I do find it a little amusing that as an Irish woman, Blaine doesn't drink :V
That and Genevieve's internal monologue amused me while writing it lol.

"Oh, it's just another woman. Crisis averted. She couldn't possibly be coming over to chat me up and hit on me."

@Alfhedil Weeeeeell... In all honesty, Blaine wasn't coming over to chat her up and hit on her... yet And let's not forget she grew up in New Orleans, not Ireland. Which of course also means she would be proficient in French /which I'm decidedly not / and French pronunciation

But, yeah, we're doing okay and Blaine doesn't plan on making a nuisance of herself After all, wooing takes time Slow and steady wins the game

@ihinka So her accent would probably have a little bit of cajun to it, though maybe less so depending on how much time she spent abroad and in Salem. Maybe I'll have Genevieve throw out a little French for some authenticity to her shenanigans, though as I am also not proficient in the language that might complicate things a bit :v As an aside, there are some subtle differences between French dialects, such as Cajun/Louisiana, Southern France, Northern France and Parisian. It would be about the same as the regional dialects between different areas of the US.

Also, good to know she's not going to be a nuisance, that would put a wrench into things quite early lol. Just waiting for that moment of "Oh shit. She is hitting on me."

@Alfhedil Yes, there will be the inevitable awkward moment of "Wait, are you...?" "Um, yes I am... Should I appologize?"

And, yes, there will definitely would be some Cajun in her accent, considering how much time she spent with Loup Garou, her New Orleans were Alpha. I'd say her Irish would be really mild, since she was little when they moved to America and afterwards she only spent about two years there. But she did learn Gaelic while she was there /which I also do not know, sadly/. And sure there would be differences in French pronounciation, as there are in every language, my own included But still, it would provide Blaine with a leg up on at least being able to pronounce Genevieve's name correctly, which I'm hoping would be a plus *fingers crossed*

@ihinka Yes, though she's not as hardcore on it as our lead hunter :v

The language thing though is definitely a point of interest, and will gain hers as well. You could probably guess how many French-speaking people come through Salem on the regular, and how many she's known. Hint: Not very many. Still, at least I'm a little reassured that Genevieve isn't completely tone-deaf and was sitting there trying to figure out the accent of someone quite clearly Cajun :v

Not entirely sure how that awkward moment is going to go down, it's not something she's ever really thought about, though she doesn't think about relationships as a whole in truth. It will definitely be interesting to see how it plays.

Nice, I've actually got a little more time in the morning since I need to run to the bank when they open, though again not guaranteeing a post. We'll see how everything lines up.

Sort of working on a post @ihinka, got the vaguest of migraines working me over right now. Can say at the very least that Blaine has acquired Genevieve's curiosity and interest. Might even get a "Hey you." next time they meet :v

@ihinka Ugh. Just as bad. I'm glad I'm the only person in my box when I'm at work :v No one to poke at me and bother me, just gotta watch a building all night lol.
