Whoa, awesome starter post, Mokley! I should get a post up later today--just taking some time to block it in my head. Anyone have any prerequisites? I think I'm mostly going to post about Griff milling around and deciding that he will go try to carve out a chunk of the mote during the night when no one is around.

@Ink Blood Hi hullo! Yup, totally still accepting! As far as magic goes, this post answers a similar previous question. Essentially magic exists, but it's subtle and based in superstition. :)

With it being subtle, what sort of concoctions would an alchemist be able to make? And, would an alchemist be able to make crazier things once transported to the new world?

@Ink Blood Welp, I'm generally pretty easygoing as far as ideas go -- so if you've got something specific in mind, go for it! At the very worst I'll definitely work with you to tweak what you've got to fit into the world. :)

Could my character perhaps already have been sucked into this fantasy world prior to the others? Not by long. Possibly a month at the most? Definitely not long enough to know much about the world.

@Ink Blood I'm not the GM, but from the information posted in the OOC and the approved characters, I think this game doesn't revolve around characters being sucked into another world entirely. The characters are original residents of this world already. Born and raised here. It's just by touching the Mote, it transported them into another place that they might never have been to or even heard about. Or maybe they do know where they are. But either way, all our characters are just trying to find a way home, with their paths littered with adventures.

Don't quote me on that though. I would wait until the GM actually gives you a solid reply, but since they're not one right now, I suppose you can take a look at the characters tab while waiting for them to come on to get a better idea.

I think you're right. The way I understood it when I first read it, though, may it seem like the characters were sucked into a different, sort of Fae, world by the Mote they were touching.

Actually you're both correct, to a point! The motes mostly teleport around the world as your character knows it -- but a few stops might be a bit more trippy than others.

The first stop will be the scene of the first player's mini-adventure, so likely someplace else in the familiar world (that you've just altered by dropping a mote on it). You can make an argument for having your character already be at that place when the mote shows up, but you'll also have to have a reason to interact with the plot in the first place, since you'll already be in a different situation.

From a personal/GM standpoint, I strongly prefer that all characters start out in exactly the same circumstance. Call it a bonding experience. :)

Hey again everyone! Sorry for the radio silence on my end, was attending MagFest the last few days! Back now, and certainly have not forgotten the RP.

@Loki Odinson, I was originally going to wait for another person to jump in and post, but I could have one up in the next day or so if we think it's pertinent to keep action rolling!

@TMS Prime I was also actually thinking to wait until someone else post, but if no one is going to, then feel free to do so. After all, as long as neither of our characters touch the Mote, they can probably do anything else while we wait for other characters to show up.

Good lort, not the puppy! This is too much for me to handle.

I know I said post incoming, but I think I'll have to push it back to tomorrow due to travel stuff! Can't wait to see what's going on with these motes (and to get all up in Evelio's grill before that).
