Mali Anson

Location: Flight AA 296

"I've never been. I don't really know what there is to do there," Mali admitted, pulling her leg out of the aisle. If she was being completely honest, she didn't really know much about a majority of the country, especially outside of the East Coast and New England. Sure she could probably rattle off most major historical events that was taught in public school, but that knowledge didn't transfer to any sort of cultural familiarity. Then again, such familiarity would only really extend to those who traveled a lot, which was a relatively small group of people.

"If it were Boston, sure I'd be able to come up with a whole laundry list of things to do, but Chicago? No clue." The chicken salad was a salad with chicken in it alright. There were limits to how good or bad it could be. Even if this were a high class restaurant and not an airplane meal, it would be mostly the same. A bunch of lettuce with some other vegetables and chicken mixed in. The variety of mix ins and quality of ingredients would vary, but assuming a minimum of competence the experience would be more or less the same, which was fine by her.

Cecily relaxed slightly, taking a sip of the ginger ale to calm her nerves. Gavin's admission that he was really just there to keep her alive and wasn't planning on charging her with Natasha's murder certainly helped. However, she still couldn't be certain if he was trustworthy. She only really trusted Roy still at this point - and given that Natasha said she lied to her on her deathbed and Cecily hadn't even seen that coming at all, Cecily was doubting her own judgment when it came to trusting people lately. After all, she had trusted Caesar - and then ended up leaving his place in Mexico with Natasha due to his violations of Natasha's trust....Yet he had also kept her alive. He didn't have to do that. He could have left her to die at Queensguard.

She swallowed thickly as he asked her about branding, as well as when he mentioned he had a connection to Justice himself. She had to disagree with him - Justice wasn't the gates of hell. That was far too passive a role for the city. No, Justice was the Devil himself. It was a living parasite, somehow just as much an actor in all of this as anyone else was. "No, I don't," she told Gavin quietly. She rubbed her tattoo on her wrist a bit, trying to remember the reason why she had gotten it in the first place - to remind herself to be happy. "Do you have one?" she then asked him.

Keystone & Caesar

The voice mail was not remotely as polite as they had hoped, considering the source. Something of that abrupt and callous of nature surely could not have come from such an upright and benevolent organization as the Justice Police Department, not from the brothers and sisters in blue of such a pristine and morally sound group of paladinesque defenders of order. Beyond corruption, the first line of defense between the dark and treacherous lowlifes which prowled the streets of Justice and the noble, kind citizens who just wanted a normal life - 2.5 kids and a goldfish, average wage earning white picket fence types. No. Such hostilities were beneath them. Especially the parts about trampling their civil rights and threatening them with criminal charges to elicit sudden and immediate compliance. It must have been some other entity that left that message, masquerading as the Justice P.D.

Although, just in case they were wrong, it was probably best to address the issue. Keystone and Caesar had apparently gotten the same message, meaning it was likely recorded and then sent simultaneously to them both. Keystone imagined that their face would be red if they knew that they were in fact outside of the jurisdiction of the Justice Police Dept. right then, though that might bring up a boatload more suspicion to them. Caesar was taking a more scholarly approach to the issue, scratching his chin and pulling up the Email he received just earlier.

Yes, it was another touch of mystery; Caesar had gotten the same voice mail threatening his freedom if he didn't appear, which was strange as the initial Email from these people was informative, unlike Keystone's which requested his presence to ask about one of the people who had died. Interesting indeed. Now after a response that gave the intent of compliance but not immediate presence, the tone from the cops got a lot harsher. After a brief discussion on the matter between the two men on the plane, it was decided that this little issue ad to be nipped in the bud as soon as possible. Though there were concerns.

"Trap, y'think?" suggested Keystone.

"It could be. They sound desperate." It was a fair enough assumption.

"Ey, you're the one what used to be a cop, yeah? Mostly they just gave me the business, back in the day. What d'you think's goin' on?"

"Setup. These Justice cops... they're known for being bought. It's Mexico City all over again. They find somebody they like, hura assholes won't bother looking any more. We need to give them a body to hang this on. The right one. And proof."

"Yeah. Or skip the country. Ain't like either of us is from 'ere, yeah?"

Caesar growled at Keystone in a way that seemed to scream tired disbelief. No, that really wasn't an option yet. But a response would have to be made. So long as Caesar had his Email open, he might as well send the response from there. He attached his copy of the voicemail to the message, as to have a better vantage point for whomever initially read it, and began to compose.

To whom it may concern,

No problem.

Caesar H. Gonzalez
Owner/C.E.O. Machete Security Solutions

Caesar then made a copy of their communications so far, including the voice mail, and sent a copy off to Maria back in Justice along with a request for an update and a rundown of their legal options, according to Justice and/or California law. "We have a week. It's going to get real messy."

Keystone nodded soberly. They didn't get all dressed up for nothing.

Priya Khurana

Location: Funeral Home
Skills: N/A

Priya hated waiting and she hated not having anything to do. Something was off about this whole situation and she wasn't about to be put off waiting for transport. She didn't want Riley to get involved though, but the girl was partly her responsibility now. "I'm not in the habit of waiting long. Something is off and I'm finding out what. You can come with me or you can stay here, but I'm not waiting a moment longer."

Priya made steps towards the direction of the smoke, waiting for Riley's confirmation on whether she stayed back. Either way, Priya was dead set on getting to this fire. Maybe she would even find Tim over there. He was a police officer after all. And it was better than standing there, twiddling her thumbs in the hopes of something happening. She was a woman of action, damn it.

Flight UA 2199: Gavin laughed slightly and nodded. Rolling up his sleeve he showed a hell of a branding on his inner right forearm but it wasn't the symbol for males like that had been seen on others. It was a simple circle with the letters C and R inside of it, looking like something out of the old west. "My ma runs the Comfort Ranch outs Comfort Texas. Grews up there and I was a little brat backs then," he laughed as he thought back on it.

"We's were brandin' cattle, I's couldn't 'ave been mores than eight but damn I was man but I was a stupid one. Thought, hey it couldn't be THAT bad so I let a friend dares me into it." Rolling his sleeve back down he shook his head. "That thang burned worse than any switch taken to me backside growin' up. Thoughs I be thankin' that my friends got it worse than me. Oooo his daddy whooped that boys ass when he founds outs whats we been up to," he laughed.

Flight AA 296: Zoie chuckled a bit. "Well then we just have to figure somethin' out. Pretty sure there is plenty to be doin' there. I've been a few times but never long enough to actually gets a look 'round. Do knows there is a hell of a runnin' trail on the shore, be nice to gets out fer a run," she admitted between bites of her food. Looking down at her phone she squished her face up some and sighed a bit as she tucked it back away. "Granted gots to be takin' care of Marc and shit," she added as she started her dessert.

"Hopin' the damn feds get there before us then they can handles the parents," she said before taking a long sip of her drink, the ice clanking against the side of the glass. "Though withs all the shit Marc was in, who knows if they even knew he was a fed," she said under her breath. Sliding down in her seat she pushed her food tray back and finished off her drink. Turning on her side slightly she pulled her knees up, the seats were big enough thankfully. She looked over at Mali and forced a slight smile. "You knows we ain't had a chance to actually talk durin' this shit storm. So what ya like to do?"

Flight MSS 1: The stewardess came over and offered the men mid flight snacks and drinks. Granted they could get pretty much a full meal if they wanted it but it had been a little bit and people did tend to eat more if they could while on long flights. The plane was now over Nebraska and the sky was clear. Nothing but miles and miles of farmland as the eye could see. The private jet usually flew higher than commercial ones because it was less congested that high up and they could take a more direct route but all things considered they were already flying lower at about 15,000 feet. One could see the dots of the small towns here and there. Every so often one could even pick out a larger farm if there were enough buildings.

The plane oddly though started shaking as if it was in a storm. "Boss, we got some clear-air turbulence. Gonna drop to five thousand feet until we pass it," the pilot said over the intercom. He rarely ever flew that low unless things were getting bad in the air. A e-mail dinged back from Maria stating she would have legal take a look at things and see make a few calls to see if she could ascertain more. Far below them an orange old school hatchback was speeding down the interstate, it looks like nothing more than a little orange blip of an art barely moving.

Grimm, Indiana: The phone rang but it went to voice mail. From the direction of the fire, a police car came rushing towards the funeral home. It pulled up to the curb about ten feet from the women and parked. The door opened and Tim stepped out. "Fuck, I am so damn sorry. I was nearly to the fire site before I remembered Gregory had to head back to Chicago for some reason and I said I would pick you two up," he said in an apologetic voice. "Calls are coming in like crazy and I just don't have the man power..." he started to say but cut himself as he eyed Priya.

"Christ on a cracker, why didn't I think of it before," he said before clearing his throat. "Listen I know you are here for other things but I got a break out from the insane asylum and a crashed plane in my back yard. Small town and I got me and my deputy and he's on vacation somewhere in Florida. I could use a spare set of hands. Mind being deputized until I get this shit under control?" he asked Priya in a desperate voice. "Hell, you too Riley, I know you can handle yourself and you know the town like the fucking back of your hands. Might take your minds off things? I mean, if you both can't I get it, I just could really fucking use the help."

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Fisher & Sons Funeral Home, Grimm, Indiana

Riley listened on the phone, only for it to go straight to voicemail, and quickly just hung up figuring that he was busy as hell with the fire and whatever else was going on in town. Riley turned to look at Pyira for a moment, she could understand not doing nothing would really be a big pain in the ass. And wanting to go out and investigate the fire, Riley closed her eyes for a moment and sighed a bit and shrugged. "Sure why the hell not? Beats having to go nothing." Riley said, and was about to follow Pyira towards the woods, that's when she heard the police car driving up from the road and stopping just a few feet from them.

Seeing that it was Tim Riley gave him a slight smile as she turned around to face him. "Speak of the devil, we were about to go and check out that fire." Riley said, she bit her bottom lip for a moment as she thought about his offer, Tim and her go way back and she owed him a bit after the whole reunion thing and letting her leave town once things settled down. Riley looked at Pyira for a moment, she didn't know the town at all while she did, and she could use the help. "Do I get a fancy badge?" Riley asked with a slight smile. "We can help, it will keep things off my mind for a little bit at least. Where do you want us to go?" Riley asked.

Cecily's blood ran ice cold as he nodded, laughing as he confirmed that he had a branding. She was about to scream the equivalent of STRANGER DANGER! when he revealed the brand and she felt the wind knocked back into her body. It wasn't a male symbol. He wasn't a member of the servant class or whatever they were to the higher up female members. She noted the repetition of his surname - and figured that his family must have founded the town way back then. Either that or they found out their was a town with their surname and decided that they just had to move there.

"Do they know about you?" Cecily then asked, looking at him. "...I don't want another person to die because of me..." she then said quietly, turning her gaze as she looked down. She had told Natasha to get out. She had warned her. And Natasha died anyways. It didn't matter that it was natural causes - it was Cecily's fault that she ended up dying on the ground barely across the border, rather than being in a nice hospital somewhere where a doctor could see to her immediately. "If you aren't already in this mess...then I don't want you here, regardless as to who you promised to do a favor for."

Keystone & Caesar

Location: Past the Rockies, Flight MSS-1
Skills: Security Procedures
Skills: Seek The Guilty (Investigation/Surveillance)

The fact of the matter was that people were dead, and the two men traveling high over Nebraska were likely going to be railroaded by corrupt assholes employed by the Justice Police Department. Caesar knew what that was like; he was once a Commandant of the Mexican Federal Police, now retired. Anyone who had heard of them knew about their overwhelming problem with corruption. It was just as bad as Justice PD, maybe moreso. The only way to fix it was to dismantle the entire organization, one brick at a time. It was a painful period in his country's history. There was a lot of blood spilled. It was in this time that Caesar built his reputation for honor and brutality. It occurred to the older man that maybe that was exactly what needed to happen with the problem in Justice - a reckoning of fire and blood, burning out the infected and leaving the good, decent cops to pick up the pieces. It would hurt, but if effective it would give them a chance to heal. The problem was, that only worked for the Federales because they did this to themselves. Outside intervention from Caesar's people would turn Justice into an open warzone. Maybe he was better with that than this intrigue bullshit.

Lord only knew that the intrigue bullshit hadn't done very much for him so far. Most especially as it came to attempting a preliminary to an investigation on the area. It was like there wasn't any direct information stored digitally anywhere. Nothing of online newspaper archives, nor public police reports; no ratings for restaurants. No local businesses. Nothing in the way of City Hall nor Chamber of Commerce updates. It was like the whole town was stuck decades behind the rest of the world, else someone had intentionally scrubbed the internet of anything to do with Grimm, IN. The only things he did find that could remotely be considered a lead was when he came across something about the prominent family in town, name of Grimaldi. An old family by all accounts, with one member living in Chicago, running a bookstore. After securing a vehicle, they had a source of local history to track down.

Not only that, Grimm was the hometown of someone that Keystone shared an apartment building with: Riley Ridgeway. Superstar girl that had gone a-slumming in Justice, CA, for reasons unknown to Caesar or Keystone. It was also the hometown of Marc Tinder, one half of the duo that killed Alicia (and was supposedly still alive). Scrambling a hasty message together, Caesar inquired of his Tech team:

"Track down the phone number of Riley Ridgeway of Boston Heights, Justice CA."

Keystone's own efforts were stymied at all corners of inquiry. Setting up shop while not physically on site came to a swift and undramatic standstill due to a serious lack of available information. It was like the entire town only existed in the secondhand stories of others, devoid of direct, hard data. Several stories of murder and mystery leaked out every now and again, as well as hushed tales of multiple locations around town, but nothing provided decent pictures of locations nor the info he required to choose a decent base of operations. It probably didn't help that the town was so small that available spots were highly limited and likely well known to everyone still living in Grimm. They were going to stick out like sore thumbs.

"Eh, Boss? Ain't a bloody thing to be found on this. Can't set eyes on it 'til we're on the ground." He understood and shared Caesar's frustration. It looked like their best option was to get rooms at a local Ramada Inn and branch out from there, as unsavory and overt as that might seem. Unfortunately, actually getting there seemed like a faraway concept right at that moment. Keystone ordered a glass of scotch from the stewardess and contemplated his options carefully, deciding that a lack of knowledge was an uncomfortable thing.

Flight UA 2199: Gavin nodded. "Yeah, pretty sures they do. I'a been workin' on some shit storms of me own around the state thats I think ties back to thems. Ain't caused enough of a ruckus yets I guess for them to comes fer me," he said before taking a drink of his ginger-ale. Setting the plastic cup back down he looked over towards Cecily with a bit pity on his features and shook his head as he cleared his throat.

"No, no, yous listen to me Miss. Ain't no ones death yer fault unless you dids it yerself. Evens then, shit storms happen and if yous protecting yerself it ain't yer fault. Don'ts be gettin' into that mindset, it be dangerous. Yous work with cops, peoples is gonna die. It's parts of our job. Yous keeps movin'," he added in a stern but understanding voice before leaning back in his seat and getting comfortable "Anyways, if a damn rattlesnake ain't been able to takes my ass out yet, I ain'ts gonna be worryin' none," he added with a bit of a chuckle as he tapped his leg, indicating he had been bitten at least once by a poisonous snake.

"So's wanna tells me what you be thinkin' is all yer fault?"

Flight AA 296: Will update again once Mali is posted for.

Flight MSS 1: There was a short email sent back from Maria. It would inform him that for now all she could get from legal was that they were fine to stay out of town as long as they were back within the week. If they couldn't get back in time to let her know and she would see if she could get legal to wrangle an extension or at least some sort of video conference so they could be questioned. The entire letter was formal, all but the last line. She ended it with: Fuck them, deal with this shit first." - In Spanish of course.

They hadn't been able to crack a number for Riley as of yet, not the one that Roy had given her anyways but there was a number for her apartment in Boston Heights and for her parents house in Grimm. There was also notification that Riley's sister Chloe had been killed recently in Justice and had been transferred to Riley to fly back to Grimm along with flight information that showed that Riley and two detectives had flown out of Justice the night before and landed in Chicago on the red eye this morning. Det. Priya Khurana and Roy Gregory.

The flight was going smooth now. At least as smooth as one could hope all things considered. A notice came in from the Justice Branch of MSS separate from the previous two. Apparently someone had gotten into the vehicle holdings the night before and stolen several of the company vehicles.

Grimm, Indiana: Tim seemed to let out a sigh of relief. At least he had one willing to give him a hand. He just hoped that Priya would be as well. Nothing against Riley but Priya was a cop and had training. "So, think you can help out as well?" he asked Priya. He hoped that since Riley did and she had come with her she would jump on the bandwagon as well. He was really desperate for help right then.

Before Priya could turn and run, a car pulled up and Tim got out. Priya did a double take, considering she had just mentioned the guy and now he was here. Still, it was a blessing. She walked over to him and before she could ask for a ride, Tim offered her what she had been hoping. A chance to do something other than stand around. "Tim, I know we just met and all but I could kiss you right now. Been itching to do something. Weird things just happened. I would like to help."

She was unsure if Riley should be involved, but Tim did have a point. It may take her mind off of things. Priya walked over to the car. "Shotgun." She opened the door and got in, waiting for the two. They couldn't see it, but Priya was practically chomping at the bit. Desperate to get moving and be of use, considering Roy was pursuing something without her. This was the next best thing. Or maybe the next after the next. Either way, it beat running down the streets by herself towards a fire.

Riley looked towards Tim and then Pyira for a moment as she started to make her way over towards the car, she didn't mind letting Pyira take the front seat she did sit in the back with Roy during the drive to Grimm. Riley stopped for a moment and then looked at the weird stained prints in the ground. "Hey Tim, not sure if its blood or not but there are those prints right there. But i'm sure you have some more pressing matters to attend to obviously." Riley said towards Tim as she made her way and opened up the rear door and then sat down in the back.

Riley sat down in the back leaning back in the seat, she wanted to do just about anything really to just keep her mind busy as much as possible. "So what exactly happened at the asylum?" Riley asked, she remembered that it was the exact place that Cynthia had been held up for the last several years. She wasn't sure what to think about the plane that crashed from what Tim said, and she assumed that it was possibly just some kind of engine failure but it was weird not every day you had a plane just crash land outside of town. "What about the plane any news from there?" Riley asked.

Keystone & Caesar

Location: Past the Rockies, Flight MSS-1

Caesar smiled upon completing the Email from Maria. She certainly had a way about her, all formal and proper, but capping off her point in a manner that spoke to her origins. "Fuck them, deal with this shit first." Yup, that was the plan. Despite the abruptness of Caesar's own Email back to the Justice P.D., he was mentally perusing his legal options in his head. It had to be passed by Legal, of course, but a few of the points Maria brought up echoed his own thoughts on the matter. Corrupt or not, they had to maintain the illusion of respectability to forces outside of their influence. The result might just be that the entire house of cards fall down. Ergo, certain legalities and/or rights had to be addressed. At least on the surface.

Meanwhile, the Tech Team had uncovered something interesting, albeit not exactly what Caesar was looking for: Another murder, this one a Grimm, IN native (and Riley's sister, how coincidental) named Chloe. "Keystone... Superstar's already on scene." he rasped rather absently, still reading the information sent to him. "Along with two cops. I met one a while ago... Roy Gregory?"

"Yah, I heard o' that one." remarked Keystone. He was apparently a friend of the Coroner, he remembered the name from a conversation over Italian food with Cecily. "Don't know a bloody thing about 'im, though." It was true enough. Hearing a name in passing did not transmit otherwise undisclosed information about the guy, except that she trusted him.

"Never heard of the other. Detective Priya Khurana?" Caesar looked over to his junior partner hopefully. Maybe he heard something. Instead of anything useful, Keystone just shrugged and gave a an exaggerated look of bewilderment. He didn't have a clue, either. "I have Riley's number in Justice. And her parent's number in Grimm. Nothing direct. I am going to get an address on that bookstore. What do you have?"

Keystone heard every word that Caesar had said, but he was too busy looking at his own screen with barely restrained anger to respond immediately. "Sod me bloody buckfuttin' sideways!" he roared, considering the ramifications of putting his device through a window. "We're a Security Bacondamned Company, yeah? Well, we suck the cover offa golfball at being bloody secure. Serious. We need to pull up stakes and leave Justice far fongin' arseways. I'm done with this indelicate bearshite."

"ENGLISH." growled Caesar, "Or Spanish. Pick one. What happened now?"

Keystone took in a deep breath and exhaled, trying to calm himself. "Right. Despite patrols, personnel, cameras, bloody secured facilities, locks, and the tightening of ALL THOSE THINGS after the MURDERS what took place under the same 'secure conditions', regardless of the additional manpower present, an' completely ignoring the additional protocols put into place; the arrival of the new tech team overseeing the facility and your niece who's s'posed to be some smartbitch bloody savant, not to mention your hardass ex-wife keeping things in proper order, also mentionin' the truck-punchin' London East Enders I brought in personal to keep things solid on the ground, YET ANOTHER FELONY was just perped against our location. Motor Pool has been ransacked. Several of our company cars stolen. Wasn't most of them rebuilt older model muscle vehicles, what Alicia worked up? They gotta be distinct for an All Points, yeah?"

Caesar was highly unamused. "Yes. Like every precaution we took was pointless." His face was grave.

"EXACTLY. No bloody point in doin' a damn thing extra if it ain't doin' a sliver of 'elp, is it? Might as well let the staff go an' drop contract. I'm sick an' bloody tired of it all."

"I am, too. The second the right people are dead, we're done. At this point, we're losing money hand over fist, our reputation is in the toilet, and doing a disservice to our client. You're the Associate Director. Handle this latest mierda de toro above board, and get ready to cut our losses. Um, inform the cops, get a list... something."

"Yeah Boss. On that." Keystone prepped a short and decisive Email back to whomever was manning the system, in indeed anyone was at all, with instructions to file a police report and make sure that a full report got into his inbox ASAP. He wanted to know for himself which vehicles were missing.

Flight UA 2199: Will update again once Cecily is posted for.

Flight AA 296: Will update again once Mali is posted for.

Flight MSS 1: The information they needed would come up with a simple search -

Grimaldi Books: Owned By Adelaide Madonna Grimaldi. Located 1501 E 57th St. Chicago, IL 60637. A Rare Books store that specializes in rare books, first editions, and more. The largest occult library outside of the Vatican is located within the walls of Grimaldi Books and may be perused for a substantial fee. Adelaide Grimaldi is a graduate of Yale. Her degrees include Ancient Mythology and Business Management. She was married to Master Gunnery Sergeant David Lawson, who was once thought K.I.A., and many of her charitable donations goes to Veterans Services in the Chicago area. A Graduate of Grimm High School, where her family was the founding council back in the 1700's.

Ms. Grimaldi is the lead expert in the nation on ancient religions and is just recently back from a European Tour on her latest book release: Surviving Grimm: Finding Triumph In Tragedy

A report comes in from MMS in Justice from their tech department:

Breach was no hack job, whoever was part of the theft used administrative passwords and codes to gain access.

Grimm, Indiana: Tim was beyond happy that both of them were agreeing to do this. "Oh thank god," he said before going through a quick deputizing thing. Rushing into his car he pulled out of a locked box under the passenger seat he retrieved two deputy badges. Sadly having to deputize people in a small town was a common enough thing to have him carry these around with him. He had to when Chris was out slaughtering people. Marc, Lawson, and some others had gone through the same.

Quirking a brow he looked over at the footprints that Riley was pointing out and narrowed his eyes. "Fucking hell, that's Bertha," he said under his breath. "Here, we'll head to the crash site, I'll explain as we go," he said before climbing into the driver seat and fastening his seatbelt. Starting the car up he drove to the next intersection and turned the car around before heading down the road on the backside of the graveyard and towards the crash site.

"Had an inmate break out. Bertha is what they call her. She took out two orderlies using balloons. I don't know what is going on with the crash, why we are headed out there but there is word that they found multiple bodies but that two of them they are saying did not die in the crash itself."

Cecily nodded, her face paling a bit as Gavin confirmed her suspicions. Juno wasn't just a Justice problem - they were an everywhere problem. It couldn't help but make her wonder if they had somehow had a hand in Natasha's death - yet she couldn't think of how that would be possible. Unless she got test results back on Natasha and found out her cause of death from those experienced in autopsies, she only had her suspicions and what she knew as a forensic tech. Forensic techs rarely dealt with the body itself - instead being handed off pieces to run analysis on such as a blood sample.

"Natasha...She shouldn't have been flying to Mexico and then driving to Texas in the first place if it wasn't for me," Cecily said softly. She then tapped near her bullet injury. "...She was taking care of me...And if she hadn't been doing that, she would have been at the morgue or the hospital - where people could've done more to help her than let her die on the sidewalk all alone...." Cecily's eyes started to water and she looked down. "I-I-I told her to get out...They killed my boss too..." She couldn't help but feel that Wallace's death was her fault in that moment too.

Priya Khurana

Location: Tim's Patrol Car
Skills: N/A

Priya took hold of the badge. It wasn't much to look at and she questioned why he had them readily available, but she wasn't going to nitpick. Instead, she buckled in and awaited their arrival. As they drove, Tim talked about Bertha. The clues were there and now a more sinister meaning was behind the balloon. Priya thought back to her sister and the serial killer that plagued her own family.

The plane crash was where they were heading, it seemed. "An escaped convict, a plane crash, and a fire? All in a short amount of time? I'm not big on coincidences. If the two did not die in the crash, were they killed before it went down? If so, that raises more questions. Hopefully, the answers will follow."

Priya closed her eyes during the travel. Immediate thoughts of her sister left her emotionally drained, especially when connections were made, however distant they were. She could feel herself getting tense and she didn't want to broadcast that to Riley or Tim. So she leveled her breathing. It was the best she could do other than punch the window.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Grimm, Indiana Outside of Fisher & Sons Funeral Home, -> The Back of Tim's Squad Car.

Riley looked at Tim as he handed her a deputy badge, accepting it and looked down at it for a moment running her fingers along the badge for a moment. She started to think maybe changing her career a bit, if things didn't change but then again music was also something that she was truly passionate about and always had fun doing it as well. Then her eyes wondered over towards Tim when he looked at the bloodied foot prints in the grass. Bertha was apparently the person's name and was an escaped convict that happened to be from the insane asylum that Cynthia was held up in.

Riley buckled herself in as Tim started to pull out and drove around the back of the graveyard and towards the crash site. [color=cyan]"So how do you exactly kill someone with a balloon?"[/color\ Riley asked as she clipped the badge to the waist of her pants looking towards Pyira for a moment, wondering what she thought about her hometown now. Two confirmed serial killers, in the town's history as well as the sudden plane crash as well. At least she was with two actual cops now, having more experience than she ever had she wasn't sure what she would expect at the crash site either. "By the way you don't happen to have a spare gun on you or anything?" Riley asked, as much as she didn't like using guns she felt like she needed some kind of protection on her.

Keystone & Caesar

Location: Past the Rockies, Flight MSS-1
Skills: N/A
Skills: N/A

The Email was shocking, to say the least. Access granted by all parties involved thanks to the use of administrative password and upper level coding. This pointed to a betrayal. Otherwise, this was a hack job, but a previous one where certain information was lifted and the guilty parties waited until much later, until a key event occurred, to utilize it. What that key event might entail was beyond Caesar at that moment, though it wasn't as if there weren't several from which he could choose. Naturally, the horror of much of this could be explained much more simply: Though he had always trusted the people he brought in, it could exactly be betrayal. Even if it was brought about by means of solid blackmail or the like, it was still an act of betrayal. Someone very well might have violated his loyalty, which was already difficult as hell to come by but as firm as granite once acquired.

"Talk to me, John." Caesar's voice was calm and soft, while still retaining its gravelly, growling quality. And he had used a first name with his junior associate. This was new.

"Yeah, Boss?" Keystone sat forward. He recognized that something was different here.

"If someone turns on you. Sells you out, snitches, whatever... what should you do?"

"Depends, I suppose. Somethin's got to get done, and bloody-damn quick, at that. One bloke flips on ya, only time b'fore another does same."

"I know. But if this person has been good to you? Loyal? Forced to do it? What if it wasn't their idea. Something has to be done still. More than ever, I think. But not as far as it could go. Do you understand what I mean?" There was something he didn't want to say out loud.

"Riiiight." agreed Keystone cautiously, drawing out the syllable. Did the old man suspect something about him, or was this an old man with a real dilemma that needed a friendly ear? "You couldn't have nothin' to do with them for a long ways, I'd say. But if you got a party banjaxed by some fuckery or another, it'd be an act of mercy to give'em a way out. Stash them and theirs far away, taken care of, 'til all this sorts out, y'think?"

"You would do that? Really?" There was a rasp of disbelief in Caesar's tone. He leaned forward to give the giant Cockney a good eyeballing while waiting for a response.

"Nah. I'd beat 'em bloody and let the 'ospital sort out their particulars." he admitted. Continuing, "They live, I'd still flip a bloody coin. But begging your pardon, Boss? I ain't you. I never done what you did. You're a bloody fongin' legend, if you don't mind my sayin' so. I'm a bloke what hits people."

"What about you, Keystone? I know who your people are. We've been tracking your progress for a long time now, scouting you for our company. Other companies have too, or they should have been. I know what you did in China, too. All of it." Maybe that last part was an exaggeration, but he did know much. "You could have gone into legitimate prize fighting. MMA has become huge lately. And you were an amazing boxer before. You never tried. The money would have been better, faster. Why?"

"I, ah... hell you babblin' 'bout, old man?" He was flustered. This was not how he expected the conversation to go.

"It's because the money isn't the biggest thing for you, is it? It never was. That is why we hired you. Champion quality fighter, knocking in skulls on two continents just to learn more from the masters. That is dedication. That is a man who isn't bought. You accepted our offer because you wanted to learn more, didn't you?"

"Yeah... where're you getting off at with this?"

"My house is out of order, Keystone. You're as much Familia as you are Outsider, now. When the time comes, I need you to help me put my house back in order. Can you do that? For me, for M'hija? For your son?"

A gravely serious look came over Keystone. If Caesar was asking what he thought he was asking, this was massive. "I'm your man, Boss. You know that. Long as certain lines ain't crossed, I'm at your call."

"Si. Okay." It was good enough.

Caesar drafted an Email for Maria, restating the message first sent to him by the Justice P.D. concerning the names of the people responsible for Alicia's death, also reiterating that the Federal Agent, Marc, was reported as possibly still being alive. He further explained that he was not sure how the trip to Indiana was going to help with that in the least, but that he was still willing to give it a look, just in case. Further, until the incident with stolen vehicles was handled to his satisfaction, he was changing the codes and passkeys and making any high Administrative level decisions dependent upon the approval of two business officers of Department Director title or higher. Standard procedure for a compromised system. That should leave four people, including himself and Keystone, capable of approving these decisions in the Justice branch.

Further, he sent a message along to his ex-wife, stating in less obvious wording that if she was in a bind and needed extraction, blink twice. Or the sentiment thereof.

The Email to his new Tech team was mostly just the orders explained to Maria, but in more of an imperative tone. As in: "Do this". Further, he wanted an update on the thefts ASAP.

Meanwhile, Keystone got a touch of good news from a simple online search. In contrast to the very serious talk from before, he perked up a bit with, "Right! Got me that address on the bookstore you was askin' into... And a bloody biography on the lady what owns it." One name in the blurb about the lady stuck out: David Lawson. It sounded familiar somehow, though he could not place from where. "Ey, Boss? You know a David Lawson? Military bloke? Can't place the spot I know that name."

"Yeah, I do. He's dead. Recently. Lived in Boston Heights." These coincidences kept piling up. Here he just wished that he could grind this Tinder guy into paste and go about his life, too. Things were getting more complicated all the time.

Flight UA 2199: Pulling out a red bandana Gavin handed it over to Cecily and shook his head. "Why that is just nonsense. Ain't yer fault someone decided to do sumthang little lady. Peoples responsible fer their own actions. Shit I bet ya she would have gone even if ya ain't bein' hurt. Anys excuse to get out of that place is a good ones I suspect," he said as they continued to fly.

Over the intercom a message from the captain came over. "We will be making out final approach to Chicago in the next thirty minutes, please make sure to finish your meals and get your trays in their upright position," he said before it went quiet again. The stewardess began making her rounds. Gavin looked out the window and then got to eating right quick like since he had been talking to Cecily and not eating. The man knew how to put a meal away quickly it seemed.

Flight MSS 1: "Boss, we will be landing in 20 minutes in Chicago," the pilot said over the intercom. The stewardess for the flight came by and picked up any trash and such before double checking and seeing if the two men needed anything else before she got seated for landing. It wouldn't be long now before they touched down.

Word came in that they would be meet by an woman that had just recently been hired by MSS out in Boston but had quickly been transferred to the Chicago location. A Miss Claire MacManus, former Semi-Pro MMA fighter that had spent some time out in India running the underground circuit. The woman was a heavy fist but had a background in linguistics and music and had done part of the private security for a Miss Adkins during her last concert series before getting hired by MSS.

Grimm, Indiana: Tim rubbed his face slowly as he kept driving. "In this town nothing surprises me anymore. They say big towns are where the action is, but here, this place just seems to attract the odd," he said before shrugging towards Riley. "I got not fucking clue and thing is I don't think I want to know. Balloon is a new one even for this place but I do know the woman was put away for killing a man by giving him an enema of glitter mixed with glass and then force feeding him laxatives," he said cringing.

"Okay, I know you took out Chris with a gun girl but do you actually know how to handle one?" Tim asked as they pulled up to to a line of tape and the fire truck blocking off further traffic in the area. The fire department was busy trying to put out the fire in the woods, digging trenches and trying to get it contained. He put the car in park and popped his neck. "Well this looks like a shit storm."

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Grimm, Indiana, The Back of Tim's Squad Car -> Crash Site
Skills: N/A

Riley looked towards Tim for a moment raising an eyebrow towards him when he mentioned the story of Bertha and why she was imprisoned which made her shudder a little bit. As Riley looked out the window as Tim continued to drive towards their location. She looked back at Tim when he asked if she even knew how to use a gun and gave him a nod. ”Yep I do, had a run in with some gu6 names Mr. March or something like that anyway he is like some hit man or whatever.” Riley said shuddering a bit remembering not that long ago that she was just leaving the Justice Hosptial after what happened at the asylum there.

”Anyway luckily Roy was there, he helped me and got me some shooting lessons and applied for a gun license after that.” Riley said as she watched that they were now finally there at the site seeing the fire truck that was there. Riley wasn’t sure if Tim would actually be more than willing to lend her a gun of some kind but seeing the site there it might be dangerous and she wasn’t sure if that crazy clown or whatever the person was still nearby. ”It looks like a typical day in Grimm Indiana. So what’s the plan? Riley said.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Flight UA 2199 (Seat 2B)
Skills: N/A

"...That's nice, but I don't think that's true," Cecily said softly, taking the bandana from Gavin. She knew that she was intending to dry her eyes with it, but instead she just gripped the fabric, on occasion rubbing her thumbs against it and focusing on the texture. It was a calming practice - one her college roommate, William, had often done. He went through stress balls the way some people went through Altoids Mints and had to come up with an alternative. "She was going to get married...had just moved to Justice...I don't think she wanted to escape or run away or anything like that..."

She hadn't known Natasha very long, but she didn't strike her as the type that would relocate to a new place and then abandon her entire life - especially not the person she loved. She heard the announcement on the intercom and started to pick at her food, having to consciously tell herself eat a little bit - good, now, try to eat a bit more... It was like how she had to coach herself to go to therapy - put one foot in front of the other, one little step at a time. She doubted that she'd finish her food but at least she would eat something before landing in Chicago - and then Roy would be there and she could crumble into a little ball safely.
