Yeah, that's a possibility. Though I'm afraid i'm not caught up enough on my worldbuilding to know what the villains of the city would consider impressive as far as stealing things goes

@Flamelord, well, think of the silver age comic books, or the Saturday morning comic books. Finch's gimmick is glass. So maybe he holds up a diamond exchange (clear jewels = glass) or traps a few important people in glass boxes (terrariums?) and holds them for a ransom from the city he doesn't expect to get. Just for sheer shock value. What would Finch do to boost sales of "Bad Guy Merchandise" or be so audaciously over the top that he attracts heroes just for a fight?

Yes, I know it's a cliché, but you want to get attention. Refuge in Audacity; it's crazy enough that it just might work. Even if Finch prefers lower risk for higher payoff.

Yeah, he does prefer low risk but he also wants that attention. The risk thing s mostly because he likes not getting beaten up (like most average people I've found.) I'll think on it, see what I can come up with

@Flamelord, so a.ridiculously elaborate death trap works. Finch makes his escape after the hero realises that immediately beating up Finch leaves the Mayor vulnerable to pain or injury.

I'm not sure if this at all fits with the world or character, but for some reason I want to see Finch approached by an advertising company. Like, they want to add some 'edginess' to their brand, so they want a supervillain to advertise for them. And of course they'd pay quite well, but they'd require Finch to praise Pepsi in public or something like that.

I dunno, this image just popped into my brain and it amused me ^-^

@Old Amsterdam@Banana@ihinka I see the beginnings of a clique or bookclub of ladies. Reagan, Teagan, Spectrum, Anomaly and Traveler all getting together over drinks for mutual support, with Dragon only being allowed as Spectrum's chair.
