity Thank you BC. Sorry that I was a little assertive last night. I might have had a drink before expressing myself. In either case, mistakes were made, but nobody intended any harm. No hard feelings.

@Wraithblade6 Yeah, you did make your point quite firmly. No offense taken, though. Anyway, I'll post soon, and then hope Lucius doesn't get killed. I should get him some armour soon, somehow.

Post made. What happens next is pretty much in manatee's hands now.

I'm just waiting for someone to open the door. Once he's off the ship, Urgrugg can start being useful again.

Sorry to y'all for the long delay. Once Tee posts again, we should be able to move at regular pace. I'm only waiting on him. Although, I suppose I could make a few assumptions about what happens next and just post from there...

@agentmanatee I've been meaning to ask; Urgrugg has addressed Azazel a couple of times now, only to not get a response every time. It's fine, he was preoccupied each time so it'd be easy to say he just didn't notice.

That said, would working on fixing the orks arm be something he'd be interested in attempting? Or would I be wasting my time barking up that tree?

It's been a while, so I feel like I should post. However, I'm having trouble deciding what my post should be. I mean, as of right now, the only thing I can think to do that would be of any major impact to the plot would be to have my careless ork stumble upon some sort of emergency override lever that vents the contents of the ship into space. I mean, he's an ork, so that kind of random, wanton chaos is in character, I just don't know how well it would go over.

Thoughts? Concerns?

I say you can wait for a moment.

Or somehow contact Zuriel, don't know what that would achieve but it'd give a way to talk to those on the lander.

Or, am I'm just spit balling here... I could eject everyone out of the ship, and then teleport us all into the bigger ship. That'd certainly disperse the tension, right?

@Necroes He's just been stuck in a 'no warp' zone, is down an arm, and I'd imagine is not really up for teleporting an entire group of people anywhere - but if I'm wrong then...well...fair enough.

Has anyone not just thought of opening the door? Or using one of the many weapons in racks all around the ship to burn a hole through the decking and then into the hull of the enemy vessel?

I may sound a bit peeved, but as I said about 'initiative', does anyone actually read past posts or bother going back and doing so? Does anyone think 'what would my character actually do'? What would an actual person do?

We've got a magic Ork, a corrupt mechanicus dude who - if I read correctly - is actually coming back to get us all out (though I could be wrong), and a bunch of superhumans who could probably wrench a nice hole open once they stop being enemies and become best buddies. Surely, surely, someone could suggest a way to remove themselves from the Lander and into the Imperial ship without having to resort to deus ex Orkoid?

As I said, may as well have Greenie grab a melta or general torch implement, point it toward the deck, and burn a hole straight into the ship.

@Jbcool Waz ah melta?

No, but seriously, Urgrugg has no idea what any of those weapons do, or how to use them. Being a weirdboy, and not a mech boy, he doesn't just Know how to use tech. While he recognizes that technology is a thing that exists, and that it isn't warp-magic, he knows practically nothing about it. His magic has always been enough for him, and this is the first time he's been in a null zone for an extended enough period that it's relevant. Same would be true of opening the door, though that would be more because being a space marine vessel from the heresy era, it'd probably display in high gothic and he can only barely read low gothic.

As for being able to pull off the spell... short-range warp jumps are actually SOP for weird boys. Da Jump and Ere We Go are both examples of ork spells that could clear the gap, that can take the psyker and groups of 20-30 boys with him. Once he's outside the null zone, warp energy will flood back into him, so he'd have the raw power. Being an ork, he ignores wounds better than most space marines. So, once outside the ship, there's no great reason why he couldn't cast the spell.

Also, being 40k... wouldn't it be Caesar ex orkoid?

All orks have an innate understanding of technology, some orks just go with it, and a few are oddboyz who focus on it. Normally known as mekboyz.

He'd probably have some grasp of what it does if he sees one. And it's a gun that shoots hot stuff, most orks and even some mekboyz don't even care after that part. Just point and pull the trigger.
Or a melta bomb. Orks are generally chaotic enough to just get them to work. Although that's with the gestalt field. Meh, Urgrugg is a nob, he's probably seen 'umies use melta bombs before.

And JB.
Imma gonna open a door on the scout ship. People will have to get their asses out of the lander and to the door themselves.
I mean come on, they are space marines and a warphead. Surely they can get that far no problem without a twitchy psychotic heretek holding their hands?
I'm working on getting people aboard the ship so we can have some interesting stuff go on again. So i'm just waiting for:
Someone to contact Zuriel.
People starting to mill about outside the lander.
Muck about long enough so Zuriel goes tired of their lazy asses and contact them to get their asses moving.

Also, i could meet up with the renegade guardsmen. I'm sure we'd have a wonderful time :)

So how many of us can survive the vacuum of space? If Zuriel went through an airlock and had to venture int he void to enter the next ship, a few of us may have a problem with that.

@Wraithblade6 Most other Space Marines have hermetically-sealed suits, and maglock boots for walking on ship surfaces. Lucius... at least has slight void protection, due to Marine biology and that.
