GM already knows this, and is ok with it, so I am just letting y'all know what's going on. I am abroad for the next two weeks, so replies to posts may be slower than expected as I don't know how much free time I have, but when I do get the time I will try. Have a good time, and I'll try to check in at every opportunity!

Yep! Blenheim is busy being a responsible member of humanity while we're stuck having fun.

You guys are well on your way. I will, of course, be around if you need any NPC or world interactions (going for anything in town or around the city, etc.). When you are all ready, jump to the road and I'll lay out the next scene.

Responsibility is a double-edged sword.

So! Do you guys need anything from me to post on? We can just as easily skip to the road if you want. Let me know!

I'm not in a rush, but also happy to move things along if others want to get right into it.

Hey, sorry for not having a post up by now yet! Life's been busy.

Also, good luck with your responsibility @Blenheim!

I'm not in a particular rush when it comes to the rp's pacing, but I have no problem with doing a timeskip to the tavern or road if ya'll want? Either way I'll try to get a post up within the next twenty-four hours!

A bit of bonding time might be nice at the tavern. Also, don't be worried about real life. I understand that shit can get in the way.

Gisk! Awesome pic, man! Keep it up!

Default visions are normal light, low light and dark. Normal light is what we all see normally. Nothing special. Dark vision is the ability to see in pitch black with no light source bit suffer from light blindness during the day; basically a reversal of light vision. Low light is like cat’s eyes. Lowligjt vision can enhance small amounts of light to see at night and such. Low light does not let people see in pitch black and makes you vulnerable to sudden drastic changes in luminosity (bright to dark or dark to bright) as the eyes try to adjust. Low light especially is vulnerable at dusk and dawn when the light changes.

How bad is light blindness? I'm considering getting dark vision for my character.

Btw, interesting (and logical) mechanic for vision. I'm used to the D&D version where there are no downsides to low light or dark vision.

Yay, drawing. :)

@Gisk and @Royaletutor59 if you guys need any lines from Nem for your posts or just want to throw ideas around I'm happy to help (we can also do some super short collab if that makes it easier for either of you).

Love me some collab.

@Luckless Thanks. I try to keep mechanics simple but I always feel like there should be good with the bad, up with the down.

Light blindness sucks. I played a character with that condition once. It was quite restrictive. In truth, I'm not going to enforce many mechanical limitations on you guys. Instead, I prefer to trust my players. So you are free to depict it however you like. Consider it kind of like being in a dark room for a person with normal sight except your eyes hurt.

Ah, I forgot to mention I was gonna go with low light. :)
I’ll be sure to add squinting in here and there. I’ll also favour the shade and indoors.

Lowlight is a nice middle ground. You don't really have trouble in daylight. You'll just have trouble in rapid shifts in brightness. However, you are free to play it in any way you like!

Have to say, I was super tempted to take dark vision even with the light blindness, but having my character blind like a mole was a bit of a turn off. Maybe I'll have my back up character have dark-vision though :B

Okay, guys. By no later than this weekend and maybe sooner as my schedule allows, I am going to advance us to the gates on the next morning IC time. You guys don’t have to wait for me if you want to post early but I will be setting up for the two day trip.

Feel free to post in retrospect what you characters do to prepare. If you lag behond bot that’s no problem. Everybody is invited to catch up and enjoy the story!
