Total pacifist trapped in the robotic/cybernetic body of a machine meant for war...
-He eventually trained the AI to behave itself... most of the time... at least when it mattered.
-Still can suck to wake-up one day as robocop under remote-override for "lethal-enforcement only".
(Being a corprate mass-produced thing in the 90's, there were, like... 50 versions in the same continuity... yay...)


Somehow I only just noticed these links XD is that last one an actual part of the comic? or an edit to make fun of today's political climate? XD

I'm almost done with the OOC, it'll be posted today, so keep an eye out ;3

In other news, I had an idea. We can collectively set the scene of the 'now' through our characters, tell the story of our particular area of the city through it, you know, include the events related to said characters preceding the beginning of the RP, since we've got quite the variety of survivors. Seems like that might be more fun than me over-detailing the city at large right off the bat >w>

On a side note, if anyone is good with maps I would be delighted to have their assistance in setting one up, otherwise I'll make a half-assed Paint.net map that'll serve to just give us a general idea of where everyone is in the city xD

And, that aside! If anyone has suggestions to include in the beginning portion, now's the time :D cause we're gettin there ;3

did the change cause similar mutations to people in the same area? or is it extremely sporadic with nobody in the same building getting the same change. is there even any possibility for duplicates?

Also I may be awful at drawing but an mspaint community world map sounds loads of fun

I may actually suggest that anyone interested attempt to make a world map >3> I'll drum up an 'extreme simplified barebones' version, and anyone who wants to could refine it further >3>

Aaaand, It is a very chaotic change, there's no real rhyme or reason behind, at least none 'currently' recognizeable, behind the pattern of mutations, or lack there of in rare cases, that it causes. Of course, duplicates, and highly similar cases, are entirely possible, just not likely.... at least, not outside the failures anyway ;p

Here's that halfassed map I mentioned XD... like I said, extremely simplified XD... Although, the simplistic organized method seemed like it might fit a Corporately designed city, neatly arranged, organized, easily traversed, easily controlled.

Gray: Factory District
Brown: Slums
Hot Pink: Party District ;3
Green: Middle Class Residential and Business
Red: Security District
Gold: Big Market District
Light Blue: High Class District
Black: Corporate Towers

Thick Black Lines: Super-lane's between districts, and for traversing the larger more cluttered districts. They're all built well above the roof-tops of anything outside the Security ring.

Now that that's defined... I shuold probably update where the towers fell >3>

I have some images gathered as examples of each district, and I can describe it all just fine [both of which will be in the OOC version] :D I can't draw for shit though.

Does the city have an underground? For subways? Sewage systems? Once both but now all abandoned and rumored to be inhabited by strange luddite cultists with swords?

this sounds like something out of a game >3>... There would actually be a whole net-work of under-ground workings, subways, facilities, micro-factories, bunkers, deep tunnel transport systems supposedly impossible to raid successfully as they move back and forth between factory, security, and corporate >3>... Yeah plenty of bits are probably abandoned though, supposedly, corporate wouldn't want to waste resources updating things they can just replace.

Nice. And the only game that might have inspired that thought could have been Dues Ex: Invisible War, but even then, only if you combined the fascist Templars from that game with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Which, come to think of it, might not be out of the realm of possibility in a setting like this...

Anyway, I am still working out a character concept. Thinking about bringing some prehistoric fun into this. Mainly of the humanoid Pteranodon variety.

Good heavens, that's bound to be interesting XD And I can't say I'm not allowing inspiration to hit me from a variety of cyberpunk sources, Deus ex, Shadowrun, even that 'sunlight' animation if anyone's seen it. >3>

Anyway! I'm almost done, just gotta type stuff about the map's locations, put the finishing touches on my own CS, and jabber out an intro that'll lead into the first posts for the IC... oh! and a little list of example technologies >3>

Technically speaking everything is available to those who can afford it... things just may be more or less affordable depending on who you're willing to deal with in acquiring it.

Since the Corporations technically 'are' the military, former military in this era means former Corporate as well... which is likely to mean new criminal too, since leaving the corporations legally is extremely difficult. >3>

There are many Deathloks.

But judging from the source, and the background, and the in-image topic... that's the Micheal Collins (pacifist) Deathlok unit in a canon moment.

And although that narrows things down a bit, all I figured out is he managed to work alongside Drax, before Drax was cool. (Yes, Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy, he's human BTW)

EDIT: Canon His son brought him to "show and tell"/take daddy to school

Unfortunately, I didn't get to finish the OOC today due to interuptions, but It's very close to done and I'll finish it after I've woken up... and re-read over it of course XD

Seconds to minutes I'd say XD it'll be more interesting if everyone's still gotta get used to their changes >3>

plus, that probably means that new powers and the like won't work on anything but instinct just yet, so it should still be something of a challenge to get around.

Which reminds me, I should've added a little 'abilities' section... though actually that could be under secrets really...

OH yes! Also! If you want to work some NPC type character, or get someone else to work them with you, since we're probably starting relatively separate from eachother, That's perfectly fine >3>... My guy is likely to have at least one of his body guards survive for instance XD I might roll for that actually. >3>

On a related note, given the size of the city, and depending on where some people start, it could potentially take a couple of days, or a week, for all of our characters to actually meet up as a whole, given the mess that's been made of the city or how quickly some are moving. Nothing says people closer to eachother won't meet up much sooner of course, or someone might get lucky and find a way to get around a bit quicker... We might even meet up much sooner if things work out really 'well' XD
