Okay! As promised, here's the Roleplay thread.



Zzz... huh? Oh no! I overslept!




I'm so sorry to keep you waiting. Not my intention whatsoever! My darn alarm clock didn't go off and– What am I saying? You're not here to listen to me ramble. My apologies... Welcome to the world of Pokémon! My name is Professor Elm, but everyone calls me the Pokémon Professor. Before we go any further, I'd like to tell you a few things you should know about this world! This world is widely inhabited by creatures known as Pokémon.




We humans live alongside Pokémon as friends. At times we play together, and at other times we work together. Some people use their Pokémon to battle and develop closer bonds with them. Others work on making their Pokémon the most beautiful they can possibly be. Pokémon Professors, like myself, study Pokémon so that we can have a better understanding of them. And still, others have found even more ways to connect with these amazing creatures. The world is truly full of possibilities!

Now, why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself?








As I said, I'll be accepting three others. This is not first come, first serve. You may start with any Starter Pokémon from any of the regions.

@Raddum I would prefer everyone starting with a Starter Pokémon, however, if you want still want the Tyrogue it could be a gift after you obtain your starter but before you leave town.

@Vetis Pokémon can be from any region so long as they're caught in an area that makes relative sense – i.e. catching Cubchoo in Ice Cave. The only requirement for the first Pokémon is that it is a starter – it may be any starter from any region. As you can see in my profile, my character is starting with Oshawott.

Once we have all of our players, we'll discuss details around potential party members and plot~

Ahh! Right. Hidden Abilities are fair game, just don't go overboard. I'd say, for simplicity's sake, that starter Pokémon cannot come with their hidden ability.

Well here is my character, hope its okay :)

Basic Information
    Name: Sigrun
    Age: 12
    Trainer Type: Regular trainer/Co-ordinator
    Gender:Female
    Eye Color: Blue/ Green
    Hair Color: Dirty Blonde
    Height and Weight: Average for a child her age

Overall Appearance

    Hair Style/Length:straight and shoulder length (mostly hidden beneath her hat)
    Notable Features: a light smattering of freckles focused on her nose and a vertical scar down/over her right eye
    Build: petite/slim
    Clothing:

    Sleepwear - just a plain white nighty
    She doesnt really have any formal wear

    Accessories: *wears a burnt orange fingerless glove on her right hand, dark triangular sunglasses and a hat similar to this:

Personality/Preferences
    Likes: Dango and Necessary violence and her pokemon

    Dislikes: Unnecessary violence and rudeness

    Personal Flaws: Nail biting
    Has an over tendency to apologise and to claim either herself or her pokemon are 'ungraceful' She often hums as she walks, the three songs she most often hums are 'Binks Sake (from one piece)', 'Let's start a Riot (green day)' and 'Monster (Skillet)'

    Skills/Hobbies: She is a great singer and can play the guitar and violin.

    Personality: revealed IC (cause I never stick to Written personalities)

    History: After having a modicum of success in contests in her home region of Alola, Sigrun decided to spread her wings and explore how other regions perform in contests. On her way to the Jhoto region her interest was peaked by talk of the pokemon league and so has made it a goal to see if she has what it takes to battle for badges as well as maintain and improve her contest performance.

    Favorite Pokemon Types: Ghost, Bug and Dark
    Battle Style/Strategies: Main styles she uses is to either try and steam roll an opposing team or she will go for the stall tactic with things such as substitution and toxic stalling (and other sneaky like tactics)

Unless Renval intends to take Pokemon Yellow into consideration, which has Pikachu as a starter. Otherwise, I'm not sure myself.

At this point, I feel like I’m stalking Poi.

Pretty busy this season, but a few RPs are closing on my end so I might be able to make a character pitch. Maybe. What is the deadline you’re setting for applications? How will you be grouping characters together? I know you have a lot of high concept game mechanics, but does this mean this will be more of a game than a character-driven narrative?

@Poi We won't really be using levels per say. It'll be more coming to a consensus for battles/evolution/etc.
