Fair warning: I can get a bit twisted with concepts.
I have to make up for Mori (And Ichi, if he gets used) having tame backstories In-Character. I'd much rather the worst bits go on from here, rather than a lot of bad starting off for them. heh
Name: Kyosuke Yoshitaka Age: 19 Crest: Kindness Appearance: A lean young man with a light beechnut skin tone, orange eyes, and short but unkempt hair of a dark maroon tone. Bio: From a young age, Kyosuke was told to be nice. His parents, teachers and even older classmates always enforced the issue, causing the boy to take it to heart to a deeply personal level. In everything, Kyosuke strove to be ‘nice’, however, with working parents, this went untempered, and caused an almost pathological effect, which became ingrained into his behavior. Because of this, Kyosuke would apologize profusely, even for things that were out of his control. This caused a subtle rift between himself and his friends, as some of them thought he was doing it on purpose, and others were subject to reflexive guilt, while the rest simply thought he was too hard on himself. Kyosuke is a skilled and capable martial artist- a fact that he knows all too well. In fact, the majority of his social environment was his local karate dojo, and most of his friends were in the same starting class as he. At first, he and his comrades were rather competitive, with Kyosuke tending to lead the pack. He was even able to gain admittance to several tournaments among his class, and the local dojos. However, on one such occasion, he was to fight against an opponent from a different dojo, one whom he greatly outmatched. While he could have simply won by points or with a decisive blow, Kyosuke attempted to make it a fair match, despite his sensei’s urging. When he finally did end the fight, he delivered such a powerful, unexpected blow, that his opponent’s nose was broken. Devastated, Kyosuke shut down. He still attended his classes, but his training ground to a crawl, and he has not taken an advancement test since, much to the chagrin of his sensei and fellow pupils.
Name: Go Personality: A lonely Digimon who seeks companionship and guidance despite its virus nature.
He's probably the default nicest person in the group, both in terms of manners and just general outlook. He lacks the irritating traits of some of the others (Though like Alex, his worst trait is more of an annoyance than anything: His apologies are similar in mind to Alex's needy nature.)
Compared to the others, I'd also say he's probably the most in-touch with his crest. While he did 'shut down' as it was described in the bio, it doesn't point out his politeness or apologetic nature changing.
The fight that changed him also leaves some things to thought: Including why that last blow was so harsh. One thought I had was that while he was trying to be polite, and fair to his opponent, he started getting pushed back. Since he is competitive, the blow was probably a panic move; With him trying to ensure in that moment that the victory was his, and not his opponent's.
If that was how things went down, then there's things that make it more clear why he might not be as in-touch with his crest as he appears on the outside; Being overshadowed or proven to be below someone else are some things he might deeply not accept, but doesn't want to ever reveal openly because he truly does wish to be nice to others.
I only had these thoughts as they kind of cross over with Mori and his boxing; He takes it seriously and wishes to be the best, while lacking the kinder outside appearance Kyosuke has. Kyosuke had friends and accepted others while he trained, while Mori does it alone. It's actually a good look at why Mori's methods don't work perfectly, and reflects to how Kyosuke was the best of his dojo.
Though it also appears he's suffered due to his outburst, and now he has a much harder time doing his best. I'd put my money on Kyosuke still not letting others win over him, however. If any of my observations were true in the slightest.
This is all just me looking into what we have: Obviously it's not the definitive truth of the matter, I may be entirely wrong. But I see a man who's faults run deep and bubble inside him, rather than being exposed like the rest of the cast.
EDIT: As for Go... I think he'll get along with Mori's partner quite well. Not much to observe from him, yet
You're on the right track, but missed a few turns. It may not have been obvious, but it's actually the opposite- he doesn't want to intrude on anyone or show anyone up again- to a critical fault. Which wouldn't be as bad of an issue, but this is Digimon, and sometimes Tough Love is necessary. Take a look at his Digimon and tell me if you notice anything.
Edit: Yeah, Go would probably get along well with Dracomon, due to how outgoing he is. But there is a critical flaw here. I'm just waiting for someone to find it out.
I did notice that the Mega is a Data digimon, rather than a Virus one, while also more adapting to the close-handed style of combat from the looks of things. Seems like a duo that could be in search of clarity together, and will (hopefully) eventually find it.
Go's own development may be a quest of clearance, and purification of the soul. Perhaps it's something that Kyosuke also needs.
Nothing so grand as that, but it's an interesting observation nonetheless. Although Plesiomon is more of a support character actually, with his other attack being super sonar.
