Basically, this RP will be about a group of people in modern america forming to unearth cryptids and such. Think X-Files, but with more folklore. Anyone up for it?

Haven't RP'd in awhile, but this reminds me of one of the golden oldies I was in before GuildFall. Though that one was more focused on WWII with a BPRD-esque group of soldiers and supernaturally gifted individuals tracking down beasties/mysteries around Europe.

Count me interested!

Kind of. It's not an official government operation. Mostly a few fringe scientists investigating the paranormal and supernatural. An unofficial Men in Black.

Nope. I'd prefer your character to be human, but they can be literally anyone. I use the term "scientist" here pretty loosely.

Been listening to more Art Bell classics lately so my muse is pretty high for this, definitely interested. Was in another game briefly with you a while back. I'd take the Co-GM slot if you still need one.

I'm currently going through my list of monsters and such looking for good ones. Also what time period?

Some ideas:
Mothman (could go a few ways. One theory says it was some sort of crazy technology since it didn't fly so much as float. Or the fact that it was believe to be trying to warn the town about an upcoming bridge collapse. ))

The Flatwoods Monster One of the creepiest alien stories I've ever heard.

The Beast of Bray Road
Possible werewolf or giant creature of the same kind.

Bigfoot
I like what the SCP wiki(great for monsters) did with them. Look up SCP 2000. Basically the Bigfoot used to be the dominant species then humans turned them into monsters.

I am interested, also huge fan of the SCP wiki. As for aliens, my favorite kind are the weird ones, but who are obeying the laws of physics. but that doesnt fit well with common conspiracy theories.

Yeah, these ones will be based off of encounters. Gray, Nordics, Flatwoods.
