"Okay, that makes sense... but then if no one was around, why were you talking under your breath? Not like Sobek's sitting across from you, like usual?"
"Mm-hmm. Well, I'm not too worried, either way. You know I love you and just want you to be happy and healthy, right?" Ivy asks, going into the kitchen. She puts on oven mitts and opens the oven, unleashing a heavenly, mouth-watering smell. She sets the platter on the table, and removes her mitts.
"Then why would you lie to me? I'm sorry, love, I'm being paranoid, aren't I? Of course, you wouldn't." She smiles at him a bit sheepishly. "Thanks, Arthur, but that's.. straight out of the..." her voice trails off. "Oh what the hell?" She shrugs and takes a cookie. "Mmm, that is better straight from the oven," she says with a mouthful of cookie, covering her mouth with a hand.
"Oh!" Once she gets over her surprise of Jacob's hug, she lays her head on his shoulder. "Okay, I'll try. Being a loner doesn't excuse him for bad manners, but I get it," she sighs.
